All Lecture, Tests are easy if you study and know the info.

Very good teacher. Simple class if you go to class and study atleast a little.
Great Teacher. Test Hard!
GREAT teacher. She is the dean of psychology, so if you can get her, DO IT! She has a great way of interactive teaching that makes the class really fun and easy to pass.
She's a great teacher. Class is very easy. I never went to class except on the days of the tests and I got an A. Just study the book and you'll do fine. When I did go to class, she kept it interesting.
loved the posted lectures
she didnt just lecture but she made sure we comprehended everything in ways we can remember it
Great teacher. Very "from the book" which makes it easier.
very informative, and easy class! Do not skip a test she makes it 2x as hard! Other then that I give her an 10!
Just attend her class and read the assigned chapters once and you will fly through the tests.
she's a great teacher. i honestly learned a lot from her class.
she was a great teacher, very understanding
Tests are hard. She teaches the book which helps. The experiments are easy. Don't take her if you don't like hard teachers. She knows what she's talking about though.
Dr. Noll is awesome! She makes everything easy to understand and gives lots of great examples. The videos help a lot too and so do the review sessions. I wish she taught other undergrad psych courses.
Dr. Noll kicks ass. She is a really good teacher. She offers lots of studying sessions if you dont understand something and gives good examples. SHe is very fair and Cool!
She is an amazing teacher! She gives examples in ways you're sure to remember later and he has a sense of humor. I never thought learning the book would be so easy, but it is the way she does it. Posted lectures help and she's always willing to help in any way she can.. Good teacher-- A+
Amazing professor. Just read and go to class. Easy A. Tests can be tricky, take your time.
Very easy class. Study hard for the tests and attend class. Also get your expirments done early.
class interesting. teacher helpful. exams are horrible. take ur time, read the book, take notes, study outline, go to the publishers website for practice quizzes and go to TAs for help if needed... overall good course but exams are veryyyy tricky. as long as u study ull be fine :-)
Great teacher! Tests are easy if you read the book, but can be tricky - take your time. Definitely would take any opportunity to take a class with her again. I really learned a lot.
Dr. Noll is a nice person, and genuinely cares about her students. It's an easy class as long as you attend and read her notes.
I agree with all the other positive comments. She is one of the best teachers I've ever had at USF. She is very organized and easy to follow. Print out her lecture notes and go through the book before class to fill them in. Then add additional notes during the lecture. Write down her examples!!
Awesome prof. Great lectures. Great sense of humor. She really tries to make sure everyone understands. She loves input from her students so ask lots of questions. Nothing bad I can say about her or her teaching.
Dr. Noll is a great professor!! You really should take her class!! You'll learn a lot-and she's very interesting. She's also very helpful. She's very approachable! She's funny! I loved her class!! She was definitely my favorite professor this year!!
Absolutely one of the most approachable, knowledgeable, and best teachers at the university. Just fyi, having a good teacher does not necessarily mean that he or she is an easy teacher, because she's not. You have to really work hard to get an A, but it's worth your time and money to take this class
Great professor and is passionate about her work. Know your theories and be able to apply it and you'll Ace the class with flying colors
Great teacher! She explains stuff so you understand it, and baisically if you go to class and pay attention you'll pass the tests! Take her class if youre taking pysch!
Professor Noll is one of the best teachers I've had... probably the best out of all my professors this year. Great teacher, makes class exciting, and really enthusiastic. Great asset to USF.
Don't go ANY further! ! I failed this class BIG TIME! She was not helpful AT ALL! And it was a HUGE 350 class size! The book is THICK and to pass this class you MUST basically read the entire book! She would read STR8 out of the book And make outlines and read them out loud things YOU can do on your own! I must say her voice was rather annoying too
I figured this would be an easy class, but she makes you earn you grade in the class. Going to class gets harder and harder as the semester rolls on. You will take around 6 tests in this class and she doesn't curve. Class average on most tests was around 65 in my class and there was more than 350 people in the class.
Amazing professor! She is passionate about psychology but her tests can be pretty difficult. Study the notes (which she posts on-line) and read the book and you should do pretty well.
Great Professor! I was intimidated by the large class size, but it turned out to be my favorite class. I was not interested in psychology before her class and now I am minoring in it. She relates all concepts to real life issues. As long as you pay attention in class, passing is easy. I highly recommend it.
Tests are extemely hard even if you go to every class and the study lab like I did. Grade is based only on tests, which isn't a good reading of your true knowledge. She doesn't give any other assignments or anything to help you get a better grade even though this would help many of her students. Class average was always really low and no curves.
She is a very knowledgeable and nice teacher. Always willing to help outside of class. Lectures are good, and tests are'nt too bad. Study hard enough and you will do fine. Read the book and attend pretty often. She'll tell you certain things that are on the test. Extra credit opportunities and experiments you do for class are pretty fun.
One of the worst teachers I have ever had. She should stick to teaching Intro. You can't teach a class by reading straight from the book! For this being her field of study, she doesn't know much at all. Take Todd Joseph or any other professor, just not NOLL!!!!
I think that some of the time it was a little confusing because she has been away from teaching this for a year I believe, and she probably needed to brush up on her teaching skills... but overall she was easy, the test weren't too bad, she offers 10 pts extra credit on experimentrak and her final poster board project was easy. We got an A on it.
oh my god, i could not stand the sound of this woman's voice. she addressed students as though she was ****ing at one of her kids, which she mentioned constantly. she couldn't step out of her mother role long enough to teach. i never went to class (once the whole semester), and only went in to take the tests. i got a B+. reading is the ticket.
I recommed her I had to repeat this class (diff teache) went to class 4 times out of the whole semester.. she is very boring.. ... there is def no point for you to go to class but make sure you read the book. I always read the night before the test so that answers my grade "C" ...but if you read way before hand then your grade should be an (A OR B
OMFG that woman bugs the crap outa me! Everything everyone else has said is right: she's boring, and there's almost no reason to go to class, but as long as you read on your own, you'll do fine. I didn't go for the last 10 or so classes, and I slept throught most of the rest... still aced everything. Just read the book.
This class was extremely difficult for me. I went to her office hours- didn't really help, I went to the Psych Study Labs- those did help me a little bit. I passed-barely. 70% exactly. I say, get the book and go to the study labs. It seems like a pain- but if its a class you gotta pass, then i guess its worth it.
The class was not as interesting as I thought it would be, and Dr. Noll gives WAY too many tests. I am not kidding when I say there is a test every other week. If you read the book however, the tests are pretty easy, but don't expect to get by without reading. I never read for my classes and do fine, but I had to read for this one.
Despite what everyone else seems to think, I think she was a great professor. I went to every class and listened and took notes. I got an A in the class, and I did try to understand. It was interesting, and she really isn't that boring. Also, she gives a test every 2 weeks, but they aren't too hard. I would definitely recommend this professor.
she wasnt bad... there are a lot of tests... but she does it to help so that her students dont have to take a test on 5000 chapters... i ididnt really read... but i payed attention and pulled off a B so really its not too bad
Such a good professor. Really nice too. Tests like every other week, but it brings up your grade, so dont complain about it. She is non-biased in her opinions when she lectures and I love her sexual inuendos while she lectures, they are just too funny. I would recomend her if your taking Psy 2012.
She knows what she's talking about, but not the friendiest person in the world. If you go to class, and pay attention and do the readings you should be good. Doing some experimentrak won't hurt either.
I thought this class would be really interesting, it's not. A lot the material is common sense. We had to use clickers so you had to come to class. If you read the book you will do fine on the tests. Her lecture notes are straight out of the book despite what she says. She was very helpful and a fairly good teacher.
Can't go wrong if you read and attend class :)
I LOVE professor Noll. She is such a great teacher! She provides you with the notes for her lectures ahead of time, so you can focus more on what she is saying then writing everything down. Her tests are easy as long as you read the chapters and study the notes. DEFINENTLY take noll!! :)
Dr. Noll is a very stron instrustor and a good lecturer. she keep her lectures close to her notesa posted on blackboard study the notes and the lerning objectives and you will go far.
Dr. Noll is a very good professor. I definitely recommend you take her, but act quickly because I am pretty sure her classes fill up fast. She actually makes the material much easier than the text alone.
She is a very good teacher she cares about her students. she always gives examples in her class to help the students better understand the terms. I am not going to lie the test arent easy. they are the kind that make you think about the situation. it's not like a definition test. there are many lab hours to help you with the material it helps a lot
Dr. Noll is great at making the textbook so much easier than it is. Although this is always a huge lecture class, she uses PowerPoint which can print out before hand so you're never lost. Great teacher, but her tests are killer.
AWESOME--take her. She explains everything well, and makes it really easy to understand. She's funny, and just a good teacher overall.
A little cheesy, easy class. CLicker points make the class required. Not fun. A little too much work for an intro class. but usually required. not so bad.
Have to go to class to recieve daily attendance/"clicker" points. Print outs available of power point presentations makes taking notes easier. Good at making useful analogies to help you remember content.
I would highly recommend her as a professor. She is the best professor I have had at USF. She explains things really well and she understands students. Her tests are difficult but if you just pay attention in class you will be fine.
This is my easiest class... if you go to the lectures it helps SO MUCH on the tests. There's a lot of reading involved to well, but if I put it off until the night before, I'm, still fine and have gotten nothing less than an A on her tests. She's a good professor.
She is such an awesome teacher. She helps you out if you just ask. Very nice. Her tests are kind of challenging because it's applying the material so you need to study and do the learning objectives. Attendance is important for the clicker points everyday. Overall great teacher and i strongly recommend her.
She is such a great teacher! I absolutely loved this class, even though I did not do as well as I thought I should. Reading the book definitely helps a tremendous amount!
I took her intro Psych class this semester and found it very difficult. The lectures are good, and she gives adequate notes as well, but the tests are extremely difficult. Be prepared for ALOT of studying, you have to know this stuff backwards and forwards in order to pass. Plus her office hours are at an odd time, and short. Difficult to see her!
Easiest class I have ever taken. As long as you read the book, follow the notes, and do the objectives, you can easily get an A in the class. Some of the concepts are a little confusing at first, but once you understand them well you should do fine. Attendance is not mandatory, but she does do clicker questions in every class.
i love ths lady. she is really funny and her class is interesting. her tests are easy only if you study the notes and do the objectives. there is clicker points...go to class!! and also u do research expiraments which sounds time consuming but they are fun. take this class. if you do the work then you'll get an A. :D
Her lectures are very interesting, and clicker questions come straight from the notes. The tests aren't multiple-guess though, you really need to know the material to do well. Complete the chapter objectives and do the assigned reading. Overall, a very good teacher who loves her job and does it well.
Great teacher. Loves her job. That class was a little difficult but as long as you pay attention and do the assigned readings you will be fine. SHOW UP FOR YOUR CLICKER POINTS!!!!!! its the easiest points to get and really help your grade and dont procrastinate on doing your research requirment
AMAZING teacher!! so helpful. class is lecture and she gives you pre-written notes to bring to class which is really helpful. she is very good at keeping the lecture interesting with many videos and good examples..makes information very clear. tests are kind of difficult, but you just have to study.
Great teacher! Attendance isn't mandatory but there are clickers and if you don't go it will bring down your grade. Class was fun. She uses all slides, they are all online before class and she goes over them in depth in class. I would take it again!
Favorite class last semester thanks to Dr. Noll. She is a great teacher and she really knows her subject. Psychology can be an easy if you go to all the lectures, take good notes, and study a little. If you don't understand something in the lecture make sure you ask and you will do well.
Very sweet lady! Made psychology alot more interesting then I'm sure other teachers could. She does really good powerpoint notes, but you still have to read the book because she gets test questions that are only in the book, not notes. Good to take for a social science credit.
Professor Noll is an AMAZING teacher. She makes her class interesting and if you study for her test (notes and book) you will do fine. Definitely recommend this teacher :)
Excellent teacher! She explains everything perfectly and she makes it interesting!
A great professor. If you got a bad grade, blame your priorities, not her.
This class was veryy interesting. Dr. Noll is extremely helpful and her test are easy. If you take good notes and study you will do fine. She also responds back to email quickly.
Prof. Noll was great! She is helpful and makes her lectures interesting. If you read the book, go to class, ask qestions in her office hours you will get an A! pay special attention to the clicker qeustions in class b/c she consideres those to be basic concepts of the matierial. good luck!
Intro Psych. Good professor, did not think the class was too difficult.
She was a good teacher. Good sense of humor during class which made it go by a lot faster. Need to go to class to do clicker questions (pretty much make up for a test). My TA Toni had attendance but I heard others didn't. I took her early class try to stay away from it...sometimes you sleep in :-/
She's really nice and she makes sure that everyone understands what she is talking about. Only problem this year were clickers. She had a hard time with the system and a lot of the students did too. She probably won't use them again. Make sure you read the book, use the online resource of the book, and DO THE OBJECTIVES!
Clickers are used so if you want points you have to go to class. She is a really good teacher and is even pretty funny. As long as you do the learning objectives and pay attention during lectures you will pass the test.
Dr. Noll was a great teacher. She is really easy, as long as you DO THE LEARNING OBJECTIVES before the test. My only complaint is she should have been more helpful with the clicker problems that were not the student's fault. Only advice, GO TO CLASS and GET THE CLICKER POINTS! they can make or break your grade.
Go to class, clicker points help out your grade A LOT. I wasn't particularly interested in this subject, but overall she was a good and funny teacher. Book is a necessity! but really, its all about the clickers!
She is really nice and makes the class fun. Really cares about the students and makes things easy to understand. I really enjoyed her class. TAKE HER
Overall, good class to take really interesting. Make sure you do the objectives for the exams and go to class for clicker points. Lab homework brings up your grade so make sure you keep up with that. Fun professor though I recommend! :)
omg shes so annoying she warned the class that students dont do well on her tests and the class average ended up being 68 percent and she posted a message on blackboard sayin the class needs to learn how to study correctly i think the that the test scores says something about her teaching not that the whole class doesnt know how to study
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. this is an advice from a former fellow to all coming generations taking intro to psych class.
Dr. Noll did an adequate job helping students understand the material, however we did not have enough time to go over everything that would be on the test. READ THE BOOK, or you will not do well. Also, do the extra credit! You can get an A if you work for it, otherwise easy B with some effort.
horrible professor. be careful incming freshmen and others... if u do not want a d or f on your transcript... do not take her. she rushes the powerpoints, doesnt finish where she left off if she didnt finish. HORRIBLE!!!
How to get an A: 1. Understand what you are reeading 2. Do all the practice tests online and buy the study guide 3. Go to the T.A. Sessions 4. Do the research requirement (easy 100) 5. Do the extra credit. 6. STUDYYYY. Dr. Noll is an ok teacher, but she doesn't have time to go over all the matieral. Don't be discouraged, you can do it!!!
Dr. Noll is an ok teacher, not very helpful.Puts me into sleep.no point of going to class, tests are not easynot an easy A class; however, you could get an A if you have a 84% or better on all of ur tests.4 tests, and NO final exam. This class is an easy B class. It is pointless to go to the TA sect., but it's mandatory. They don't help.
She is horrible, do not take this class. She doesn't teach everything and test questions are tricky.
Dr. Noll is a great professor. She is interesting to listen to and you can tell she loves her job and care about her students. If you just do the learning objectives and study them you will do fine. All the test questions are from the learning objectives. Print out the Chapter Outlines and you don't even need the book. Easy A. I enjoyed the class.
if you have her for a teacher, switch classes. if you cant, do ALL the work or you're kinda screwed. her exams suck.
Dr.Noll is very knowledgeable in her field and a great teacher. She'll let you know what sections to study and/or not worry about during powerpoints. It was a very fun class, but make sure you have adequate time to read and study. The tests are both conceptual and factual. I suggest doing the practice quizzes online. She has the textbook link on BB
if you can stay away from this teacher please do so her exams are very hard and tricky. i studied and still got a bad grade and i asked for help but she never was there. dont take very hard class
Her exams are bit difficult, but if you go to class and read the book, you should be fine. The study guide is helpful. Buy it! She does use clickers, and those points add up. She gives you plenty of oppertunities for extra credit, and is always available for extra help. So if you do bad in her class, its because you did not put forth the effort!
Well her tests are very HARD and TRICKY. Sometimes I would study for a week and still get an ok grade :( If I knew she taught like this I would have changed my teacher. Too late now.
Great teacher and class. Must buy the book though. There are 5 exams but only on a few chapters at a time-answer her online study guide questions and you'll be fine. She has notes that you print out and can bring to class where you fill in stuff but I didn't really use.
Great professor. Tests are a little tricky, requires you to apply concepts. Buy the study guide, it is worth every penny. Go to class otherwise you miss out on clicker points, which are extremely important to your grade. Overall, good class. Enforced the idea of majoring in psych personally.
As a freshman in college, this class turned out to be a pretty easy on. I bought the last edition of the book.. i opened the book once. Never used the study guide either. I did not put my heart into studying, but yet passed with an A. Do attend class every time and clicker points will help out your grade!
Dr. Noll is a great professor. She provides you with learning objectives for each chapter and the lecture notes are always posted online. Attend lecture so you can get the extra credit clicker questions - boosted my grade by a lot! All exam questions come from learning objectives. Great and interesting lecturer.
She's a great teacher and can be funny. I found the class interesting and many of the topics were fun to learn about. Her tests can be a little hard, but just study the material. The 'lab' points are very easy and so are the SONA points.
Dr. Noll was a great professor, but you have to attend class or read the textbook to pass the tests. They aren't terribly hard, but you definitely can't hope to look at the material the night before and pass. Easy class though if read/go to class.
great teacher, very qualified, passionate, funny. topics are interesting if you like psychology, tests are hard, work hard and you will get an A :] highly recommended
Sometimes she rushes to quicky through lectures, but thats why the labs are there for and your textbook.
Easiest class I've ever taken. Interesting lectures- easy to pay attention in class. Labs were pointless for me but they can help if you're not understanding whats presented in lecture.
Tests are very hard, lectures are long and boring, TA lab sections are pointless but count for 125 points of your grade, SONA points are all or nothing, I would recommend finding another teacher.
Noll is quirky and explains everything off the powerpoints she makes. The exams are hard, so you gotta study and going to lecture helps. Lab is mandatory and is sometimes better than class. You could skip lectures & just do labs, but both is better. SONA is all or nothing. We wrote 2 easy papers.Pat attn, go to class, and study!
Great teacher. She explains her powerpoints using references you can actually understand. You MUST attend lectures though, most all of the examples she says in lectures are on the tests. SONA labs are easy so take advantage of going to them right away before they run out of labs.
Noll is a great teacher. She tries to make class interesting, which she does well. Tests really arent that bad if you go to class or even if you just read the book. a lot of the questions were conceptual (applying the theories to real people etc) labs werent too bad, but it depends on your TA too
Interesting class, tests are doable, and labs are fun! I didn't do well on every test but still did well in the class. My TA was Krista Yakub & she was so helpful! I really LOVED this professor and learned a lot. I actually changed my major to Psychology because of Prof Noll. Great class and teacher. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!
I took her online intro to psych class and I liked it, but the tests were more on applying what we learned instead of asking specific questions on the concepts. I think that I would have done better on the tests if I was in her lecture class. &Start early on the SONA labs or else you'll find that you will run out of labs to sign up for at the end!
Great professor! Super nice and helpful and her lectures are very clear. Definitely get her if you need an Intro to Psych class!
Loved her class! She's funny and keeps things interesting. My TA was Fred, and it was a bad lab experience with him. You definitely need the book, but I would buy the "ebook" because it saves you money and the quizzes are online and can take them as many times as you want. Tests are okay. She likes application questions. But all multiple choice.
She is an awful sad excuse for a teacher. She doesn't even teach. She doesn't abide by her own syllabus. The syllabus didn't have the requirements she wanted or the test dates. She offers no help to students that are not doing well no matter how hard they are trying. Everybody in my class hated her. Her labs are useless when it comes to test info.
Even though I got an A in this class, it was most certainly not because of this horrible teacher. I love psychology and find it incredibly interesting, but Ms. Noll almost made me want to give up my dream of entering the field of psychology like my father before me and his father before him. She spurs no interest in the class and seems apathetic
Make sure you go to class and take notes! I earned a D the first time I took it, but that was because I goofed off my first semester (doesn't everybody? :) ) but I did better the second time around. Pretty easy, just do the readings and go to class AND lab. :)
GREAT professor! So helpful with anything you need. Make sure to read the book, go to class and the lab. She used clickers occasionally, but not always (attendance points)
Dr. Noll is awesome. Intro Psych (online) was challenging but there wasn't an overload of work. There are lectures every week, which really help clarify her expectations of you. Use the learning objectives!!
Dr. Noll is awesome! Absolutely enjoyed her class. Although it seems like her class is 15 hours long at times, she's really easy to follow and does her best to make it interesting. Everything you do in her class has a purpose and all ties together; so, show up for class, pay attention, use the materials, and do the work!6743
DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE WITH JANE NOLL!!!! I took this class online. Like someone else mentioned, the lectures are long and lack clarity. And her notes do not coincide with the lectures. She assigns lab work, which are long and tedious. Labs are pointless as in preparing for the exam. The book is also horrible and unclear.
Dr. Noll is awesome. Will take time out to meet with you if you have any questions. Gives powerpoints and learning objectives with each chapter. Do not buy the book, just online access (because you have online homework) which comes with ebook. If you use the notes/objectives with the ebook, guaranteed to get an A. GO TO THE LAB, EASY POINTS.
Shes good to listen to in class, but u have to listen really well and study! Shes not very clear on what u need to know all the time. I love psychology so much the class just seems all over the place. Her tests grades for the class are everywhere!
She is great. Explanations are excellent, clicker questions keep you engaged and are similar to test questions. DO THE LEARNING OBJECTIVES! These are where the test questions come from. She doesn't explain everything on the test so its important to study the objectives and make sure you understand each point. I recommend printing the ppoints before
Her lectures online are great. A lot of people complain that she teaches something and the tests are a lot harder. I find myself doing alright on the quizzes but always A's on her big exams. Her online lectures are explained very well. She expects that you read the book but I don't and I'm doing fine. Interesting sometimes and boring sometimes.
GREAT PROFESSOR. Very clear and funny and gives helpful examples. She does do clicker points as attendance but they boost your grade a lot. She is not dry at all and overall the class has been great! I would absolutely recommend!
She is fantastic at explaining things, but a lot of times she leaves it up to you to understand some of what you need to know for the exams. Her exams are not basic concept questions, but she asks you how to apply what you have learned to real situations. Overall, I have had to work really hard to maintain an A, but I have learned a lot from her.
Don't take with this professor. Terrible. I took it because her reviews were okay but I am failing this class because Noll makes it impossible to succeed. I literally wrote down every word of her power points & lectures and still got a 7/20 on the quiz because it doesn't relate to the material taught. STAY AWAY IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR GPA.
Honestly, Dr. Noll was a great professor. She's funny, and makes the class pretty interesting. You will HAVE to read the book if you plan on doing well. Luckily she posts learning objectives and if you 100% understand everything on there you will do great on the tests. Frankly, if you did bad in this class, you should probably reconsider college.
She is a helpful teacher. She encourages you to go to her office hour if you have any questions. Exams are not that hard,as long as you study the learning objectives she gives. Class is not boring too, she tries as much as she could to make the class interesting. I highly recommend you to take here for intro Psych.
She goes through the whole book (doesn't skip any chapters) so you learn a lot in the intro class. If you stay on top of the work, you will get an A in the class. Can come into office hours to see what you got wrong on tests and why. For the online class, you need to pay for the online proctored exams ($15 each). Need a psychportal access code.
Dr. Noll is AWESOME. Gives you learning objectives so you know exactly what is on the test. Lectures are pretty interesting. Willing to meet during office hours to see how you did on the tests. Gives a ton of examples during class so I would definitely recommend attending. Labs are a big part of your grade so go!!!
This was easily the best teacher I've ever had. She was extremely helpful and even gave extra credit assignments. The tests required some understanding to answer the questions instead of being straight foward. I highly recommend Dr. Noll.
Her lectures seem to last foreverrr and honestly it's hard to keep up so I learn alot from the online book we have. Make sure you do your writing assignment early it catches up quick and hard to do the night before.
Dr. Noll is a sweet heart, lab does enrich the class, launch and learning objectives ensure good grades. Clicker points count but not going to lecture a few times is okay. Do SONA.
The classes were absolutely unhelpful in preparing for the exams; she doesn't teach with the actual exams in mind. It is more useful to use that time to read the online textbook than it is to actually pay attention in her lectures. She is an engaging lecturer, and she does let the class out early a lot. This is a course that should be taken online.
She is an amazing teacher, definitely recommend for Intro to Psych. She tries to make jokes and make lectures entertaining, definitely keeps you paying attention. Exams are really straightforward, if you study her slides and learning objectives, you will pass without any problem.
There were only 4 tests the semester but that is your entire grade. The tests are ridiculously hard and she is the LEAST helpful teacher ever. She gives you a small chance for extra credit. Her voice is VERY annoying but you have to go to the lectures because there are clicker questions everyday. I found it to be a difficult class. need textbook
The class and lab are pointless, but both are mandatory. I read the textbook and made an A easily without ever paying attention in class. The material is super easy but there are pretty many assignments and Dr. Noll is really detached from her class.
Her lectures were always long and boring sometimes. She gives you all of the information, though. The tests weren't too hard if you studied. She uses clickers a lot!
Her lectures are dry and nugatory. Stick to the book and lab if you want to learn psychology and do well on the tests. Although she may be boring, she is a sweetheart. Noll is always there to help you, a quality most professors lack.
Lots of HW every week, two 3 page papers. "Research Requirement" which means you need to participate in studies or write papers instead. Tests are huge chunk of grade and very tough. I didn't study well for one and got a 60 and dropped a letter grade. Overall helpful and cares about students and your success. If you study really well, potential A.
Her online class is easy, requires about 2-3 hours of work a week. She gives "learning objectives" which are basically everything that is going to be on the quizzes and tests. Overall pretty easy class. Her online lectures are pretty lengthy but informative and she gives tips for tests and quizzes in them, although not necessary to passing.
Took her online, shes very helpful and does her best to make the class enjoyable and understandable. Her class is pretty easy but you do actually learn.
Her class is entertain and she explains things well. Her tests are exactly from her learning objectives that she gives you so use those. Research requirement wasn't bad. Tests are mainly easy. Make sure you attend class because often times clicker questions will be used on the test so its a couple of easy test questions given away.
Her lectures are enjoyable yet very long. Although attendance is not mandatory, iclicker points count towards your grade so you would only be able to miss a few classes. I would take this class again, if I could.
She's a nice person and is able to joke around at times, but she doesn't always clarify information. She likes application of concepts kind of questions, both in clickers and the test. You need to work hard for an A unless you've already taken psychology in high school (AP most useful). Tests weren't entirely simple.
Hard and tought / exams are 50% and they're hard
She is an amazing psychology teacher. She gives study guides and every thing that is on the study guide is on the test. Easy A if you ask me.
Dr. Noll is a very interactive professor, and engages the class in a very kind and helpful manner. Clicker questions are given during lecture, which might seem annoying because it makes attendance mandatory, but help understand the concept. Exams are not difficult, and there are many extra credit opportunities as well. I definitely recommend her!
I really enjoyed taking this psychology class with Dr. Noll. She's intelligent, charming and extremely witty. Definitely an interesting course with a cool professor. I would recommend it to anyone,
Dr. Noll is by far one of the best professors I've had. Her lectures are very interesting, she uses clicker points as a way to make you attend class, her grades consist of writing assignments/clicker points/exams/lab attendance/extra credit. She posts the lectures online and she is very intelligent
Good teacher. You get attendance credit through clicker questions and around 25 possible extra credit points. Also she allowed a lot of make up points on tests and papers. You cant cover all the material in a lecture so be sure to do the study guides and read the book. If you just read the key ideas from each chapter you should be fine.
Even though it was a big lecture hall, she would always try to connect and engage with the students. Attendance is mandatory because of clicker questions but they were interesting. I wouldn't say it's an easy A, because i worked for it, but if you read the textbook and do the learning objectives she gives you, and attend the lab, you should be fine
Took this class online. She obviously knows what she's talking about it but online isn't the way to take this class. It was pretty hard to find information the way she set up her modules/lectures. Tests were hard (administered using Proctorio). Extra credit could be earned. Would not take Dr Noll again.
She is an incredible teacher who makes psych super interesting and engaging. She is a super cool person and her lectures are great. Her exams aren't easy, but if you go to lectures you will be fine :)
She's an okay professor. Seems to have limited knowledge that only covers course material. Can't really answer supplementary questions. She can be condescending and she was also culturally insensitive quite often. Clicker points make attendance mandatory. Read the book and her slides while using the learning objectives. Gives extra cred options
She can be condescending and not very helpful. Went to her office hours multiple times and she didn't give me much feedback or anything. The quizzes and lab assignments are easy but the tests are extremely hard and she rarely responds to emails. Definitely wouldn't take this class if you don't have to.
There were only two papers during the semester (summer B) and they weren't that difficult. Just show up to class and get the clicker points, Dr Noll makes the lectures interesting
Dr. Noll keeps her lectures interesting and explains all of the topics very simply and easily. You can tell she has been teaching this for a while and does not assign very many things. There were only 4 tests the whole semester and they are worth a lot of your grade but as long as you study, I found them to be easy.
There were only 4 tests, 2 writing assignments, a research requirement, and clicker questions that contributed to your grade. The textbook is really needed but good to use before the test. The tests were simple, no more than 45 questions but missing like 5 questions is a significant drop in test grades. Clickers are used and important. Easy class.
Took the class online. Super easy, you have a quiz each week and then you have 4 exams in total that are proctored online, but you also have the option of taking them on campus. Only extra credit available was 5 extra points added to a test grade. She provides good material but can come off a little impatient.
This class was an easy A. 4 tests, 2 papers, and clicker questions comprised of your grade. She definitely knows the material and was humorous. Tests were very easy if you did the study guide (bless my older friends who took her previously!) and attend the lectures. She does teach a bit fast so it's nice to print the slides out before class.
I took this class online and this professor was a test heavy grader. The biggest grades that counted was 3 essays and 4 exams. The exams were mostly confusing (questions mostly taken from the weekly quizzes) since it didn't always match up with the lessons. 1 lesson and quiz a week. Exams can be taken online or on campus, your choice.
Attendance is key for this class. Lectures are like the key to passing because she literally talks about everything.
So far so good. I am taking the course online and it's really about reading to understand the information and applying what you have learned to the activities in Launch Pad. I haven't taken an actual exam yet, just quizzes. The quizzes are pretty much knowledge based so studying is key. If she has other classes she teaches, I will take her course.
Professor Noll is great! It's clear that she really cares about you and your success. She had great recorded lectures, and responded quickly to emails making this a great online course. Her grading scale is nice too, exams 40% homework 20% lab assignments 20% and 1 writing assignment 20%. The writing assignment was only 2-3 pages.
Professor Noll is pretty flexible and all of the information that falls on the test is discussed in her lectures - so as long as you pay attention in class and take notes on the slides she gives, you should be okay. The lectures aren't as exciting or interactive, but they still include a lot of information.
Really easy class. Her online lectures are really good to understand material after reading the textbook. Weekly quizzes and then an exams every three weeks were the norm. Studying is still necessary though!
Dr. Noll was amazing made perfect use of PowerPoints to outline exactly what we would be asked on exams. Homework outside of exams was infrequent and easy, she is really funny and makes a topic that I expected to be complicated very simple to understand. Show up, take notes, do the homework, study even slightly for exams, and you will get an easy A
She is not a good professor, and her class is very work heavy. Don't take her class. You will regret it.
Dr. Noll was amazing for Introduction to Pyschology. While the course is difficult, she makes so interesting. She included many of her own personal stories in the lectures as well as gave answers to many of the clickers. She also mentioned what was going to be on the exams. You HAVE to read your textbook or you WILL not pass the exams. 9/10
Great professor to have for an online class, very clear with expectations and grading policies. Exams are proctored and require hours of studying, weekly assignments due every Sunday but they don't require much effort or time.
Professor Noll herself is a good person. I met her during her office hours, but I took her Intro to Psych online and it was very time consuming, lots of work due weekly, and she graded relatively hard. Would recommend if you are looking for a challenge but not for an easy A
I highly regret not researching this professor before taking her class. Hardest and most stressful class I've ever taken. She's a tough grader and the exams make up a huge percentage of your grade. She is definitely homework heavy. Exams are extremely difficult and so confusing because they don't always have anything do with the lessons.
