you cant slack off in her class, but if you pay attention and take notes a good grade is no problem. and she is extremely nice and helpful. in 3 years of college i have learned the most from 1 class with her.

Very nice. if you take good notes and study them, you will get a good grade. Lab is easy and very interesting, Lab write-ups suck.

What can I say prof. P is awesome. I wish she was following me to Gainesville! She is very knowledgeable about her subject and is very helpful. Labs are alot of fun. Much more laid back than Chemistry. I, without a doubt, highly recommend taking her class!

She is a wonderful teacher! She makes it very easy to understand and really gets into her stuff. She makes it fun, but you have to study every day cuz there are quizzes every week. STUDY The notes and know it by heart and you'll be fine. TAKE HER!

She's a singer.....you'll see if you take the class. She helps you understand the concepts, but only if you GO TO CLASS. I missed a handful of days, and it is easy to get behind....she LOVES to give essays on tests...so KNOW YOUR STUFF. You can't B.S. your way through this class! Good luck.

She is very entertaining..she explains topics different ways and accommindates different learning styles. Very helpful when needed. She does give really hard essays on tests. She makes you understand the concepts. Highly recommended for BIO majors!!

Prof Pfeilsticker is awesome!! I highly reccomend here to anybody, Her notes are so helpful. I am now a bio major at USF and I still have not found one professor that can compare to her. In fact I still catch myself referring to her notes for help. Her test are easy only if you know the material cold. She is always available for help

For those taking this class, know your stuff inside and out and you will make up lost ground on the multiple choice section on the extra credit available in the essay section. Her multiple choice sections were the 2nd hardest I've ever encountered. Only Dr Hoffman's Immunology at UF was harder...

Took Bio 1 and II with her in 1999 and 2000. Ended up getting like 99%. She is extremely detail oriented. Has perfect notes. You cannot miss one class, or not take notes. Does a great job at explaining topics. Now, I am studying for the MCAT 5 years later and I still have a very good knowledge of the material. Great, great professor.

Very good professor. I wish I had her for lecture instead of just lab. She is very detailed and knowledgable. Is very willing to help if you have problems as well. She constantly checks her e-mail and responds back within a day.

Great teacher! Explains everything clearly and relates examples from biology to everyday life. Uses good comparisons to make us understand ard concepts. Test are harder than in other classes but it will pay off later. Quizes are easy-just make notes. She dances, sings and does other funny stuff just to make us understand.

Best Teacher ever. She keeps it fun and she teaches alot, which means there is a lot of studing and essays, but it was worth it. I got an A.

She puts her notes on Adobe so you can print her entire lecture off the internet! HUGE HELP! especially if your a bad note taker like myself.

Her biology class is very fun and exciting. She is very fun to listen to she is also interactive for everyone. Make sure that you study the notes for the tests and also for her quizzes. She tries to have a quiz every friday on the material that was covered during the week. Make sure that you show up for class to get the full understanding.

Best Biology Teacher EVER. She explains every thing in great detail. She dances around and sings and acts out different things. At first your like what is she doing, but when it comes to takking the quizzes and test you remember the information because she sang the songs and danced around. Highly Recommended

Great lecturer; good test writer. Not very organized. For instance, she never gave back about 2 months worth of time consuming lab reports. That's my only qualm. Take her lecture class for sure. I dunno about lab. She is extremely knowledgeable and willing to help.

Absolutely the best teacher I have ever known, and probably one of the best human beings ever to walk the face of the planet. Can you say "overqualified"? She's a genius. She explains everything, is very amusing, and the work is certainly doable. Doesn't just teach, she inspires. Needs to be more people like her, take her class if at all possible.

She is the most amazing teacher ever, she's pure genious, and inspires you to do your best, and she makes class fun and entertaining, as well as educational. Don't take this class if you don't want to have to learn the content, because you have remember what she lectures on. But as long as you're willing to work hard the class is a blast.

This teacher was brillant! I want her for EVERY class! She makes sure you know the material, she sings and dances around. She welcomes questions to help you understand. She kept things really fun and interesting. I have ADHD, and I had no problem paying attention. I got an A! If you are taking this class, you HAVE to take her. I will miss the fun!

The Best teacher ever. Sometimes things can be confusing, but it isn't because of her, its just that the material might be a little difficult. But if you ask questions, she is always more than happy to help you out as much as she can. She is the epitome of a great science teacher!!!!! I wish she taught BIO II and CHEM I/II!!!!

She's tough, but she's good. She's very knowledgeable about anything pertaining to Biology. I recommend her, but be prepared to study. Not a professor for the lazy.

She is a great teacher, very knowledgeable. The key to passing her class is to study all the notes at pay close attention to lecture. You will do fine if you do. I don't think I ever used the text book.

Awsome Class

She is the best professor I've ever had. She explains things so thoroughly, and gives real-life examples to clarify topics. She does dance around and sing, and that only enriches the learning experience, because who doesn't like to learn while at the same time laugh during class? She is a pool of knowledge, and I wish that I could take her again.

Great teacher but hard teacher. One of the smartest professors on campus and a really upbeat personality. Her test are written by the publisher of the book so the wording of the questions will be unfamiliar. She gave a retake on the 2nd exam, and there is extra credit on all of the exams(essay). This course is NOT an easy A but she's very helpful.

An amazing teacher. She can make atoms interesting. Very intelligent and always smiling. Best bio teacher I have ever had. She is FAIR on her tests. Take good notes, listen in class and study and you will pass the class. This is college after all.

I spend most of my time around doctors and doctorates, yet this is the most intelligent person I have ever met in my life. She is an amazing teacher who is genuinely excited about the material that she teaches. She uses story-telling and characterization methods to keep your interest and help you remember the material. Bonus..she is super nice!

Very intelligent and clear professor. She doesn't assign homework, but you better study for the hard tests. Quizzes every so often. ALSO, don't be suprised if she gets on the table and starts to sing to explain potential energy!

This was the funniest class I ever attended! I was completely caught off guard when she started singing "The carousel of hell" for the Krebs cycle . I really enjoyed her. She made sure that you understood her. Her tests were all on her notes, it is only hard if you don't study. Totally recommend her!

Great teacher! Especially if you love science. But this class is definitely not an easy one. She didn't take role, so it was easy to skip class but I wouldn't recommend it. But she made class fun and I would really recommend her if you're going into a science major.

She was a very helpful lady and like previous posts she is very into biology. She kind of hops around subjects but her tests are not that difficult, she puts some really easy questions and will give you a make-up if need be. Very difficult class and gives very hard exams. Be prepared to study EVERYTHING if you take her. It is obvious she loves science and wants all of her students to succeed. All you have to do is ask, and she will help you.Print off slides, but she tends to skip around and add a lot of extra notes.

This class (Bio I) moved very very, very slowly with lots and lots of review...until the final week of class, which was a mad dash to slam in the month's worth of material we were behind on...

Really passionate about biology and teaching. Majority of semester was paced pretty slow, then slammed with material last couple of lectures. Pay very close attention in class. Only two exams, quizzes, and final used in grading, as well as lab grade. Great person, okay teacher.

This is not intro. youre expected to read outside of class. very knowledgeable; offers help to any student and will make time for you no matter what! She is a very passionate teacher and cares about her students success. Weekly online quizzes for the most part and the tests are challenging. Must do a lot of reading of the book and slides to truly understand the concept. Great teacher and challenges students to learn.

Prof. Pfeilsticker is a very challenging professor. I would not recommend her class if you're looking for an easy A. But if you enjoy biology and are willing to put the time into the class, you will love her! She has such enthusiasm for the subject and I walked away with soo much knowledge. Her exams are mc/essay. very fair grader.

Prof Pfeilsticker is a great professor. She does take longer than some professors to go over the material, but she does go more in depth with said material. Her tests are not too difficult, but she does word problems oddly sometimes. She is always happy to help if you ask for it, but YOU HAVE TO ASK.

Great lab professor! She's easy to understand, there if you have any questions about the lab. I have to warn about her lab reports. She is very specific on the way she wants it written!

I love Professor Pfielsticker! The only thing I can really say about this Micro class is she really does NOT use the text book or a Webkey. Don't waist your money on the text book. By a used copy. Hope this helps someone out. Great teacher and she is always helpful.

She is a good professor but she does so many long lectures and takes like 10 or more minutes on a single slide. Her tests are hard. I passed by pure luck but if I were you I wouldn't risk it. You will pass if you are really motivated and study hard, Good luck

I don't really understand any of the bad reviews, because I'm passing this class with over 100%, after being out of school with a GED for 7 years. She is very lecture heavy, but she writes down all the notes you need to know as she lectures. As long as you just STUDY what she rights down, you will pass. Very detailed, very passionate.

Wonderful lectures

This course is very heavy in material and requires a lot of studying, if you don't study don't expect an A. Read the textbook, watch videos, and use output learning ( write her lecture notes over and over again, or do mastering microbiology tests) also study her quizes. Tests are worth 70% so prepare for them.

Very straight forward professor , you need to pay attention or you will not pass but her class will definitely get you ready for what comes after in a big university or other classes, just pay attention and go over notes right after each class.

Best biology prof ever! Truly inspirational and definitely knowledgeable. Very reasonable and not too demanding.
