LOVE HER... she's the best y'all.... her Texas accent is tops and she's an all round great prof. TAKE HER SECTION AT ALL COSTS!!!
Very Good teacher! Easy to get a n A
Best Prof at Ryerson...easy to get an A+
She is such a nice teacher and a fairly easy marker as well.
Great prof! Super nice and social in lectures likes/try to get the class participate. Gives a complete outline for midterm/final topics but it's best to get the study guide. ;D Group asn is done throughout the semester so no-last min cramming. Will give bonus points for attendance and midterm/final.
She keeps classes short. Tutorials are also not mandatory. Super friendly. Asks for everyone's name. Extremely helpful. Don't hesitate to take her class!
One of the best teachers at Ryerson!Very easy to get an A!
She's a great prof and smokinnn hot
Top quality prof! Very nice and understanding of situations that may come up. Not a tough marker either & treats all students well. Keep up with your readings, do not wait until last minute to work on assignments or study & you WILL get an A, its that easy! Would take any class she teaches, DEFINITELY! A++
super duper best at ryerson, keeps it interesting and doesn't go on and on about stuff forever...really like this prof, totally knows what she is doing. happy and friendly to students
she is the best proff, keeps class real interesting and is really nice. its pretty easy to end up with a good mark in this course...if you are taking mkt200 make sure u get her!
Very friendly and easy-going professor. Mid-term and final were very fair. I also like how the group work is divided into five smaller assignments rather than one or two large ones. She genuinely wants everyone to do well and not give the class a hard time.
Good course and the best Prof. She is so friendly and approachable. She genuinely cares about students and understands us. She will go out of her way to help us if we are also willing to help ourselves. Midterm and exam are easy and she does review sheets to help us. Her exam and midterm review is KEY. Follow it and you will be fine.
Saber is an outstanding professor. If you come to classes and do your work you should be fine. She has knowledge when it comes to marketing, and what works in the real world. I took MKT 100 with a different professor and got really disappointed with MKT, however, she made me like MKT once again. Make sure you take the class with her!
AMAZING PROF!!She's so nice and helpful. Her tests are fair and she's willing to scale grades every chance she has. Assignments are long, but really enjoyable. Take this class with Jane!!!
I LOVE THIS WOMAN!!! TAKE HER OR ELSE YOU'LL REGRET IT!! =D=D=D
really really nice prof. bends over backwards to help students. makes you feel like you can add to the class. great examples. fun and interesting class. the best class i have had at ryerson!!!! and grades are ok
Probably one of the best professors in Ryerson. She cares for her students and really wants them to do well in her class. Class was always interesting and she is more than fair. Highly recommend.
amazing prof! really easy exam and midterm! my favourite professor at ryerson
Fantastic professor, even though marketing is now numbers. Fast return emails. great person. very friendly. very helpful. take her class and avoid the other mkt 300 class or you will be sorry, trust me!!!!!!!!
Truly amazing professor, more than words can say! She cares deeply about her students and her lectures were always fun and interesting. One of the few profs who makes me feel glad that I'm at Ryerson. If you can take her class definitely don't let the opportunity pass by.
I was very excited to attend Jane's class based on the reviews I read below. She is indeed charismatic. I however found my marks were at a staggering low compared to what I'm used to at the university level for her midterms. I didn't get an A, let alone a B and I'm a good student. Several other students experienced this problem.
The best prof at Ryerson!
Best teacher at ryerson so far, her teaching was easy and understandable and gave good advice and tricks to remember key terms in the class. Was a pleasure to have her as a student.
I've had her for MKT200 too back in the day. She's a very outgoing and friendly teacher. MKT300 was quite hard -the group assignments were hard. We received little help and the TA Lynn is a really hard marker. Jane's tests are very do-able. Rmb to study and review a few times. Don't just go over test material once the night before for any class.
very helpful teacher, probably the best prof i've ever had at ryerson. would be great if i could be in another one of her MKT class in the future. the only bad thing was that the final exam i had was written by another prof. so study hard for the final if you know she's not writing it.
AMAZING PROF! One of the best profs at ryerson! She cares sooo much about her students and goes above and beyond to help out. The midterms and assignment are easy as long as you study but the exam is tricky however she bell curves :) DEF RECOMMEND HER!!!
Amazing Professor. Will give you free marks for helping out with her projects. She bell curves. She tells you what is on the exam. Its up to you to remember and go over them.
Definitely take this class with her! She is extremely helpful, makes concepts crystal clear and makes class an enjoyable experience. Can;t say enough great things about this prof. Tests and assignments are fair...just follow what she says.
course is badly structured. she is nice but the course is totally confusing and doesn't make sense at all if you are not a marketing major.
Easy class if you attend the lecture and listen. She's helpful when she actually answers the question asked. Highly reccomended
She's a great prof. Everything you need for this class is in the PPT. She cracks jokes, and makes the class fun
One of the best professors I have had in university so far. Fair/easy tests, energetic lecturer (even for 8 AM), replies in detail to all emails/questions and actually cares about her students. She is a wonderful person and deserves recognition. I definitely recommend taking class with her, you will learn a lot and love what you do. Amazing.
Nothing but great things to say. She's extremely kind and would do anything to help her students. She explains things in a way that will help you on exams. Easy exams with free marks given. She's entertaining and a great professor on all counts!
Great Professor. Her exams are tough but he prepares her students well. Go to the class and you will do great.
Best prof ever! She makes class interesting and all info clear! If you attend all classes it is easy to get a good mark at midterm and exam. She goes over material several times. SHe is excellent!
Puts on a sweet, kind and pleasant front but is an unnecessarily harsh marker. Grades plummeted after her final exam and final project. Would not recommend this professor. Course was not a valuable learning experience at all.
Nice but hard grader. Her exams hard for no reason, materials in the book are easy she makes it really complicated. Her's Midterm- 120 M/C Questions with 13 S/A questions, other class - different professor same semester, same materials 60 M/C questions including the 13 S/A questions.
this is the best proff to take for mkt 500, she makes class easy and tells you what to study and what to ignore, so the midterms was supper easy, 2 essay question (class average for those were like 100%) she tells what the questions could be, and the projects are supper easy, and exam was also good
I'm not sure who is posting 5/5 and 5/4 rate here. when it is definitely not true. For some reason it looks like the posts are in the same tone of voice... wired Anyhow she is an awesome person but she makes the course way harder than it should be.
She explained statistics in an easy to understand way and had a great personality. She's fun, exciting and understands that not everyone will be great at analyzing statistics right away so she explains it step by step so that you know how to do each part. Goes off on rants sometimes but it makes class less boring!
Great. Makes stats easy. Nice. Exams fair. If you dont do well you didnt go as she gives tons of in class hints
Jane tells you exactly what is on tests so there is no surprise to it, there are two group projects that are time consuming but are straight forward. Attending class is a must after the midterm as she goes over everything regarding SPSS. The final exam was brutal, it was not hard but very long, it consisted of 80 M/C and 22 short/long answers
makes you print an 800 page assignment for no reason
One of my favourite profs! She's EXTREMELY clear on what she expects both on the group project and tests (tells you what's on it/what to study). She makes the material super easy to understand even if you're not good with stats, and simplifies the course by only focusing on what we actually need to know. Sure to do well with this professor!
The reviews seem to be in a similar tone... really weird. Almost as if the same person is posting them. Anyways, she is really nice, sweet and funny but her exam is brutal. It was long and also hard. She told us there would be some fill in the blanks but it was some very big short answers. Also, printing 500 pages for an assignment is RIDICULOUS!!!
When you talk to her, she's seems very nice and easy going, but is a tough marker (she marks assignments & nit picks them). The last assignment is way too time consuming & is not needed because exam is heavily based on the same content (stats). She also makes things seem like they will be very difficult to comprehend but aren't (e.x correlations).
Great prof. Assignments could use a little more clarity so make sure you ask questions. Get ready to load your one card and kill a couple trees with the final assignment. Study hard, practice, and find a good group and you'll be able to pull off a B+ pretty easily if not an A
Dr. Saber is very nice and funny, but she fails to teach what you need to know. Extends deadlines because she wants the best quality work, but fails to give clear outlines on projects. Midterm was fair, but the final exam was challenging and there was insufficient time to complete it. The final SPSS project was absolutely unrealistic.
Stats sucks but she makes it ok. Nice person , good prof -but I hate spss and stats. What can u do - need the course -
Her lectures are usually only 1.5-2 hours long. That being said her tests are very long and textheavy for what she says in class. She's very inconsistent and disorganized, and will often downplay how important some concepts are in class. Read the textbook and focus on her slides. The group project is 3-8 people, report and video presentation
AVOID this prof, made the class do 40 pages single spaced reports... not exaggerating.
Pretty good- tells real life info - but do NOT miss exams as all makeups stupidly long essays. Friendly, nice
Jane is the best! Super easy course, she makes it fun.
Lectures are usually not the full 3 hours. The midterm and final are only about the textbook - not about anything she teaches in class (so going to class the second half of semester is not useful). However, she is really specific with her projects which she explains in her lectures. Huge group project at the end so pick good groupmates...
Fantastic teacher. If you like to actually listen in class, she likes to engage students by connecting with them and brining them into lecture material by asking them targeted questions based on your own skills. Top 10 profs in Ryerson for sure.
Group project (15%) which she helps walk you through the steps and edit your responses if you need during class, test #1 -5%, test #2 -50%. The final is given 2 weeks before finals week. This prof is overall very good, nice and funny and her lectures aren't boring. She goes off her slides and no txtbk. tells you in class abt important exam material
can be irritating as she seems lost. overall easy prof but not good. id take her again just becuase her class was very easy but not well taught.
Probably the worst prof in the school of marketing. Be cautious of the exam, as she will tell you one thing and test you on another. She will even change the format of the exam so if you are expecting mc think again, if she calls it "fill in the blank" it means short answer with countless variables.... Good luck! Nice person though, just bad prof
She's nice. But not a good prof. Didn't learn a thing. Lectures are always less than 2 hours. She doesn't give enough time for the midterm (100 MC, 1.5 Hrs) and exam (125 Q, majority short hand, some MC, 2.5 Hrs). I barely finished both and had to rush the last few questions. She's a hard marker. Wish she gave us more time. Group project was easy.
Thanks a lot, Jane Saber! Im in the other MKT504 section, and because of your decision during this pandemic, you just increased my workload. 1 page summer of EVERY chapter? Really? Id rather just do the test for 2 hours online and move on with my life. I was doing well. I dont need the extra work. Why did you section have to affect mine?
A caring prof who goes out of her way to make you feel welcomed. You can skip the lectures and learn from the textbook. If you prefer to learn from lectures, would not suggest taking her class. Overall, not very hard.
80Mc with5 choices in 90mins, just too hard to finish it. Everything in the lecture and ppt was so easy and simple and useless. In the test are completely different questions(could be from the textbook).
She honestly gives so much unnecessary work. Not enough time for the test. Assignment is also a lot of work (summary of every chapter). There is a take home exam that is wayyyyyy tooo long.
She is very nice and will curve grades on tests if people do bad but her group project is so enormous and terrible. Especially difficult to do online. would not recommend this class. the tests are long and way more difficult for what they are because basically everything we learn is common sense.
Shes so lost all the time. Literally gives extra work and makes things harder for no reason. Gave a final exam 3 weeks before class ended because "i need to make the papers." Talks about professional email etiquette and literally gives the most unprofessional and sarcastic replies. AVOID
This is a horrible class to take online!! The first half of the semester was okay but the last test and final group project are unnecessary long and challenging to do within her deadlines. Her final test was switched to a 20+ page long paper last minute and the group project is very hard to do online with others. Spare yourself the stress!!
Jane is very nice and is really quick to answer emails if you have any questions. HOWEVER, her assignments and methods for testing students are awful. A 25-page book report for a sales course and a 30-page take-home essay just on the theories behind selling??? AVOID unless you like wasting your time.
What a joke Jane is. Tests were a joke, and useless group project. Cant boost a 79 to an A-. Avoid Jane at all costs I dont know why I took her again, waste of time prof.
shes good - class must have changed from last time
The written final long but u get a good grade if u do it. recommend
Vast majority of questions are based off of textbook material, not lecture material. As long as you have textbook notes, you're golden.
Very caring and sweet prof, however the content of the course seemed very easy and not at all challenging. Feels like another repeat of every other marketing course at Ryerson. Some of her lectures were online, but I couldn't focus on what she was saying because she had this really distracting and overpowering music playing in the background :/
Best professor at Ryerson. Such a sweet heart and cares so much for her students. Everything is always clear and she is very understanding and flexible. If you have the chance, take her class.
The best professor I've had at TMU, I am an exchange student. She made me feel welcome and appreciated. She is super nice and gives great interactive lectures. Also provides Study guide that contain exam material.
Dr J is an amazing professor who has engaging and actually fun lectures! The tests were not bad at all (2 tests) and the one project was super useful in the real world - a resume and mock interview. She really cares about her students and is willing to help out wherever possible.
Two m/c exams - an individual assign which was pretty easy. Fun lectures - liked her - one of my favs. u can get a good grade and not be bored out of ur mind. recommend
Took MKT504 with Jane this semester & I really enjoyed her class! I would say lectures aren't mandatory as she uploads slides & recorded lecture material (which is based off the textbook), however I still attended all the classes as I really enjoyed her teaching! :) She grades fairly easy on assignments too & will boost marks for the midterm + exam
great professor overall. fair marker, very flexible in terms of handing in assignments and genuinely cares about her students. her slides are from the textbook. exam was pretty fair. to do well just get in a good group for presentations, and read the slides
she was super nice.
An AMAZING professor! The assignment and exams were super fair and you can tell that she really cares about her students. Plus, she does an excellent job of explaining concepts during her lectures. Just make sure you use the textbook too, because her lecture slides don't always give you all the details you need.
Professor Jane Saber is THE prof for MKT600. Other profs that taught this course were rated very low so I tested my luck and waited to take the class during the spring/summer. I got lucky with Jane. She explains the cases very well and she simplifies everything.
An amazing professor! She is hilarious and always knows how to keep her lectures lively. The powerpoints she uses are super easy to understand and read. Her exams are also easy and there isnt a ton of content to study. The group project was also fun, she lets you pick your teams! Overall an amazing prof.
Dr Saber is very understanding and tries to help her students whenever she can.
Jane Saber is fantastic, engaging and hilarious. She has great relatable analogies that help students understand complex marketing theories and definitions. She's the best!
Professor Saber is an excellent instructor who goes beyond the slides, offering valuable real-world advice for the workplace. Her classes are engaging and she's hilarious. If you're considering a career in sales, you can learn a great deal from this course.
I provided an obituary during a bereavement, which TMU policy accepts, but she required a death certificate and denied a standard deferred exam. This was days after a sudden death of a parent, when certificates are not typically available Navigating unnecessary demands during active griet made the situation significantly harder than it needed to be

She is so sweet. If you did bad in the class, it's on you. It's not very hard, good luck in the workspace if you're struggling here. She truly cares for her students and is so understanding, would take her again easy work.
Jane Saber is a great prof that shows great enthusiasm on marketing & sales. Final exam weighed heavily which I found a bit odd for a marketing class
Dr. Saber was amazing and her lectures were engaging. I loved her energy, yet some midterms and exams questions were pulled straight from real life events that happened to her so you gotta write it down. The final exam weight heavily and was a bit hard but manageable so get ready to read. Overall caring prof.
