She's a good teacher. Test are easy and only gives a few easy assignments. Make sure not to talk in class!

Professor made psych41 fun and entertaining experience thanks to her unusual approach. Reads off slides but explains using experiences as therapist and mother. You will enjoy working in groups to complete assignments which will ease reading! You need: notes+textbook. Prof is very beautiful,stylish, lively and have great personality!

Carney is a wonderful professor. Uses easy-to-understand powerpoints (that you can download yourself to re-study) while using her life experiences to help us understand what she's talking about. She's really funny, pretty, and always well-dressed. Interesting teacher who uses very effective teaching methods. Take lots of notes & you'll do great!

Oh my gosh! The most interesting professor I've had so far. She dresses nice, has a new bag everyday. I love her! I want to be just like her when I'm older. I'm taking her child dev. Class. :) study, take notes, and do your essays. Don't talk in her class without raising your hand. And don't text either, she would just stare at me wheni would text.

Very fun class, mostly lectures. attend regularly and take notes and you should do fine. class is not hard but also not easy just put in some effort and you will be fine. really enjoyed this class and carney is such a laugh.

This is the best class I've had at valley so far. She's only given us 2 writing assignments, and were working on our group project which is due in a month. 3 assignment in total, and once a month we have a test/quiz. She is super funny, and isn't like other professors where they lecture and get pissed off if you ask questions that they're not expecting -_- her tests are super easy. You don't even NEED the book,I kid you not. Just take good notes in lectures. You'll enjoy her class, I promise

Possibly the easiest class I've ever attended. She teaches so clearly that even a monkey would understand the lesson. I have absolutely no complaints. She's sweet, lenient & a pretty damn good professor. She also has a strange fascination with the color pink.

Don't be late, don't miss a lecture, don't text, and don't talk w/o raising your hand. She's the funniest Psych professor I have taken at Valley. Really fun and u have lots of opportunities to pass the class. One research paper is due along with 2 tests (midterm and final). She answers every question u have and she is HILARIOUS. Take her.

Prof Carney is a riot! She relates really well with the students and with this being an intro class w/a lot of concepts to digest, she pares the info down perfectly in bite size chunks. This class is a lot of fun, 2 papers, 2 quizzes, group project, midterm & final. One word of advice, bring a joke if you're late! Dont think twice, take Prof Carney

Being in her class made me realize that there are still great teachers out there! She's beyond amazing, sweet, funny, and makes psychology extremely entertaining. You know a teacher is great when you look forward to going to class every week. If you're committed to her class, you'll have no problem getting a good grade. You'll be lucky to attend!

Amazing teacher! I took her for Psych 1 and got a B but the experience was worth it. I took Psych 11 just to prove to myself I deserved an A and got just that! GET THE BOOK,though its based off in class discussion and her slides.U dont have 2 buy study guide,i did.She is amazing & FUN but she is an oraganized mess.Pay attention to the syllabus and you'll do fine.Do not rely on her.STUDY!Her tests are hard,they are applied based,nothing general about class.The Final was ALL semester material taught

Professor Carney-Clark was one of my favorite teachers! Her test questions are a bit tricky, but if you study you will do just fine! I did 2 papers in this class very, very easy and a group project which I thought was fun and helpful for the midterm.

Professor Carney is my jam! This lady is wacky as they come but let me tell you, she knows her stuff and she lectures well. She is upbeat and eager to hear your thoughts. If you pay attention and study, you'll get an A no problem! I have taken her 3 times and I'll taker her again if she teaches a class that I need.

Professor Carney is a great teacher, very understandable. She gives life related examples that help you understand the class material better. You need to work hard, study, and do all the assignments to get an A. Overall, you learn a lot from this course and the teacher makes class fun.

If you can deal with a structured/disciplined environment, she is the professor for you. Otherwise very personable, enthusiastic and helpful. The class consist of lecture from powerpoint slides & many videos. In-class verbal interaction is a must. Read the book & review the powerpoint slides for adequate test prep. 2 test & a class project.

Professor Caney-Clark was an interesting and energetic teacher! I really loved the discussions we would have because we could all relate. Be prepare to read the text & review over her PowerPoints! There was one midterm, final, group project, and individual effort reflection! Take my word for it take her & work hard to receive the grade you want!

This class is a side show! Learning mixed with entertainment. Pay attention - The tests are difficult and only 2. A midterm and final. Do well on both because there aren't that many chances in improving your grade. The group project is unbelievable. With 7-8 group members, drama, chaos, and confusion is inevitable. Attendance is taken.

There were only a couple of quizzes, a couple of tests, and a large group project that spanned almost the entire class.

I loved her general psychology class and I going to take her child psychology class next semester.

All test questions are off the slides. She is a little unorganized but but if you put in a little effort you'll pass.

Love this professor!! Her lectures are hilarious and are never boring! She is always clear and wants you to succeed in her class. Tests are tough but if you do your work, you won't have a problem. I will definitely take this professor again!

Favorite Professor ever!!! I loved her! She was beyond amazing. Great sense of humor! She'll have you laughing! Her lectures were amazing! She definitely knows how to teach this subject. There's two quizzes, a midterm and a final. There is also group projects. I recommend you guys to definitely take her! Trust me you won't regret it!

I fairly like this professor. My only problem with her is that there is absolutely no way of knowing what mistakes you made on your test. When you get the results you only see numbers and letters. But what's the point of learning if you can't learn on your own mistakes? You're gonna repeat them over and over again, cuz you don't know what's wrong!

Just a fun class. The group project was actually bearable, and the test were more easy than they were hard.

Overall, happy to have decided to take this course. Clear grading criteria w/ insightful analysis homework. Tests are understandable if you know the lecture content. Social psychology is "common sense". Lectures include a range of TedTalks and informational videos. Textbook is useful and necessary. Easy transition from Psych 1 prior in Fall 17'.

Professor Carney tells lots of stories to try to make all the material given a bit more interesting. Staying on top of her slides that she provides is MANDATORY, as these will help you pass the tests. Be wary that some questions were not found in the material given. She assigns articles for homework which are points you can't waste.

I took Professor Carney-Clark in the fall of 2019. She was strict on her assignments, yes. There are no remakes or late work accepted, and she is very strict on talking in class -- RAISE YOUR HAND! Be respectful and you will be respected in return. Very professional, very clear with assignments, and willing to help you if you need it.

I took her class this Fall 2020. To pass her class, you need to watch her LECTURES and TAKE NOTES. I didn't really need to buy the book. Her quizzes and exams are not available on quizlet so u better watch the lecture videos.
