Ms. Frewing is a gem of a teacher. She is well liked and has a warm and caring personality. She always answers your questions and really cares about her students success. If you work hard in her class, she will do all she can to help you succeed.

she is awesome. she explains the problem very clear and makes sure we all understood the problems.

She is a very good teacher. She makes sure that her students undersand everything. She is always willing to help. Some of the work is extremely easy and the quizes too.

very earsy going online class. If you have a hard time with math then take her online class because its better when you take the tests because you have the formulas in front of you. This teacher has clear and easy class requirements outlined for the class. You get two chances to take each QUIZ. If you are a wiz at math this will be a breeze for you.

Janet Frewing [for Math52] is an amazing teacher. She explains sections in full clarity and works with you until you genuinely understand. She is willing to help during class, in her office, or via email. I definately recommend her over any math teacher!

She's awesome! She helps anyone & everyone who has a question. She makes sure to go over the material again just before the quiz/test. There is a daily quiz, or group activity/quiz, which is an easy A. It's nice because she's like the rest of us and sometimes makes mistakes, but owns up to them, which makes the students feel not so intimidated. =)

EASY EASY EASY. This class is all homework and as long as you do your homework and study the study guides you will do fine. She is and excellent teacher but doesnt allow talking. Not a chill class, very learning based. BUt again, it is super easy and i'm passing with flying colors. Webgrade is a big help.

Ms. Frewing was very informative and clear. The summer class was fast paced. There are quite a few quizzes and chapter tests, but if you are working out and keeping up with the problems in the book than you'll do great! I definitely would take her again!

The workbook for the online class makes math very easy to learn. Unlike most online classes, Ms. Frewing answers emails and questions quickly. All assignments you can retake unlimited times and quizzes you can retake up to 3 times to improve your grade. I love this class so much that I will use her for Math 52 as well in the Spring.

I NEVER understood Algebra, I don't even know how I passed it in H.S. 18 years ago! It wasn't until I took Mrs. Frewing's class that it all made sense! I did the work and went to class and was able to get an A!!! If you're intimidated by math-you've GOTTA take Mrs. Frewing's class!!!

I have taken her twice now, for diff math classes. I plan on taking her again. She is great. As long as you do the homework (the focus in the book, that she posts online), go to class (she does daily activities worth 12points), and ask questions when unsure you will pass with at least a B.

Great teacher, lets you pass in hw up to a week late for full credit. hw usually available online so no need for book (atleast when i had her). she's very helpful and explains the lecture very clear.

Just have to say one of the BEST math teachers i've ever had. and that's saying A lot. She is very clear step by step how to do problems. Tests are short and easy. I probably got 100 percents on a few. Study, do the homework, ask questions and I guarantee you'll pass!

I've taken this type of course twice at another JC and couldn't do it and was worried that taking it online would be harder but, she did a great job at presenting the material. If you fail this class it just means you did not attend or do any of the homework. She is super helpful, if one person needs help she will stop until you understand. I would highly recommend her. I am a little upset she is not teaching my next class next semester. :(

She is an awesome teacher, prior to taking her I hated math. But She breaks down the sections,fewer chaps per test but still keeps on track, she was always on time and never absent. Do the hw and show up for points, the tests are easy,even let me finish the final after clarifying some stuff. DEFINETELY RECOMMEND HER, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HATE MATH!!

If you miss a couple classes then its fine, Just E-mail her! shes lets you made make up homework (online) and gives you an extra week to turn in textbook work!! Easy A!! She gives great lectures, is lenient with her students, is easy to get ahold of, and even has pre-recorded class lectures. Just make sure you do ALL your hw and stay up to date with the sections. This teacher is amazing. She makes math so easy. TAKE HER! Make sure to go to class though. There are daily quizzes that rack up a lot of points. As long as you show up, you'll probably get an A. I got a C because I skipped class to much (learn from my mistake).

Homework after every class and tests every two weeks, she makes the requirements for an A very clear. Do the homework and pay attention and you should be able to pass. Very approachable and helpful. Would definitely take again.

Mrs. Frewing is AMAZING!! i have never had an A in a math class till i took her class. she has a great teaching method and also has videos on her website to help you incase you missed a day, but it is still better to be their in person . you miss a day, you will miss 2-3 sections so is best to attend class. will definitely take her class again!

Hands down one of the best math professors I've had. She thoroughly explains concepts, her labs are very helpful, and she isn't out to kill you on her exams. Her class gives the opportunity for every student to pass because she wants you to understand the concepts more than anything. She's a great guide for those going into MATH 1B.

Mrs. Frewing Rocks!! She definitely is there to help you. If you put effort in your work then it shall be easy. If you do not understand she will make you understand even if she has to go back and explain it over again. Tip: Make sure you do your homework that very same day or the day after so it doesn't accumulate over time with other classes. :)

I was a 6th grade school teacher for 15 years. Mrs. Frewing is a great teacher who explains all content in a way that you will get it and understand it. As long as you come to class and take notes it will be a very easy course to pass. Very fair on turning in homework with take-home quizzes. The final is a oral speech that you will give.

Prof. Frewing is amazing! Her tests are easy, unless you don't listen in class or slack off. After her lectures, be sure to do the homework right away so you can understand it. She always answers question during, and after class, and also gave a lot of extra credit. Not only did she make sense, she was also very encouraging, and understanding.

Many quizzes but for good reason, and they arent that hard, grades the homework but its not that bad, final worth 25% and she grades with partial credit. Offers extra credit on tests and quizzes, usually you can miss 5pts and still get 100%

I had Mrs. Frewing for Math 25 (Survey of Math) fall 2017 and her teaching is all around amazing. Easy class to pass with take-home quizzes and little amount of homework. She'll even take the time to go over the homework in class with you and answer any questions. I would definitely take the class again.

Frewing is amazing at breaking down Calculus so that a person with average math skills can understand. Quizzes every week, lots of homework, and labs. Attendance is IMPORTANT. She gives extra credit opportunities and drops the lowest quiz. I had tried to take Calculus before and failed because the professor was horrible. Frewing is a gem.

Why don't you teach upper level math. We need a professor like you teaching the harder math classes. She explains so well, her classes material is so easy to understand, she goes above and beyond helping her students and makes sure everyone understands the material. I took Professor Frewing for Calculus 1A and she is an excellent teacher. While there is a lot of homework and notes to take, she makes sure you understand the material before you leave. Do not miss a single day of class or you will definitely fall behind. DO NOT wait until last minute to start on hw bc I can guarantee you won't finish in time.

I am currently taking Prof. Frewing in Spring 2018 and all I have to say is that she is an amazing professor. She really cares about her students, takes the time to go over every little possible thing, lets you know well ahead of time when the tests are and there is always a group portion to the tests to help everyone out. Absolutley the BEST and most caring math teacher I've ever had! The class has zero judgement. No question is a dumb question. If you struggle in math, TAKE HER! I never had confidence in math, but thanks to her I now have it. She doesn't move on to the next lesson until you understand. Be sure to do the homework or you will fall behind.

She''s caring and understands if you miss a few classes as long as you turn in the HW. Theres no book but you do have to buy mathlab for like 40$. Wish I could take her for all my math classes! I have never been good at math. Professor Frewing made this class so easy for me. I actually understand math now. We would have tests on canvas, regular zoom lectures, and one midterm. The final was a video about how math is involved in your speech. I would recommend this professor for anyone who needs help with math. Math lab is kinda annoying...

Definitely the best math professor I've taken at Norco. Cares for her students' mental health and is very flexible! Her lectures are recorded and the notes for them are helpful. We did group work, and there was lots of homework, don't procrastinate, it catches up way too fast in this class, but she gives chances to make up work and turn in late.

Prof. Frewing is wonderful. I took her for MAT-1A online in fall. I definitely had to work for an A but Prof. Frewing is very helpful and understanding. She moved back the due date of several units and even gave us the week of thanksgiving to makeup up any missed work with no penalty. Her office hours are also very helpful so be sure to watch them!

Professor Frewing is my favorite professor I've had so far. She is very willing and understanding with her students. She goes above and beyond to help us succeed in the course. Office Hours was definitely beneficial because she would go over the labs and homework problems. She also made mock tests to prepare for the big unit test and final.

She's a great calculus teacher, but you have a put in a lot of work. There is homework, labs, discussions, quizzes, and 3 exams. I wish she taught Calculus 2, and 3, but for some reason she only teaches Calculus 1.

She is great about explaining topics and really cares about her students. Her office hours were always very helpful and she doesn't hesitate to walk you through things step by step if needed. Even though my class was online with asynchronous lectures, I felt very connected to her as she was always there if I needed help.

I think she's a great professor. She will make sure you understand the material, and love her teaching style. Gives extra credit, very helpful with hw, lenient with late work, and will answer every question you have (in person). The only thing I will say is that she doesn't respond to emails as often as I would like. Aside from that she's great!

If you watch her lectures there is little chance you will have trouble with the topic. They are very long and take up 2 hours on average, but it is reasonable considering the comprehension I got from them. A very nice teacher when I met her in person for classes as well. Wants you to do your best and succeed.

She dumbs it down for you so much that the material is so easy to understand. Ask any questions at all and she will take the time for you to comprehend it. Honestly if you fail this class it's on you for not paying attention or doing the work because it could not have been more simple.

She explains the concepts that are being covered for that week extremely well in class. The only problem is outside-of-class accessibility. A lot of emails that I sent didn't get responded to until 3-4 days later, or sometimes not at all. Due to this, it becomes hard to figure some things out. Aside from that, she's a great professor.

Wish I could have the time in my schedule to take her for the entire calc series! She definitely makes you put in the work, but it is a reasonable amount of work. Currently she does a summary lecture in class w follow along notes, lab worksheets, and x-cred class work. Her canvas is well structed and organized as well.

Pretty good at teaching math, I managed to understand the material well because she made it simple. The work can be excessive, there were assignments online and on paper, sometimes like 5 a week. But they are doable if you dedicate a few hours of your day. She will also gladly help out in lecture or in office hours and cares about her students.

If you need to take MAT1A I would not hesitate to take Professor Frewing; she's a rlly great lecturer and is one of the kindest professors I've had so far. She cares abt her students and offers lots of extra credit and make-up opportunities. There are also a lot of group assignments which makes class a lot less boring

Professor Frewing is an amazing professor who really cares about her students. She has amazing video lectures that really go into depth about a specific topic. Get ready to practice a lot but she is the absolute best teacher you could take for MAT-1A. I only wish she taught MAT-1B.

Hands down best teacher/teaching style. Her teaching is molded to the class and the classes understanding of the material. Her lectures break it down so everyone can understand and she doesn't skip details. Prepare yourself by reviewing algebra as much as possible before the semester. This whole class is 90% algebra with 10% calculus.

An absolutely amazing professor. I can guarantee you will not find a better calculus professor. I would rate my math ability a 2/5 and I missed 75% of the classes due to illness and I still got an A+. Tons of extra credit. Multiple learning formats. I do feel like I learned a ton. This professor is ahead of her time.

While the workload can be heavy, using study aids like Unstuckstudy alongside the textbook and her video lessons can really help. Definitely worth taking this class.

I loved this professor! Professor Frewing made Calculus for Business and Life Science super easy! She is always there to help her students with any questions they may have. There are in class assignments every week but she guides you through every step if needed. For students who hate math: this class is for you! Very helpful course.

Frewing = An amazing instructor, especially if you appreciate a structured and detailed teaching style. Her online lectures and homework were a lifesaver for me, as they perfectly matched my learning style. She's a very sweet and approachable professor, and I 100% recommend her to anyone taking calculus. You'll learn a lot if you put in the effort!

This is a great professor for those who are getting an introduction to Calulus. Just be prepared to do a lot of studying as she is quite fast paced and gives at least one quiz per week to keep you on track.

Overall, the class was not difficult as she took the approach of "if you don't pay attention it will show in calc II." Make sure that you have a solid understanding of algebra and trig as that will benefit you in the long run. Plenty of extra credit and very helpful throughout class if a topic was difficult to understand.

She was my first math class after two gap years, I've never felt more confident and comfortable in math since. She made sure we had brushed up on our trig and algebra before moving to calculus and takes her time explaining every small thing. 10/10 recommend, one of the best math professors at Norco.

Amazing professor, calculus is a hard subject and you need someone who can teach it to you the right way, which she does. She will solve and explain any problem students don't understand, and she won't get tired. You can tell she cares deeply about every single one of her students. TAKE CALC WITH HER

I've always struggled with math, but Professor Frewing made it easier to understand. She explains things clearly, is very supportive, and always available to help. She truly cares about her students and creates a positive, encouraging environment. If math is tough for you, take her class, you won't regret it!

I would have gotten a better grade if I didn't slack. There are no explicit due dates for assignments, which might cause you to procrastinate, try your best not too; all the heavy work load will stack by the end. Overall, she's awesome, but do not take her if you can't keep up with homework.

Professor Frewing did an incredible job. She breaks down everything and goes over the problems at a slow pace so everyone can understand. She is also very understanding and allows retakes for assignments. She also gives out lots of extra cred. If you stay on top of homework this class is an easy A.

There is a lot of homework, which took me some time to do, but this is still a great class. Professor Frewing explains the topics very clearly and is always willing to help when you're struggling. She also offers plenty of extra credit, so you can recover your grade if needed. There are a lot of quizzes, but they're easy and usually in groups.

A great teach and gave lots of extra credit. Lots of quizzes but most of them done in groups. About the amount of studying you would expect but the homework was fairly easy. Good to attend class to make life easier on yourself.

Someone who came in everyday excited to teach. Content was easily digestible and she went over topics/questions multiple times. She wanted us to succeeded probably one of the best teacher experiences ever.
