this teacher is awesome. Her class takes effort but she does everything she can to help prepare youy for the test.

she is the worst, you study so hard for the test, take great notes, attend class everyday, take the test... and still fail
definately not hot. this prof sucked....yeah. tests are vary vague.

I gradually started to actually enjoy her lectures. Her test aren't simple, but if you study you'll get an A. She met with me anytime I wanted for help. I definitely recommend taking any of her classes
This is not a hard class, it just takes some effort. She gives you a list of terms and then goes over them in class. All you need to do to get an A is know the material and read the book. I got an easy A from this class!

OK, this lady will bore you to DEATH. I went to class everyday and listed to her boring lectures, studied and thought I was goging to get an A and ended up with a C.
I really enjoyed her lectures. She seems very nice. The tests are kind of hard, but the quizzes are real easy. She gives you topics, so you can stay on track during class.
boring, long, and hard, deff on power trip, embarassses students if they talk or are sleeping, or not paying attention. Have to be early or u'll miss quizzes, hard tests, and not helpful at all.
You take VERY detailed notes and STUDY them and you'll get a good grade but she is not a nice lady AT ALL. She is on a power trip and treats you like you're in elem school which is RIDICULOUS since we pay to be there. Don't be late or try to leave early.
She's been teaching the same subject 4 so long that she just sits down and reads 20yr. old notes as her leacture. She literally stands in the same spot for an hour and 15 minutes and reads out her old notes! Memorize all ur ****ing notes b/t tests to pass

This is the second class I have taken with this professor. The first being AMH 2010. I can only say I have extremely enjoyed her class, and she is one of the most helpful professors I've ever had. Once again just take notes from class based on the vocab terms on blackboad, and expect a good grade.
she lectures one one thing and tests on a totally digfferent topic never heard of in the lecture.
Ms. Hall gave great notes. I hate history and I have an A+ and am very interested in the course. If you want an easy A and want to learn take this class!!!!
Go to class, take notes from the outline on blackboard, pay attention and go to the movies you can do decent in the class. The hard part is paying attention. It is very boring and she is not understanding if you have family troubles and miss a quiz(with prior notice willing to take the quiz before)
All I have to say is you better study your ass off and go to every single class.
Her class is very easy! If you read the book, and review the notes she gives in class, you will get an easy A.
this teacher is BAD BAD BAD, avoid her , trust me
This class requ. A lot of reading and her lectures are so boring you will fall asleep! Test are not hard if you go to class and keep up on reading. I would try a different teacher if possible if you can't then it is not that bad=>
This teacher was pretty easy all you have to do is do the study guides and the reading. Also make sure you do the readings out of the smaller book the quiz grades are helpful! overall a pretty easy teacher.
shes easy if you go to class, study a little bit from the text. she gives you everything, just fill in the blank and study for 5 mins to get a B+. nice, and fair, she did a big faver for me when i slept through an exam. if your problem is staying awake, change teacher.
The class was pretty easy. All you have to do is print out the study guides and put them to use and you're set. She may scare you and say that most kids fail her class, but that's only scare you into studying. It's really pretty easy. By the way, she talks like a duck.
She's a good teacher. The class is boring, but you can't expect history to be interesting. Just go to class and take laecture notes, and you'll never have to read the book.
As long as you do the reading for all the quizzes and take notes in class...I mean EVERY class, then you'll be fine. I found her lectures a bit hard to follow because she goes off subject a lot and is quite boring...As long as you show up and do your part and focus, you'll be ok
AMH isn't the easiest to remember. Study, study, study. She helped me several times and gives extra credit that is sometimes easier than parts of the test.
Going to class & taking notes is a must. The class is not impossible, but you must apply yourself & stay focused, on top of things, & most importantly: study. Don't expect to do well unless you study. The material is fair but once again, do the readings & unless you're a history-buff, you'll pull a B like I did & be fine.
Not to bad of a teacher. It is not an easy A but as long as you keep up on the readings and go to the majority of the classes your cant do worse then a "B" The class is really not that bad...im sure there are easier teachers out there but this one is not too bad.
this class was great. Easy to pay attention because she makes it interesting. Test are easy as long as you go to class all test are on lecture and note reading. Shes good teacher and will work with you.
Pretty easy quizzes, and tests are alright. but isnt very merciful, doesnt drop any exams and is also hard to follow, she goes off on subjects. Boring!!
I dont know what else these folks are looking for in a teacher but ms. hall puts the key terms on the board at the beginning of each class and lectures right along with the order of the terms. the next lecture picks up exactly where the last one left off..clear & precise. she's easy to talk to, not pretentious at all, and an all-around sweet lady
Very straight forward teaching style. No class participation, just simple lecture. Graded only on scheduled tests and quizzes. You wont know your grade until the very end (doesnt use blackboard). Relatively easy, I reccomend.
well..her class is easy..she gives you the terms before a lecture so you can follow along..however she is unbelievably boring..and talks for the entire class period. if you read the chapters and take good notes, you should be fine. but try to get alot of sleep before coming to the class!
She lectures the whole class in a monotone voice and is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. She is an exceptionally difficult grader, and almost 1/3 of her class fails every semester. There is a quiz every other class, and she is a **** about tardiness. Do not take this class no matter what!
The class is an easy grade as long as you attend all the lectures, make sure you do the study guides and definately read for the quizzes. She does drops one quiz and exam grade, so she's pretty easy. Her tests are multiple, choice, and a short essay. Just as long as you study or at least have a good memory, you'll pass for sure.
this is history, u r going to have to study no matter who u have. 4 tests, no curves, reading for quizzes essential-turns into test grade. lectures entire time suggest taping class bc u may zone out but missing class every once & a while is ok, just read the book, take good notes.DEF recommend her bc there r worse out there w/ much harder tests!
She is by far the best History teacher I have had. She knows her stuff and makes it interesting! Her study guides tell you everything you need to know for the exams...just DO the reading for the quizzes! She likes to see people who attend class!
She is hard but fair...she gives you study sheets that tell you everything you will have to know for the exams. She actually makes history easy to sit through! I definately recommend her!
This is a great class!! Lectures are always funny and interesting. Tests are only info from lectures. If you pay attention, write your notes, and read for quizzes which come every so many weeks you will easily have an A.
great class! finally an american history class that covers more than just WWII. make sure you read VERY IMPORTANT, quizzes are easy but the tests not so much, in class she goes over the material very fast so make sure to have the outline of each chapter.
Easy class...pretty interesting..attendence is not mandatory but is recommended since by the end of the 1st month, she knows most names since it is like a high school class size..Quizzes help the grade a lot, just read 17-20 pages for it...Tests are from her notes and reading - easy if you pay attention...recommend the class...
Quizzes and tests are tough if you don't study the lecture notes and readings. Gives excellent lectures. You'll wear out both textbooks by the end of the semester. Doesn't ever track attendance, but lecture notes are important for tests. You've gotta work hard but I enjoyed this class very much
This class is definitely not an easy A but you will learn a lot. The tests are only hard if you don't study for them but if you do they are a breeze. Going to class is very important and the notes are very useful when you study. Quizzes are very easy and the lowest grade is dropped. I think that I got an A+ from this class. I would definitely take
Boring teacher. talks only in monotone.. Test are difficult
Very good teacher, voice is super monotoned! easy to get bored and doze off. However she's real helpful, she gives you guidlines for the test so you dont need to buy the big book at all. Attendence is not mandatory. I highly recommend her, her lectures may be in monotone, but she tells history in a way that makes sense and easy to understand
She is very clear but very, very, (can't emphasize this enough) VERY dry. I love history and her lectures in particular because they are very interesting and I still wanted to close my eyes and pass out. She is very knowledgeable. She doesn't use blackboard because she doesn't want to get in trouble. Tests will be hard if you don't go to class.
All she does is lecture, very straightforward. The tests are MC + short answer + one short essay. Take notes on the topics she puts on the study guides and you'll be fine. The only point in having the chapter textbook is if you miss classes to catch up on notes, although there is a separate book you must have if you want to pass the quizes.
Took America History II with her. Really interesting material. Doesn't assign homework. If you do your reading, the class is a breeze. Loved it!
This class is very easy with her. If you print out the study guides and just take notes on them while attending class you will have all of the information you need to pass the tests. To pass quizzes you need a seperate book. There are few quizzes and only 3 tests, no final. I love history and her lectures were not too bad at all. I passed with an A
Cool teacher. If you don't like taking almost weekly quizzes, then don't take this class. Also if you don't like having to go to a class and take notes to get an A, then also don't take this class.
Mrs.Hall. She lectures from the moment her class time starts right down to the second it end. That's a lot of information....and she doesn't tell you what's important to know out of it. You will have roughly 6-7 chapters to know and each chapter will have about 20-30 topics to know. The test are impossible unless you have history backround. AWFUL
Dreaded this class everyday. I have never failed a class in my life, but I made a F in this class. Don't take her if you can help it.
Very helpful and straight forward teaching style. Dont miss class and take good notes and you will do fine. Like all history classes, study hard!
If you're willing to come into class and take notes, you'll be fine. If you don't come into class, you'll have to pour over the text book and work much harder. Very knowledgeable and consistent. Focuses on cultural and political aspects of U.S. History. Overall a great, easy class as long as you aren't LAZY!
A+ Possibly the easiest class I have ever taken! I passed with a 98% and cant remember studying more than an hour a week. She gives you an outline of what the tests are going to be on, which you can get easily from lecture or from your book, quizzes make up some of your grade but are fairly easy... If you have trouble w this class you have problems
If you are an auditory learner, definitely take her. She just stands up and talks the entire time with no slide show, but this style worked out really well for me, even though it was hard to stay awake.
She is a nice enough lady but unless you are a history person you might have a tough time. She really doesn't use the book. She lectures the entire hour 15, you never leave early. She's pretty bad about starting a sentence and not finishing it, she just stops mid-sentence and starts another one. Her quizzes are every week and usually only 2 ques
Extrememly easy! She posts the study guides for every test at the beg. of the semester, than lectures through them verbatum, if you miss something feel free to ask her (shes very nice) or look in the book? The joke was ?Man this lady?s hard, you have to actually show up to get an A.? ? You wont find an easier A in academia.
By far the best professor I have ever had at this university. Her class could not be simpler. Do not buy the lecture textbook, buy only the textbook for the quizzes. Tests come from her lecture (literally word for word), so come to class. The quizzes are a breeze too. The most difficult part about this class is showing up. Love her!:)
I love her! I am not a history person, but she made it easy to learn and interesting with all kinds of stories. If you go to class, then you will do well. She literally tests what she talks about take good notes and you're almost guaranteed an A. Her quizzes are really easy as long as you read the chapter out the quiz textbook. Take her class!
She would assign 14 documents (usually 2-3 pages each) to read and then quiz you with two questions from anywhere in that span. She is a difficult grader, as there is only 1 right answer and she tosses around 0's like its nobody's business. I dropped it because it was too unpredictable and I didn't want to end up with an F.
I am a person who hates history class but Professor Hall made it not so boring. I mean it was still history class but she is kinda funny sometimes and she makes the class easy. She gives study reviews to have and reference while she lectures. She is just a wonderful professor, the best history professor I´ve ever had. I highly recommend her.
Very dry personality, but very knowledgable. I recommend to read the book, i never did and still got an A-, only because of extra credit. I recorded the lectures to help me fill out her study guides, this was a big help. Read carefully for her quizzes. Her exams were NOT cumulative.
I loved taking her class! Although some of the material may be quite boring, I love history and she keeps the class interested. Her test are not too difficult if you actually attend class. Her quizzes come directly from the book. Get on her good side (by showing up to class and doing well) and she'll like you. I plan on taking her for A.H 2
If you are a visual learner, do not take her class. If you are auditory, GO FOR IT! she literally stands at the front of class and lectures the entire class period. If you're a quick writer and love history, you'll do great in here. But if you would do better learning from a powerpoint, take someone else. She's very nice though! Works wirh you.
Seriously, read the book for quizzes. She is a hard grader, so you seriously can not BS any of the answers. The lectures are long and boring, but if you take really good notes the tests won't be too terrible. It has three parts-multiple choice, short answer, and essay. She grades generously on the short answer and essay. Not horrible class overall.
If you do not like history going into her class this is not a class for you. She talks very slow and soft. She grades very hard and if you don't read for her quiz you will get a zero. Her exams are also ruff. some questions she asks are hard to figure out even studying using her guide.
This was a fairly easy class, attendance is not mandatory, but the quizzes are easy, if you read. She talks about nothing, so i recommend leaving after the quiz. The tests are passable, as long as you read and use the study website for the book. I would recommend this class.
AWFUL. wouldn't surprise me if she has been using the same notes since she started teaching. Lectures, but gets distracted, tests are HARD
EXTREMELY BORING CLASS. She lectures, but she's very monotone, so it's hard to be interested. Quizzes are fairly easy, but the tests are hard. FIND ANOTHER TEACHER IF POSSIBLE
Easy class!!! If you read for the quizzes you will pass. The lectures are kind of boring but if you pay attention you will definitely pass the tests!
She is extremely knowledgeable and nice. The classes are completely lecture. You have to read a couple pages before 9 quizzes, they're easy if you read. But I never studied for tests and got A's. Really easy class if you like lectures.
Don't take this class in the morning because you WILL fall asleep
Great proffesor and person. Lots of reading, but if you read the material and take notes, this class is an easy A. She is definitely not a babysitter, but is always available for help if you ask. Highly recommend!
A little sarcastic at times; however, Professor Hall is a fair grader and a solid professor. If you're willing to put in the study work, I would definitely recommend her in AMH 2020.
Great professor! She gave all the study ahead time which were really helpful to fill in during her lectures. As long as you study the study guide and come to class her class in a easy A!
The readings and lectures are interesting (aside from her monotone voice) but she's not the best grader. Her quiz questions are easy if you read but she won't hesitate on giving you a zero if you mess up one thing. And the tests are only easy if you really read the question, it's not something you want to misread or you will get it wrong.
DON'T TAKE. Unless you have a huge weird obsession with history. She has reading quizzes on a book separate than the one you need for exams and class discussion, which even if you read she is a very hard grader and will takes plenty of points off for small mistakes. Her exams are easier, but when she lectures she gets off topic all the time!!!!
I thought this class was going to be easy because let's be honest, its American History. However, she was very unclear with what she wanted from us and her daily quizzes were on topics completely irrelevant from what we were learning at the time. Unless you know everything there is to know about history, I advise everyone to stay away.
Class is fairly easy if you are willing to read and listen. Attendance is mandatory if you want to pass the exams. Daily/Weekly quizzes are not multiple choice but easy if you do the reading. Class itself not very hard at all.
Omg no. This lady will put you to sleep. Her humor is drier than the Sahara desert and I cannot stress that part enough. Avoid taking her in the morning if you have to take her and avoid taking her if you don't. Quizzes every other week and if you don't read the book her lecture doesn't cover the other parts of the text. Good luck.
Great teacher, she lectures the entire class but is more than happy to answer questions or have input. No attendance grade taken but you need to hear her lectures, quizzes are easy if you read, if you don't read you will get 0. Very knowledgeable with the topic. Overall I would recommend!
