This was the 1st class I took as a returning adult student, Janet was awesome. Math/Algebra are not easy subjects for me but she made them interesting and would stay with you until you understood. She never made you feel dumb for not getting something.

Ms. Sibol is awesome! Hers was the 1st Math class I've taken since graduating High School 18 years ago, and she made it so easy to understand, almost enjoyable. I used to hate Math, but Ms. Sibol's class made me think that it's not so bad. Great teacher!

She is really anal about doing your homework and turning ALL of it in, which means you basically never have a life because you always have math to do. BUT, she is great at explaining things as many times as you need it. She is just a really nice lady too.

I Took her for Both 0012 and 0024 (which i ended dropping 0024) I took on way to much and had to drop it if you have a full time or multiple time consuming classes i wouldn't recommend. she is an awesome teach loves her job will do anything to help you as long as you meet her. alot of work be prepared for 2 to 3 hours of homework a night.

Janet is an inspirational teacher/person. She will do everything in her power to ensure you "own" the material...but mastery comes with practice. I started taking classes with her at 0012, convinced (since childhood) that I would never understand math. Not only do I understand the processes, I own and enjoy them.

She grades all of your work, and makes sure you are really understanding the material. She is a hard grader, but actually explains why you got it wrong. She taught me SO much and improved my math skills. So nice and so helpful. If you want to finally understand math, take her with confidence!

Janet is the head of the math department and she's tough-she's good but tough. Although her teaching is a little skattered, she is very much in it for the love of math. If you have other classes or a life outside of college (like full time work or kids) I wouldn't suggest taking Janet-like I said-she's good but tough and there's always homework to do and I swear I spend more than 10 hours a week with homework alone...

Very professional. You must stay on top of homework assignments daily if possible. Make sure you take advantage of MathXL's Study Plan feature with its chapter tests. She was very quick and thorough in answering my e-mails consistently. Will take her again for summer math courses.

I'm taking an online course, but 2 days a week you go into the classroom setting to do it. I am VERY math phobic, and dang near had mental breakdowns (i'm tough on myself) when stuck on things while doing at home. Soon as I get in the classroom, she breaks it down so I get it. Very helpful and honest, trying lecture next semester.

If you struggle with math, this is probably the class for you. She's very thorough in explaining things. However, she does tend to move slowly, and expects a lot of questions from you. She's picky with notes as well and will give you half credit for the slightest things. If you don't like a slow pace, take someone else.

Professor Sibiol was very understanding of her students. Attendance counts towards your grades. Tests were never too difficult to comprehend although there was a lot of notes in the lecture. She spent a lot of time on chapters, which did set the class behind, but she had her office hours to discuss any questions you had.

I took this class Summer 2016 and actually got it! It took a bit of work and stopping by her office to ask questions, but she was willing to help if you are struggling. In class she was a pleasure and took the time to go over problems with your homework. If she said it was on the test it was there, with no hidden surprises. I would take her again!

She is a great teacher! There are 4 tests and the homework is ALEKS and the workbook. The only thing is she gets VERY behind on the syllabus. I only have 7 more days of class and we still have to take 2 tests and the final test!

She was very friendly but yes there is a LOT of work. Homework every night, 1 quiz for each chapter, and tests play a HUGE part of your grade. Don't pass one test?Grade drops heavily. Miss class? Get left behind in notes so ask around class. Her lectures were good but can put you to sleep easily. Homework & quizzes is the way to pass her class.

I took her for Ma1033 and mac1105. She made me love math again, its hard to find a good math teacher but prof. Sibol really makes sure you understand it. She tends to get behind on the lecture schedule and ends up pushing back the test and homework due dates. The classes I took with her are both easy As if you pay attention to lecture and do hw!

This is my second time I've had her as a professor. She is really nice. There is 1 pre-requisite assignment, 20 online homework assignments, 4 unit tests, and a final exam. She does not follow so good the syllabus because in her classes she makes sure all the students got the topic. Professor Sybol is an extremely caring and patient teacher. I do not do well in math and actually took her course twice. The first time I did not do well because of some family issues. Professor Sibol took the time to make sure I clearly understood all of the information in class and this time around I have done great on all of my tests.

By far one of the best math professors I have taken. She is very creative in the way she teaches coming up with little phrases to help you remember certain pieces of information which will e on the test. My advice is to do well on all tests since she is a test heavy teacher and to make sure you do your homework.

It's like learning math from Mother Goose. Sweet lady with a calm demeanor. I've had a math anxiety for as long as I can remember, but this prof teaches in a well-paced way and color codes notes to make it easy to follow. She prefers in-person learning, and fell behind plan with her online course, causing it to somewhat pile up in the end.

By my admission, I had my priorities all over the place when I had Mrs. Sibol and my grade showed for it. That said, I had her for MAT-0028, MAT-1033, and MAC 1105 and can say that she truly cares for the students success and goes into great step by step detail when it comes to solving problems.

I took her class in the early morning like 8 a.m. I was not fully awake, and her voice was like singing me to sleep. She responds to my questions quickly. She is a caring professor and gives extra credits for attending.

I'm not the best at math but Janet puts in a lot of effort to make sure students understand what is being taught, and she keeps class interesting and entertaining at the same time.

She's overall a great person and a good teacher. She has a good amount of homework but it is all online through Pearson. Attendance isn't mandatory but you should definitely go to class because she goes through each section that will be on the test. She puts everything on canvas like upcoming notes, marked notes, test outline's, etc.

I took Professor Sibol 2020 and failed her class,I decided to retake her and I am so glad I did I got an A! She is such a caring and overall amazing teacher.If you dont understand something she will take time to teach you ways to memorize and help you understand. Attendance is mandatory. She's a sweet and loving person overall highly recommend her!

She answered questions when asked but classes revolved around getting information done not how well we understood.

Overall, a good teacher. She interacts with her students a lot during her lectures and wants to assure everyone is on board and understanding. She is disorganized sometimes. She pushes things back on the schedule at times. But I would recommend that you take her class if you struggle with math, she is easy to access and is very understanding.

Professor Sibol has been, hands down, one of the best algebra professors I've ever had. She's extremely passionate for math, and her lectures are easy to understand. I really don't understand how anyone could fail her classes. She records the lectures, and the material is a couple of pages long per chapter. If you are math-savvy, take this class.

She is one of the best professors I have ever had!!! All you need is when the exams are here, you have to be at campus. That's all the attendance needed.

By far the best math professor I've had the pleasure of studying under. An extremely dedicated, patient woman with a pleasant demeanor and a truly kind heart. It's obvious that she cares about every individual student's success. She is incapable of leaving the classroom without ensuring that you comprehend the material. Teaching is her calling.
