She is a wonderful teacher. She is able to change how she is saying things so that more people will understand. She is easily distracted durring class discussions, but you still learn a lot from the discussions. She is a fun teacher, and not too hard.

Very nice and energenic, but the class is confusing. Study in advance and READ. She makes it seem so easy in class, but once the test comes everything is tricky. Genetics is an interesting class, I learned a lot.

the class itself was alright. if u take notes u should be fine. vigna is a nice, fun teacher. she keeps the class up by smiling all the time. i recommand u take her lab course and lecture.

hardly any hw, don't buy book either. tests aren't as easy as you might think they will be, but they aren't hard either. all multiple-choice. show up to class and you'll get a grade close to A

I had her for the lab portion of the class and wish that I would have had her for the lecture also. Very energetic and excited about her job, take her if possible.

Well, you don't learn anything new in this class until the very last week. seriously, you learn the same stuff in micro and biochem. Tests are bizar. very in-depth. She doesn't get papers back either. Overall, an easy class. study an hour for the exam. =)

She is an incredible person with a huge heart. She loves teaching and is very well versed in the area. It was a lot of work for 2 credits, but I learned a lot.

Vigna is one of the most amazing teachers on campus. She truely cares about your learning, is passionate about what she does, and enjoys classroom discussion. She is Ok with your dis-comfort! haha. She truely made an impact on my learning at Grand Valley. Had her for Genetics, and Capstone.

Amazing professor! She makes lectures interesting and easy to understand. Every lecture we discuss current issues in bio. Only homework is chapter quizzes online and a few short, straight forward essays. I would definitely take another of her classes.

BEST PROFESSOR AT GRAND VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY!!! She is so amazing. young, energetic and makes you want to come to class. I took this class as an 8am and I was actually excited to go to class because she always made it so interesting. RECOMMENDING HER 100%

She is he best biology teacher i've ever had. She teaches you everything you need to know and the quizzes you are able to take multiple times. I recommend her over any other teacher, she is also very easy to approach. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you do get extra points whenshe assigns homework and you're there. Take if her possible.

Super nice, always willing to help, and very energetic and passionate about what she teaches. She doesn't always explain things well and can be confusing. Her tests use more abstract concepts than what she discusses in class which makes them a little difficult.

Vigna is a phenomenal professor in BIO 104. She is enthusiastic and wants to make it relevant to your personal life. She embraces technology in the classroom and is just a great prof. She wrote the textbook so she knows exactly what topics she's covering.

Professor Vigna is great and very helpful! She is extremely intelligent and makes the class somewhat enjoyable for a biology class. Exams are decently hard if you study hours before the test but luckily the lab is 25% of your Bio grade. Take Vigna if you have the chance! Awesome prof!

I am awful at science but she made the class very clear and easy to understand. I'm passing with a 94% right now. She is funny and she makes her lectures worth while. Willing to help anyone at any time. She's very patient and understanding. The book isn't a necessity, but it would be a life saver if you skip class. (Which i wouldn't recommend)

I really enjoyed Vigna but her lectures were sometimes confusing. It's an easy A class just have to do most learning through the study guide before the tests. Her tests weren't too bad as long as you studies and there were no quizzes. Super nice lady and always made classes very fun!

you don't need the book unless that's how you prefer to study. she's funny and easy going and is willing to help and wants everyone to understand the material. there are only 4 assignments which are easy, some more time consuming than others. there are 4 tests, one being the final and an online quiz for each chapter, with unlimited times to take.

Literally the best professor I've ever had. She's so down to earth and can laugh at herself.

She is amazing as a professor. My lecture with her was supposed to be an hour and 15, but we almost always got out within the first hour because she doesn't drag on or ramble about anything unimportant. My only complaint would be the assignments, which are a little long, but there aren't many.

Professor Vigna gets so into her lectures! She makes learning things so fun because she is so funny and into everything she does! I would 10/10 recommend her as your BIO 104 teacher. The class was not awfully hard just show up, listen, and look over the reviews she gives you. We never really used the book in class but it is useful to read for tests

Vigna is the SWEETEST lady and cares about all her students. Class is lecture heavy but she makes it easy. Only 4 tests through semester and final is non-cumulative. HIGHLY recommend taking a class with her!

Professor Vigna is probably the coolest BIO professor, she makes everything as enjoyable as possible. She cares so much about you and your grade. I would highly recommend taking this class with her. The textbook is not needed at all, but pay attention in class.

Vigna will do everything in her power to help her students succeed, she is a great prof. She pushed back tests when we weren't ready, and always offered help with assignments. Would definitely recommend.

Lecture is a little boring, but she's amazing!

Prof. Vigna is one of the nicest professors I've had. She is very passionate about biology and is always in a happy mood. Only thing is the lectures can be a bit boring, but grade is based on mainly online homework assignments, attendance and exams (which are all multiple choice). Easy to pass with a little effort.

Professor Vigna is extremely forgiving of missing assignments. Typically, when something is due, she will extend the deadline to allow things to be turned in within a week later with full credit. Everything talked about in the lectures is all what is read in the book, so if you do the readings, going to class isn't really necessary to pass.

Professor Vigna makes biology as enjoyable as possible. Her lectures can be a bit dry, but if you do the readings and chapter questions, you can easily earn a good grade. Unstuck AI was a great tool for quiz and exam prep.
