Her final was a lot of memorizing and lots of essays and ID's...it was hard
very good prof, large amt of writing, but her expectations are clear
This class is much more work than other 101 classes, but the expectations are clear and the professor is nice..
Definetly take this class. Essays are short, exams not that bad. Have to go to every class (doesn't post notes online, but if you get all the notes exams are easy with a little studying. Have extra credit opps. too.
worthwhile class, id/essay exams - questions given out ahead of time, a few essays over the semester. fair tests, does require studying.. but this IS college.
she thinks that she is very funny. and she is not. boring lectures, bad attitude.
She is very nice, very clear in what she expects. The tests arent too difficult, she hands out the questions ahead of time
i had her for the final history class where u write the big paper. OH MAN. it totally blew. she had us read this big book that was so hard to understand. she didn't grade well either. one kid in my class brought his paper (scored D) to the dept head who went 'wtf' basically and changed his grade to a B
Her lectures are boring, and the "humour" which she tries to impart on them is weak and not funny to say the least. Her grading proceedures are strange and unclear. Her class policies are also somewhat hypocritical and emotion based.
funny at times
this class was wicked interesting! I recommend it for anyone who wants to take a easy history class. The lectures are clear cut and tell you what you need to know and her midterm and final isnt that bad. Got an 89 with small amounts of studying, you can too. Her TA's are great aswell. Her humor needs work but they arent payin her to be funny r they
i would not recommend taking this class, unless you are good at writting essays and what not, exams our only based on readings that you do throughout the semester not on lecture. so you HAVE to read and get what you are reading to get a good grade on exams and papers
She's very smart and has a lot of interesting side notes and such. It's a very very interesting class. I highly recommend it!!
she is good
cannot stand this woman. goes way too fast through her slides, tries to be funny but fails miserably. no real textbook, just a huge packet of primary sources that she puts together herself. TA's arent allowed to answer specific questions before exams and are useless. AVOID THIS CLASS!!
She has a major attitude problem. She thinks she is the best at her subject but lacks any real understanding of military operations ( prior service military). Highly disrespectful to the armed forces
Useless class. major attitude problem! Don't take her class. She thinks she's funny and smart and all that but she just really really annoying. hopefully they got rid of her soon. WORST TEACHER EVER!!!
If only she had a class about herself would she be satisfied. She covers the material as any professor would, with some hints of enthusiasm. She very often talks about her life so that you may sympathize with her. She and her teaching assistants push their communist agendas so watch out.
Good professor who knows what she's talking about. She does have an attitude, but it's not that big of a deal. Lots of reading...but you could get away without doing some of it. Exams are pretty easy to study for because she tells you what will be on them. I would recommend this class if you enjoy learning about history.
I have never worked so hard in a class to get a B in my whole college career. Class should be labeled a W course since there are 4 papers and the exams are all essay style where you must cite textual evidence from two to three sources. These must be memorized. My TA only made it worse since he was completely useless. She talks about herself only.
Obnoxious!! DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU DON'T LIKE HISTORY, AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE TO WRITE PAPERS. REQUIRES A LOT OF READING! She speaks too fast that you can't even jot down some important notes. I have this TA, she's terrible, her name is Alissa Bellotti, she gives you****ty grades on your paper. Too much work for this class!
This is the worst teacher ever, she grades completely subjectively so you get screwed based on which TA you have. She always talks about herself and her stupid cheesy jokes. She has a serious attitude problem and thinks that she's godsend but her mullett says otherwise.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS...worst class I have ever taken. She is extremely rude to her students and believes that what she is asking for in her papers is clear, but it is NOT CLEAR. I spent countless hours writing these papers and studying and got a C in the class. The TA that I had was rude as well. NOT OBJECTIVE GRADERS. awful. ruined my gpa :(
Terrible teacher. The reviews speak for themselves. Personally I believe she's bitter because she knows Wikipedia is a better source for information rendering her profession obselete. Makes fun of students, tells her TA's to grade very harshly, makes historical events confusing and does not teach linearly.
Even though it is a 101 course, it will be advanced and will require writing and analytical skill. I enjoyed the class and learned a lot! Do not take the class if you think you can get away with fooling in the back. She is strict. Recommended for Hist majors and Honors Students. Go to officehours. Prof Watson is very sweet when you get to know her.
She's extremely tough in class and demands your attention, but she'll definitely keep you interested. Exam questions come from both class notes and text, but it's definitely necessary to pay attention in class to fill in her slides. Essays are short but require a lot of analyzing and knowledge.
TAKE THIS CLASS!! I really don't know what some of these people are complaining about. Prof Watson is really a wonderful teacher and person. Her class is always interesting and keeps me anticipating for the next lecture. You will need analytical skill and know how to write. Really, the class isn't that hard. You have to A work/effort to earn an A.
She's very condisending towards her students for no reason at all. Also she pushes her political feelings on everyone even though that isn't what the class is about. This is a must miss class.
Condescending to students. Wastes time with pointless and disengaging stories. When she is lecturing, however, she is clear and knowledgeable.
A bitter woman who treats college students as middle school children. Her class is a bonafide example of a general education with her dull powerpoint slides and pretentious attitude. I don't see liking her outside of class either.
She reminds me of Umbridge from Harry Potter. She stops class if you are talking/texting just to call you out on it. Papers are easy, mid term/finals are graded fairly hard. Material isn't difficult but the depth of the answers her TA's expect is. Show up to class if you can't get the notes from someone else because she does't post them online.
I agree she is very similar to Umbridge from HP. Stops entire lectures to call students out like some middle school class/adds irrelevant personal stories to lecture. Her TA's are very pretentious, material in lecture is clear but discussion sections are flat out ridiculous. They expect outrageous depth in papers that don't reflect the lectures.
Janet Watson is a horrible professor, who does not lecture properly, and the TA (Erin Bartam)is even worst. They do not care about their students. They expect you to write super in-depth papers, as if you have a PHD in History. There's not a text book for her class. You have to take notes, based upon what she say... I regret, taking this class!
She treats students like they r in elementary school and she has the idea that she is better than everyone. also the textbook we use she created and the readings for the discussions are long and extremely boring.
Horrible teacher, rude to students, don't take this class. Have to go and take notes if you want to do well.
Quite easily the worst professor I have ever had. Pompous, arrogant, she takes every opportunity to stop a class to talk down to someone, constantly talks about her personal life and experience, insults religion. She began the first class by shouting at the entire class and telling us "You are NOT in Kindergarden!" and never introduced the course.
Such a hard professor, impossible to get an A on anything unless you know everything about history. Pretty much everyone in the class takes it for a GENED and so no one seems to do well. Good Luck if you take the class, hopefully you'll get an easy TA, unlike some who are just as tough as the professor.
Good luck! Class never sparked my interest, always ended up on facebook. TA grades everything so suck up.. Class was terrible and a waste of time.
watson thought she was much better than everyone else in the class and she chose bad essay topics and put many terms on the final that had very little to do with the course itself the best part of the class was when we were in discussion groups and i didnt have to listen to her stories about her own life that were not relevant AVOID HER BAD TEACHER
Worst class I've taken in my entire life, avoid at all costs. I had to take this as a pre-req for the business school. The TA grades everything, I had Erin Bartram, went to her almost all of her office hours in the Benton, talked to her after discussions and went to her with drafts of my paper before it was due, and NEVER got above a C
Despite what everyone says, i loved Janet. She was very knowledgable but her papers were very difficult. Don't blame her for a bad grade bc your TA grades you. (Don't take Mrs. Harris/Maselko- she grades really hard). If you dont wanna pay attention in class tho, don't come because she will call you out. just respect her and you'll be fine.
Watson was not the friendliest... she will call out people even in the furthest row like a hawk if they're whispering or looking at each other. Paper topics were hard and they took me a long time to write, but I thought lectures were generally interesting. I ended up with a B. You have to go to the lectures.
she's not the worst. definitely not the best. but she's not satan.
She was a decent teacher as far as lectures go, but she refuses to use a textbook which was very frustrating when writing essays and studying. it could have just been her TA's (who did all of the grading) but the class was graded extremely hard, i feel like they made it way too challenging for a intro level class, i would take a different one.
I really thought that Watson was a good professor. People say that she had this air of superiority, but I disagree, she just really knew her stuff so she comes off as pretentious. Frustrated by lack of a real book; the book is compiled by her. Papers were not to bad, and you can always get help on them from your TA or another TA if necessary.
a history class without a text book. all that has to be said.
I generally hate history courses but did really well in this class. Watson doesn't make you memorize tedious information like dates, but expects you to learn concepts and the significance of events. Papers only had to be two pages and the exams were essay exams where you're given the questions ahead of time.
No textbook! She is very interested and makes lectures interesting. Discussion attendance is very important. Readings every week but you can get by not doing all them.
Packs way to much information in one lecture so she talks soooo fast. Slides arent in chronological order, very confusing. AVOID
arrogant lady but she didnt bother me in particular with it. class is guaranteed toward an automatic B because they grade to critically on the essays. have to go to every class or you'll slack behind. although I didnt do a single reading all semester and understood them from discussion, that's the big positive I took out of this class
Professor Watson can be rude, but I did find her class interesting. You have to go to lecture because there isn't a textbook. I missed one lecture and was very confused afterwards. Exams are difficult and participation in discussion is 25% of your grade.
Watson comes off as rude, but that's just her demeanor. Her slideshowslectures are good if you know how to take good notes. LOTS of reading. Weekly quizzes on them in discussion. TA's grade pretty roughly (at least mine did). Allows cheat-sheets for the two exams but with strict word count. For a gen-ed, it's quite a bit of work.
If the class only consisted of quizzes and lecture, I'd be fine. But the actual exams are ridiculous. It's a matter of thought, and if your answers don't match their way of thinking, kiss your GPA good bye. Avoid if possible. Don't skip and take notes if you do decide to take her class. Consider recording class bc PowerPoints aren't posted.
Watson is a very tough teacher. You need to go to every single class because the powerpoints aren't online. The readings are annoying and some are very hard to understand. If you do all of the work you can get a B or aboveIf you dont want to do a lot of work dont choose watson. This class had the most work out of my classes this semester by a lot.
Had to take her class as a gen-ed for the school of business. Would not recommend to anyone. Does not use actual textbook, but rather a compilation of primary sources in which you have to analyze and comprehend on your own. Discussion is mandatory and participation is required as well. Must do the readings or else it's over for you.
One of the hardest gen ed classes I've ever taken. Don't take this class if you want an easy A in history. No textbook and no online notes. Basically, if you don't take down every word that she says during lecture you won't get anything above a C. Everyone thinks they ace the exams in there until they see how unfaily the TAs grade them. Good luck.
I hated this class. I am a great student and put effort into all of my classes but Professor Watson expects an unreal amount of work for a class that people are forced to take as a gen-ed. She is the epitome of a professor who takes herself and her class too seriously. Her grading system is a joke. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER.
I hated this class, not only because of lecture and massive amounts of reading every week but also because of my TA. The TAs for this class were on very high horses and never gave any feedback about why you got the grade you did. Grading seemed very arbitrary. It was a huge amount of effort for a gen ed class. Lots and lots of reading.
Pretty difficult for a 1000 level gen-ed. A lot of the grading comes from discussion section and the grading is very strict. Exams are also challenging as well. Would not recommend if you don't like history. This class will drag your GPA down.
This was one of the worst classes in my life. The textbook is just primary sources, and you have to show up to lecture. The information that we use must come from lectures or primary sources. New information that we know before hand or find online is not allowed, which is ridiculous. If you take this class, good luck and godspeed. Take someone else
This class is a lot of work. Every week there is a mountain of reading. If you don't take good notes, they don't take too long, but you should take good notes since you get one question per week on the readings and they go into detail. The class is a good class though, you learn a lot and she's not boring in lecture. Just make sure you work.
It's just not worth it.
There is no text book for this history course its just primary sources. The history is taught in lecture and she does not post any slides so if you do not show up to class you will never know what she will ask you to recall on her mid term and final
Very interesting class, but the tests are difficult and there is a lot of reading.
Have your ears ready for lectures, she spits out info quick and you have to catch it. Make sure you actively read the weekly readings and take notes. This is by no means an easy class but if you try a B is very much possible. If you really really try, an A is a leap away.
Bottom line is I've never gotten a "C"in my life, until I took Professor Watson.
Do not take this class. I thought hist1400 should be an easy elective. I was very wrong. Her slides have like 2 words on it, so you have to go to class and write down what she says. Her grading is vague and unclear. She has weekly quizzes where you have to read up to 50 pages, and then it will be one question on a random, small fact.
Very boring lectures. Midterm and final are very difficult. Go to every lecture and take good notes because she doesn't post them online.
This is not a highschool class. You can't just memorize and regurgitate from the textbook. Mostly because there isn't a textbook. There is just a collection of primary sources. You need to analyze and draw conclusions from them. It's kind of like english, except you need more citations and stronger arguments.
Sweet Jesus, this class is a disaster. Imagine someone throwing 50+ slides at you per week, but these slides are vague and you have to mostly rely on her spit-fire rhetoric for notes. On top of that, the exam requires you to cite specific examples from the text without the use of said text or notes. Avoid this like the plague it is.
She is by far the worst teacher I have had at Uconn. She speaks in lecture as though she is better than everyone in the room. She is very condescending and very boring. She doesn't make class interesting whatsoever. There is a ton of information to know and a bunch of reading. Terrible class. Avoid at all costs.
tests aren't easy, but if you show up to class and study they're completely manageable. Overall not a bad class. Lectures were interesting
Lectures are super long and vague. You HAVE to pay attention to what she is saying and write your own notes. Only two exams and if you do bad in one of them your grade will suck. Weekly readings and quizzes and writing assignments. The TA's are not really approachable/helpful. If you are looking for an easy gen ed then keep looking.
No sense of humor at all.
She is a very very very very terrible teacher, just unbelievable. Her lecture is super long, and she is just standing there, keeping talking and thinking she is the best of everyone in the class. I stay up three nights to study for the final, and I still just get C in the end. So guess how bad her class is.
Weekly homework for discussions were easy. Her lectures were sometimes boring but also sometimes really interesting. Not the most approachable but still friendly & engaging. Study for the midterm/final, not too bad if you study but I had like a 90 in the class, got a C on the final and got a B- overall /:
This class is absolutely terrible. Her lectures are packed with so much information that it is truly difficult to grasp what she is even trying to teach. She is not approachable at all. There is a great deal of mandatory reading every week and at discussion you have a specific one question quiz on that reading. Absolutely brutal. Avoid this class.
She is hard to access after class. Don't expect A. She has pop quizzes on discussion class and the questions are very detail. Her lecture has a few relation to her reading materials and she often upload reading material on the midnight before class so that you will have few time to read it before class.
Janet "Janny" Watson is quite the British history buff. She is so engulfed in the topic that she must have forgotten about the history of her OWN country, America-- this is demonstrated by her putrid political views that she openly discusses in class.
I took history through mystery with Professor Watson. She made it really fun and interesting, and I loved her class. I learned a lot; shes basically a walking history book. Shes also a really nice person. I would 100% take a class with her again. Shes one of the best professors Ive had.
I'm currently taking HIST1400 with her and it's pretty terrible. The class itself is not overly difficult but the professor puts very limited information on her slideshows, so be ready to type fast or miss information. She's also just a generally condescending person and it seems like she wants her students to feel stupid, which sucks.
No group work, no textbook use, lots of readings (4-6/week), however, 2 of those are only graded for completion. If you like history, this class is for you. She talks a lot and goes on tangents. If you don't/find history difficult, find another class because you'll be lost. i.e. not for everyone. Also, participate in class even through chat.
Nothing much
Lectures are boring and you have to follow along closely considering her slides have little to no text. Have reading/writing components which are pretty much reading worksheets like ones we had to complete in hs. TA grades harshly despite knowing that this is a gen. ed. and most students are required to take it.
I would never recommend taking history with watson and this TA to anyone. always sounds like shes crying and goes over the 55 minute class time to talk ab politics. I took 2 AP history courses in hs and did great - TA is a harsh grader and tells you to email him to set up a meeting but whenever I did he was always too busy. Highly do not recommend
Minimal text on her slides, hard to follow. Emailed her prior saying I wouldn't be able to make it to class once and if she could help catch me up but she just directed me to the huskyct site for the slides which I couldn't find so i asked for help to find them but got no response. Emailed her again for help with something and got no response.
This course singlehandedly ruined my semester! Many of the lectures involved the professor going on off on long tangents. There were too many dense, irrelevant texts assigned. The grading is also super harsh and arbitrary. When I thought I did well I did poorly, and when I thought I did terribly I actually did okay. Please avoid this class!
Worst class I took as a freshman in her first semester. The slides and her lectures online are not fun and she doesn't go through all of the slides in the 50 minute period. The homework has nothing to do with what we talked in class and is graded very harshly. DO NOT take this class. Worst class ever.
If your going to take her class the best thing to do is record the lecture and then when she gives you the assignment go back to the slide show and only look at what the homework is about. Most of the stuff she talks about is irrelevant and will never be brought up again. I barely attended class but got good grades on the essays
90% of lecture material has no connection whatsoever to the reading worksheets and essays. The expectations for these assignments are super unclear and grading is SO harsh. Imagine your GPA tanking because of a gen ed...I think that says enough about this miserable class. When you see almost 100 reviews and a 2.5 rating, there's a reason for that!
Please find another course if this is your gen-ed class. Just do yourself a favor.
The lectures rarely ever relate to the homework she assigns with it. Both of the midterms and the final are essays with extremely vague prompts that are graded harshly. There are no projects or group work, just weekly assignments. She's a pretty nice lady though but it doesn't translate to her grading.
Good professor but if you don't like history the class is boring. You must pay attention during lectures because the slides are just words. The information from the lectures are used to do the weekly work. Not to bad but just gets repetitive and boring
I took Hist 1400 with Prof. Watson and she honestly is not as bad as what has been said. She is very flexible with grading and make-up work, especially in this day and age. She doesn't grade harshly, just pay attention in the lectures and take good notes, and you'll be fine. Homework is a bit excessive and repetitive, but that doesn't mean it's bad
Watson isn't a bad teacher but her homework is honestly repetitive, boring, and ridiculously too much. I've honestly written more in this class than I have in my writing intensive class and it is really annoying. I'm someone who really is interested in history but this class made me hate it because of the intensive writing homework. Don't take.
She's a really nice person but I don't think she should be a professor. She goes off topic a lot in class and wastes class time which results in here releasing late. She assigns unnecessary homework that doesn't tie into what we discussed in class. Her TA also grades unnecessarily hard. I would just avoid this class in general.
You need to show up for her lectures, she only puts like 2 words on the slide and then lectures , so if you skip class and just look at the power point you will struggle! You have the same 3 homework assignments every week all semester, it's boring!! She is very unorganized and the timeline of history and her lectures do not add up.
I tried writing everything I disliked about this course and professor but I ran out characters in the box; the first, second, and third time I tried to write it. Incredibly non-transparent, gives a ridiculous amount of work for a class worth so little, and grades rather harshly. Participation is also required despite it not helping you learn at all
More tedious than difficult. I've never seen a professor get more sidetracked in my life. Every day, she went on long rants about things not related to the class and couldn't finish the notes as a result. The lectures were often not related to the HW, which are VERY repetitive to do. HW is graded on completion, but the 3 exams are harshly graded.
So boring.Homework is too much, most have nothing to do with the content in class,She gave me a score 25, saying I did not meet the knowledge in the class, but her class was completely different from the homework due on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. strongly not recommended to takeHIST1400 since it is difficult to get marks and she dont relpy email
i cant even explain how angry this class makes me. you have to write a one page paper after every class and oftentimes the topic that youre supposed to write about was barely mentioned in class. goes over time in class bc she constantly goes on rants. both her and the TA are tough graders. CANT MISS CLASS! if u do she makes u have a meeting w her
Do not take this class if you can avoid it. Tough grader, lots of homework, and disorganized lectures. She gets sidetracked almost every class, and sometimes doesn't go over all the material you need to do the homework. The class is not too hard, but there is way too much homework for a 1000-level course.
Go to lectures. It is very hard to keep up if you skip a class. There is a lot of weekly homework which gets annoying because it is due the day after it is assigned. Very tough grader on essays and weekly homework. The class itself is not hard, but it is difficult to get an A.
She's knowledgeable. Clearly knows what she's teaching, reflected by how little put on slides and chooses to say everything important verbally. You HAVE to write down every word she says in your notes to do well on exams. You use these notes on the essay midterms and final. SO much writing for homework. You NEED to go to EVERY class to do well.
Very lecture heavy. There is homework due after every lecture, and it is information you can only get if you go. It's interesting subjects, but too difficult for a 1000 level class in my opinion. Her slides also offer no information, so if you don't attend all your classes, I wouldn't recommend this class. If you like history, go for it.
Completely disorganized, unresponsive, difficult to deal with and all around AWFUL. She loses tests, doesn't answer emails, and has a very large ego.
Does not grade until 2 weeks before finals. Lectures are uninteresting and she brings no fun or anything interesting at all to the table beside her personal life that WE DONT CARE ABOUT. This class has the potential to be fun and interactive but she lacks the skill to be a fun human being at all. Take another W course save yourself the time :)
Very nice professor. I had some health problems later on in the semester and she was very accommodating. However, she assigned a huge amount of work. We would have to do a reading every class and we would have to write a short response on it. Every week, she would assign multiple long readings and an extensive reading worksheet to go with them.
WORST professor I have ever had. Thinks this gen ed class every single kid is going to major in History. 3 VERY long HWs per week, gives less than 20 hours to do the homework - cannot access beforehand. If u don't go to class u are failing, HWs have questions related to what was said in lectures. NO online slides. Take someone else for gen-ed.
She is VERY knowledgeable. With that being said, everything else is tough. VERY little info on slides EVERYTHING is verbal, skipping is going to hurt. Emailed her 6 times and have not heard from her once. The homework is unrealistic 2 one page essays a week due in less than 24 hrs of being assigned + an extremely reading intensive weekly sheet.
bad bad bad bad. avoid at all costs. due to personal reasons i had to make up the final exam at an alternate date, and she was absolutely so unaccommodating. didnt email me back until the last day, ended up nearly failing me because i inconvenienced her. had to dispute my grade with the dean.
She never answered emails lever. Posts the powerpoints but they have very little words, the lectures are all verbal, DO NOT SKIP. Take notes on what she says. A page assignment after classes and a worksheet due on Friday. It has 7 questions for 2-3 sources, have to write paragraph for each. So much work. All midterms and final are essays open note.
Professor Watson is very kind, however she spends a lot of time in lecture talking about random things, and then uses the last 5 minutes to run through everything, always keeping you over. Lectures are mandatory since the powerpoints don't make any sense unless you're there. Also didn't put in grades until the last week.
Go to lecture or you're screwed. No grades in until the final week. Yusuf Mansoor might be the worst TA I've ever had. Got a zero on an entire portion of the grade for the course for using AI (which I did) which is why I got a C+. prof. Watson will not respond to your emails but she is very smart and knows a lot about history. TA is the worst.
Don't take this class if you are expecting an easy grade. Weekly reading of at least 3 sources with detailed analysis needed. Attendance at discussion sections is mandatory also. 3 test for most of your grade.
hated this class please take a different one
I think professor Watsons lectures were actually quite interesting, and there was not much homework that came from this class, the in class essays were graded pretty leniently, and as long as you participate in the discussion you should get a good grade in this class
Dr. Watson was very passionate in her lectures, but was sometimes all over the place and could be a bit condescending. Her class was set up in a good way though with weekly homework and open note essay exams and I did learn a lot because she's very knowledgeable!!
Do everything you can to avoid taking this class. Her history timeline is all over the place making it very hard to understand the concepts, she talks about things that don't relate to the subject matter, and 9/10 times will go over class time. She assigns 1 page of typed writing after every class and sometimes the readings can be up to 10 pages.
This is the single worst teacher I have had at UCONN. Prof Watson and the TAs treat the class like everyone is a history major. Professor Watson doesn't grade until the last week, extremely unaccommodating and egotistical. Most work intensive class I took this semester, and it is a 1000 level gen ed class. Do not take at all costs.
Lecture was very intresting/well taught but the teacher makes it the rating it is. She wont grade your work/tell you how well your doing. She will not answer your emails and she is very hard to reach. Youll ask about how to do better in the class and she just says to look at the syllabus(not helpful) Save your sanity and take another course.
(Fall 2023) Janet's passionate about this subject I will say. You have to attend lecture. She didn't post the slides ever. When the slides were up she skipped through them too fast which was frustrating. You have to type as she's talking which was difficult but you need to be able to keep up. The midterm and final were open note but graded harshly.
Professor Watson's class is no walk in the park. While the lectures can be interesting, the workload is heavy with mandatory attendance and detailed weekly assignments. However, unstuck ai has been a helpful study tool alongside the class materials.
Horrendous teacher, didn't grade anything until finals week, somehow ended with a D+ and I don't even know what I got on any of my exams because the grades aren't uploaded.
Honestly she is not as bad as the reviews make her out to be. Do the readings, do the worksheets, engage in class and you will be fine. The in class essays are a little difficult but it's a college course so that makes sense. It's interesting and the way she presented the work was engaging. I'd take a class from her again.
