Before I took her class,I was so afraid of getting bad grade from this class because people said she is CRAZY. However, Her class was not that hard, but her lecture was not so clear.I personally thought her test was kinda easy after studying 25hrs. before each test. Overall, she is O.k, but the subject sucks. She does the best she can with a hard subject. She thinks that everyone in her class is a bio major and therefore needs to learn every piece of information, whether its going to be on the test or not, and that causes a lot of stress trying to figure out what you should be studying for. If you have to take anatomy, she's alright, not bad, not great.

Avoid this professor. She means well and knows her stuff but does not know how to transmit it to students. Professor Clymer is a passionate and knowledgeable teacher. Although she sometimes has trouble answering questions that aren't on her slides, she will help you in lab and after class. The tests are difficult but she grades with a curve so be prepared to pay attention in class and spend hours of studying. Prof. Clymer is underrated on this site!

Worst biology teacher i have ever had. She doesn't teach anything that isn't on the slides. And her quizzes and tests have nothing to do with what she "teaches." She also does not do any sort of review, give handouts or offer help. If you don't understand something she makes you feel dumb. I am extremely dissatisfied with her teaching methods.

If you love your GPA stay away. I am highly interested in biology and regrettably I started off with this class. Her lectures are so scattered, crammed, and confusing. She lectures as though we all have a Phd in biology and should be on the same level as her. She also shows frustration whenever one asks for assistance during lab.

Of all of the classes I have ever taken, this is the WORST taught by the WORST prof. Her tests are not based on things she emphasized in class, quizzes are a punishingly large proportion of the grade and are impossible to pass even when you study for HOURS because she is DISORGANIZED. WORST EVER. I WAS a 4.0 student until this class. WASTE.

Dr. Clymer isn't easy, you have to work for it, but that's how it should be in college. You need to read the text for overall understanding, take detailed notes, and study before the exams. She is always available for office hours and questions. Participation is encouraged. Lab quizzes can be tough, but field trips and lots of hands-on learning.

Dr. Clymer is easily the worst professor I have ever had. I think she has good intentions but cannot clearly explain basics. I went to every class and found it an absolute waste of my time. I got As on every test and quiz with no help from the professor. Please, I beg you, do not waste your time taking this professor.

I thought people were exaggerating when it came to Clymer's reviews on here but they were right. It's a really rough class because there so much material to cover and she piles on the work. I managed to barley pass the course but I was on the borderline for a while, extra credit helped. She's a good person overall and knows material well though.

The WORST college class. This is entry level of BIO before the transfer and she expects you to know the master level of biology. More than half of the class dropped in one month. So much assignments including journal paper which has nothing to do with BIO210B. It was more like an English class. Stay away from this bad teacher. Not worth effort.

Don't let these reviews scare you away from Dr. Clymer. You get as much out of this class as you put into it, do the homework, pay attention in class, and most importantly, review the relevant powerpoints before her quizzes and exams. It's not difficult to get an A in this class unless you have difficulty grasping basic scientific concepts.

Dr. Clymer is extremely knowledgable in her field. There's a ton of information covered in her BIOL 210B class and lab and you MUST study in order to do well on her tests. She's strict when it comes to using electronic devices during class, which is probably a good thing. She'll help you if you need it, but expect to work. Super nice.

Not very helpful with questions. Monotone. Lots of time and studying required. If you plan on taking this class and only this class for a semester, you'd be fine.

Prof. Clymer's Bio210B will be on of the toughest classes you'll take before transferring out. Not because the concepts are hard to grasp, but because of the sheer amount on information she'll press onto you, (32 chapters total). The exams are tough in spite of this, including a final that accumulates everything. Take this class with another Prof

Most of the answers are in her slides, i would rec working on it as she lectures. Lectures can be a bit dry. Extra credit is given during lab if you color the diagrams :)

Class is hard. Lecture exams have MC/Essay/SA. Lab exams are only difficult if you weren't involved during lab. Homework is easy points and can be used to study. Clymer teaches 30+ chapters but does her best to make it possible to do well. C average on tests but came out with a solid B. Work as hard as she does and you'll get the grade you earn.

I know I had her during a difficult semester for her life wise (she was gone a lot for medical reasons), but she taught the class like we were all bio majors. By far the most difficult class I took a mesa. I studied hard and ended up with a 69% that she wouldn't raise so I had to retake it. I think maybe 10 people passed the class.

Make sure to keep up with the material and prepare for her lectures. I felt that the professor did not have enough time to cover the material that she wanted to. So make sure you study by yourself, using the textbook. 3 exams, 1 cumulative final worth 25% of your grade, 3 lab practicals, and homework assignments from a workbook she created.

Even after attending most of her office hours I felt lost in her class. You must read the textbook and her slides before going to her lecture. It is also helpful to work on the homework after lecture. If you do this youll stay on top of it, but make sure that if youre taking other classes this one is your priority. For lab: study book before lab.
