This teacher is hard but good. lectures are very easy to understand. Her tests are hard and she tries to trick you into the wrong answer. Overall I learned a lot in her class. However, don't take her class if you want an easy teacher.

Knows material very well but boring and hard to pay attention...repeats herself a lot. Group assignments suck...to much work. She forgets we have other classes. I don't recommend!

Part 2: She grades on attendance so that is a problem. Her tests are very hard, but i think they are book tests, because i came to class every day and blanked out the lecture and did great. In B and C there are almost no As in the class. Dont hope.

Holy...i have never had a teacher like her before. She has that monotone voice, i signed up for the class interested in accounting...ended up dropping by the midterm. Not a horrible teacher, just boring. Hw is optional, but make sure u do it..i might of passed if i did my hw.

Mrs. Feingold is a fine professor. Sure the HW can be long and tests can be wordy, but I dont mind doing it because she is so nice. She is always there for questions as well as grade objections if need be. I have nothing bad to say about the lady.

My counciler summed her up: "If you get a B in Feingold's business class, its like getting an A in anybody elses class." Stick with her lectures even though they are boring. She is very nice and very helpful if you talk to her after class and in her office.

Should not be called a teacher as she does not actually teach, just tells you word for word what the book says on transparencies. She is also boring, no class participation at all. I did get a B though when I only expected a C.

if you are interested in accounting major she is a good teacher... she knows her stuff and is willing to help and answer questions...but if you have no interest in accounting you will check out of this class in a matter of seconds...VERY BOARING, monotone teaching method.

Always available. Courteous. Very friendly. Thoroughly knowledgeable. Engaged with the subject. Clear explanations. Material is initially difficult to grasp and surprisingly time consuming. She makes it clear, but you have to put in a lot of time on homework and test prep.

went into this class expecting worse,it really wasnt that bad,mabe cuz it was my second time through,this time was better then the first tho.she's very nice and really tries to make it fun,its definatly not impossible to get an A.shes a tough grader but curves the grade at the end. my advise; read ur ass off & show up! its only as hard you make it

Dress and style reflect her time in the business world working as an accountant. Talks about everything in the book and is very organized. Expects a lot. You definitely have to do the work to get a good grade but will be very ready for the next level class.

Mrs. Freigold is the best professor I have ever met because I really learned accounting from her classes. Her teaching style is really helpful to construct solid fundamentals. To get an A is easy if you are willing to pay attention and follow her clear and workable instructions. You’ll thank her efforts while you’re in advance accounting courses.

Mrs. Feingold really is not as bad as these people say. She really knows her stuff. Although she does read from her powerpoints, taking detailed notes as you go really passes the time. She is always available and very helpful. Be respectful to her and she will be respectful to you.It is a lot of work, but hey, its college, not high school.

I am now a student at UCSB-transferred from Moorpark. Looking back, I can now say that Feingold truly is a great teacher. Her instructions are clear, the homework she assigns is relevant, and her grading is fair. She's actually better than many UCSB profs. No, she is not too difficult -- UCSB is MUCH worse, believe me,so stop complaining! A+ teach!

Grow up! This is college not high school. If you plan to transfer to a university you need to know how to study. Getting an A for doing nothing may get you in but it won't get you through. I transferred to CSUN and was better prepared for upper division classes than most students in my classes and I owe that mostly to this instructor.

I don't understand what everyone is talking about. She is a great teacher. She is professional, helpful, and extremely clear on the content covered. If you follow her recommendations and read the book, do the homework before class, you will do fine. Awesome teacher.

Reads key definitions from the book & repeats important points but that's because most of the students don't seem to bother to do the reading and homework and she is trying to help them learn. Uses class time to explain homework problems and exams are exactly like the homework so just do it and you will get at least a B.

She explains things well but her tests are pretty hard. She does give EC which is helpful. My advice is pay attention, take good notes, do the assignments, read the book & take advantage of the EC.

Very good professor, helpful and extremely educated on this field. Ive come to understand that most students that talk bad about this class are lousy. she def. prepares us students for the real world and university, unlike other professors. One of those classes where you need to read the chapter before walking in class. recommend

Good professor and knows the subject very well. Tests are okay but the final is quite difficult. My suggestion is to do the homework, read the chapter before class and ask questions. She is very patient and really wants to help her students understand the material. Do any EC that she offers, it helps!

She is a god teacher, doesn't really teach anything. Homework is not mandatory but she does get annoyed when there are low tests scores and she knows people don't do their work. Tests are not hard if you do all the homework and ask questions. The class is boring because there is no interaction and it's all lessons. She's really good if you do well.

This class isn't fun, it is what it is. But she is clear. She would LOVE to help you if you need it. I suggest always doing the work so you can keep up. Be there every day because if you get behind it can be hard to catch up for some people.

Excellent Professor. I didn't know anything about accounting but I did well in the class. Janice Feingold was always very patient and helpful. If you read the book, do the assignments and pay attention, you should do well in her class.

She is not the most interesting professor, but her lectures are clear and helpful. She is very patient, and is always happy to answer questions and clarify things. Her quizzes are definitely hard. Her tests are super long-- I didn't have time to finish one of them. But they are not hard, and she grades generously.

Homework is key to success in this class. The professor rightly points this out at the beginning of the semester. Completing the homework allows you to follow along with the lessons. With that said, she could afford to have a few MORE exams that cover a little less material. The exams were on the lengthy side. Very knowledgeable and helpful.

There's no reason to complain about her. She gives you a wealth of information and then tests you on it. She's nit-picky about formatting your financial statements so pay close attention to the $ and alignments. Other than that, she's great - super thorough.
