Dr. McMurray was one of the best professors I have ever had. Her passion for physiological psychology really showed through her teaching. She was extremely committed on making sure everyone understood the material. I definitely recommend her!

Absolutely phenomomenal! My favorite professor of all time (and I'm a senior)! Cares so much about her students and has such a passion for Psychology that you can't help but get drawn in! She is ALWAYS accessible to her students and will go above and beyond to make sure you understand the material. I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR!

Best teacher in that school. Period. She was extremely helpful and really loved to teach. She wanted her students to succeed. All the answers to the tests were in the notes and class work and she basically tells you what questions she will be asking before hand. Such an easy class and a nice teacher. Take her class if you can. Easy A.

Took physiological and research methods with her. The best professor at UNLV! Has such a passion and absolutely strives to do anything for her students to get an A in the class. Take her if you can, even if the class sounds difficult, she will make it great.

Dr. McMurray is one of the best professors I've ever had the pleasure of being in class with. She was attentive, always available to help, and extremely interested in her studetns. I loved this class and found it pleasantly challenging - the tests weren't too bad, and the lab was fun for me. I only wish I could take more classes with her!

Took online, so easy! And she is the sweetest lady. Grade consists of 4 exams, research paper, weekly discussion postings, and powerpoint presentation of paper. She grades very easily, and I didn't crack open the textbook once! I think pretty much everyone got an A+. I learned a lot too, so I highly recommend this course and this professor.

I had her for cognitive psychology! I must say that her class is extremely easy and clear. Four exams, one paper, one powerpoint presentation. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs to take this class because there can't be a better professor teaching the course. she is simply amazing :)

Dr. McMurray is awesome. She made a difficult subject easy. She was always quick to respond if you had any questions (I took this class online). As long as you have the notes (make sure you fill in all of the blanks) you should get an A+. She was really nice too

& 416, both classes are similarly taught, she is awesome, really nice, easy to get in touch with, don't need the book, powerpoint slides which are also study guides, 4 exams, dissecting a sheeps brain, there's weekly discussion questions, a paper, for 416 there was a power point, sign in for attendance, easy classes.

Pound for pound, the best professor UNLV has. She is a gem. Makes a difficult upper division course easy to learn and understand. The sheep brain lab was a great educational tool. She is helpful and available to help her students. Our so called "grad. student" instructors can learn plenty from her on how to teach. Dr. McMurray rules!!

I took her during class during the summer. It is true, she is the best UNLV has. Amazing teaching skill. Extremely caring,considerate, and protective of her students. Excellent presentations. The previous comment was right on the money; the grad-student instructors should take her class so they can learn how to teach properly. Simply the best.

Very nice professor. Covers alot of material but tells you exactly what is on the exams. Study, show up for class, and you can get an A. Would not hesitate to take a class with her again.

I have taken 3 classes with her and I truly wish every instructor was as helpful and structured as she is! She is so organized, and always there to help her students. Summer, online... anything she teaches, take her!!!! She is absolutely amazing!

If you want an easy A look for further. Her exams are super easy, just watch the videos and fill in the blanks. On top of that all you need to do is post a few discussions. I spent about 20-30min per week on this online class. Take it online if you can, its a walk in the park, easy class, teacher is helpful and responds pretty quickly.

Dr. Mcmurray is very clear and very staight forward. She may be one of the nicest profs. at UNLV! She is always fun to listen to since she ans a nice sweet voice!

Amazing professor. She's so unbelievably encouraging of students it's almost weird at first. Easy tests as long as you study the material she tells you to. Group paper/presentation that she's extremely lenient on. Her only fault: she's almost too easy. Some will take advantage of that, but regardless, I'd easily recommend McMurray to anyone.

Dr. Mcmurray is soo cool. she has a sweet voice and very helpful. What is really great about her was that she does reviews after each chapter so we can conceptualize and understand the materail. At the end, she did an optional lecture about how to get into grad school. I loved it. a wealth of information. i would reccommend her to any student!

Wow I have never met a prof that cares so much for the students. She wants everyone to exceed. Also is extremely helpful answering questions about the actual working field of psychology and grad school. I wish she can be my life long mentor, that would be the shizzel!!!

Oh my goodness. If you hate reading the boring textbooks, listening to drawn out lectures, then you should take her class. She uses powerpoints that are clear and easy to follow. I took her in the summer and I have never been so happy to take a class. Easy A. She's a sweetheart and I recommend her to all. I WILL BE TAKING HER AGAIN!

This is the most amazing professor ever!!! She truly cares about the students and tries to teach according to what we NEED to know. She simplifies things and makes it a easy class that you still learn a lot in! I recommend her to everybody!

Hands down, the BEST professor at UNLV; she makes other profs look mediocre. She really cares for her students and wants them to succeed in every way. Lectures are interesting and tests are strictly off the fill-in-the-blank powerpoints. I'm taking 2 other classes with her next semester because she's that good. Have I mentioned how amazing she is?

I took this class online over the summer and it was very easy. Discussion posts and a weekly quiz was the entire grade. The quizzes come directly off of the powerpoints which is helpful. No book is required for this class.

Took her class online, summer of 2010. Professor McMurray is so sweet, I absolutely loved her. As long as your read her syllabus and follow her directions you CANNOT fail.

I absolutely LOVED her! I agree she is by far the best professor at UNLV I took her over the summer & I'm taking her again. Easy tests, makes material interesting & only focuses on what you truly need to know. No textbook needed!

One of the best professors I have ever had...ever. She is beyond caring, professional, and more passionate than you have every seen. I had her for 403 and currently taking her for 240. All she wants is for her students to succeed. I feel honored to have taken her. The material in Physio isn't exactly easy but if you study, you can get an A!

I took this class online, and I am happy I took it with this professor. She is super nice and had real interest in students doing good in her class. No book was required.

Excellent class! This professor is extremely helpful and very clear on the assignments and tests. No text book is required, although you can purchase it if you wish. I managed the entire class without it and did fine. Highly recommend this teacher, she is really nice and made reseaching papers easy to understand and accomplish!

This was my first online course and it definitely has encouraged me to take more. Even though the lectures can feel disconnected because they are prerecorded, Dr. McMurray's explanations are crystal clear. Discussion questions can be a pain but they are easy points and exams are all multiple choice and straight from lecture. Impossible to fail.

Took Online class, extremely easy, everything on test is from word from the power point presentations she gives you. You must watch video lectures to get fill in's for the notes. No essays or hw, only weekly discussions. Probably the easiest class I have ever taken.

Online Class. Very well defined course objectives and outlines material that will be graded. This is the BEST instructor to take Research Methods as an online class. She is friendly, organized, helpful and clear. The assignments are deceptively easy...by the end of each one you have actually learned crucial information. A+ instructor!!!

Absolutely the nicest human on the planet. Doesn't make you buy the book, genuinely cares about her students. Straightforward exam questions / assignments. I've taken her for 2 classes, this one and research methods... I wish she could teach all my classes!

Online.Dr. M is one of the best professors at UNLV!Discussions were not out of control with gramatical & spelling errors since she provides clear agenda.Tests are not tricky & audio lectures are a great source for learning.If you must take this class, you must take Dr.M do not take anyone else @ UNLV!I learned the hard way.

Oh, she is just a darling! She knows exactly what you should be learning in class and makes it her duty that everyone understands the concepts and information. Extremely helpful and SO NICE. PowerPoints are organized, tests are straightforward, she is very clear, and will always clarify if you ask questions. Loves discussions. Great course!

As mentioned in many of the previous reviews, Dr. M is a professor that truly cares about her students' success. Understanding physio psych can be intimidating because of its nature [a lot of technical jargon] but she makes the material understandable. She is definitely a professor I would recommend to psych. majors and those alike.

You do not need the textbook for her online course AT ALL. She is clear, information is accessible through her lectures and tests represent what she taught you. Do the work, get an A.

Super easy class. I took her for PSY 240 and so glad I did it online. Quick and concise lectures that you can listen to (instead of gazing at powerpoints aimlessly). Super easy tests with no tricks. Professor was so nice and genuine.

Love her! I had her in majority of my psy classes. You read off of power points and no books. Her test are easy and off powerpoint slides. Discussions are super short. Passed all of her classes with A's by far the best teacher at UNLV.

Took online summer class. Worked off of powerpoint slides - tests were based on these. Weekly discussions: 1 post and 6 responses to other posts. Not a very difficult class. Professor is very helpful, nice, and clear about what she wants from you. Enjoyed this class very much!

Great teacher! Very sweet and cares about your development as a student. Going to class is necessary to get the fill-in-the-blanks from her slides, which is what the tests are on, but she lets out 30-45 minutes early every day. The only thing I don't like is that the class is not engaging, but it IS research methods, so it's not her fault.

One of the most genuinely caring professors EVER! Take her class. Tests are short and fair. No big writing assignments - a short discussion question every other week... easy to write and fair grading. She's always willing to help and always a positive attitude - she loves what she does; and it shows!

Online Class with Audio Lectures! I would recommend actually listening and paying attention to the online lectures, while taking down some side notes. Discussion is pretty easy, and 6 posts are necessary as well. Usually both lecture, discussion and posts take about 2 hours total per week. Not bad at all! Tests are simple!

very easy and interesting class (took online). Everything is well organized and all due dates and assignments are very clear. I invested maybe 2 hours a week in the class and got an easy A. HIghly recommend to anyone with a full course load.

Weekly discussions where you submit a 500 word post and make 6 comments on others' posts. Quiz every 3 chapters, which covers material in the lectures only (don't need book!). No formal midterm/final, only the quizzes. Learned lot, actually. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Dr. McMurray is the nicest human being you will ever come across. It's impossible not to like her! She comes to class prepared and ready to teach! Two tests and a group paper. Attendance is mandatory but she keeps class entertaining. Easy grade if you pay attention. I'm taking another class with her next semester! Definitely recommend Dr. McMurray!

Boring class, but VERY nice teacher. I think it's impossible to see this lady with a frown on her face. Very helpful and wants everyone to succeed in their academic careers. 8-10 pg. paper, presentation, 2 exams, that's it. Class is very easy, but attendance is required. Take her!

Dr M is very helpful. She doesn't want anyone to fail her class so her lectures, explanations, and requirements are very clear and helpful. She gives a study guide for both the midterm and final exam. Definitely an A+++ professor!

Having taken Research Methods in Spring 2014 (sorry, forgot which class), it was a tough course, but Mrs. McMurray was really just the sweetest lady! She went out of her way to explain things, wasn't a helicopter professor in the slightest, and always answered any e-mails I sent her within the day. Always punctual, and always with a smile.

This Teacher IS WONDERFUL!!! Her class is very easy and she is incredibly nice. You have 4 exams that are based on powerpoint lectures that are all online and she provides review sections that are in the powerpoints to help lessen your study load. There is one paper that is on any subject and a presentation on your paper. TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

Janice is a great teacher. Her material is very clear and to the point, she doesn't try to trick you or teach you info that is irrelevant. Tests are straight from powerpoints. 4 tests total, a presentation, and an 8 page paper. Her class was worth attending because she keeps the material short and simple.

She is literally the nicest "person" I have ever met in my life; she is extremely helpful, nice, and an easy grader. She wants all her students will pass, and will do whatever it takes to do so. HIGHLY recommend her, 1010.

I've never had such an optimistic and inspirational teacherprofessor, she genuinely wants the best for each and every one of her students, and will even go out of her way to help you when you need it. As for her class, it's definitely challenging considering that it's a 1st year seminar class, but it's, with no doubt, worth the extra work!

Dr. McMurray is great! The class as a whole is mandated by UNLV to supposedly increase retention rates at the freshman level, so as you can imagine, the content of the required book is pretty dry. Dr. McMurray admitted this, and made the course as painless as possible. Her grading is clear and fair. She is a joy and really cares about her students!

I love McMurray! She's such a sweet lady who actually cares about her students. However, her lectures are boring and I didn't really learn anything from them. For the tests, I just memorized from the study guides, which are basically the exact test. I never used the book. Attendance is mandatory. Two group projects.

Dr. McMurrary is a sweetheart. She honestly cares about her students and if you get a good grade or not. 1 group project was doing a research paper with 5 other people. That sucked! 4 in class group assignments, they were easy. And 5 cumulative chapter exams.

I absolutely love Dr. Mcmurrary! It is actually pretty interesting to listen to her lectures. This class has four exams, and one group project towards the end of the semester. I recommend using the study guides for the exams and then adding what isn't on there from the lecture because there is often info that is not in the study guide on the exams.

Dr. McMurray is great! Four non-cumulative exams including the final (super easy, just look at her study guide), one 15 min student led discussion with a partner, and one presentation with a group. No homework! The lectures can get a bit boring, but the topics are fascinating. Attendance IS mandatory, but you can have unlimited excused absences.

Second class with Dr. M. and I am still equally impressed and content with her teaching. She is effective and diligent in her methods. You'll be glad you took her class.

Professor McMurray is a wonderful professor, very helpful and she's so caring. There was 2 group presentations (one was 15-20mins, the other was 25-30 mins), 4 exams and attendance does matter. She is always willing to help her students out, please take her if you can!!

SO sweet! Super easy grader for presentations. Literally gives us the exam as our study guide, just mixes up the question order. Memorize the study guide and you'll pass. Attendance counts for points but honestly you do not even have to read the text. Just need to be able to find answers from the PPT's to answer the study guide! LOVE JANICE!

Dr. McMurray is the best professor at UNLV. She takes her time putting together great lectures that keep you intrigued in what you are learning. She also takes her time to make sure that each student does well in the class and is comfortable in the class. Not too much work. Front heavy. 4 exams, 2 presentations, and minor participation in class.

This class was so amazing! Professor McMurray was so sweet! Her lectures are fantastic her PowerPoint notes are filled with everything you need for the exams! Her instructions are clear, she answers emails right away, her discussions were great! Keep in mind her quiz and exams are tough when it comes to time. Overall great class! Also no textbook!
