GREAT teacher!! Quick to respond when you have questions and very understanding. I really enjoyed her class. Her class is set up project wise and is a fun way to go through a class and learn. I really enjoyed this class and this teacher. I would highly recommend both!

If you are taking online classes, I would highly recommend taking this teacher. The instructor is very well prepared for online classes and answers all questions promptly. The projects can even be exciting. The whole class is project based for one week for every project. Simply complete all of the projects and an "A" grade awaits for you.

IM not sure of the textbook we used but this class was fun and the teacher was cool. I would rather be ded by the sections of the project then average those grades to get my final project grade but to each his own. I also flet that some of the comments made me feel like she may be a kindergarten teacher. They were really kiddy.

This professor provides a tough course if you (Intro Educational Technology)if you are a novice as I was. I spent every waking hour on this course but I learned alot of information that I will use. Would strongly recommend but this is not a "slide by" class - you have 10 projects with many subparts for each project. Professor was helpful.

Mrs. Thiel responed quickly to e-mails. I thought that this class would be hard to take online but she made it easy because everything was very organized. As long as you finish your assignments on time and completely there is no way you can't get an A.

I thought this course was pretty hard but still manageable. If you miss 1 weekly assignment you automatically drop 1 letter grade (no extensions). There were some pointless assignments but also plenty of fun projects (web page building, etc.). She replies to emails fast & provides great tutorials for tougher projects. Tough course, good instructor.

Though this project-based class is a lot of work, the assignments are interesting and the instructions and examples are clear. Dr. Thiel is very helpful with any questions and actually gives helpful feedback regarding your work. I've really enjoyed this class that I had no previous interest in.

Professor Thiel is a very good teacher, very knowledgeable and has plenty of information available for the students. A lot of work at least 8 hours a week, even the hard assigments she explains throughly, you do need to think but the work is capable of being done. work can be redone if it is turned in on time!! serous teacher and lots of work.

Dr. Thiel is very serious and smart, hence there is a Dr. in her title. Wake up and realize this is a college course. You're not in high school anymore.. It was very informative, fun, and at the same time difficult. Janece responds right away and is very helpful. I think if you want to learn some awesome technology, then sign up, she is great!

This class is not a cake walk! The assignments are long and tedious, BUT WORTH IT. If you really want to become a teacher these are the kind of assignments that you will remember when you need them. Thiel answers email quickly and gives feedback. She is strict and unforgiving, but she gives it to you straight and says "here's an A, now work for it"

She includes video instruction which I found very helpful. She is strict, but encouraging.

I had this teacher online. She is very hands on in this class which is nice as it is a technology class. If you aren't in education, you shouldn't be in this class. A lot of the technology is outdated.. I was hoping to focus on new stuff, but I've learned a few things that will be helpful in my educational career. She is a quick grader (nxt day)

Overall a very nice teacher that provides the information clearly and precisely (for her online course). Only negative I could say is I feel as if most of the work is just "busy work" and nothing all too serious, but that is not her fault. MAKE SURE YOU EMAIL HER WHEN YOUR DONE WITH PROJECTS! I missed the first one because I didn't do that. Read instructions twice and if you miss a project you go down a letter grade, I ended up with a C. She is very nice, and understanding on some levels, but don't take the course if you aren't interested in the subject.

Ok, I was not sure wato expect but fund this class pretty interesting. The professor is pretty cool. As long as you attempt to complete the assignments she will give you the oppertunity to revise them. She also lets you kow what the expectations she is looking for on the revision. Awesome! I am taking this course online, you do work hard, but all the tools are provided for you to easily succeed. She is extremely clear and helpful! I was amazed at the things I was able to accomplish. Anyone requiring this course MUST take Professor Thiel's class! Her response time and grading is almost immediate!

She was very helpful and understanding. But with that came the ridiculous amount of busy she gave us. I mean seriously 5 part assignments. Some of them were fun like making a website, or learning to use mail merge. I would take her again as a teacher, but keep in mind lots of WORK.

Professor Thiel is awesome! The assigments are well posted and very clear instructions. Her response time in grading is usually same day or next day at the latest. She gives you additional time to revise any mistakes in your work. She genuinely wants you to succeed. I have learnt SO much in this class. It is alot of work, but well worth it.

Took online over summer. If you get anything less than an "A" you're an idiot. Weekly test that is not timed and is open book. Easy weekly board work. No mid or final. The weekly work is fun. Make your own website, webpage, and easy book work. LOVED this class. Learned a great deal. Prof is quick to email back and communicates well.

This was a tough but great class. I was very intimidated at the beginning of the class however Dr. Thiel made this an interesting and enjoyable class. Lots of work, well worth the knowledge I gained.

Great online course! There is alot of work but if you complete it on time and are thorough you should have no trouble getting an A. Great professor! Transferred from a state institution where I failed this course and was able to get through this course easier. Everything is laid out for you and allows you to gain more hands on "real" experience to prepare you for the classroom. Greatly enjoyed this class!

Prof offers challenging assignments but I found most to be fun. She's fair and answers emails quickly. I found that as illiterate as I am when it comes to the technology she made it easy to learn. Mrs. Thiel's introduction to teachnology for education class is awesome! I had alot of fun doing all of the work assigned and learned SO MUCH. It was relatively easy, very easy to understand directions and she was very helpful if needed and answered emails quickly, & she graded assignments the day they were due so you could see what grade you have

I've been at SPC for 3 + years. This is my favorite class, I learned so much that I will be able to use in the real world. Professor Thiel- everything a teacher is supposed to be, she makes learning fun, her assignments make you look forward to doing them. It's only hard if you don't do the work, but why wouldn't you! Taking a computer class online if you know nothing about computers is not going to be easy. I know, trust me! HOWEVER she does the best job I've seen so far at explaining it, and she grades kindly. I dropped an online Web Design class that was a DISASTER, but with Thiel's Educational Technology class I actually understood the exact same material!

The course work was relevant and provided useful information I can apply to teaching and in my personal life for my children. The coursework was not hard but did require creativity and critical thinking skills. The professor responded quickly and provided thoughtful feedback. All course work was given weekly, so I could not work too far ahead.

Pretty easy class. Most of it is common sense so seemed redundant at times. The teacher was very, very nice and she did a great job explaining everything. Plenty of extra credit opportunities!

Learned a lot in this class. Quick and good grader. Took express online and passed with an A. Weekly assignments and quizzes but no tests. Total you would spend each week is about 2-3 hours. As long as you actually do the work, you will definitely pass.

This Professor is very professional and is eager to help. She is very understanding, although you have to let her know. The quizzes are simple but you do need to read the chapters in order to get a good grade. I would recommend Mrs. Thiel to anyone who needs to take this class.

The only negative I have for Prof. Thiel, is that she does not respond in a timely manner. Other than that, this was an easy class.

She gives a lot of homework within a week. She clearly cares about your success and wants you to succeed. She sends many emails with help and reminders that she is there for any questions. She also sends reminders if you miss any assignments and lets you turn them in late for credit. Very nice professor.

Professor Thiel is a great, and wants you to succeed. As long as you follow and do exactly what she asks for you will get 100. Read the chapters assigned because all the answers to quizzes are straight from there. She will give more time to submit work if needed. Midterm and final are open book.

I took this course online and Professor Thiel's communication is very open. She responds to emails very quickly. What I also loved about her is she is quick with grading. Every week we had about 2 open book quizzes and 1-2 short essays or discussions posts that were due. The final and midterm exams were all open book. Overall great course!

Suuuuuper easy class. You can work ahead. Finished the entire class in 3 weeks. This allowed me to focus on my more difficult classes. Also, online access to material was included with the tuition of the class. There was nothing additional to buy which was a PLUS!

I had professor Thiel for computer applications. She was absolutely awesome! Class was organized and made sense. Nothing was too hard hard. You have plenty of time to complete assignments you just need to actually do the work. You get a textbook online and that is where the assignments are. I really enjoyed this course.

This professor was Great, gives extra 25 pts in extra credit! There's 6 different sections using SimBooks and a few projects that have easy step by step guides. There are discussion post for each section but simple. Great communicator very engaging for an online class. If you wanted I think you could probably finish this course within a week.

Get ready to write! Assignments and discussions have step by step instructions. If you do the work you will not get anything less than an A. Also there are multiple options for extra credit.

Took this class online during the summer. The textbook is an online interactive book through MyCourses. The simulations give you easy points while you learn, and then you have at least 1-2 projects for Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint and then a short discussion post for each and you have to respond to at least 1 other students post. No tests!

Not a hard class, but you do have to participate. Discussion and online homework heavy, but you will learn new information. "Quizes" online are not difficult. The most stressful assignment will be the projects. Not because they are difficult, but because of the time they take. Professor is kind and accessible! Extra credit! I recommend this class.

Professor Thiel is a caring teacher, and I felt the class is more about helping the students learn important ethical principles as opposed to meaningless memorization like in some classes. Predictable schedule. Course guidance is clear, with plenty of extra credit opportunities. Difficult to get extra credit while working full time.

Really good professor, homework are due every Tuesday-one paper or discussion and one quiz about the textbook. As an international student I can have some difficulties but she was really understanding and gave me the opportunity to succeed.

No midterm or Final exam just a few projects (3 trys each) using Powerpoint, word, and excel. Pretty EASY there is help available in textbook for projects as well as youtube. SIMnet is used for hw pretty self explanatory. Professor gives a good feedback and will help/answer any concerns in a timely manner! Free Microsoft 365 from SPC works well!

A great professor who cares about students passing the class. She has a few extra credit assignments which helped a lot and is very responsive. The class is incredibly easy if you ever worked with Microsoft Office, just make sure to finish the assignments weekly and don't procrastinate. No midterm or final either!

Great class and professor. I printed out the schedule that is given at the beginning of class and it helps to stay on track and finish assignments on time. I was able to work ahead which was great given I had three other classes in the the eight weeks. I learned new skills using Microsoft, PowerPoint, and Excel. Highly recommend this class.

I found this course to be extremely easy if you were willing to read. It did not require any skill of talent, only time. I am extremely un techy, and i passed this course easily. Everything the professor had to personally grade was given a 100%, and it was not had to do well on everything else.

Easy course and with multiple attempts on every assignment; Professor was responsive to emails. Only complaint I have is that the professor did not set up her canvas page in a clear way. Canvas assignments did not have due dates and no organization into what "week" they were a part of. Professor also offered extra-credit at the end. Easy-A course!

The assigned materials had a consistent pattern; it's great for full-time workers or people who struggle with time management. The discussion questions prompts for discussions were clear.
