Very fun, cool teacher. All her quizes and exams are solemnly based on her notes. Study them and pay attention in class and your most likely to succeed.

Easy!!! All you need to do is study the notes, which she does power point so u dont really have to pay attention. I could have got an A but I slacked off alot in Lab. No hmwk, only current events.

Very nice lady. Hands out notes. Tests are relatively easy. Requires a little bit of studying though. Very possible to get an A although most people in the class tend to get B's and C's for some reason. She's also very organized as well as a cute.

What a great instructor for a change. She really works hard helping students pass the class. Easy to talk to. Always there to answer questions. Never makes you feel like you are bothering her when asking questions. Will keep explaining until you get it. Study the notes in the handouts and you will get an A. Her Lab's are really fun.

Her class is very easy. It's mostly taking notes off of a powerpoint. You mainly have to study right before each test. Her class consists of about 5 exams, a field trip, a powerpoint presentation, and a final. Most of which is very easy but it is understandible why people fail. However she's willing to help you via email or in her office.

She is awesome. Everything is in the notes that she gives you on powerpoint. She loves when you ask questions. Her tests are way easy. She drops your lowest score on tests and quizzes. She is super nice and really easy to get along with. I totally recommend her.

You will be lucky if you can make it into one of her classes. She makes everything soooo easy to understand. Just make sure you are there for lab because those points add up. Also make sure you study for the quizzes because those are easy points. The tests are right out of the outlines she passes out. She is ready to answer any question you have.

I took this teacher in summer school very intense, very fair enjoyed the class everything is to be studied on the outline she gives and watch a lot of videos I strongly suggest her I had fun in this in class ..

Very good teacher. Easy class and you still learn. All you do is copy notes onto the outline she provides and study. Test and quizzes are easy. An easy A.

I don't see what the others are whining about. She was a pretty good teacher. There is a lot of info to remember, and you actually need to pay attention and study. If you not, then this class may be a bit hard. She gives you packets for lecture. Use the essay part as your study guide, and you should be fine. Got a B with half the effort needed.

janine for lab was an oeasy class, i really liked it, its just that the pacticums are hard if you DONT study. so STUDY and you'll do good, class is easy.

She is such a great professor! She practically gives you everything you need for the tests. She is incredibly helpful and willing to work things out for you. She seriously dumbs down bio so that non-biol major like myself can understand and PASS! She has such a cute personality and always enthusiastic! You have to take her!

Janine is so Awesome! I loved her class! She was very helpful in lab. The field trips were fun and it is mandatory to attend the field trips in order to pass the class. She is very laid back and a very cool person. I highly recommend her for lecture and lab.

Had her for General Bio. Her lectures are all PP, and all very clear. She has a cute voice sometimes and shes a kind of a cutie! No HW, hands out fill-in packets that go along lecture. Exams are all on the packet, so you have all the answers! Text book not needed. Pay attention to lecture and just study the answers to the essay questions.Fun n easy

Loved her class. She has a really sweet voice. Marine bio is fun. Janine gives you an outline which will prepare you for her exams. You go over the outline in class during lecture, but you are expected to do some of the work yourself at home. It is important because you have a quiz every monday. Study hard, because you will be going over a lot.

She is very clear about what will be on her tests and quizzes. All students receive a copy of the notes with fill in the blanks and a copy of the essay questions that will on the exam. there are a few projects over the semester that are designed to bring up your grade.

Recommended. She gives you copies of the lectures so you can take notes and have the slides in front of you. Makes the class interesting and she's really nice. Textbook use is minimal. Most info on lecture notes.

I loved this class! I actually decided to major in marine biology while taking this class. The practicums and quizzes are not too bad as long as you complete the lab manual... and be sure to use her power points on her website they were so helpful!

Kido is a good teacher and class is pretty simple. Students are given a lecture outline on all chapters and exams come directly from outlines. Just study and you should do fine.

Bio is hard so studying is a must. She's very helpful. Has 4 exams, drops the lowest, quiz every lab and drops the 2 lowest for that.

Probably the best teacher I've taken at Sac so far. Super clear lectures, prints out notes for you with the exception of a few parts which you fill in, but this helps to make you pay attention. Honestly can't get more simple then this. Quizzes every other lecture class, lab quiz every lab. Gives study guide for exams which make it easy to study.

Kido is a great professor! She explains clearly and gives plenty of handouts to do! The reading and material is very detailed! Not a hard class but not too easy either. Make sure you put the time in reading and lectures! Take her if you want to learn but slackers are a no no in this class!

Out of 30 or so Professors I had at MtSAC, Kido was one of the best. She handles her classes like a good prof. should! Take her sections of classes you need and you'll agree. Tip: Know all the possible essay questions for exams well because the ones that aren't picked are often divided up in the multiple choice Q's.

Awesome teacher! If you're interested in taking Marine Bio, take her! She is very helpful with everything and not to mention extremely nice. Everything you go over in class is on the exam. Never wanted to miss a class so I didn't because I enjoyed learning everything she taught.

Wow she is probably the best professor I have had at Mt.Sac. This class requires alot of studying to get an A. In my class there were only about 5 A's out of about 30 students, not to mention all of those that drop the class. However, if your determined to get an A you will. She made me enjoy bio so much that I'm changing my major lol. Recommended!

Janine was a great biology teacher. I enjoyed being in her class so much I switched my major to biology. The tests are not hard if you pay attention and follow the study guides she gives you at the beginning of each section. She is very helpful and clearly loves her job.

I HIGHLY recommend taking this class taught by Janine. She explains things very clearly and really seems to care about her students. She gives a study packet and essay questions for each exam. As long as you come to class, do the readings, and review the study packet you will succeed in this class.

She is one of my favorite professors that I've ever taken in Mt.Sac. She gives out study guides for each exam and quizzes are given weekly. I would not recommend this class if you can't arrive on time (8am). Lateness will greatly hurt your quiz results which ultimately hurts your final grade. Overall, she is quite easy as long as you study!

I had a great experience with Janine. She's very clear, helpful and interesting. Uses a lot of visuals such as movies and videos to help us learn. Quizzes every Tuesday, 3 current event assignments plus one extra credit. I would HIGHLY recommend taking her.

Easiest professor ever! Not only does she PRINT everything out for you, you do the notes to your tests alongside her when she is lecturing by powerpoint. Seriously spoon fed the content... I opened the book once for the finals. Got a B in the class and I didn't take one of the tests!

Class is very straightforward and the professor is nice. You will need to bring your lab manual to class. Lots of field trips (4-5 I think). Tests are exactly what you learned in lab no surprises. As long as you do your lab reports and show up to class you will get at least a B.

Mrs. Kido was one of the best teachers I have ever taken at Mtsac. She gives study guides and provides outline of the tests. Her tests are easy if you study them. There are quizzes every week and every lab, only 10-15 pts nothing hard. If you are going to take Bio1 or Marine Bio (bio20) she is professor to take.

Janine is aweosme. She has a real passion for science and she makes it evident. You'll take a quiz every week in lecture as well as lab. Tests aren't too bad if you study. One thing, though, is you pretty much read half of the course out of the book or watch videos online. Pretty interesting stuff, though. If you're taking Bio1, take it with her.

I have always hated Bio, but this class was interesting and Kido made it so easy to understand. Barely any hw, easy quiz every week, tests aren't bad she tells you everything that on them. Prof. Kiddo is an amazing person and great prof. Her class was well organized and conducive to learning. She goes above and beyond and provides every possible avenue for success. She was great. She gives packets and make things simple for you to understand. Lab was fun with her as well. Test were all multiple choice with a few essay questions. She gives you essay(about 4)questions before tests so you can find the answers. Just memorize and study them.

Easily one of the best professors. Always helpful with print outs, just do the work (which there isnt much of) and show up. Going on the field trips with her basically lands you an A on the reports since she explains everything. She also drops lowest quiz and test score.

I took her marine lecture class in Spring. It was hard at the beginning but it will eventually get easier. She prepares worksheets which some will be covered in class and some you have to do it on your own. The exams and final are based on the worksheets she gives us. Basically you will get an A if you go to class, do homework, and study.

Kido was a great choice for my lab credit! I took her for lab only and it was easy and fun. Memorize all the taxonomy (which isnt a lot)&youll pass. She provides practice quizzes on her website and updates your grade there. She drops the lowest quiz, out of 10 quizzes. You get 4 exams. The labs are so much and easy,&you interact with new people.

Janine is wonderful! Class is always engaging and interesting, and her lectures are clear and detailed, easy to understand. Great professor! She prints out the lecture for you which is very straightforward. Every lecture there are quizzes and the day of lab. Study guides are given except on the lab final. If you want an A be sure to study the printed lecture notes 3 weeks beforehand and know the packet inside and out. And she drops the lowest quiz!

Professor Kido is by far my most favorite professor I had at Mt. Sac and I'm not a science major! She's really caring and understands things happen outside of life that we can't control. Her lectures are incredibly clear and she has a lot of supporting files/slides on powerpoint that can help you get that A+! I didn't get an A+ due to my work ethic

I took Mrs Kido online, made me feel like i was in high school again. She gives you detailed study guides /outlines, you watch recorded lecture videos and a few assignment videos and she gives you a week to complete it. She will work with you no matter what! I took professor Kido for BIOL 21 and loved her so much! She was very easy to understand and her lectures were easy to follow. She gives quizzes in each class! She gave exams called practicals where you're tested on lab skills and material, and she posts a study guide that has the same exact questions on the exams. Prepare to go on field trips!

Taking this class for Fall 2024. Currently, I am enjoying it so much. It is literally impossible to fail. She's very understanding. Labs are fun/interesting! Professor Kido was a really great professor for my bio 1 class. There was plenty of extra credit and you were given a week to do all of your work. As long as you study and watch the lecture videos (because I took the hybrid class), you will get your A. I would definitely recommend taking this class.

Easily my favorite class in the Spring semester. Honestly, this is one of the easiest science class + lab and Kido literally made that way with her exam outlines. It's not hard to watch the videos (I used x2 speed) and writing them down on the outline and the labs were pretty fun and helps understand what is going on in lecture.

Hybrid class, almost impossible not to get an A(unless if you miss alot or dont follow her lecture videos). Some ppl got caught using AI for lecture exams and got zeros,so beware. Trust me, this is THE PROFESSOR to get for a manageable GE bio course, jus do the work(provides resources to help u). Final prof rating 9.5/10, final class rating 10/10

Professor Kido is very kind, I took her online marine bio lecture course. Everything is super stright forward her outlines are allowed to be used on exams im also taking lab for marine bio at the same time and it can be a little much for certain lectures but as long as you take your time and fill out your outlines correctly you will do great.

The hybrid format was very manageable with weekly lecture videos and short lab and lecture quizzes. Everything was fair, and if you stay on track it's hard not to get an A.
