If you take her class you will be treated like a highschool student and not allowed to get up and use the bathroom. She is a very moody person.

This is the most horrible class I've ever taken in my life. I'm not so good @ math in the first place, and this class was soooo unclear.

Some people just ARENT good in math, and if that is you DONT take Todd. She is not helpful at all and would honestly rather help you fail than anything! How she got a job at CU is beyond me, but she apparently is mad at the world!!!!!!

Wow..umm...yeah. All I have to say is she doesn't seem to teach very well at all. Entire class failed the second test. And ...umm..how can I put this nicely....she's (in K-5 language) ...a big meanie. She seems short tempered when asked questions or corrected for her constant mistakes.

Woo... Do NOT take Todd. She gets angry when someone needs to go potty... She confuses the crap out of everyone... She should have been put out to pasture a long time ago but, for some reason is still allowed to torture students with her elementary school teacher mentally. Be afraid! Be very afraid!

I had this woman for algebra. I got a D!!! Bear in mind, I had 5 years of math in h.s., and got A's. I got the D because I quickly grew to hate this woman. Every negative thing said here about her is true. Here's the kicker.. I had her for Fall semester, 1980!!! Things never change.

If you can help it do not take this class with Todd... her notes are confusing, and there is always stuff on tests that she never went over. She is also very mean in class, out of class she is okay, but if you have her i wouldn't ask any questions, and she is really to the book about food, drink, cell phones, and talking in her class.

Regarding the review below where I had 5 years of high school math.. that simply means that I had 5 "year-long" math classes.. algebra 1 & 2, geometry, analysis, and calculus. That's often referred to as having 5 years of math. So don't be a jerk. I'm just trying to help by pointing out how todd apparently hasn't changed in 26 years.

This class ruined my semester. Every...single...day. Everyone was too scared to talk. I don't know why I bothered doing all the hw, cause her tests would consist of 10 questions on one stupid thing, despite the fact that we met every day of the week. I've never been as relieved as when I finished that final!

Never ever take her as trig. All she does is write a whole bunch of equations on the board and expects you to understand them without explaination. And whats funny is, in the end she'll be like "Any questions?" And when you ask her questions she literally yells are you!!! This class was a waste of my time, where did Campbell get her??

The worst teacher on the planet. I thought I had the worst teacher in high school when he told me my mom he doesnt know how to teach the class. the sad thing is that mrs. todd is worse than him so if you want to make a decent grade dont take her. There are so many things I could say about this woman! She is a horrible teacher... she gets to the end of an example problems and has to start over because of a mistake she made in the beginning!!! I HATED this class and I will not take her for ANYTHING else I have to do in the remainder of my college career! If you are smart you will stay AWAY!!!

Terrible teacher. Doesn't give explanation. Doesn't want to help when you ask questions. The book she uses was written by a guy at a community college and is just as bad. Questions on the test are not what is covered in class. She makes tons of mistakes and says she is doing it to "test" us. Ugh. I"m dropping.

Stay away from Ms. Todd! She is not comprehendible and will confuse every student in the class room. Comes to class every day with a bad attitude. Do not take her if you can help it!

All I can say is make sure you are there on test day! I missed the first test because I was sick in the HOPSITAL!! I had a note from the ER doctor telling when I was there and what I was there for and NOT to go back to class for a certain number of days. RUN!! She takes something so simple and makes it incomprehensible. When she introduces new material I..along with the rest of the class..just sit there in complete confusion. So you say ask questions...yeah I do only to get a completely useless answer. Tests are impossible. You can prepare and study for hours but trust me. Its a waste of time.

Shes is horrible and useless. I'm not even a math major and I found myself correcting her almost everyday. /she is so bad that on days I missed class that I still had other students coming to me asking me if I understood it. If you get her or if you have her...DROP IT. It sucks.

i see that her teaching methods have not changed... i took her freshmen year at CU in 08... it was bad. everyone in the class was failing. she is not familiar with the subject. she gets us lost and crap. I wonder if the head of the department actually read our evaluations... im sure she would of been fired by now.

Ms. Todd was a horrible teacher. I had her the first semester that i came here and really wish that i wouldve looked at her ratings before i took her. She failed me and i still to this day dont know why. i did all my work but she just had no sense of teaching at all and dont need to teach her at CU anymore.

Mrs. Todd does not even attempt to explain theorems, she just reads them and writes them on the board, then jumps right into doing problems. She also makes multiple mistakes daily and does not catch them. In a class of about 20 people, 5 people made a 75 or above on the last test. Todd is a terrible teacher. While the material is really easy, sitting through an hour and a half of her making mistakes, while attempting to teach, is painful. If anyone has a question she explains it in the most asinine way possible.

She is the worst teaer Ive ever seen. She is hard to understand. She does not teach well. She hardly makes any sence when she speaks. And you wont pass the class unless you have prior knowledge of Calc. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

The subject/class was super easy but she is a terrible teacher. She is monotonous, boring, and hardly does any actual teaching. Teach the math to yourself from your book, do your homework and you will be fine.

Run away is right-or ruin your GPA! My daughter is super smart, constantly went to office hours with Ms. Todd, constantly studied, and still made a C in this course. Ms. Todd has taught 40 years and cannot communicate/teach her subject to her students. My daughter knows math, but COULD NOT, no matter how hard she tried, succeed in this class.

Janis Todd is a pathetic excuse for a teacher, as the majority of review on here indicate. I had to teach myself through MyStatLab the entire semester; I got absolutely nothing from her lectures. Her typical lectures consist of reading off printed out notes and immediately going into solving a problem without explaining what we're doing.

Dropped this class about midway through the semester due to bad "teaching" (if you can call it that), poor attitude, and unclear instructions from instructor. I read the reviews on this site before taking this class with hopes I could suffer through it. Big mistake. She isn't knowledgeable on the material and often makes errors while doing examples

Nice and helpful in office hours, totally different in lecture. Never explains anything, expects you to know, reads off of a worksheet she gives you. Thankfully her tests are multiple choice. After practicing problems on math lab for 4 hours the night before the test, i was able to make a B. teach yourself if you want to pass.

My final brought me down 10 points in the class. She would also kick everyone out of class if someone was talking and then still test us on the material that she didn't teach us.

Class is boring, she break everything down to pieces, but she makes mistakes a lot. You have to learn yourself, don't depend on her.

Teach yourself. She doesn't contribute to helping you better understand the content. Looks at you as if you don't have any sense, and belittles you if you have questions. She's very difficult to talk with. Very irritable. Loves to drag class on as long as possible. Gave a quiz where half the questions had no answer choice. Terrible professor.

Had her for a second semester, and no different from before. She gets disrespectful when she has the opportunity, and likes to be petty to students who ask questions or don't have materials. Often gets answers wrong and doesn't explain work well. Stalls class time frequently. Math Lab is your best friend, or even google.

Teach yourself the material! When she goes over problems are answers were wrong MOST of the time! Her test didn't even have the right answer choices. Math lab will save your grade. DON'T take her!!!

The worst professor at Campbell. Extremely rude, passive aggressive, and petty. Once called a student stupid for asking a question about a new topic. Often times on tests, or on in-class examples, answer choices would be wrong. Doesn't teach material well, and acts as if she could not care less about the subject. Stat lab will save your grade.

Good luck. There are many moments where problems are written incorrectly. My Math Lab and the internet have taught me more than the professor. The only grades you receive are Math Lab, Tests, and that's it. If you're able to understand the material, maybe you can get by with a passing grade.

HORRIBLE teacher! If I did not take a very similar course to this one in high school I would be completely lost. She does not know how to teach AT ALL and gets HER OWN problems wrong more often than you may think. If you can avoid having her as a teacher, do it!
