Cool guy. Easy to learn from. Math is not my gig, but with Jared it was somehow. Looks you in the eye and keeps you interested. Is he Mormon?

Great instructor, very helpful. He really wants to make sure everyone understands the material. Doesn't make anyone feel stupid for asking questions. Makes the material easy to follow and does plenty of examples. HOT!!!!

Statistics. HE is a very good professor, explains himself very well. I took him in summer school and it sounds like he takes it easiar on summer school! Tests are easy if you know the material and do the homework. He is helpful and very nice.

Jared Burch was one of my favorite professors ever! I hated math going into his class, but his statistics class ended up being one of my favorite classes. If you do the homework you will do well in his class. This is the class to take if you need to get a math requirement out of the way.

jared burch. super cool teacher. i had him for Math 75 and Math 76. he lectures very well. he is a fair grader and often offers extra credit. all of the tests are take home except for the mid-term and final, but they are just like the tests. he doesn't care if you work with others in the math lab on the tests. definitely take him.

His class is the same everyday so you get bored really easy but he is a really great teacher. he makes sure you understand what he is teaching and he rarely misses a day.

mr.burch is a godsend. he is one of the best math teachers i have had. he is funny, nice, sympathetic, and helpful. I recommend him to anyone who has difficulty in this subject. he will do his best to help you succeed.

This is an awesome teacher. I tried to take this class 2x before by two different instructors & I could not grasp the material. Now, my grades a higher (from a C-D to an A-B) & I understand the material. His teaching methods are organized & very clear. The tips & tricks on formulas are a tremendous help. I definitely recommend him as a teacher

FORGET THE REST..CAUSE BURCH IS THE BEST. No really you want to learn stats, the topics are hard but he makes it to the point where its a piece of cake. Not everything in life is easy, but when you have a teacher willing to help you at all times of the day, it becomes easy.

Math is by far my weakest subject. I was really pleased with his teaching and this is probably the first A in math I have ever received. He is a rather funny guy, really breaks things down so you can understand them, and is always open to questions.

Honestly one of the best teachers out there!! He is willing to help Anyone who wants to be helped hes Always finding ways for his students to understand the material. He DROPS 4 HW and ONE QUIZ At the end of the class. He also reopens the quizzes as studyguide for the final. Which is very useful if your grade is somewhat suffering!

This is the first time I ever got an A in a math class. Like with any class, you really should show up as much as you possibly can and take notes. He was a lot clearer than the book itself. He is more than willing to help you get a good grade, but you have to put in the effort. Uses MyMathLab, which helped me a lot.

Jared is amazing! I took him for stats. He broke everything down and made it super clear. He is always cracking jokes, and is quick to respond to emails. I emailed him a lot during thanksgiving break and he would reply to them from his phone! If you love professors who care about their students, then Jared is for you! :)

Great calculus instructor. He is very clear and helpful. His homework is online with many chances to submit an answer, so it makes it easy to ace the homework portion of his class. His tests are just the right level of difficulty, not too tough or easy. Highly recommended calculus teacher.

I was in his class every single day, kept up with hw, was highly motivated for an A but his test grading is tough. I got a B but that had nothing to do with his teaching. 1st, not a math person, Second, I am a nursing student so I've had my share of teachers. This teacher is clear, helpful and is the only on campus to hold a masters in Stats. He is knowledgeable, simplifies lectures to give you only what you need to know. Homework/quizes are online, very easy. Flexible teacher in grading. Got a high A, in summer.

Great stats teacher

I took this class in the summer after failing it three times. Mr. Burch is great at explaining thing and teaches you the fastest most helpful ways to solve the problems. Like I said I had already failed this class 3 times but after having him I think I can do this with my eyes closed.

Math has always been my week point and with this professor i felt so comfortable and intrigued. So clear and explains many different ways until you understand it. I hope to get him for all of my other math classes. All homework is on Math Lab and hes is very positive.

Mr. Burch is an amazing instructor! He is so kind and helpful, it made statistics a lot more enjoyable. Funny little jokes here and there, it can be kinda cute! The class itself is quite challenging, but it's not impossible to get an A. It definitely takes hard work and studying, to understand and get through the course. Lots of work on statcrunch.

You must pay attention in class! Stats was way easier for me compared to algebra. I was very nervous before starting stats because I thought I was going to have a hard time and would need to study everyday, but it was the opposite. Mr. Burch doesn't always cover how to do each hw problem, so you'll need to be okay with asking questions.

Great class! Grades harshly on tests, but those themselves are not too hard as long as you study. Almost everything is online. There will be a group project near the end of the semester, not too hard either. Clear teaching and a bit humorous too haha. Overall, seems to be an enjoyable class. I was lucky to pick his class by chance! Good luck ! :^)

Very confident in what he knows. Brings real life situations to the classroom so you can relate stats to your life day to day. Also very funny and easy to talk to. If he sees that you're really trying to do well in his class, he will do what he can to help you succeed.

Probably the best Math teacher I've ever had. He always took his time with every question asked in class, and he was able to communicate with students very well. His lectures were actually enjoyable and I would recommend him to anyone.

Professor Burch is great! He's hilarious. I honestly was worried about this class because it seemed so difficult, but if you attend class and take notes, you should do fine on the homework and tests. Definitely try to get 100% on the homework and quizzes online. Study the exam reviews and you'll do fine!

Pretty easy stats class. Students basically do most of the things on the computer. He shows you what you NEED to know and the basics and that's it. Most of the homework and tests are online.

I started falling behind after the mid-term. Personal matters took over and I ended up failing the class, but that was my fault. Burch is a great instructor and always responds to emails along with being available in his office most of the days. For being an online class, I would say to take all interactive readings and practice practice practice.

Calculus is hard. At the beginning of class he tells you so and to use every resource. He does a really good job of explaining things in a short amount of time but there's so much to learn. For this, class take it upon yourself to learn and use EVERY resource. Practice, practice, practice. Professor Burch will do his part. Good luck!

He's very clear in his lectures and tells you the types of things that are gonna be on the tests. Sometimes he'll throw in a problem that you haven't really covered in class/homework on the tests. He gives partial credit on test questions as long as you show your work. As long as you study a bit and do the online homework you can get a good grade.

Professor Burch makes Math interesting. His lectures are very clear and concise. I love that he also likes to try to entertain us and make us laugh. He is fair in his grading and is very accessible outside of class as well as in his support class. l really enjoyed taking Stats from Mr. Burch will look to take him again.

Mr. Burch was a great professor for Stats. I highly recommend AT LEAST doing the Interactive Assignment before the lecture he gives in class. It really helps having an idea on what he's talking about. He teaches in a way that makes everything make sense. Make sure to show up for reviews on the quizzes, they are super helpful. He is easy to reach!

Amazing professor and is ALWAYS helpful. Whenever I'd email with a question he'd always be quick to respond. This class isn't extremely hard - if you put in the work you will pass. Make sure to take good notes on the reviews and in class, it will help you on the midterm and final. Burch always made sure to make things as easy as possible; take him!

Professor Burch was the perfect choice for Calculus 2. Due to COVID, the class was online, so he held an optional zoom meeting once a week to go over topics, then homework was assigned. There is a lot of homework, but it is necessary to succeed in Calc. Overall, he was a great professor and I highly recommend him for anyone!

I took this course as an asynchronous online class and was incredibly impressed with both Professor Burch and the interactive course material. I hadn't taken a math class in years and was still able to earn an A! The homework allows instant feedback and allows you to retry the problems for credit until you master them. I highly recommend!

Professor Burch is great! I took his class online do the work and the class should be easy. He will respond almost immediately to emails with questions and is very helpful with the reviews!

Provides plenty of office hours and explains topics pretty well

Great structure of the class, took it during summer which is heavy in 4 weeks but doable. Homework daily on every chapter, 2 quizzes (review), 2 tests, & 1 small project. Homework is higher % & gives unlimited times to get 100%. Does drop 4 lowest scores, 1 attempt for quizzes & tests. Put in work & you'll pass.

Good professor and I think one of the things that set him back from being higher was probably due to the fact that his translation to online was hard. He is also definitely a tough grader and know your notation very well, or you won't get full credit on your show-your-work problems. He's still a really good professor nonetheless.

He is a great teacher! I took it in the summer which is packed into 4 weeks but doable. Do your homework, Homework is a higher percent and he gives you unlimited amount of times to get 100% on it. Professor Burch is one of the best Math teachers I have had period. The interactive assignments are not too hard so long as you use the statcrunch solution videos. In class, he provides excellent feedback for the lessons we do for that week and is always willing top provide context and extra help on a concept if you raise your hand. Super great guy

Lecture heavy. Clear about what will be on tests. Lots of practice homework. No feedback on homework. Calculus was a difficult subject for me; I cant blame that on the professor.

He is a great teacher, my best advice is to sit in the front row. There is no extra credit, however if you have any rounding errors on exams, he goes back and marks those as correct. Take the review tests multiple times, and i mean multiple, the better U do on the review tests, the easier the exams will be!

I enjoyed his class. He is funny and super nice. He always responds if you need help and emails back quickly. He does everything he can to help you succeed in his class. The lectures and material were very organized. He is such a great teacher. As long as you try you will succeed. I would take him again and again.

Very good teacher. Was able to make sense of everything in lecture from his examples. Very understanding and helpful outside of the classroom. Only downside is that the tests were super difficult. Homeworks was doable.

Great teacher! Helped me throughout the whole semester and was a very good at teaching the material. Always reply's very quickly when sending him emails and he gives out one homework assignment every week but it's not hard if you pay attention.

Mr. Burch is an amazing professor. I had him for both calculus 1 and calculus 2. He genuinely takes time to explain concepts in depth. I always tell future calc students that if they want a firm understanding, they need to take Mr. Burch. All around, my favorite professor on campus, I wish he taught the whole calc sequence.

I took math online. He is a good professor but the course itself and material was very complicated for me. I have always been horrible at math, but if you go to the math tutor or email him whenever you are confused with something, you'll be fine. I would take this professor again, just NOT the class.

I wasn't able to do well this semester despite going to office hours often. It's very reliant on studying outside of class if you struggle. I didn't like the exam reviews or the exams. Exams can be hard but he gives partial credit. It just kind of didn't work for me but he's a good teacher. I will have to retake this class though with a instructor.

I took his class and it was fairly easy. That is saying, all my life i've personally found math easy, it was easy doing his online course. The work wasn't heavy unless you left it until last minute, which I did lol. It was pretty easy though. His video lectures were okay, very straightforward and easy. Ive recommend his class to my friends.

super funny for a math teacher! as someone who always struggled in math, his class was fairly easy. there's a lot of notes so attendance is basically mandatory. there is a project at the end of the semester which is basically just a recap of the last couple of units but overall a really good teacher

I have always struggled with math and knowing that I had to take statistics made me worried. But prof. Burch made this class less intimidating. Chill guy and very funny. Utilize office hours and beware of mylab Pearson. That website will forever haunt me. Otherwise made me a bit more interested in math and would take his class again :)
