Brother Burt is one of those teachers that give you a few big projects during the semester, but he definitely helps you along the way. He's super chill, but has so much knowledge, too! Learn from him and take the class as if you are going to run a small business and you will learn lots of little tips and tricks.

Brother Burt is an awesome professor! He has tons of business experience and still runs a business and teaches at the same time. His feedback is super good and if you pay attention in class you will learn a ton! Overall he brings a lot of energy to the class and is there to help you.

Professor Burt is new to teaching, but is serious about and actively engaged in developing his teaching skills (he turned down a large offer from a fortune 500 company to teach you btw). He has started his own businesses and has real life experiences. I've enjoyed his class and would definitely take again.

Jared burt is a man with great respect for his students. He is great at being aware of students needs, allows time for Q and A, and teaches material that is important and useful in your career. He seems to care more about what you take away from each lesson than most Professors I have had so far. Highly suggest taking his courses.

Brother Burt owns his own business and has SO much knowledge about the business world. He is very confident and kind. He is very caring of each of his students. BUS 200 is mostly discussing case studies every week. Participation in those discussions is a huge part of your grade. I have learned a ton taking his class. Take him!

He is honestly the best teacher I've had! Each class we went over a case study. They weren't hard but make sure you do them before class. He was always cracking jokes and honestly just a nice person to talk with.

I took a case study class from him. The case studies were quick reads, and it was really easy to go off of the vibe of the class for participation. Bro Burt has a really laid-back approach it seemed--probably because he is a busy business man. Don't expect feedback from him, he defiantly uses TA's. The final is interesting--not easy to prepare for.

This is a case study based course for the majority of the semester. Really easy case studies that won't take up too much of your time. If you want a simple small business management course, this is the one to take.

Bro. Burt is a humble guy, and cares about his students success. He is great at conducting discussions, always willing to help, and you will really learn a lot from him. Being a case-study centered class, there are quite a bit of readings and assignments, but all really helpful and simple enough. Participation is a big deal if you want to do well.

He is always ready to dig into your thoughts and see what your ideas are. He likes participation and leaves the out of class time for readings or time for group projects. He is good on leading discussions and cares a lot about his students.

You have to be prepared and ready to participate in every class, but Bro Burt creates an atmosphere that makes it comfortable to share any opinions you might have. 100% would take a class from him again.

Professor Burt was very involved with his class. He always did his best to ensure that the students were participating and understanding the material.

He is able to bring in real world scenarios into each class period to make it applicable. He is really big on participation points, and allowing everyone in the class a chance to participate.

Smart teacher who knows the business world. Great perspectives he shares. Quite a bit of reading for each class and must be prepared to explain/discuss what you read. Little things to do and keep up with, so pay attention. Grading is pretty strict. Enjoyable discussions!

The final is basically a summary of what you feel you learned throughout all of the classes. Be sure to attend the class and don't be afraid to talk because the grade is highly based on that.

Bro. Burt's BUS 200 class was AMAZING!!! I loved learning from his experiences, and the case studies that we went through we so much fun. This is a case study class, so if you don't do the reading, attend class, and participate you will not pass. As long as you do those three things, you will enjoy this class.

Brother Burt is very caring and understanding towards your needs. He will help you get an A if thats what you're looking for. Attendance and Participation are very important however, like 30% of your overall grade! Attend every class/every other class and you should get an A.

I took this class online through zoom during covid. Brother Burt is a knowledgeable teacher with lots of experience and cares about his students. Class attendance is mandatory since this is a case-study heavy class. Overall, this is my favorite business class I have taken. Wish I could take more classes from him.

He gives a good amount of homework but it's nice because it's really consistent and you don't have to guess if there's something due every day. The assignments aren't hard. Grading is pretty easy in my opinion. There's a big class project at the end of the semester where you help a real small business solve issues, it was a good experience.

In every class you're expected to contribute to the discussion. This can be annoying sometimes, but if you really prepared before class, it's pretty easy to participate. At the end of the semester, there's a group project where you help a real client and their business. It's lots of work but not too bad. The professor is always very respectful.

Jared Burt is knowledgeable and approachable. He is open to ideas and suggestions. He conducted this class primarily through class participation instead of lectures, and you were required to read a case study and prepare materials for class discussion. Missing a single class can hurt your grade. Overall the content of the class was relevent.

Brother Burt is good. He has solid spiritual insights and work experience he'll share in class. The only problem is the organization of the course in canvas is rough. Lots of links that didn't work, confusion on assignment expectations and deadlines, and just a lot of miscommunication overall.

Great professor. For the first couple of months you read a case study (a few pages) before class, answer a few questions about it, and have a discussion about it in class. Participation gets you points so contribute to each discussion. The last month of class you work with a real client to help their business. Easy A if you just do the work.

He never sounded judgmental and put us all at east to speak our minds, which helped us to have a great learning experience during discussions. Truly cares as well.

I really enjoyed taking Brother Burts class and learned a lot about the problems, changes and fixes that are included in a small business. He gave me great insight as he followed the spirit as he taught. I would definitely take a class of his again and loved how he related the gospel, education and the world together.

Busy work to the moon, but it's important to prep for the discussions. I would say that this class is designed for people who like to problem solve and come up with solutions. No tests or quizzes. Final project rather than final test.

He is a friendly down to earth guy. He is talkative and likes to get to know everybody. The most important thing to pass is by participating every class. You just have to make a comment since the class is discussion based. He also has/runs a business outside of school. He has valuable experience for business students.

Participation is a HUGE part of your grade. You have to show up, have your camera on, and participate in class. However, he is the best teacher I have ever had. After a whole year of doing class over Zoom because of COVID, let's just say that Brother Burt was a breath of fresh air. The best way to describe his teaching is real and human. I felt like I was just talking to a dude that had real life experience, not just a rando religion professor or a robotic accounting professor. He knows his stuff.

I took Brother Burts Small Business Management class. The homework is mostly case studies and were all very interesting. He also shared a few case studies on his own business and what he did wrong which was very helpful to see. Towards the end of the semester, you work with real clients on real issues and learn a lot! Overall an excellent teacher.

Brother Burt was good, he's got a lot of real world experience. The class itself is a little boring and repetitive. Always check your grades, I've had incorrect grades entered more than once, especially on attendance. Due dates can be a little weird. Overall, good professor, not the best (or worst) class.

Honestly one of the best professors I have had while at this school. He knows so much about business because he is currently a business owner and have owned many businesses over the years. He always makes sure to listen to our feedback and then actually changes so that the class is more enjoyable.

He truly cares about his students and wants to make sure that everything he teaches in his class can be applicable in yours. This is a class that goes over case studies for the first 3/4 of the semester. You have to read one for every class and write a response to it. It's not difficult but it is time consuming. The end project is a group consulting project, again it's not terribly difficult it's just time consuming. You are required to participate in class.

Prof Burt really cares about his students. He has other classes more difficult than this (I've heard) but this one is super easy if you show up and at least attempt the homework and participate. The TA (Eden) helped me out when I thought I might fail and considered dropping it. Just do the work and ask if are confused about anything. Take his class
