During my freshman year, Dowd was possibly the best professor I've ever had. He's very understanding and his class isn't hard at all. There's no reason to fail the class. He's always checking in with his students and is very caring. I never wanted to leave his class.

Hes a great professor, I took him for group dynamics at 8 am and I dont regret it one bit. Even though its a early class, that class was my favorite class. He made it fun and easy to learn. Hes very nice and the work is not difficult at all. Just have to be in class and give in a bit of effort and youll do fine.

Took him for group dynamics. Hes a great guy and a great professor, it was an 8am class but he always came in so energetic he made the class so enjoyable.

I took group dynamics 101 and I enjoyed taking this class with professor Dowd. Anything you ask him or need help with, he will assist you and answer your questions. He is a great and fun professor. Always makes jokes and makes sure everyone feels included.

Amazing professor, very funny and cool. Not much homework probably like 2 maybe 3 papers. Lots of notes but its worth not buying the textbook. Hardest part of the class is a presentation but youre in a group and you choose the topic. Definitely recommend this class to everyone.

I had Professor Dowd for my HSC114 course for the fall of 2024 at Suffolk Community College and he was just the best professor I ever had! He gave me some great tips and advice on how to become a successful student and I hope to utilize more of what he taught me and the resources he sends to me next semester.

I took Professor Dowd for Group Dynamics. Online course were online posts were counted heavily towards participation. He will leave feedback on everything you post. I would take him again for other classes. He made himself available via phone, email, zoom, and in person meetings. I would recommend taking him for anty class he is teaching.

This site wont allow me to choose the course i took, i was in his HUS101 class fully online and I was really pleased with this class. Very consistent classwork and due dates, professor gives great feedback, fair grader, and wants his students to succeed and engage in the course material. I took him for HUS 101 and He is honestly a great professor who shows dedication in his teaching. He really does care for his students and if you follow him on his instagram he is always posting school events and resources. His assignments are weekly and instructions are clear and is not hard at all as long as you are doing your work on time.

Although I passed this class with an A, I would say this class was more tedious than I thought. We had long discussions due at 8pm based on the readings/powerpoints/videos he gives each week. We had 1 paper/midterm. I would say he's a tough greater, but he does let you know what you're lacking. Overall not a bad class, just make time for it.
