Below poster is wrong. Class is only an hour long. Poster probably failed class so takes it out on a caring teacher. Ganson knows his stuff. I hated Math until this class, ganson gave me the confidence I needed to pass.

Great professor. Had him for the spring 2005 semester for hypermedia(web design). Passed his class, got an "A". Learn new things from him that I never learn from high school when I took web design. Provides extra help when doing projects for his class. Everyone in his class understood the way he teahes when creating web pages. Hypermedia rocks.

Ganson took time to respond to every silly question I had--and I had plenty! I was creating my own site and he took me through it step by step. Extremely helpful examples were posted on his site for each class. He covered mySQL, PHP, HTML and Javascript in one class so he NEVER short changed anyone on time. Everyone thinks he is an A+ teacher.

Usually I don't fill this stuff out, but when I saw what was said I was shocked. This math class is supposed to only run for 1 hr 15 min, and it did. As for mistakes everybody makes them from time to time, but I can't recall him making any. Ganson is a great teacher and because of that, I am now up to pre-calc. Didn't think it possible. He's great!

Ganson is among the best of the teachers I have had. He is very helpful and makes himself available when you need help. The topics taught are not easy, but ganson does his best to make sure you understand. Some poeple just cant understand the material, but he tries to get you through it. I have had him for 2 classes and would take him again.

He really knows what he is doing! and the fact that he is hyper makes the class even better because it keeps you awake. He actually takes the time to go into depth on every problem. One word: amazing!

Professor Ganson is by far the best professor I've had at this college. He really explains everything in detail. He posts everything you need to do on his website so there isn't anything to miss. I would recommend him to anyone needing to take any of these courses.

By far the best professer in nassau. He made a big difference in college for me. He helped me to pass an exam I tried to pass many times before. A+ out of all the professers I have had I will remember him the most.

I always had trouble in math during high school and stuff but when I took his class everything changed I started to like math and understand it! He would go over material nice and slow plus a million times if you needed him too. He seemed to really care about how his students did in his classes. I want to take another class with him!!

Prof. Ganson is awesome .. I had him for mat 002 in the spring of 06 and I loved his class!!! He was so helpful and understand!!I want to sign up for one of his CMP classes!! If you aren't the greatest in Math and don't like it, like me, take one of his classes and trust me you'll start to like Math and do so much better then you did before!!

Absolutely wonderful! I took a summer course with him and he was probably one of the best professors I've ever had and I don't even go to NCC. Extremely helpful and really cares about his students. Definitely take him if you can.

He was an excellent teacher. Breaks things down to simplest terms. Class is difficult but programming is not easy. He is very helpful with the difficult projects if you contact him via e-mail. Responds very quickly normally. I would highly recommend.

Prof. ganson got me through a class that I have tried twice befoe. His his ability to make a hard subject easy to understand is his streangth. Very personable as well, does not make you feel bad and wants you to try hard.

Absolutely the best Math teacher I have ever had. He goes over every possible problem within each category you could think of before you even ask. He approaches you to teach you, and doesn't expect you to know it beforehand. I HATE math, and he made me understand it and even appreciate it. He's also just an genuinely nice guy. Take him if you can.

Professor Ganson is definately one of the best in the MAT/CS department. The material could be confusing at times, but he always made sure that everyone understood it. Exams where on the difficult side, but gave several projects which help boost your grade. He was always very easy to contact if you needed help.

Math is typically not my favorite subject, but having Mr. Ganson as my teacher has not only helped me pass the remedial requirement, but has relieved some of the ill feelings felt towards the subject. He's a hands down cool guy who I could easily talk to about anything..even musical greats such as Miles Davis, Grateful Dead, and Phish.Awesome guy!

Professor Gansen helped me through remedial Algebra after 20 years of not being in school. He keeps a consistent energy level and made a tough subject fun and interesting. He explains things ad nauseum, ad infintum and you will pass his course if you make an effort.

This teachers is one of the best teachers out there. He makes sure you understand everything. He does take attendance but he doesn't go crazy over it but he will pull you aside and talk to you about your about it. He's a very nice professor. Highly recommend

Ganson is a great teacher. Unlike most professors the tests and homeworks are based on what you learn in class. The projects were a little tough. I highly recommend you take ganson. You won't regret it and he plays halo and call of duty

Prof Ganson is a very good math teacher he takes his time to show you math especially if your not that great in math. I would recommend to take him if you want to pass the exit exam of 001 math. Excellent teacher and has a sense of humor. He has a zero tolerence of cell phone use in class once he began teaching.Very good teacher.

Really good professor. Takes the time to explain whats going on and what he is teaching. If you need more help he will be sure to sit with you until you get it. Clear and decisive. Take as many classes with him as you can.

Ganson was alright, i felt the tests were a little tough, and some projects were quite hard, as he would want us to do things we didnt do together in class. And those things were a lot of points if u didnt do them. Don't know if i'd take another class with ganson, only if i had to i suppose

Great professor, and all around, what any normal person would call "a great guy." Challenging, always takes the time to explain thoroughly, willingly allows students to bombard him with emails, which he responds to in no less than a few hours. Not to mention he has a sorta geeky sense of humor which always gets the class laughing. Great Professor!

Very nice guy, very knowledgeable and fair with grading. You can learn a lot from this guy. Don't go on facebook, while he's teaching ... I know people who missed useful information by doing this.

Very good at teaching highly recommended. Best IT teacher on campus, take as many classes with him as you can. He actually teaches unlike so many others in his department. Java was a hard class so if you don't read the textbook and practice your on your own. People in the computer lab aren't very helpful either.

Prof. Ganson is a great teacher. He is very informative and knows his subject well. I had him for Intro to Info Technology and he made it a very enjoyable class which I got an A in. I liked him so much as a teacher that I am taking him again for Web Programming I. Hopefully I can get another A.

Prof G is 1 of the most extraordinary teachers I've ever known. Not only did he know his craft but also knew how to teach & instruct all until they knew the material. Remember not every1 who knows a subject will know how to teach it. He is patient, lenient, flexible and genuinely cares about your progress as well. Make no mistake about him.

Prof. Ganson is SUCH an AMAZING professor!!! He really really cares about his students and tries his BEST to help them 150%. He will not move forward with a chapter until everyone understands the hw or classwork. He made class exciting and interesting and I looked forward to going 3x a wk. He also assigns hw every night but it is worth it! TAKE HIM

Very good professor, always willing to help no matter what. Answers any questions you have you can Email him and he gets right back at you. Projects are some work, but they are only betterment for you, take him! Very knowledgeable, takes time going over subjects I wish I could take him for every class!

Even though I failed the class, I love him so much! He is such a sweetheart and a great Professor. I will definitely take him again in the Fall and be sure to pass because it was MY fault that I didn't to begin with. He's one of those professors you will always remember and keep in your heart.

i was horrible at math but with mr ganson as my teacher gave me a sense of clarity. he knew how to teach and get the work through your head. i walked away with a 90 average the best i have ever done. He helps you remember what you have learned in the past. my favorite professor i have ever had. wish i could have him again.

Best professor in the I.T department and maybe even the entire school! Extremely helpful, smart and funny. You must show up to class, pay attention and do the HWprojects. Would take him for every class if i could! If you're serious about I.T TAKE HIM! Oh, and don't look at your phone in class.. it really ticks him off, lol.

Ganson is an amazing teacher! Took him for ITE154, transferred to a different school wish my programming professors were like him! He was the only one who would give useful examples in class, then assign work which both made you think. When doing HW always looked backed at the great examples he gave, programming teachers need to learn from him!

I'm at the end of the road for my major, I've taken many different classes in different departments, in all honesty, best teacher I've ever had from Preschool to now. I'm a big hardware and networking guy, never really been into programming, this guy right here made me see programming as fun and challenging, rather than just a chore. Best prof 2015

Never have I met a guy more enthusiastic about programming. If you're stumped, a quick Google search will solve all your problems. Basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript, with roughly 10-11 homework assignments (15%), 3 projects (25%), and 3 exams (60%). Clear-cut assignments, and uploads all his work to his website. I can't recommend Ganson enough.

He is one of the best IT professor at Nassau. I am an IT major and got my associates in IT. I personally think that Ganson is the best at what he do and knows a lot about programming. He is the only guy i would miss after i graduate. You always learn something new in his class. Just 2 classes with him and you learned a lot of programming.

Textbook was only needed for homework. Hes amazing, super funny. Explains everything perfectly makes the subject very easy, 100% recommend! TAKE HIM!!

Professor Ganson makes a difficult subject simple with his lecture style. Examples are clear and easy to follow, questions are encouraged, and assignments are relevant and instructional. Don't skip class, everything he does one day will be based on what he did the day before. A nice general plus is his website, which makes keeping up on work easy.

Professor Ganson, us an amazing teacher. He trully is passionate about his math. He breaks it down in the simplist forms. I've been out of school for over 20 years and he made this so understanding. He gives you the confidence to move forward. I cannot wait to take his 002 class. I wouldn't take any other professor. Great guy.

One of my favorite professors I've had in college so far. Really good at explaining topics of IT and has extensive knowledge on his expertise. I would 100% take him again. Weekly homework and a few tests, super fair professor.

When I started Information Technology at Nassau community college I used to hate Web programming until i came across Prof. Ganson. My whole prospective changed. His form of teaching is very unique. I took ITE 154, ITE 204, and ITE 254 with him. All he wants is to get your homeworks and projects done ON TIME. Now i am confident enough to proceed.

His way of teaching his course is you might use one paper, rest of the work is online through his website. He teaches tools that can make thousands of dollars in real life.

Hands down the best professor i've ever had. He is a great teacher and visually explains new topics. His lectures are inspirational and going to his class is amazing. He doesn't give too much homework and his grading is very straight forward. If you are in the IT program, take this professor.

This is a talented professor. He does a great job of explaining programming logic to you and will go over until you understand it. That being said I slacked off and got a D in this class. He's strict with the work he gives you so don't expect extra credit or extra points anywhere. The grade he gives you is what you get. Do all the homeworks, GL!

Professor Ganson is probably the most enthusiastic professor I've had the pleasure of meeting at NUMC. If you're taking his class, and truly enjoy coding, you will enjoy every second of it. He makes turning code into a visual product fun and easy to understand. If you are taking this class and did well in CSC104 and ITE101(HTML& CSS) your good!

The BEST professor I have ever had in my 2 years at NCC. I had him for 154, 254, and 204. From day 1 you can see the passion this professor has for his work and it very clearly shows in his lectures. There are NO surprises in exams, and his structure is perfect. He will not disappoint, TAKE HIM!!!!

Very amazing professor, his lectures are amazing and he knows exactly what he speaks about. Also he makes the class enjoyable and if your into IT you definitely need to take his classes.

Nothing much to say other than his lectures are amazing, he doesn't overload with homework and gives enough time to get the work done. Exams are not hard and depending on which class you take with him the exams are open book or everything. Just in general an amazing guy and professor who makes the class enjoyable and knows what he's talking about.

Has an excellent background for creating Webpages using HTML and CSS. Knows everything about the ins-and-outs of JavaScript.

Ganson is one of da best IT professors at NCC. 254 is a challenging course, but if u diligently complete your homework and projects, u should be able to succeed. He displays a great passion for his subject and his teaching style is filled with energy. His lectures are amazing, as he explains the topics thoroughly and in understandable way.

One of the best teachers you can take. He is to the point, realistic and doesn't overwhelm you. You are expected to find some answers on your own using the internet, but they would not be too far from what you already learned in class. If you have the chance to take one of his classes, go for it. I learn the most from these classes.

Taking a Ganson class is like finally having a perfectly cooked, gourmet burger after having McDonalds your entire life. This guy was born to teach; Nassau Community College is incredibly lucky to have such a passionate and knowledge Professor. + If you like to program, you won't find this class difficult. Ganson is a very enthusiastic guy when it comes to ITE153 and ITE154. Teachings are clear and work is easy to understand under him.

awesome teacher, very motivating and actually cares about his students. if u ever had him before you can tell that he cares about his students. he explains everything very well and if you have any problems he will come to you during class and fix your problems right then and there. no textbook for his class, very chill teacher, highly recommended.
