Makes sure you know what you're doing in class, but doesn't stress out having everything perfect in your lab manuel. Combs through and makes his own test based on the most important, basic, and stuff you covered in class well. He is awesome, DEFINITELY TAKE HIM!

For the Bio 102 lab, which is 104, he is an awesome TA! He isn't afraid to give extra credit. There is a test every week with questions from the current and last months labs but if you read they are easy. Certain labs have 50 point lab reports and the format is completely laid out in the course pack.

Awesome and fun guy. He in his early 20s and really relates to students. He doesn't baby the class and freak out over little things. He really cared about the students, and would go out of his way to help you if you ask. Exams and quizzes are fair but challenging. He gets your grades back to you immediately. I would highly recommend his class.

I think he is a reasonable teacher, as far as realizing he is teaching a university-wide required general education course. He is not expecting you to know anything he doesn't, which is fair and just. As far as ever having questions about my lab report, he gave clear concise critique on how I received the score and what I can do to improve.

Jared Wood allowed the class to learn the labs without dragging on the lesson. When the lab was finished the class was dismissed. He could answer any questions about the class and made it a very relaxing class.

The professor is straight up legit. He keeps the class working but not to be extent of boredom. We do just enough work to keep our interest and when we're done, we're done. Class is graded through 4 out of five labs and a quiz at the beginning of each lab and 2 lab exams. Overall, great fun class with this professor. TAKE HIM!

Jared is a great guy with a sincere interest in this subject. You usually take a little quiz at the beginning of every class and then he explains the experiment that you are going to do. Jared is an awesome TA! am an Accounting major, so having to take a science was the least of my interest. But, by having Jared, he made the course easy to understand and learn. The quizzes can be a little tricky if you aren't a science major, but he discards the lowest two, which helps! He is very laid back and is willing to help whenever needed!

He was a very good TA. He was extremely nice and was very willing to help but only if you asked. If you ask questions he will not move on until you fully understand. My friends took the same class with different TAs and they told me that I was a lucky one. Class is an easy A, but must study for test and quizzes.

Mr. Wood is a really nice guy and does everything he can to help you. Quizzes and tests were difficult for me, but if you average out alright, you will be fine because he drops the two lowest quizzes and lowest lab. Some chances for extra credit too. He does not try to force the course or subject matter on you, just very helpful. Recommended.

I really enjoyed taking Mr. Woods' Biology 104-03 lab class. He explained things thoroughly and also allowed us to just work without interruption. I would not be opposed to taking another one of his classes in the future. Great professor

His labs are quick... you get in, do what your handout says, and leave. We were never there for more than 45 minutes tops. He goes over things quickly, but has handouts that answer most questions. YOU STILL HAVE TO STUDY FOR THE QUIZZES AND TESTS, even though the class seems easy. He's always been super helpful. If you like efficient, take him.

I'm not a fan of biology but this class was mostly painless. The professor is helpful and gives you the info you need and the labs are pretty quick and easy. DO study for the tests/quizzes because they're not as easy as the labs. There are 2 exams worth 200 points each which I thought was a bit much but overall the class is okay.

Gen ed Biology is no one's favorite and he realises this. He loves biology but understands that we don't. He was pretty easy and helpful. As long as you did what was asked he graded well and it was easy to keep up a good grade.

Wood is the best choice for someone who needs to take a biology lab to fulfill general education requirements. His labs are always very clear and concise and usually end early. He was a solid professor, made content relevant and applicable to us as non majors as much as possible and always tried to show the "fun" side of science. I would recommend him and take one of his classes again. When there was an assignment he told exactly what need to be done in order to get the grade you wanted.
