this teacher explains in depth but you have to pay alot of attention in class. her tests are easy if you study a lot. gives a ressearch project with a presentation which doesn't take much effort. she is hard if you don't take notes and if you don't read the book.
teacher is not very helpful at all... she goes through information way too fast... and you have a test practically every week... she talks to you like you should already know everything
The lectures were too long and extremely bored! Tests were difficult, she went through the notes too fast that I couldn’t catch up. Sometimes I couldn’t hear and didn’t understand what she's talking about. Her pronunciation is very bad. You don’t have to take her class if you want to get a high grade.
She is the hardest teacher ever. Does nothing to help you. She will give you the note and will expect you to know everything after going over the notes just once. And there will be a test just about every week. So this is the perfect if you want to FAIL.
Prof. Mishra is the best in alief, she explains in depth. Read your book and follow her review. A & P is not an easy class. what do you expect? the class is not for lazy students. she is the best. To be sucessful, it takes hard work. Take her, you will be good in the course and in nursing program. her class is very interesting.

Dr. Mishra's class is very detailed but the way she teaches makes it easy to retain and learn the info. She loves flow charts and I wasn't used to them at first but they are extremely helpful! She provides review sheets for each exam. You will have no problem making an A for the course. Fine to take over summer.
She is a pretty good teacher. I thought she wasn't bad. As long as you study for the tests and do all her assignments, you're good! A&P is a hard subject so of course you're going to have to study hard. you just need to read the book on your own. She tries to give you review but not all the time.
The people in this class made it all the better. it was very hard to understand, but it was funny to hear how some words were pronounced with her accent. She was very confusing and she also said we were driving her crazy. She's aiiiite
Dr. Mishra is a very good professor. I would highly recommend her if you want to make a good grade and learn at the same time. I learned a lot from her. I respect this teacher!
I don't know what people were thinking when they gave her good ratings.I hated this prof. Just thinking about going to her class made me feel like sh**. She doesn't help and if you ask her a ques, be prepared to be critcized. She is rude and she doesnt know english properly. I'm not saying this becuz I did poorly in her class. I made an A.

Let me keep this short so you can get the big picture. Dr. Mishra is a knowledgable professor with a BAD teaching style. Her accent will make her lectures rather difficult to follow on occasion. Her famous quote that you will hear often in her classes " Well, if you don't know that, too bad! That's your problem!".....You got the picture now?? :)
Dr. Mishra was an okay professor. She is very smart in what she teaches but does not know how to convey it too well. Her class was a bit unorganized. In order to make an A, it's best to read the chapters and understand it on your own. If you work hard and try to understand A&P on your own, you should come out with an A or at least a B.
I made an A, but her class is sorta hard. Her test reviews dont really prepare u for the tests, but her lab exams are a piece of cake!
She is rude and arrogant. She has been teaching Anatomy or what ever for how long, and can't pronounce simple words. I hate her notes. She just writes here and there, and it is very disorganized. Then she erases the notes which is why I gave up on taking her notes because I could barely understand them. I would definitely not recommend her.
I took Mishra for A&P1 & 2 and I thought she was a great teacher. I made an A in both classes. You do have to study hard and she is a little unorganized, but overall, I think she was good and she is very helpful. I have taken A&P 1 with another teacher and it was horrible, but with Mishra it was a breeze for me. I would recommend her.
she's ok... have a little accent but i got good grades on her subject without too much effeort.
I am taking her this summer. I realized that her notes are straight from the book, so its not too bad if u miss a class. You need to study to do well, and she is VERY picky with small details for tests, always ask her questions during the test to clarify. BE CAREFUL when u answer anything in her tests. She likes to be tricky. She's alrite.

I really enjoyed her class. It is A&P so yes, you do have to study. If you do/study the quizzes you will pass the class. She will help you, just ask. I enjoyed the class and am taking her for A&PII also.
If you dont have a biology background and want to pass A&P dont take this instructor.
if you want a easy teacher that will hand you info, you have the wrong teacher, she write alot of notes and it so broad you don't know where the info will come from, so you do have to study really hard for this class, but anything she give you will be helpful
Currently w/ this prof. for A&P 2, She's extremely unorganized and has waited until the very last minute - sometimes test days - to provide necessary info to pass an exam. An example of this: Required students to give a power point presentation in class and on the DAY OF the presentation informed use that her system was incompatible. Avoid her!!
wanna register for A&P I and II don not even think about taking her class , this is the worst teacher we ever had

Ms.Mishra is a teacher who has a lot of knowlegde but she can not teach.It is very hard to understand what she is talking about.There is lots of info and not much time and she is not helping at all.She uses power point for teaching class and she skiping many info.Students are confused and has to relay on the book and home studying.Dissapointing!

I have had nothing but the best professors while attending Houston Community College except one -- this one! I am an A/B student and ended up with a C, the highest grade in the class was probably a C as well. For labs she told us to teach ourselves... She is a nice lady and very smart but teaching is not her forte. Try Dr. Garcia instead.
Please don't take this prof. her test are hard! she doesn't go over the chapters, and the Lab exams are also hard!!! Plz don't TAKE THIS PROF. SHE WOULD FAIL YOU!!!

The worst Professor. The hardest one. Not helpful at all. The hardest tests. If you want to fail the class pls take it. She won't help anybody. Her notes are the worst stuff. Students won't understand anything. There is no use of studying her quizes. If you are not super smart, then you won't pass her tests. Please don't take her classes.
Test doesn't always reflect what is taught in class
If you are truly want an A in this class, she is not going to give it to you.You have to earn it. Once you have taken the first test it is pretty easy to figure out the rest. Do the reviews make flash card out of them they are the bulk of her info for every test. She is easy to figure out. Study it works!!!!!

Ok this is what you need to succeed in her class, you need to do your labs, study for lectures and lab exams. And her exams are not that hard, though when she lectures she tends to go real fast. But overall i do recommend this prof.
Greatest teacher I ever had.
We are gifted differently. This teacher does not seem to understand this. Isaw a teacher who favoured the A students.for the rest of the students she talked to them as though she was talking to trush!! I worked very hard in that class but dint do well.
PLS DO URSELF A FAVOUR BY CHOOSING ANOTHER PROF/CLASS EXCEPT IF U WANT TO TAKE THE UNNECESSARY RISK. I TOOK HER 2401 AND NOBODY HAD AN "A" OUT OF D WHOLE CLASS IN D 1ST AND 2ND EXAMS.
She is a smart person but a TERRIBLE teacher!!! When you ask her a question she gets very defensive and never gives you a straight answer. I would NOT recommend anyone take her class!!!!

Im taking her class right now. this very second. I cant understand her and I sit in the front of the class. Im on chapter 3 and shes on chapter 6. Shes incredibly too fast. I work hard,but teaching anatomy for english students is not her thing. shes not a good teacher, however she is nice and it is interesting. very unorganized. truthfully
This is an amazing teacher to take anatomy from. I took her for AP 1 and 2, because I learned so much in the first course. She had an accident halfway through the second semester, so to my dismay, we had a (not so good) substitute. I really wish I had been able to have Mishra the whole way through.
Not everyone is meant to teach and I would advise against taking this class if you aren't prepared to self teach. She appears to be somewhat knowledgeable on the subject but refuses to work with the students so that we can comprehend the material. Usually I'm weary of the advice from this site but this has been THE worst class I've ever taken.
I took her a&p I class. She is very unclear, and is a hard teacher. More than half the class dropped in the 1st week. Got a B because I took a&p in high school..I made the highest grade, most others failed :/ Avoid her class!!!
really cool teacher, tries really hard to make the class fun or funny. But she sucks at teaching, cant understand what she says (terrible accent) and goes off topic a lot. i had to withdraw her class because there was only 6 of us left, everybody was failing!

This teacher was very hard to understand with a thick accent and pulled all from book. class started with 30+ students and when i dropped 7 left.
Extremely disorganized, she gets off track, she always talks about her accident, the class average is a 24 (I've got an A). I took veterinary a/p and it doesn't have to be this hard if she could just be more clear about what she wants. She just told us to work on the labs on our own and we can't even get her to unlock them so we can.
She is a Wonderful Teacher, she knows her stuff. She tries her best to teach her students. She is one of the BEST TEACHERS, I am taking her for A&P right now, and her class is so easy. I always enjoy her class, she is always available for your help. She is the easiest teacher you can ever have for any Biology Class.

The class is intense. I pulled my hair out of my head at times, but I also learned a lot. You have to be able to self-teach in this class. She is a little disorganized, but hey, I pulled a B, but I also worked HARD!!!
VERY disorganize. yes there was about 30 people in class and by 2 weeks there came to about 10 then 7 remained. thats really sad. she only goes thru notes off the comp. and does not teach well. i recommend another teacher.
She was very unorganized, didn't follow her own outline. The class was always confused about when asignments were due. Her exams were hard to understand (worded awkwardly) and everytime there were 1-2 questions with no answers. She was always saying she would give us extra points but ALWAYS forgot to add them. Do not recommend this class.
This professor was really hard to understand @ times and when she did lecture it was to talk about her elbow injury I left class everyday with a headache. Take another professor.
she is thorough, helpful and organized. She has outlines, reviews and weblinks to help us. Don't blame the professor if you are not organized and interested in the subject. She knows the subject and teaches well.
Absolutely wonderful. Dr. Mishra's teachings have awakened in me a profound appreciation and love for life in the human body. She provides an abundance of resources and is always available for help. Her heart-felt passion is infectious. In my experience, what students get out of her class is directly proportional to their ability to truly LISTEN.

Her passion for this subject is really infectious. Because of her, I have become more serious about Anatomy and Physiology.She has plenty of weblinks with good animations and involve students with critical thinking questions. I liked her idea of using concept maps for better learning.
her test are like "what!??" it does not match her reviews.. very unorganized. Doesn't let us know when certain things are due its not even on syllabus! shes all over the place when she teaches . Sometimes she doesn't make in sense when she teaches. You would need to teach yourself... would not recommend.
Dr. Mishra believes passionately that hard-earned knowledge of A&P enriches human experience and health (it does!). She does all she can to help her students realize this. Many students are looking for shortcuts/easy A's, this class is not for you. Those who are interested and willing to work hard will find Dr. Mishra’s A&P to be extraordinary.

A great professor who has a passion for teaching. Quizzes force you to study the notes and the book. She makes the subject easy to understand. The course requires a lot of work from labs, quizzes, tests, and clinical ?'s, but it is worth it and doable. The negative reviews are from people who don't study and don't put any effort into their studies.
Dr.Mishra is a wonderful person and scientist, but teaching is not one of her talents.

I would not recommend Jasleen Mishra. She is a horrible teacher, and you will regret taking her. She does not follow her own syllabus, majorly unorganized, and reads off her powerpoints. You basically have to teach yourself in this class. She is not fit to be a teacher. (I don't know why she is still even teaching at HCC)
I took her for both A&P 1,2. I had to read the book in order to understand. Although she's very intelligent she's not meant to teach. I agree with most of these comments she is unorganized. I got a B in both of her classes but i worked for it. It's a fast pace class so i don't blame her. This course will be tough no matter what! get ready.
Hard to understand teaching style the but hang in there. All quizzes were announced before given. She is a teacher of multiple opportunities. If you want to pass this class all you have to do is ASK for help and go to open lab. Class started w25 ended with 8. Dr Mishra really cares about her students. A&P is a hard demanding course no matter who you take the class from, so be prepared to work hard & study LOTS! Dr Mishra wants you to do well and will work with you and help you to understand so that you can not only get a good grade, but so that you gain the knowledge of a&P. I will take her for A&P2
I have a love hate relationship with this professor. At times she can be funny and then at times she can be extremely rude. She post her outlines online and then reads verbatim in class. She could never remember which class she was showing up for (normally 10-15 mins late). Her test often have material not covered and she isn't very well organized.
she is really a very nice professor. I love her she is abundant with a course knowledge. her test are really easy If you do the review. overall she is a awesome, excellent and intelligent professor. would take her again for A&P2 . The class is easy A if you study hard.
Prof Mishra seems confused most of the times. She teaches things completely different from the book and sometimes just flat out wrong, lots of assignments. IF YOU WANT AN A STUDY THE BOOK YOURSELF. It is not enough class time to learn all the material, you have to teach yourself to do well. This was a very frustrating experience. Avoid if you can.
Took Dr. Mishra for Biol 2401 and now 2402. Returned to school after 20 years, so I knew taking this course would be a challenge. However, Dr. Mishra prepares us well for each quiz & exam. She's also available after class. This semester is tougher for me than the last due to unexpected personal stuff, but Im still glad I chose Dr. Mishra again.
It breaks my heart to see such bad ratings for this amazing professor. A&P is not easy. But this professor gives you all the resources she possibly can including reviews. It's not an easy A but it's an obtainable A she wants you to LEARN the material. She has a huge passion for microbiology. If you want to learn and succeed choose this professor.
This professor means well, however, her lack of sensibility and organization will "throw you off." Tests are hard based on the given time and subject. I do not recommend this class if you're planning to take more classes.
This is a VERY tough class. Yes, she gives you all of the resources but with very little time to be "on top" of everything. This is a class for students who take school serious and have the time to realistically dedicate at least 3 hours a night to homework and studying. I am an A/B student and am struggling to get a C.
Dr. Mishra is an alright instructor. The classwork is really hard, but she explains it and is very helpful, although the ways she explains it can be confusing sometimes . She is very knowledgeable and a lot of experience. She sometimes doesn't have control over her class and isn't clear on her expectations sometimes. Her concept maps are perfect.
Absolutely do not take this teacher. If you need A&P I, and there aren't any good teachers open, I would suggest you WAIT till next semester to get a good teacher. Professor Mishra is confused, doesn't teach very well, and does not care about her students. She grades really hard, and doesn't go over everything that is covered in test/lab exams.

Dr. Mishra was one of the BEST teachers I've ever taken. She LOVES her subject, and she's super patient. If you pay attn in class (and its A LOT of material), you'll pass high. Go over the chapter summaries she uploads--those are LIFESAVERS! I still use them for reference in the last year of CLS.
