Jason's a really good professor. his class is hard, but he curves alot and is always there to help. He's also really friendly and takes us on field trips to the living desert and Santa Barbara.
i like this young teacher, he puts up with the younger crowd. but the main thing is he makes me one of the older ones understand his subject.Thank you Mr Bram

Jason is a great teacher. His class is hard, alot of info, but he makes it fun. Im very excited for the field trips!
Coach Jason's tests are very comprehensive. So study. There's a lot of information in this class, but he prepares you for higher division work, and he has a sense of humor that helps things move. He's approachable, helpful, and clear in his method of instruction. Great course. I liked it.
Funny, clear lectures, reasonable. He gives study guides; answer it ALL. I studied for 3 hours before each test and still got B+ on them. Very hard to ace a test. But he gives 75 pts of extra credit! 25 each for attendance, an easy project and a field trip. Challenging, fun and an A. What more could you want? Great teacher. He's at De Anza now BTW.
:D I think he's the best teacher in this planet. 60points extra credit, though test is hard. Field trip is fun, but you have to drive to that place yourself. Get a chance to touch jelly fish. Dissection is fun as well, we even dissect a shark!! Choose him!! It's a GE class!! The BEST teacher in De anza. Although I haven't got my score yet:(
Jason is awesome! His lectures are amazing and while his tests arn't easy the way he teaches makes passing them no problem, he's really nice and willing to go out of his way to help anyone who needs it bc he really wants everyone to pass. He got me interested in pursing a science major! TAKE HIM
Bram is GREAT! He's always willing to help and is hilarious. He's at De Anza College now and unless your amazingly useless you will definately get an A! There's 70 points extra credit!!
I took him for Bio10 and he's a great teacher. He gives up to 60 extra credit points which is helpful for pushing your test grades to an "A" if you've received a "B" or a "C". He seems very passionate in teaching his subject and gives out little to no homework. Although, you have to study if you want an A as his tests can be somewhat challenging.
One of the best teachers I had at De Anza. I took his class last quarter. He was very helpful, clear, & passionate about the subject. Also he gives as much as 60 points extra credit points. The book is not NEEDED but can be used as a helpful reference. Highly recommended. A little tip it's suggested you study his tests can be difficult
Awesome! Preps for his classes! Funny, smart, loves to teach, available, dedicated, nice. I learned soooo much.
TAKE HIM. I took him in my first quarter in De anza. And it's my forth quarter right now. He's still the best prof. on my list. He's passionate and funny. Exams are not really easy. Field trips are fun. Extra credit helps a lot and easy. He's the best!Made me want to change my major to biology and take all his bio classes!!
He is an exceptional professor! There are few assignments. Quizzes are online. Attendance for lectures is optional, but he gives extra credit for it. A crapload of extra credit is offered. His lectures are well-planned and helpful. Labs are fun. Exams are just like any other class, but provides a study guide for each that covers ONLY exam material.
Fantastic teacher! He really wants to teach his students, and does a pretty damn good job. If you study for the tests and show up, there's no reason you can't get at least a B. But dear god, study for the tests. You'll be sorry if you don't! This class is a "you get out of it what you put into it" kind of deal.
If you're a good note-taker, do not buy the book. I got an A+ in his class and I didn't open it once. You can learn everything from his lectures, which are also online. He is not an easy A professor and his exams are *very* thorough, but if you take good notes and do the very generous extra credit work you should do just fine.
Great teacher! strongly recommend taking biology with Jason. Specially if your a non major or it's your first time. He knows how to teach his class and that says a lot for most teachers now-a-days. His exams are UC level exams but if you go to class and do the study guide there's no way you can fail.
It's really not difficult to get an A/A+. It is a breadth class, not a depth class, so know a little about a lot. The study guide is very fair, but you have to really know it. It is a lot of material, but he gives tons of extra credit, and he genuinely cares about his students. Go to class, do the study guide, and you will get an A.
Study hard and you'll do fine! I loved this class. Prof. Bram is amazing!!!!!! He gives you everything you need to know for the test so if you know the study guide you'll get a good grade. Take him!
Very Clear! Listen and follow his study guides and you'll do fine.
Really good and funny teacher. You won't fall asleep at all during his lectures and labs. It was fun and his tests are really hard. COOL TEACHER! :D!
HES SO ADORABLE!1 of the best bio profs I've ever had!hes really nice & ppl should not take advantage of him.His exams are very hard but i passed with an A cuz' I used da book, even tho he said it wasnt required.i believe getin da book on amazon=an A.hes entertaining & truly cares about his class!
I have stayed at De anza for 3 years and have taken several classes, he is the number 1 professor who cares about students most. Really want to help students and encourage students. The class is fun and active, if you want to learn biology, take his class. Highly recommend!!
Bram is an awesome professor. He wants his students to be successful and get a good grade. The class itself isn't that easy, you need to put an effort memorizing terms. You don't need to read the textbook since he provides everything you need to know on his power point. Follow his study guide and you're all set. Highly recommend!
Jason is one of the sweetest teachers I have ever had. I failed bio before so I was not looking forward to it, but I'm so glad I chose Jason's class. He is soooooo helpful and if he knows that you care, he truly cares that you pass. Take his class, it will change your thoughts about biology :)
One of the greatest Biology teachers in De Anza. Has a really fun class and very understandable subjects. Uses presentations every class. In Lab, very enjoyable. Cool hands-on activities and very fun FIELDTRIPS! I recommend him when you want to be on ease taking BIOLOGY courses.
Genuinely the nicest guy you'll ever meet. He wants you to succeed and has a great sense of humor. His exams, however, are probably the hardest bio exams at de Anza. Having people to study with his recommended and this course is NOT recommended if this is your first bio exam ever in your life.
Jason is very bouncy and energetic, so by the end of his lectures, I was drained and a little annoyed. He tries using many analogies to clarify biological concepts but most are a miss. He'll also say mean/shady things with a smile. Overall easy professor; just show up to class, study for the lecture and lab exams, & you'll be OK (got an A easily)
I was excited to take bio this year just because of Jason! He is the best Biology teach I have ever had because he takes everything step-by-step and he makes sure that everyone understands the material. Jason wants everyone to succeed, and he is straight up honest with you. Best teacher EVER at De Anza.
Jason truly cares about each of his students and will do whatever it takes to help them understand! He's bubbly and energetic and keeps class entertaining. This class requires a lot of time and effort, and exams are TOUGH! But if you ask for help, you'll get it! Its easy if you're willing to work. Buy the book and go to class!
Jason bram is the best professor I've had. Awesome guy awesome class. He's very generous and actually cares. The tests are hard make sure and know more than you should. Take advantage of extra credit opportunities and meeting with him outside of class.
Bram is a fantastic teacher. 5 stars. he is SO helpful. he really wants everyone to succeed. he gives SO much extra credit, its impossible to fail the class. Yeah, the tests are hard. But its biology, so what do you expect? But its true what he says, if you read the text and do the (practically) optional homework, you're golden. lab is easy & fun!
Bram was so nice and helpful. If you need help with anything, don't feel afraid to ask him. He also gives easy extra credit. I wish he taught other classes, his classes were fun. Just study the study guide because everything is from there. No book needed.
Excellent teacher ever!!
Jason is an amazing instructor. He truly cares about his students. His lectures are always interesting are fun. He is very passionate about teaching bio and will make sure everyone understands the materials. Go to his office hours if you have questions he is the nicest person and will help you. It was the best class I had at De Anza. RECOMMENDED
Jason Bram is probably one of the greatest teachers I have ever had. Now, that's not saying much because I am going to be a high school junior next year, but he truly is a great professor. Listen in class, take notes, and study diligently. He'll always help you understand anything! Thanks Bram-man!!
JDog is AMAZING!! He is probably the best science professor to my current knowledge, I can't wait to take his Winter Marine Biology class. I wish he taught Bio 6A! His tests are slightly hard, but they all come from the study guide, so as long as you study the guide, you should be fine. Just the right amount of extra credit too.
Jason is a great teacher and a great person in general. With that said, his class is not easy! Exam averages are Cs and Bs, however, he gives EC and other work to help you get that A. The study guide is extremely useful for the test. I recommend coming to all class sessions because everything he says is beneficial one way or another. I got an A.
Legendary teacher. The quarter I had with him, he had to leave town for a family emergency but kept in contact with his students with daily updates. He is one of the most passionate and considerate teachers I've ever had. He has high standards and his tests are pretty detailed, but he gives you more than what you need to do well on them. Take him.
J-dog is an amazing teacher. His tests are not a piece of cake, but he truly cares about everyones grade (unlike a lot of teachers). I'd say take him, but be prepared to study. All of his tests are based on his lectures so you must come to class if you want to do well. You can also find his lectures/ powerpoint slides online. He'll work with you.
Jason is hands down one of the best instructors I've had at De Anza! He takes the time to try to get to know everyone's name, and makes sure all his students succeed. He always makes sure every one understands the material before he moves on, and as long as you pay attention, exams are easy! Definitely a dedicated instructor! RECOMMENDED!
Jason gave out a lots of extra credits (attendance, field trip, extra credit paper and sometimes he just give out credits for no reasons, so be there in class to earn extra credits!!!), and he cares about his students, he will give you advice when it's half way through the course. He will tell you whether he thinks you can pass the class or not!!!
Jason has so much energy and makes his lectures fun and you can tell he cares about his students. His lectures aren't mandatory since he posts his ppt online but it really helps on tests if you go. His study guides cover everything on the exams and his final-exam review saved me for his final! Would recommend definitely
Why are you still looking him up? TAKE HIM! You won't regret it!
TAKE HIM! HW online, EC given. Energetic, understanding. A field trip, helpful study guides. Great class, great guy. Book not necessary. Go to all lectures if possible, they're not a waste of time and very helpful. Curves (a C- is like 65%)
My favorite professor at De Anza in terms of enthusiasm and patience for his students to succeed. The exams are straight-forward and there is no reason to fail this class with so many opportunities. I would switch majors if every bio professor was Jason Bram.
My favorite teacher! He is awesome! He always can make you feel clear during the lecture time. The exams are a little bit hard, but if you study the study cards, you will receive a good score
Jason is one of the most dedicated and caring professors I've ever had. His tests definitely aren't the easiest, but nothing is a surprise. Study from the study guides and you should do fine. He's committed to making sure you succeed so don't hesitate to approach him! VERY understanding, overall just a great guy!
Jason is cool and hyper almost 100% of the time,he goes through material very clearly and gives great examples. His tests are NOT easy, study and attend lecture.final was hardest,87problems + a few extra credit.2 pass, make friends and actually study, also go over his power points over and over and over.Kindda wished he'd cool it with the dog jokes lol
One of the best teacher I had at De Anza! TAKE HIM! His midterms are a bit challenging if you don't study, but it's nothing to stress over about. His labs are actually fun. There's a field trip that is optional if you want extra credit. This guy really cares about his students. I almost cried saying goodbye to him because that's how awesome he is.
He is the best teacher ever!!TAKE HIM!!!!!He is so funny and cuteeeeeee!!The class is not too hard if you use the study guide!!Everything you need is on study guide!!!!He also gives generous extra credits!!Up to 50!!!!
He really cares for his students. He gives a lot of "free" points. I highly recommend taking his class.
Without a doubt, Jason is the kindest teacher I have ever had (not just at De Anza, but period!)and he is so dedicated to his students. TAKE HIM!! :)He's so clear in his explaining and won't hesitate to answer questions! If you have questions, he is so approachable don't hesitate!
such a passionate and entertaining teacher! never a dull moment in his class. Study the study guides and you'll get an A no doubt. He inspired me to be a bio major :)
Amazing person in class and out. I'm not a bio major never got good grades in science yet ended up with an A+. Lots of extra credit (50 pts) TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT! Exams are the only difficult part but DO THE STUDY GUIDES & you'll be fine! Book is not needed strongly lecture based and lectures show in red what is NOT on the test. He is very clear.
Incredibly helpful, friendly, and makes it clear what you need to know for tests. Definitely take his class.
Jason is the BEST! He's super energetic and funny. He really cares about his students. Field trips were AWESOME! Especially our camping trip. As for homework there are short quizzes based on the lectures. Everything is on Catalyst. Study guides, HW, Power point's. Everything you need to pass is there! HIGHLY recommend this class!
This class was a little hard for me but worth it! It's really good class! Jason really does care about you! Take it!
Hands down the best De Anza Professor by a large margin. I don't know if I ever had a professor that is more caring of his student than Mr. Bram. His exam wasn't easy but NOT HARD!! Just need to memorize it. He gives plenty of give-me extra credits to off set. Attend every class. Truly a student's teacher! Highly recommend!! Take him!!!
Best professor at De Anza hands down! Has a great sense of humor and loves to teach. If you occasionally miss a class don't skip this one: his class is worth every minute. Easy A if you follow study guides and listen to lecture; which is not hard. De Anza can use a few more professors like Jason.
Jason is such a sweet&caring guy he wants u to pass but u have to work for it HIS TESTS ARE SUPER HARD u have 3&they r like what he says "harvard tests"however u need to 10 hw assignments online throughout the whole quarter, lectures were borin lab was so long!! STUDY STUDY STUDY FOR THE TESTS hes so nice& there for u wish i took a easy teacher tho
He's a fantastic teacher, and gives you easy points on anything that does not concern the in class tests. So what this means is that he gives out easy to get points on all the assignments including the extra credit except the in class tests which is the hardest part about this class.
I recently took a Marine Bio class with Jason and I must say he is by far my most favorite professor! He genuinely cares about his students. He uses catalyst for class material; everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is there for you to pass the class. The labs are fun and the field trips are awesome! I loved class. P.S. Reinfield is always the answer.
Jason is awesome. You can really tell he loves his job. Lectures are long, but he makes up for it with his humor. Lots of terms to memorize and lecture exams are tough! He gives you a study guide and if you understand the answer to all the questions you will do fine! It's just a lot of material to learn. Either way, I had 'hella' fun in his class.
Mr. Bram is the most chill teacher I have ever had. He pushes his students to take responsibility for their school work and rewards them if they do so. If you don't do well in this class, it is most likely you're fault for being irresponsible. This isn't high school anymore folks, take advantage of teachers like Mr. Bram!
Jason is such a great professor, he really knows his stuff. His lecture exams weren't hard, but they weren't easy, so just study and you'll be fine! He's a great person to go to advice as well. He lives off of powerpoints, which aren't bad because they're actually cool and helpful. If you need help, just ask! Great professor, definitely recommend.
He's funny, keeps the class entertained, and is very clear about the information he expects you to know. Lecture exams are rough, but study& DO THE HOMEWORK and you'll do alright. If you can, don't skip class and absolutely dont skip labs! His lab exams are straight from the labs you'll do.
He is funny and great guy! Great teacher and he's really helpful if you ask him questions. There are online HW, lecture tests, and lab tests. Wouldn't recommend skipping any labs or lectures bc if you do you'll probably fail. His lecture exams are VERY TOUGH. Do not underestimate his lecture exams. Lab exams are easier if you show up to the lab.
If you want a class that you're never gonna forget, take BIO 13. Its amazing and its so unique. Jason is a great teacher and he makes it HELLA easy to get an A. Just show up and do what he tells you.
Mr. Bram is an excellent professor. This is one of those classes where you actually learn and you have committed professor who actually loves his job and will go out of the way to explain stuff to you. No doubt you have to actually work to get an A but its still possible DO NOT SKIP CLASS!!!
I took Jason's class knowing people said his exams were "Stanford level" hard; I passed the class with an A, so its totally doable. I wouldn't recommend skipping lecture because he does a lot of visual explanations ( like when he visually demonstrated mitosismiosis with art supplies). *BTW Im selling the text on eBay for 46.99, just search by ISBN
Jason Bram is a great teacher. He is very passionate about the subject, always willing to help or answer questions, gives extra credit, and is hilarious. He's very friendly, and I highly recommend him. 2 Field trips are required, but they are a lot of fun.
Jason is amazing. Always there to answer your questions, even on the phone!!! Funny lectures and interesting labs. However, you gotta earn your grade.
Took the intro to biology, and I was so glad it was with this guy! Extremely clear on what he wants from you (which is a pretty decent amount of homework and participation). He's not strict at all, though, and his lectures are fun and informative. Just make a friend and borrow the text when needed - it's not necessary.
He is hilarious! Just show up to class and do the homework. Make sure you study for the test, they are somewhat challenging. A lot of extra credit. If you do not get an A, is your fault. He tries really hard to make sure students do well.
Jason is the best professor I've had in my entire college career! Jason is always there for you and willing to talk if you need help with anything. His exams are not easy, but I studied and passed the class with an A. You're always engaged in his lectures. Seriously, there is never a dull moment. If you take him for marine bio, you won't regret it!
Jason is one of the nicest, happiest professors I've met that truly cares about you and your grade. He gives tons of extra credit, field trips, and walks you through every step. Don't bother with the book - ace the tests by filling out his study guides AS he lectures but STUDY THEM HARD! Take Marine Bio 13 for your science + lab IGETC credit!
I am lucky to have Jason for my Intro to Bio. Take him take him take him! You will not be disappointed even one bit. Btw he may talk a bit fast for non-native student, but not quite fast.
Jason is the best teacher I've ever had at De Anza! If there's confusion during lecture, he'll re-explain to make it clear. His labs are fun and interesting and most of the post lab questions are done as a class. You really have to study for his lecture tests, but his study guide helps a lot. Lab exams are a lot easier. TAKE HIM YOU WONT REGRET IT!
Jason is one of the best Bio professors He is really friendly and easy to get along with, his labs are fun His tests could be really hard and wordy but just study hard do your homework assignments, group project, and show up to class and you'll pass Oh and he gives a lot of extra credit opportunities
Great professor, gives lots of extra credit. Lecture exams are tough, but he gives a study guide so as long as you study that you should be fine. Responds to questions really fast - even offers to call you or meet outside office hours if you really need to go over a topic.
Awesome teacher! One pf my favorite so far at De Anza. Im not a bio major, but I legitimately enjoyed his class. He is always there for his students and goes through the trouble of learning about every single person in his class. Tests are somewhat tough though, yet he gives incredible amounts of extra credit which gives a boost.
I loved Jason's class. He's such a chill and fun professor. His tests are pretty tough but he gives a ton of extra credit to boost your grade up. I think going to class is pretty key because he explains a lot of the material with clear detail and he makes sure that you actually understand it. He's great!
He's a very passionate Professor. He is actively engaged with his students and keeps them attentive and informed. All Professor's should model his enthusiasm and charisma.
I wish I could pick more tags for him. He offers a LOT of extra credit, and as long as you study you will get an A. He tries very hard to set his students up for success, and I am sad this class is already over. He has amazing extra credit field trips, and his lectures are fun and full of neat information. He is in my top three teachers thus far.
Definitely one of my favorite professors at De Anza thus far! He's very funny, cheerful, and easy to talk to! Field trips are EXTRA CREDIT, he makes study guides, whatever is on it is fair game and there are no surprises! Challenging but a fair guy, you really have to study to do well, but Jason makes it fun and I really enjoyed his class!
Super cool guy, I loved this class. I'm a bio major and took this class as a refresher course before my actual majors class. Lectures are entertaining, tests are easy, and labs are fun. I liked this professor so much I plan on taking his marine biology class for fun.
I took his summer introductory bio course. He was really great, super nice guy, genuinely cares for his students. Gives TONS of extra credit opportunities so you can bomb one of the exams and still get an A+. 3 exams, but the high score is counted twice. I found them to be easy, but the class average was low. Study + show up and you're golden.
Funniest teacher ever! He makes the class easy fun and comfortable, fair amount of hw and one group presentation. Not bad, would take again
Jason is a great prof, he is a really good lecturer, he cares about his students, and he wants them to do well. He loves extra credit which is nice. he's hilarious and keeps the class entertaining. The class is an easy A if you show up and pay attention. His exams are really easy even though he says they're hard, just fill out the study guide.
multiple opportunities to go to the beach or aquarium for extra credit. He grades leniently, but the class isn't mind-numbingly easy. His enthusiasm for the subject is infectious and you'll definitely learn a thing or two even if you're already pretty knowledgeable to begin with. Genuine, heart-felt teacher that cares for his student's education.
He was a nice teacher. Did all homework, extra cred, and study guides, but still struggled on tests. Got ds on all tests even though I studied using his notes. No curves but doubles highest test score. Really fun labs. One easy group presentation. Can still pass class even with Ds on test as long as you do everything else. Not easy but interesting
I had zero background in Biology coming into this class and boy did it show. He is very clear in his lectures and is very approachable, though don't let his hilarious demeanor fool you into thinking this class is easy. His test are HARD. Do the study, then do it again, and then one more time after that. He is an awesome lecturer! TAKE HIM!
Highly recommend to take his class ! Very nice guy and respect each students. He provides lots of extra credits for us, and we could earn 60 at maximum, which is 10% of whole. Even if I did not take final exam, I could get A. Easy! You have to remember little bit of lots of materials, but as far as you fallow study guide, you will be fine!
Jason made a long class bearable & fun! His exams are hard bc there is lots of info. to retain, but you WILL learn, so only take him if you're willing to put in the work! He provides us w/ everything we need to succeed. His grading scale is a bit lower than most, based on: 3 exams, 2 lab tests, online HW, lab attendance/participation, 1 group proj.
Extremely easy class. Abundant extra credit opportunities, numerous study guides and most importantly, a incredibly passionate teacher makes this class a breeze.
Best professor at De Anza. Funny, passionate about his job. He tries his best to teach you as much as possible . An A is easy if you are willing to put in some effort to actually read through the study guide. Also, plenty of extra credits that can raise your grade a lot
Was looking for a class to fulfill the lab req and I'm glad I chose Jason's class. Gives a lot of opportunities to get a good grade w/ extra credit because he genuinely cares about his students. Goes over lots of information and his tests are super hard but puts out a study guide that helps a lot. Take him if you don't like science but need it.
I got really sick at the end of the quarter right before I transferred and I didn't study for the final at all and got a F on the final and I still got an A in the class. He is a great lecturer, caring, and has tons of extra credit opportunities for you. Has powerpoints. Labs are easy. No reports, just a worksheet. Take him, he's nice and funny!
i needed the course but got lucky to be put in jasons class, excellent teacher and wants nothing but for his students to enjoy the class and get the best mark, on some days we are with him for 5 hours straight with lecture and lab but its not even a problem and there is alot of extra credit for students to take advantage of. i highly recommend him
An incredibly passionate teacher. He breathes life into his curriculum and inspires a genuine interest in the world of the aquatic ecosystem. Coursework is easy
Prof. Brams passion for biology is evident during lecture. He is extremely knowledgeable, gracious, and caring. As a student, I could not have asked for a more welcoming and friendly professor or a more interesting topic. His lectures are always so well organized. Prof. Bram really makes biology the class you want to attend.
3 Lecture Exams, 3 Lab Exams, Connect Homework Assignments, and 60 points of extra credit. The guy gives you so many opportunities to at least pass the class. If you're thinking of taking this class, look no further than Bram. Excellent professor and if you put just some effort, you will get an easy A. Trust me! So many opportunities at getting pts
Jason is an unforgettable presence that will stay with me throughout my life, no doubt. His teaching style is super laid back but his passion for the subject matter is inspiring. So much so, that you find yourself wondering if you're in the right major (kinda). He is by far one of best teachers ive ever had and is tied for my top 2 at De Anza.
Professor Jason Bram is one of the best professors i have had at De Anza. He is a great teacher, and helps student success the most. He is accessible outside of the class and guides his students very well. His lectures are pretty to the point. He provides a lot of extra credits as well. Bio 10 with him was very fruitful for me, and i had fun.
JASON IS THE BEST! He cares deeply about his students and wants you to succeed. If you have questions, ASK! If you're looking for an easy teacher to fill out your GE requirement, steer away from him. His test are HARD. I cannot stress that enough. He'll send out review packets and you pretty much need to understand everything in it.
This class was hard, but it was to be expected. Jason did everything that he can to make all his students pass. I apperciated the passion he has for Bio becuase it made the class more fun. The tests are hard. Study hard and you'll pass. Gives loads of extra credit. Take advantage of them!
Love this guy. I'm a business major so I took this class to fulfill the lab science requirement. Took this class in the summer so with lecture and lab it was about 4 and a half hours a day I spent with him which normally would be a long time but with Jason his amazing lectures and fun labs made the time breeze by. His study guides help a lot
FAVORITE TEACHER EVER! He's so funny, loves all his students and made me want to come to classes. His tests are hard but if you go to the classes you'll do fine. Go on the field trips and the camping trip for some of extra credit, the trips are fun don't miss out! TAKE HIS MARINE BIOLOGY CLASS!!
AWESOME AWESOME PROFESSOR. Gives tons of extra credit, lectures are good, and he's very down to earth. That's not to say you don't have to study or put in effort though. Bio has tons of vocabulary that you'll have to memorize but Bram is super motivating and supportive. LOVED HIS CLASS
Seriously the best teacher I've ever had! He has honestly shaped me into such a good student. He cares for all of his students and really wants everyone to succeed. His jokes are the best! He thinks he isn't funny but he is!!! I would take his class over and over if I could. He motivates you to want to come to class! His dog HD is adorable!!
Jason is the most caring professor I've ever had. He'd stay for ANY amount of time in order to help me. Coming from an all A student, this class was hard. Jason makes it worth it. He has a huge heart and invited us to his personal house after the final. He's funny and keeps things interesting. You'll do badly on exams and depend on extra credit.
Right off the bat, every claims the tests to be difficult, however, I disagree. They may be tons of information, but if you put in the time and don't cram right before the exam, you WILL pass his test. Questions are basically definitions, and not super analytical. Easy class, especially with 60 EXTRA CREDIT POINTS! No excuse to get anything below A
Absolutely best professor I've had here! He's super funny, very interactive, and really brings joy and fun into his class! The labs are great, very fun, and easy! I purchased the online package for the book soley for the Hw , I never used the online book itself. Keep doing what you do Prof! If you don't like Jason's class, what stomata with you??
For ESL students, this class will need more effort on studying since there are too many new biological terms to understand and remember. You might pass or get B or B+ with 60 extra credit, but if you want an A, you have to try your best. Mr. Bram Jason, his passion and responsibility in teaching is really my motivation for me to study harder.
Amazing teacher. Really caring for all students. I missed a lab exam. He made it possible for me to do missing lab exam after the final. Hands out study guides that really do help for his exams. Very funny lectures and slides. Willing to meet and help you outside of his office hours. Easy and fun extra credit (field trips).
His class/labs are super fun as it is very hands on and he is very interactive. Took his BIO10 class over the summer and it was great. Show up, do the work, and study for the tests and the class is a breeze. Would definitely take it again!!!
As an international student, Bio10 would be a difficult class. But, Jason is the nicest professor. He totally understands how difficult for international students and has the patience to explain to you. Follow the study guide and spend much more time in Bio. Getting an A is not difficult for international students.
If you don't take Jason, you're missing out big time. He's very helpful and gives the advice to help you study harder for his exams! His exams are a huge deal for your grade so make sure to pay attention and if you have any questions, he's always happy to answer!
Jasons Intro to biology course is what made me switch majors to Biology. Really funny, gets you excited about biology. Explains the material so that its easy to understand. Wants his students to succeed.
Jason is honestly the best prof ever! He is passionate about what he does and is very knowledgeable. He will go out of his way to make sure you know the material and are prepared for exams and furthermore, life. Jason actively wants what is best for you, he is a wonderful mentor and friend! I highly suggest taking his class!
I have Jason in the morning and his high energy keeps me awake!! He provides all the necessary materials to study for tests and he gives so much extra credit that there shouldn't be any excuse to not get an A in his class. He really cares about his students and has a lot of patience to make sure his students succeed.
I had Jason for Marine Biology, and it was honestly one of the best classes I had that quarter, lecture wise. He's a yeller, but it's not in a bad way. He gives you hella extra credit for doing fun stuff: intertidal, camping trip, Monterey Bay Aquarium. You also get 20 extra credit for showing up to class for the whole quarter. Very understanding!
Prof. Bram is one of the best professors at De Anza. He really cares about his students and it is obvious he is passionate about teaching. His lectures are fast and cover a lot of information, be sure to bring your laptop or the slides printed out to follow along. His test are hard so you have to study! But overall you will learn a lot and have fun
The teacher is very nice, and he cares every student. We enjoyed the class because we had several field trips and the FREE camping trip. It was not just sitting in the classroom and learned. Instead, students could go outside and learn different organisms. However, the class had a lot of exams, so be ready to study a lot.
Jason Bram is a great choice for biology. His lectures are interesting and engaging, and he teaches to the test. His tests aren't necessarily difficult, but you do need to study! Just showing up to class and taking notes won't work. He encourages you to ask questions and is very personable. (A+ horror movie, food, and dog enthusiast too.)
Jason is fun. But, be ready for a 15 pages study guide!!! 4 lecture exams, 100 questions each, plus lab quizes, group presentations, and homework. This is the most difficult class I ever had. I will recommend this class, if it is the only one you are going to take. I
very very very difficult. Unless you could AP bio... stay far far away. not an intro class at all.
If you think this is class is not easy, why don't you jsut drop out of college?
Overall really enjoyable to take his class. He's humorous, makes you want to pay attention to his lectures. Gives you TONS of extra credit opportunities, just amazing. However, his exams are quit difficult if you don't study hard. An easy A because of the extra credits available. Attendance is suggested because it's worth 20 extra credits.
He really wants his students to understand the materials. He is very easy to reach out through emails. You only need to hear and understand his lecture in order to ace the tests and exam. He also gives out tons of extra credit, so you can make up the lost points in your tests and exam
GREATEST PROFESSOR EVER!!! I took him my first quarter here, and he was genuine and really cares about his students. He's so funny and engaging! He is super helpful and will help you if you ask! His exams are difficult but the study guides help a lot!
Wonderful professor. Teaches in a passionate manner and his class is fair game. Definitely take advantage of the 60 points worth of extra credit which can dramatically boost your grade. He is one of the few professors here at De Anza willing to spare his free time in order to provide help if needed. Strongly strongly recommend him
Take his Marine Biology class for IGETC! As long as you do the study guides, you'll 100% get an A on the tests. There's never trick questions or surprises and it's very straight forward. He also offers up to 60 points of extra credit and your highest test is counted twice. There are three lecture exams and two lab exams. Would definitely recommend!
He is a great professor! Offers a lot of extra credit to help you boost your grade. The study guides are quite long, but they are super helpful and will get you at least a B. If you want an A, show up to classes, do the study guides, and take advantage of the extra credit opportunities!!
I took Jason winter quarter and he was an amazing professor he cared about his students and was willing to meet up with his students outside of class to help them. His lectures kept me engaged as he's hilarious and his lab was fun as well! You definitely need to study for his lecture exams and lab exams he also offers 60 points of extra credit!
Professor Bram is honestly one of the best teachers. he makes sure to memorize every student's name! is funny, interacts with every student and always comes into class with energy. His class is kind of hard- his tests are very memorization heavy but it isn't too difficult to get an A with the help of all of his extra credit opportunities
He's fun and does what he can to help students succeed and enjoy Bio. His lecturing can be hard to follow because he talks quickly, but slides are detailed. Tests are hard because they cover so much information and study guides are not super specific. He gives insane extra credit though and if you do it all, you can add 15% to your test scores.
He made my spring quarter one of the most best quarters ever! I made lots of friends in this class and had so much fun on all the field trips. BUT, I studied my brains out for this class. It's super worth it though because you can easily study with friends and make it fun. Jason is one of the coolest teachers ever and you won't regret taking this!
Amazing, kind teacher. lecture and lab exams require a lot of studying but he tells you exactly what to study and gives a ton of extra credit, which is almost no work at all. funny/tries to be, very clear instructions, responds quickly to emails. just try hard and youll pass
Its been 3 years and I still remember Jason Bram from my first quarter. Ive recommended him to friends that took him & loved every second. Cannot stress how funny, down to earth, and willing to joke with students he is. Lecture is good and he keeps it entertaining, EC opportunities. Feels good to actually want to go to class. rip renfield
I haven't even finished the course and I'm already sold. Professor Bram is super accessible, thorough in his explanations, and totally loves what he does and it shows. He actually cares about his students and his profession, as well as the material being taught. Super friendly and communicative. Great teacher, seems great guy in general. Recommend.
Pretty fair class, need to understand the material, but you can cram and still do well. Teacher is kind and understanding. Exams are proctored.
Great teacher, great personality, solid class. Very manageable for online learning. He is very accessible outside of class and is happy to help. Exams are proctors through ProctorIO.
Proctors test thru Proctorio. Big red flag right there. 3 closed-notes tests in total with enough extra credit to cancel out 1. Reasonable amount of labs and 1 lab quiz w/ 5 questions for each lab. Basic busy work. Lots of extra credit and 1 extra credit paper. Sort of expensive textbook/code. Very nice and responsive professor. Mixed feelings...
An amazing Professor! Super inspirational and passionate in Bio and his passion is super contagious! Clear and concise study guides, and easy to follow lectures. Despite it being an online course he still made me feel like I was in the class listening to his lectures and biology puns. Would take his class again 1000%!
Professor Bram is the best! He is so funny and he cares about his students. He gives a lot of extra credit but his exams are hard, you need to really study to pass. If you can take him because he is the best.
I took this class in 2019, by far best professor I have ever had. I want to take his marine bio class just because he is such a great prof. The content is difficult but he makes it fun, by making a dance out of the photosynthesis process! His exams aren't easy but if you use his study guide you can do well. I wish he taught more bio classes!
He says that the highlighted red in his lecture is not important but its super important when taking the test. And when it comes to the chapter test and midterms the stuff that was on the study guide doesn't even cover it on the tests
Most compassionate professor I've ever had. His recorded lectures were engaging and entertaining. His exams are not difficult at all if you use his study guide. Do take this class if you are considering it.
Amzing Professor! Although exams are heavy because each exam will cover 5-7 chapters, but as long as you understand the concepts, use the study guide and do chapter homework for practice, then you will be ok. There will be 3 exams in this course. He offers a lot of extra credit opportunities to help with grades too.
Took Jason for BIO 10 over the summer. Easily one of the best professors I've ever had. While his class was test heavy, his study guides are all you need in order to succeed in his class. He's more than willing to help you out in office hours and responds fast to emails. The only knock I have is that he uses Proctorio to proctor his tests.
TAKE HIM. He really cares about his students and is super funny. He is flexible with exam time too. (Just email him when he makes an announcement on canvas) There were three lecture exams, using the Proctorio program. If you 1. listen to lecture 2. use study guide 3. study the quiz online, you will get an A+. Plus, there is an extra credit paper.
He is honestly so funny and nice. No required class and he really cares about your success. Do the work and you will receive an A. Lectures are pre-recorded and he provides study guides for every exam. He always tells you to reach out to him and makes many announcements to remind students about assignments or tests. Great class!
Best Professor ever, respects you and makes you feel like a human being. Thank you Professor for everything.
Jason is a hilarious professor and he makes the topic of biology much easier to learn with his lectures. Expect small 5 questions online quizzes every week. He gives out a study guide to go along with while watching the lectures (recommended to use) and has a lot of extra credit opportunities. It's not too difficult to get an A - B grade.
Absolutely, take his class! You do have to study - lots of new vocabulary. But there is opportunity for extra credit if you need it. His presentations are very entertaining. You don't need a book, you do have to buy access to the homework. If you do all the labs, assignments, and homework and watch his videos and take notes, you should do well!
The lectures are where ALL the information is. The book is for reference, but you buy a book code for the classwork. Overall, just invest time and you'll do well.
He's a really nice and great guy. Attendance wasn't mandatory so you could watch the lectures at your own pace. The lectures and study guide help with the exams, but you have to study and dedicate time to the course inorder to get a good grade. He's also really accommodating with deadlines in case something comes up.
He is really funny and loves his job! Even though it was just GE class, I actually spent more time than I imagined. There are numbers of weekly assignments that you have to do and the study guide that prepare for your exam that you need to fill in which will take a lot of time. Quizlet will help you get a B, but an A you have to put in your effort
One of the best professors out there for sure. His exams are nearly identical to his lectures if not so. He includes humor into his lectures and he explains concepts in a simple way so that it would be easier for anyone to understand. I hated high school biology and expected to hate this class too but I loved it! 100% recommend.
AMAZING professor. I took him during the winter and he was the best professor I have ever taken. I hate biology and failed it in high school. But Professor Bram made biology fun with his humor in lecture videos. I passed the class and nearly got an A which is impressive for me. You must take him if you are thinking about taking Biology.
I was nervous about taking biology in the summer, but now I think his class is perfect for the summer. All quizzes and labs are done online. The labs are like an online simulation, so it was pretty fun. He also posts lecture videos and provides study guides. I highly recommend!!
Jason is hilarious! I thoroughly enjoy watching his lectures. Not only are they entertaining but they're informative and I actually retain the information. I had his class hybrid and labs were very enjoyable as well. Highly recommended!
Prof Bram is super friendly, and won't hesitate to work with you on any and all challenges you may face. His flexibility is great, and he's very open and knowledgeable and will help you understand everything you have questions about. He's very upfront about extra credit opportunities and goes out of his way to be available as a resource for anyone!
One of the best biology teachers and teachers I've ever had. The class was struggling on the first exam so he decided to drop the lowest exam and count the highest twice. He's so caring for his students and a very understanding teacher. The labs were so fun as well.
Easily the best professor I've had at De Anza. He's clearly very passionate and caring of his students success and doesn't fail to make himself available for feedback/additional help. His recorded lectures and study guides are very helpful and your key to passing the class as long as you're willing to put in the time and effort.
If you need to take BIO10, try to get into Jason's class. He is hilarious and his passion for his students is extremely prevalent. I passed with a C in high school bio and ended with an A in college because of his very helpful lectures and study guides.
Profesor Bram is absolutely amazing! He is so funny and you can tell he really cares about your well being and understanding. He loves what he does and it shows. His exams are tough, but he prepares you well. Professors like him make college worth while and fun. Strongly recommend!
He really cares about his students passing, his class is full of energy. My first time taking an in-person class so that is why my grade is a C but he was there every step of the way for this class there are 3 Tests, the lowest gets dropped and there are labs where you take a mini quiz after the lab so it's better to be there in person for that.
I rarely ever leave reviews on here but so far i have to say Jason's my most favorite professor at de anza, he is very dedicated as a teacher, his classes are very fun and his method of teaching doesnt even make it feel like its study. I have learnt quite a lot in this class and have nothing but good things to say for it. Just remember to schedule.
I am now taking Professor Bram's Biology 10. Even though I haven't taken my final exam yet, but I can't wait to give him a 5. Professor Bram is the best professor here at De Anza and I highly recommended everyone to take his course. 1: He really loves his job. He is the most passionate professor at De Anza.
3: He changed my views on Biology. I used to hate Biology back in high school, because Biology is a complex course, you need to both understand and memorize! My high school teacher was horrible but Jason was the first Biol teachers who actually teaches students! I found Bio interesting and I am really grateful for that!
I have never met a more enthusiastic and energetic little man. Learning with Jason was a literal joy and he always gives opportunities to make sure you do not fall behind. No homework, always concerned about your wellbeing, study guide he provides is basically the test and a lot of extra credit opportunities. Just watch his videos and you're fine.
Easily one of the best professors I've had at De Anza and I've only been here since Spring quarter. Professor Bram is funny, kind, and wants YOU to pass his class. His lecture exams do require actual studying so make sure to study well for those but his class is amazing. Also, if you want to take his class but ur late, approach him in person.
Jason provides generous and numerous extra credit opportunities, including field trips. Class is easy to pass as long as you prepare for tests. Very funny and passionate about what he teaches. Definitely recommend taking his Marine Bio class.
One of the best teachers I've ever taken at De Anza. He cares so much for his students and their individual progress; even taking the time to remember your name. Biology was not my best subject, but I passed with an A+ due to his awesome lectures and clear grading criteria. Also, his dogs are cute and he'll bring them to class sometimes. :)
I had a fantastic time in his summer class. He's an outstanding professor and is hella funny. The lecture exams are challenging due to the extensive material, but fair(probably been a lot easier in a regular term instead of summer). If you're interested in being greatly entertained while learning then I highly recommend taking it! Thanks, J-dog!
I took Jasons Bio class over the summer it was fun. He has a lot of fun and interesting projects in class which he would quiz you on at the end of the week. He is super friendly and understanding but because it was a summer course he condense a semester worth of material in 6 week which was heavy but also doable because he provides study guides
Jason is such a good professor! He gives so much extra credit (50 pts), and all you have to do is have fun! Camping trip, tide-pooling, and Monterey Bay Aquarium; you'll make lots of friends. Quizzes and exams are easy as long as you do the study guides the exams will be easy A's. For the lab exams, all you have to do is show up to class!!
Seriously one of the best professors and people that I've met. Professor Bram is a very understanding person who truly cares for each of his students. Provides lots of extra credit. All of the questions on exams are based on the study guide. Bit lecture heavy, but he makes up for with his humor, enthusiasm, and in-depth explanations. Cheers, J Dog!
He is a really good professor. His lectures are very interesting. He is very responsible. If you need to arrange extra time to complete the exam, he can drive to school just for you. His extra credit also very interesting. He is the best professor I have ever met. I really want to take his class again if i can although his exam is not easy.
never cared for bio and took it as a gen ed class. Jason made it very enjoyable and engaging
I don't like biology but Jason makes this class fun, you are not allowed to bring notes to lectures and lab exams but he has good lecture videos that cover everything. But besides that, everything else is easy in this class. If you have to take this class, Professor Bram is a good choice.
He's a nice man, but his exams are extremely tough, hours of studying and watching lectures is required to even get a B. His study guides are nice to have but they are long and take forever to fill out. He talks too much and takes up class time HIS CLASS FEELS LIKE A MAJORS CLASS, not just a GED, its kind of annoying that he takes it so seriously.
As an international student, I really appreciate Jason's courses. Also, I put a lot of effort in this class. The quick way to help you succeed in this class: Watch his lecture videos and download the completed study guide in Course Hero. Make sure you understand and memorize all content of study guide. You could do pretty well on exams.
favorite professor i've had at de anza so far. just make sure you have time to watch the lectures and study! he gives out study guides that are actually helpful for every exam. Felt like I learned a lot from his class and he grades super quick and fair ! take himmm!!!
Professor Bram is really passionate about what he teaches and makes class fun. He cares for his students; he provides a lot of extra credit opportunities and drops some scores to make up for students potentially missing class. The lecture exams are pretty hard but as long as you watch his lectures and do the extra credit, you should be fine.
if you have the chance, take his class. he genuinely adores his field, and you can tell in the way he teaches it. there was never a boring moment and even on test days, he may bring his dog HD to calm some nerves. he truly cares for his students and is extremely flexible. lectures are always clear and provides study guides, so exams are a breeze
Professor Jason is one of the most fun people I have ever met- easy-going, friendly, and in simple terms, awesomeness personified! Three midterms to go with three lab exams (Drops the lowest). Online Exam to be completed in 24 hours. 7 lab quizzes (drops lowest two). Easy A if one devotes above 20 hours a quarter!
The best professor Ive had hands down. I took his hybrid marine bio class, super understanding and really funny. He drops the lowest lab exam every quarter. You have 3 lecture and 3 lab exams. You are given a study guide for each lecture exam that you fill out using the online lectures. As long as you do that and study you will pass with an A
An incredibly caring and engaging professor! I'm not majoring in anything bio or science-related yet his passion made the class so fascinating. There are a few off-campus class trips that I recommended going to for both the extra credit and the adventure. Even if you can't go, there are more EC opportunities so it's pretty hard to fail the class!
GOAT!
The GOAT!!
Science was never my best subject, but I loved taking Jason's class. He's fun, makes a lot of jokes, and is always there for help if needed. Lab exams are easy if you attend; lecture exams require more studying but he posts the lectures online and thoroughly explains the concepts. He offers papers/field trips as EC and brought his dog!!
Jason is a fantastic teacher, unfortunately I'm a very unskilled student and studying is increasingly difficult for me. Jason is incredibly engaging and I really appreciate how helpful and kind he is. The only frustrating part about the class is the lecture exams, they're all on the textbooks but Jason makes videos breaking them down on canvas.
I enjoyed Bio 10 with Professor Bram because he includes specific slide shows that explain the topics in our study guides. It's a bit of heavy material but, His office hours are very flexible if you have any doubts or last-minute questions he can help. He is very caring and wants to help his students understand the material and succeed.
Professor Bram makes this class fun and engaging, even for those who don't typically enjoy biology. While the exams are challenging, his clear lectures and study guides, along with helpful resources like Unstuckstudy, can make success very achievable.
Extra credit opportunities given and very engaging lectures
Professor Bram is one of the best profs I know. His lectures are CLEAN and ORGANIZED, and he wants you to succeed in this class! He would explain things to the students in absolutely creative and attention-grabbing ways that made me fall in love with biology. J dog is humorous, caring, and a person with an amazing personality. 1000/10 take him
Jason offers opportunities for extra credit and repeatable practice quizzes to help you study for exams! His online lectures and in-person labs were engaging and made it easy to understand the concepts. His exams are challenging but very possible to pass if u study! Overall, very fun class, would definitely take again!
Jason is the BEST professor I have ever taken. He deserves every good review on this page. He is dedicated, passionate, understanding, and so funny. Lecture exams require close studying but they are easier than you think. Used to hate bio, but he's so good. He also offers a LOT of extra credit & gives you lots of opportunities to boost your grade.
Jason is so nice and caring! TAKE HIS CLASS and you won't regret!
Jason Bram is by far one of my favorite professors. He genuinely cares about his students' success and prepares them for adjusting to adulthood. The online lecture videos are easy to follow and very useful. Practice questions are always provided to prepare you for exams. Labs are interesting and fun. Extra credit projects are fun + new friends!!
Took this class back in 2019 but Jason Bram is by far one of my fav professors at De Anza. I did feel like his class was hard (lecture portion the labs were pretty easy). He teaches this class like he would a Stanford class, and just because we're at CC doesn't mean its any easier (stigma that others often put on cc). I think online woud be easier!
The labs are interesting and you will have to dissect a marine animal in one lab. The lectures can be long, but he can make them entertaining, and the best of all is extra credit field trips, Let's be honest, there is no student life in community college, but the camping trip was really the highlight of my college life. 10/10 recommend.
Favorite teacher honestly, the field trips were super fun and worth it. While his online lectures are long, they are necessary because there's a lot to learn. Really study for tests!! But do take his class, he's really entertaining and yells like crazy(out of the pure love in his heart).
The lecture exam covers a lot of material to study, but it's not too difficult. The professor makes the class engaging and is very passionate about teaching. Asking questions always results in great responses. Grades are mainly based on exams, but there is extra credit available. Email responses are quick and clear.
THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER You should study hard in this class to prepare for exams, but I'm sure you can get the grade you want if you do your best. And the professor is so goated; he is seriously the best professor I've ever had.
Professor Bram is one of the best teachers I've had at De Anza. I took him for BIO 10 as a hybrid course, and though the material itself is difficult, he does a great job discussing the information in his lectures and providing extra clarification/support if needed. Make sure to study thoroughly for the exams and ask for help, and you'll be fine.
A really funny and caring person. Truly wants the best for his students and is very understanding if you're going through something. The only tough thing in his class are the lecture exams, but as long as you watch the lectures and study, they are straightforward. Offers extra credit and you can still get an A in the class even if you bomb an exam.
very energetic, inviting professor. labs are easy. lectures are quite heavy, so studying is important
Jason is super funny and kind. His class is extremely entertaining. He has so much energy I keep accidentally calling him coach in my head instead of Jason. It IS tough but you won't notice. Take it seriously, do the ample extra credit, and you'll be fine. He says much the same. Send him pictures of animals too. He appreciates it a lot.
Very fun professor, and if you just put a simple and genuine effort for the class, there is no way you are getting less than an A.
Loved this class. It's pretty much impossible to fail unless you do nothing. He gives lots of extra credit and the labs are pretty fun. The only challenging part is the lecture exams, but he gives study guides and practice quizzes that will actually help, so definitely take advantage! He's also really funny which made the class better! :)
Genuinely one of the best professors I've ever come across. The lecture exams are tough only if you don't put in the effort to study and don't utilize resources like office hours! He's super caring, energetic, and funny. Gives lots of extra credit and grades SUPER quickly. Absolutely take his class!!!
The class was way too easy and it didn't prepare me that much for harder biology classes
There were a lot of tests, and while Jason provided study guides for each exam, you really have to know your stuff in and out to do well on the exams. There were a lot of hw, labs, and discussions to boost your grade though. I also found that Jason was very open, answered questions, and provided solid and complete feedback
Amazing professor, he's well informed and will help when needed. All the labs and quizzes are graded fairly although the exams are packed with information which he offers a detailed study guide. Biology is a hard course in general but he keeps it clear and organized!
He's a tough grader, but he's fair. He is willing to meet with you during office hours to discuss any questions you have, so take advantage of that! I wouldn't have been nearly as successful without those meetings. The material is difficult, but it isn't her fault. Study guides are just "guides." Dig deeper to really understand the material.
Jason Bram is an amazing professor. He is kind, funny, and makes class so fun. The only hard part of the class is the lecture exams. It is very heavy material but he gives a study guide. He will help you!! He is so funny and loves dogs. 40 point extra credit helps a ton
Great lecturer. Extremely helpful. Challenging material but he helps you get it. A good brain exercise.
Embrace the grind. It's a tough class
You'll never disappoint taking Jason's class. The coolest professor ever at De Anza. Although there were a lot of terms relating to Bio, the class was manageable. As long as you attend class, you'll get almost the concept. He has lecture videos and study guides before exams, which are helpful. He provides field trip for extra credit.
the BEST PROFESSOR. he is the coolest and the funniest professor ive ever taken. he cares about his students so much and will help them succeed. He gives so many opportunities to get a good grade. there is extra credit worth 40 points and it's so easy! literally the only way to fail is if u dont do the work
amazing professor!! provides many chances for 40 points extra credit (like going on a fieldtrip!!). labs are really easy and in order to pass the tests (3 in person midterms + 1 online final), all you need to do is the provided study guides. this class is incredibly easy as long as you put in the effort.
Jason Bram is a truly wonderful professor. I took him for Marine Bio and he inspired me to continue in my studies when I was very unsure about how to move forward. That material is very doable, just make sure you study since it's hard to bs your way through memorizing a bunch of terms. The extra credit makes an A easy to get, so don't neglect it.
His course was hard but motivating
Amazing professor. Genuinely cares and WANTS students to understand material. He is hilarious, lively, upbeat and genuinely loves bio field and sharing it with others. Class is hard, but I honestly learned a lot. Just attend labs and do online lectures and STUDY YOUR BRAINS OUT (as jason says) and you'll be fine. Plenty of EC opportunities
Like what was said. It's a very hard course
There's a few lengthy video lectures that all have respective small quizzes but you get a lot of time to do them. There's a group presentation, too, but the extra-credit field trips make up for it and he has a funny and charismatic personality that makes the lectures enjoyable. Easily one of the best classes and teachers I've had.
THE GOAT. You have to study for the lecture though (obviously!), its may not a like easy easy A class you are looking for. Inevitably, there are a lot of terminology and that can be a bit boring. But he is such a chill, motivating, and energetic professor. Also, grading criteria is well/fairly structured. Trust me, you will do great.
A really fun class with a caring teacher.
