I was definitely not looking forward to this class but after sitting in a few of his lectures, he made Statistics quite clear. I did bad on the first test but aced every other exam after. His style of teaching is very clear and he makes sure his students understand the material. I highly recommend him for stats.

In my opinion...definately the best statistics teacher currently on campus! Professional, courteous, personable, & humorous. Explains details to questions & verifies your understanding. Provides review sheets for every test. Allows necessary resources for quizzes, tests,& final. Doesn't collect homework, but you'll struggle if you neglect to do it!

Jason is always willing to help students when they have questions. He is very nice and easy going. There's a lot of extra credit that can be earned in his class. He loves math, but doesn't act over excited about it. Always on time and very friendly.

Finally delta has a great teacher. Come to class everyday, take notes, go over the review sheet and you will pass the test. Ask him if you have any question because his answer are great and funny. Easily the most helpful and clear math teachers I have ever had. Won't move on till he is sure all of his students understand. more than willing to explain something twice if people need it. Something that most professors these days wont do.. He's also pretty funny, which makes the class a bit more enjoyable.

Professor B. is the best as they say, and cute to boot! But he's also tough- no extra credit, no curve, no notes, no calculators, no nothing-you get what you get in his class. It's all you. EASY! he lets you have some notes for tests. he literally goes over the quizes right before we take them. not too much homework. and he is amazlingly CUTE :) He is SUPER funny... he accually danced in class. he is the best teacher i have ever had! Dont be afraid to ask questions! he LOVES when students ask homework and other Questions. LOVE IT!

Good teacher test are a little challenging, But he explains everything very well. The subject itself is challenging, so be prepared to show xtra effort. Ohh the first test is the easiest, don't let that fool you. You might look for students who have taken his class before and ask for the tests, they are not the same but follow a similiar format.

I took his online class and it was very easy. If you keep up with the homework, you will be great. Do not buy the solutions manual and you might be able to check out the textbook from the library. The tutorials are all online and I didn't need anything else. Also, print out the practice tests when studying for final tests.

I took Professor Broyles in the fall of '07 and I thought he was amazing. He's hilarious and he tries to interact. He provides study guides and homework was due once a week on Mondays. He's really helpful and wants to see people succeed. I highly recommend him. He's a great teacher and a nice guy!

okay so he might be cute and even a nice guy, but dont take him during a summer onlinecourse. It was soo much work I couldnt catch up.I would put in 2-3 hrs of work everyday, it would be pile up i would be in tears at night.i know summer is more intense but it was he (additional quizes) to every chapt. plus homework/tests that killed my grade-

Best Math 38A professor!

precal is tough, bt with mr broyles teaching you it makes it seem approachable. he is a wonderful prof. this is my second class with him. got an A in math 82 and in this class (math 38b) i have a high B. but its my fault for not putting enough time into the class. studying and doing ur hmwk every nyt is a must to be successful! ul learn lots!!!!

w mr B. guiding you along the way it makes math approachable. tests and quizzes are identical to the examples he does on the board. a typical day in class is goin over any Q's from last nyts hmwk, then teaches a new section, then same thng the nxt day. throw in a quiz here and there.hate math bt now im thinking bout majoring in math!! mr.broyles is very helpful, and he makes lecture very fun and he is funny, too. He gives you reviews before each test so if you do them and the homework you should do fine! You have to earn you grade...he wont knock you up to a B if you at 78.9% and he says that the first day of school.if you dont take the final and you have an A you will fail

Nice guy, pretty funny, lectures are good, and very helpful. He even offer help in his office hours. Only thing I don't like is his grading on tests. He puts too much points one problem. If you mess up on one you can drop from a A to a B.

he's the best teacher i've ever had...super helpful and has a good sense of humor. he doesn't allow calculators for a reason, the problems on the test should be common sense. if you don't know your multiplications, that's your loss. i think he has a good reason for not allowing calculators for his exams...totally recommend for everyone

Homework is due every Monday, study guides are due the day of the tests, tests vary, and quizes are occationally announced in advanced. Overall, the class is tough but Mr Broyles does a very good job of explaining such a complex subject. Tests are tough so I recommend making a note sheet, which you get to use on the test. RECOMMENDABLE!!!

Stats was the hardest class. I took the class during the summer which added to the feelings of apprehension. Mr. Broyles helped by explaining the subject with clear instructions. I never felt like he was trying to be tricky. The amount of information was overwhelming. I ended up with an A, because I worked hard.

I can handle #'s and words but not together! Mr. Broyle, helped me get over that fear. The class did not interest me a lot but the way he explained during lecture was awesome! Highly recommend to those scared of math, especially statistics!!!

Mr. Broyles was the best! I took him last year for Math80. I wish all Math instructors were as helpful as he was. The few questions I had, he explained everything in a way I could understand, even after my telling him my issue with numbers (dyslexic). Course Compass was used in his online course.

Mr. Broyles was the best math teacher I've ever had. His lectures and grading system is organized, he loves to answer questions, and is truly a wonderful teacher. His tests were sometimes long (if you have an hour class) but you will definitely learn and enjoy his teaching :)

I took this class online, Math 82 is very difficult so homework is a must! He give you chance to get 100% in all HW by doing the problem over until you reach 100%, Quiz you get 3 try's & highest score submitted, test only 1 try to study hard. If I had a question he would e-mail me back right away. I would suggest in class instead of online.

Took Mr. Broyles Class for both Pre-calculus A and B and no I'm currently enrolled in his online Stats class. He is really helpful! His tests are base off materials he covered in class (could also be problems from the homework). But, note that he's not that easy unless you attend class everyday!

He's really organized, keeps you updated on where your grade stands, wants every student to do well and has a good sense of humor. He gives massive amount of homework, there's tests and quizzes per chapter, but they're easy if you understand the material. Must attend every class, miss one and you're doomed, I would take another class with him.

I highly recommend this professor. I took this class online last spring and i got an A on my final grade. He toke care of his students that one time i missed my first exam he sent me an email and gave me a chance to take it. I still choose him as my professor this coming Fall for Math 82.

Hybrid class so the work is done on a computer so I never really went to class after the first couple weeks. I did all the work at home on the computer and only went when I needed to catch up or take an exam. He's laid back and really understanding. Kept the tradition of having a cool math teacher going for me in my first semester of college.

Amazing instructor compared to the instructor I had for 38A. He is extremely clear, gives many examples and will not move on until he is sure everyone knows the material. This is a great teacher and you will not regret taking any of his classes. You MUST work hard in order to get good grade in the class. I'm not saying this is a tough professor or an easy one. Very fair teacher. Very helpful. He will work with you until you understand your homework. He is willing to work with the students and is very reasonable. Makes math understandable. I would take his class again given the chance. As long as you are keeping up on your homework he wont dock you for missing class.

Professor Broyles was awesome! I hate math, & only took this class to transfer & avoid Stats, but he was extremely helpful, & was always available during class or his office hours. Clear lectures, the homework was all online, & we only met once a week (@7:30am) so you had to be in class (test or quiz every period). I would 100% recommend Broyles.

As long as you do the homeworks and ask for help when you need it you should be able to pass the class.

I absolutely love Prof Broyles and I'm disappointed that he doesn't teach precalc 38B... I was looking forward to it. His lectures are important and he does assign hw, but they are due the following monday. He gives easy quizzes once a week and is fast with grading them. He also gives you a paper to show you where you're at after each exam.

Best math professor on campus, wish he would be teaching math 92G so I could take him again. I recommend him to everyone.

This was a in class Hybrid course, and although we did everything online, He would change dates of assignments and allowed those who fell behind to catch up. He is very chill guy and easy going.

I honestly hate math, but Prof. Broyles is THE BEST math teacher i've ever had. I can't say much Prof. Broyles as a professor as I took the internet class. As someone who has never been good at math, it is safe to say that this is the most enjoyable way for me to learn it. However, there are WAY TOO MANY problems on the homework. Spending 2 hours on an assignment with 50+ problems is mentally tiring.

Prof. Broyles has to be one of the best math teachers I have ever had. He explains things really clearly and allows a "cheat sheet" on every test. You do need to attend every class to pass though and do your homework. If I did every homework assignment, I would've had an A instead of a B. Work hard and you'll get an A. Online class is heavy work. You learn a lot but I would recommend taking on campus.

Amazing math professor. He loves to get to the student level in order to help them understand. Oh and he loves math. You get cheat sheets for all exams and the final, Do all homework and make sure you have the right answer via back of the book for easy point. You do need to study and get to know your calculator.

I took Broyles for 38A and taking him again for Stats. He's a really fair professor and as long as you do your part then you're sure to get a good grade. Currently taking math 92s online with Broyles. It has been a hard class but ok so far. However, I just found out that the final exam worth a lot of point is an in class exam. if you miss the exam or get below 50 percent you automatically fail the course!! what a joke! I did all that work and could be for nothing. wish I knew earlier so I could drop

He is super laid back, I was late to every class and he never got bothered by that. He doesn't count attendance as part of your grade ( was absent a lot) but you gotta show up in order to have a better grade. He is the epitome of the perfect teacher! He's not mean, he know's his stuff,he doesn't expect much, hes hot, and polite.

This teacher knows the material well and does a good job in explaining it to the class. He's always prepared and has a positive attitude; despite when he sees a student divide a numerator by zero. I would recommend, the material itself is difficult but let the professor help and you'll get the grade that you like.

Don't think twice about taking him or not. You'll never regret it! The professor knows the materials very well. Got a question? He would drop everything and will help you! Don't expect this class to be an easy A. If you come to every class session, take good notes, and STUDY, then you're good. I wish he teaches 38B. :(

I took Broyles in the Fall for PreCal38A and again this semester for Stats so you know he's good. His lectures are to the point and he explains the material thoroughly. He has a lot of patience and wants everyone to succeed so don't be afraid to ask questions. Again, this review had nothing to do with how cute he is. Take him you won't regret it!

I took this class online. It is a lot of work. I would not suggest taking it online unless you can't get to a campus. Lots of homework and looking for answers for your formulas will only hurt you. Study hard I promise it will pay off. Broyles is helpful but firm available any time. Final is in person he is clear on final instructions.

Took him two semesters one hybrid one all online. Probably take the hybrid class with him before taking the online class. You will know what to expect. work every day and stay ahead of the deadlines it's lots of work but I like Pearson. Broyles is a very nice man and always would answer my questions. Another best teacher in this college. He gave you extra credit. His lecture is clean and easy understanding. He taught so good that I almost scored perfect score on every test. Then at the end of his class I got lazy for homework, so I just not didn't do them. Still got A !

I am not even completed with this class yet but I can say from experiences with other math professors at Delta that he is one, if not the best! His lectures are a bit fast but they are super clear and the methods he uses are the easiest! You will understand the first time and you won't have to teach yourself. He wants his students to succeed.

I have a hard time with math and if you are like me, he's the teacher to take. Do the homework, study for the final and there should be no reason not to pass. It was evident that he wanted us to succeed. I actually learned something in his class, unlike others. He communicated regularly via email and provided a great study guide for the final.

this teacher is BLISS.. assigns four tests but gives excellent partial credit for trying. the class can get pretty enjoyable; he cracks a joke here and there but really does care about his students being on the same page with the lecture

I took an online class with him for Math092S. If you are planning to do the same, DO IT! Homework is simple. Test and Quizzes are also easy as well and they are like less than 20 question. There are also video lessons showing you how to do each lesson which is really useful. 30 question final. He is the best online math teacher I have ever had.

I remember taking this class in highschool and being horribly lost, but somehow Broyles is able to break it down in a way that makes it so much easier to understand. I took class online, lots of homework but it was a summer class. He lets us use one 4x6 card with notes which was helpful, final has to be in person. He definitely grades on the curve. Glad I took him, he is nice and good at emailing back!

He is an excellent teacher. He cares about his students. Math is not a easy subject but he makes learning interesting and comprehensible. It is easy to ask him questions and he gives you clear answers that will help you solve your problem. He is a fair grader and even will give you partial credit if he sees youre close to the right answer.

So, my rating is long overdue, I took his stats class in 2015. Mr. Broyles is a compassionate and intelligent instructor. I was in his office just about every week because he was truly the best tutor to have. Go to class and do the homework, the tests and quizzes are not hard if you really study and try. He's pretty funny too :)

Professor Broyles is a wonderful teacher. He gives you every chance to pass his class, except for cheating. Who doesn't work to earn what they deserve? My problem was, I couldn't get the hang of Math. For me, he was just hard. But he gave me every opportunity to get. He'll meet with you, allow you to attend his other classes and works with you.

Professor Broyes uses the easiest methods to solve problems. He is funny and cares about student success. He does not like a lot of questions because he'll interpret it as unpreparedness. The class is difficult because you learn something radically new every week- the class average was a D. He gives partial credit but uncompromising on standards.

He will not drop you if you are ahead or on time with your assignments. Professor Broyles is a great professor for online. my only pet peeve was towards the end of the semester, he gave out almost 40 homework problems a night, they are due every night, 5 days a week most times. It was hard to keep up, but it was very easy.

Its been 5 years since my first semester in college. I took Professor Broyles my first semester and it was my favorite class of all time! I sure do miss his character. He is a genius. TAKE HIM.

His my professor for MATH 90 and he is really good in teaching. He give you the easiest way to solve a problem or equation. In giving test and exams, he wants you to show your work. He doesn't give multiple choices on exams. He lets you know if you needed a que cards.

You can really tell that he loves teaching! His lectures are great and really helpful. he tries to make sure that every student understands the material and genuinely wants every student to pass. There were about 5 tests and a homework assignment due every Monday. He also gave pop quizzes (but he hints around the times that he will be giving them).

BEST Math 38B class! YOU DON'T NEED TO LOOK FOR ANY OTHER CLASS! I wish I took 38A with him, I would've been set. But just do the homework and the study guides he gives and your set for the class.

He would find a way to connect it to our life and despite what has happened with COVID-19 he made great adjustments to transferring the course online. We had four exams, final, weekly quizzes, and homework problems. Overall, great professor.

This was one of the best math classes I have ever taken. Professor Broyles gives good examples of the material and explains dry math concepts in a fun way. There are no surprises on the exams-- Just make sure you show up to every lecture and take notes for the homework. Also he encourages asking questions in class to make sure concepts are grasped.

Took his Math 12 class online, it was a good class. It was well organized as homework was due each day it was assigned and had paper quizzes as well as chapter quizzes each week. I thought I would struggle since Math is really my least favorite subject and I ended up doing the opposite passing with a high grade.

He is absolutely amazing! He helped me understand the hardest subject which was math for me. He Was so helpful and caring and made it much more understandable. He wants you to pass and is available for extra help.

Never been too good at math but prof Broyles really made it easy for me. Was always willing to jump in a zoom meeting or email over some help. Participate and be proactive with work and you'll pass! Also really concise with video lectures, and teaches calculator hacks to make class much easier.

Prof Broyles is super caring and organized. We had assignments and quizzes/exams all on MyLab and short weekly paper quizzes. For the quizzes, you can turn them in early and hell give you another chance to correct it. He responds pretty quick and is always willing to help you.

Class is fully online with corequisite support. The workload is light for a 4 Unit class. The class content is rudimentary. Homework heavy, it often gets tedious, but it definitely helps on quizzes and tests. Tests are easier than homework. The corequisite class helped a little bit. we can finish all assignments & test more than once before finals.

Professor Broyles has been the best math teacher I've had so far! The work he assigns is fairly light, usually due Sunday at 11:59. He teaches the content very well. I would've failed this class without his short video lectures that explain everything very well. His teaching is short and straight to the point. No need to watch 2 hour long lectures when he teaches everything in under 15 minutes. If you learn the material well you'll do fine. The final is 10% of the grade.

Everything is done on a calculator so make sure you have the exact model on hand. Tests are simple too. I no longer have nightmares about doing Stats!

He is easy to contact, talk to and great at explaining the work that needs to be done. He gives you multiple tries on the homework to get full credit. Gives about 2 tries on the chapter tests, before the test you can do the practice test to have a better chance of a higher grade.

This was the independent type of class where all the modules were open. If you had a question he would answer it in a reasonable amount of time with clear explanations. Had a few print out quizzes, which had to upload and submit. nothing crazy, if I had to I would take him again

10-week class. Graphing Ti-84 is strongly recommended. Free online textbook. 10 easy quizzes. Homework is easy if you watch his quick lecture videos. Responds to emails in hours or the next day. 5 exams that can be attempted a second time. One final that can be taken only once. He also has practice exams and a practice final.

I recommend taking him just online, theres no need to go in person because he has recorded lectures that are EXACTLY the same what he teaches in person, if not youll be like me that lost points for missing class. Grading is very easy! Exams, and Quiz's are taken at home regardless if you take him in person or not :) Very easy pre-req for nursing!

Took Stats 2 times and failed. Took it this semester with Professor Broyles and easy A! Try to not miss class, he gives important information sometimes and it counts as points as well. No textbook for this course - everything you learn is from his lectures and he goes over them very fast in class. There is a class assignment after every class and that is his way of taking attendance. He knows his math and you just need to do your assignments, take the online tests, and come to class. He makes material easy to understand.

Awesome Professor, gives you the ability to work weeks ahead meaning all of the homework is remained open. Only the Exam is remained open until the due date, otherwise homework available to be done within a month if you have time.

The BEST! Explains things clearly and purposefully. Uses pretty much only calculator. I was nervous about stats from failing with a different prof but it ended up being pretty easy! I took the class that goes one time a week in person and it was perfect! But he also has pre-recorded lectures in case needed. take his class.

This class is fairly easy but veryyy time consuming. You can do the assignments at your own pace, online textbook is provided but I recommend doing the assignments while watching the lectures. There's a quiz assigned at the end of every week which aren't hard and tests every other week or so based on the past chapters.

Overall great teacher, but attendance is mandatory and he won't let you retake the in person assignment if you were absent, no exceptions which is really annoying. For the most part is understanding but just make sure to turn things in on time he makes it pretty easy to pass his class. Wish he taught calculus I'd definitely take his class for that

I am grateful that I took Jason. He gets to the point and follows math problems exactly as they are so you get points easily. I don't like math but I could understand it. One thing I will say is to not use a notebook for this class. Printing out the hw and practice exams is a must. Hw isn't exactly the same as the exam so practice exams are a must.

Gets straight to the point and is very enthusiastic about what he teaches! He wants to see his students succeed and offers practice exams that are almost same as actual exams. Requires you to use a calculator which can be rented out. Attendance and participation is a must, and he is very reasonable so don't be afraid to reach out to him. Best prof!

This class is perfect, except that there are 9 assignments due by the end of the week. Every Sunday, they are due by midnight, but he does offer extensions on the homework. I'm taking the class for summer currently and he's a very good professor.
