New prof from Austin. Looks to young to have a Ph.D. Very leniant, laid back and easy going. EVERYTHING that is on the review sheet is on the exams so show up to class to make sure you get them. Notes are on powerpoint pres that are posted online. I would definitely recommend him for POLS. Take him if u dont want to stress.

Professor Caro really makes students think in his American Political Thought class. He has some unorthodox ideas, however, his seminar style class spawns interesting class discussions. Keep an open mind!

Very easy class. Exam reviews are EXACTLY like the actual exam (word for word!). Quizzes are online and somewhat based on group exercises. His jokes are sometimes corny. He's kinda cute but a little weird. His PHD was probably in sarcasm. However overall I definitely recommend him. You should have no problem getting a decent grade in this class.

I recommend taking his course. The assignments were fairly easy and as long as you attend class, you will have no problem with the quizzes. He's can also be funny when lecturing which helps if you are not interested in politics.

Good professor. He allows for alot of student questions which usually lead to alot of heated debates. Class is not alway very intereting though. test reviews are the exact same as the test, just without answer choices. do the review correctly n ur guaranteed at least a B on the test. One paper due the whole semester and it only has to be 2 pages.

Good professor, teaches well and keeps the class interesting. 9 Online quizzes, but are fairly easy. Review sheets are available for tests, you just have to find the answers and study straight from them. 1 paper due, not hard. He's great, take him.

He is a VERY easy class. Study the review and you will do fine. He does his lectures on powerpoint , that is online as well.

Check his ratings from UTSA, to get a balanced view. He is a fairly good teacher. Easy A.He is very opinionated, sarcascic in a funny way. I noticed that he can be vengeful i.e he was lecturing one day and offended some students, who walked out of class. When they walked out he took roll which he never does. I can only imagine their grades.

Class is always fun and his quizzes are easy as long as you attend class and are there for group activities which are also fun. I took him for the 2nd part of government and he is easy. Make sure you go to class though because the quizzes are on some group activities. The test are exactly like the review so do those too. You will need the book for the review. Overall he was great.

I love professor Caro, he is so funny, he makes class interesting and its very easy to learn. I had him for poly sci 2303. There are 3 test to take and one essay at the end of the semester.

Fairly easy class, do your reviews prior to each test and you'll real good. Funny Guy! One Paper which he grades fairly hard on it. Would recommend! You should have no problem achieving an A in class!

I loved his class he is truly an amazing professor, very smart, pretty hot, funny man.i took him for both pols classes and i learned alot. I highly recommend his classes you have overall 3 tests, some quizzes, and no final so thats a plus also.

Haha he was so Awesome within the first week of taking POLS 1 that went ahead and signed up for his POLS 2 also. Taking him for both classes in one semester was a life altering experience. He is so smart and wickedly hilarious. Class is not a piece of cake, you do have to work hard on reviews and projects. I hope he teaches other history subjects!

Awesome Teacher!!! If he taught other subjects, I would take him. He made a boring subject very interesting. It is obvious he does care about what he teachers, and cares about what you learn.

Anytime someone mentioned him I busted out laughing because it was so much fun in his class, We learned so much about everything going around us such as economy etc.. Dr. Caro is extremely funny and he made us laugh every class period. His reviews are exactly like the exams which can be an easy A. The quizzes on Vista can be kind of hard and not make sense, so I suggest you get someone's number so yall can on it together. I passed his class with an A, so I recommend you take him.

When I first started college, I really thought I had the best professor. This is my second year of college. I took Caro Spring 2011. Wow. I can definitely say by far knocks out all the professors that I've had. He is THE BEST professor I have ever had. I came in the class not caring about politics. Came out thinking politics into that bad!RECOMMEND

Great professor! Makes government fun and interesting! If you don't really like government too much, try taking his class. I didn't like government but being in his class influenced me to keep an open-mind about politics. It's actually not that bad! 3 exams + one paper.

Great funny professor.

He is the best political science teacher ever, he is super easy and always says " Welcome Students, welcome to the learning enviorment of success." He goes through to politcal news everyday. Im so glad i took him, I highly recommend him for anyone that doesnt like boring lectures.

He's a pretty funny professor who has a lot of knowledge about politics. I'll recommend y'all to take his class. You'll do good if you show up for his class everyday.

Loved this class. Definitely need to do some work and there's one paper you have to write but I really didn't mind coming to class. He makes the class interesting and I learned so much! The only thing that I didn't like was that he doesn't let you choose your group partners for group discussions. But I would take his class again anyday.

Yet again one of the best profs at UH-D. He makes the material easy to understand, while being a bit dorky and funny on the side. There is no better way to learn than having a professor that keeps his students engaged on the material. Not the hardest class, but you will have to do some studying of your own. Not impossible to make an A.

Must buy the book if you want to pass the course. Great professor, really opened my mind up to politics and he makes the class fun. Wish he taught more classes I would take him again. Lots of group discussions, online quizzes, 4 exams, 1 paper.

Very laid back teacher don't even need to show up to class as he gives reviews for his test and all his tests are straight out the book. He gives some in class activities to better understand the topic afterwards a quiz will be posted on blacboard to within a week. Great professor, definatly take him for 2305

Prof Caro is super easy! He tries his best to make political science as easy as possible. Test reviews are copies of the test without answers but the answers come from the textbook not lectures so you'll have to read. Does lots of group work and gives quizzes based on group activity regularly.

Professor Caro is by far the best teacher I have had. He is funny and always sets you up for "ultimate student success." I highly recommend taking his classes.

The reason why I loved coming to this class was because the professor knew how to make the lectures interesting and funny. He has this awkward and weird personality but he is also humorous. I found the reviews to the exam VERY helpful and I have learned so much in this class. An asset to this university. RECOMMEND!

The bad: weird sense of humor that borderlines condescending. He treats all students like they are brain dead. His lectures have nothing to do with the tests. The good - He gives you a review sheet that is basically the test, use the book and memorize the answers... If your looking for an easy A and can ignore his rude comments, thentake his class!

Only memorize the review for exams, his powerpoints are not covered on the exam, nor are the quizzes. 2 EXAMS .One position paper which is graded heavily. The rest of your grade comes from quizzes that are online, answers to these are given in class when you do group activities. Really laid back class Does not respond to email. Use quizzlet.

TAKE THIS CLASS Caro is amazing, quizlet is all I gotta say Quizzes once a week and a few worksheets in class, study guides and tests match hallelujah... He's one of the professors that understands life and wants to actually help his students be successful. I actually learned stuff and got an A. wow school rocks

Study Outlines have the exact Qs that will be on the 2 exams. Weekly quizzes: make sure to come to class or else you will not know As. 1 paper. Gave about 3 chances for extra credit (3ptsif you present, 1 pt if you ask a question to the presenter; 30 pts added to avg of quiz grd to 1 group; 30 pts added to avg of quiz grd to half the class.)

I am not a fan of PS but he made the class manageable. Theres only 1 test and the final!! He gives reviews and the reviews are exactly like the test. You dont need the book for the class but you do when checking the answers for the review. theres weekly quizzes which you need to go to class to understand and pass the quiz.

Does a lot of group work assignments. MAKE SURE YOU COME TO CLASS, his weekly exams are from what you learn in class. You cant google search anything, I tried believe me. He sounds like Bob Ross, and his class was very enjoyable and easy. Reviews are exactly the same for the test

Great teacher no complaints, but you do need to read the books he says they will be your essays. also come to class he talks about the reading and tells jokes and will go down the attendance list asking questions to every single person in the class.

Assignments were clear from day one, there were two textbooks used, one film. They are all enjoyable reads, it is best if you read and don't fall behind. Weekly quizzes are all chapter based. There are monthly news updates, which is a discussion post. Everything is very straightforward and easy to understand. How well you do is all up to you.

Professor Caro was a character of a professor but super easy and chill. He has an interesting awkward personality but he will make ya laugh once in a while during lectures. A LOT of people don't care about their students, this one does!!!!! yes, I have a low grade in the class but that is because I was working 2 jobs and I had family matters to deal with. At one point in his class, I had 7 missing assignments and he heard me out and reopened them for me, taking some points off for lateness of course.

Caro's course was very easy but also confusing. I had him for hybrid classes and met only once a week. 90% of his grade is just weekly pop quizzes based off group activities so if you take him make sure to not miss his lectures. He gave 5 extra points on your entire grade if you presented your controversial topic. his exams are based off the review

The grades were mainly from the quizzes he would give after lectures and he would give us the answers for them in the lecture through group exercises. The Reviews he gives for the exam and the final are EXACTLY like the exams except the review is fill-in-the-blank and the test is multiple choice. He is hilarious and cares about about his students.

Professor Caro's class is a solid option if you're looking for an easy credit. While the material can be dry at times, his weekly quizzes and study guides make it manageable. unstuck study was a huge help with exam prep.
