Best teacher i ever had. i did learn a lot from him. you don't have to learn material to be learning something. he defiantly taught us that teachers can have fun with us, and still teach us as well. he is a great teacher, i will take him again!!

I love this guy. He is the nicest and friendliest teacher I have ever had. His class is easy, but you do learn stuff about race and things about the U.S. He's super sweet too! I really recommend his class.

One of my favorite teachers, very easy, very friendly, and you still learn a lot. Thea 201 is a great class to take for a multicultural credit, you'll spend more time watching movies and sitting around talking then anything else.

MY FAVORITE TEACHER OF ALL TIME!!! And he's hot; that doesn't hurt. Grades papers hard but he's still really helpful and sweet. You actually learn stuff. Also, when I got up in the mornings I WANTED to go to class because he's so much fun. (And did I mention he's hot.) ;)

Very fun teacher! He makes class fun where you actually want to go to class. He also cancels class alot. There was no book and he explains things thoroughly. Fairly hard grader on papers but very lenient on everything else, with lots of extra credit

Fun class. His expectations are very reasonable and he makes class enjoyable enough that you look forward to it. The guy below me is right, you'd be stupid not to take a course taught by Conner.

Very engaging, very funny, quite reasonable, unbeleivably helpful, and easy on the eyes. The two people b4 me are right, if you don't take his class you're crazy!

Easy class. Some of the quizzes is open, so take advantage, just have one person read the question outloud to the class and the class answer them. We had to watch about 3plays and write a paper on it($30 A.T). The paper isn't hard, just pay attention to the plays becuz the grading of the papers is hard. And the final project is to create a play. :-

It is impossible to fail this class, he gives extra credict that a re % points. He hardly gives homework and is very clear.

No books used. That's a plus. He gives you the grade you think you deserve, so of course that's an A. You don't need to participate and you don't really need to do well on the papers. Best class ever.

Very easy class. Quizes over plays you read from the book, but if you go to shows during the semester, you can get enough extra credit that you really don't have to do anything in the class. Extremely fun guy, cusses sometimes. He wants you to come to class, and will make it fun for even non-theatre majors.

Jay is a fun loving guy, has lots of fun teaching and tells plenty of stories to grasp the attention of the lost/meandering minds to draw them back in so he can teach. He does swear quite often but it isn't every other word like people on here say. Will stop in middle of class, do some off the wall thing to wake you then goes back to teaching.

Not much to say about J that has not already been said. He's a fun and laid back teacher. Gets stuff done and makes you want to brag to your friends about how cool he is. Good guy and understanding. His grading on papers is tough though and he won't accept late papers unless you have an extension approved. Great teacher. Take this.

I'm sure if you have read the past ratings, you can see that J is an amazing teacher. He is really cool, funny, and easy. I got an A because grades don't really mean anything to him. Just go to all the plays, write the papers and take all the tests and you will get an A or B with minimal effort

J is seriously the best professor at Western. He's a badass and he knows how to have fun in class and still get the point across. This is my second semester at Western, but I'm seriously going to take every class he teaches. He's such a chill guy and he definitely calls it like he sees it. And his stories are THE BEST. My favorite teacher so far at Western. Entertaining and informative. Fair grader, but strict attendance policy. His tests were open note. The quizzes were not. I can't say I liked the plays we read but his lectures and discussions were always good. If you attend the class regularly, and pay attention, you will learn the material.

Just a warning about J Conner. He does go on tangents. This throws some people, but he does bring everything back together in the end. So what you thought was a random story actually does have a point. He's really good at job.

I had an issue with Western that didn't even have anything to do with his class and I came to him for advice. He not only gave me good advice but he also solved the problem. Conner is the best.

Conner is a great professor and you'll have a ton of fun in his class. it is nearly impossible to fail this class, if you do its clearly your fault because you never have another class that is easier than this one. The G.O.A.T.

Jay was awesome. He's funny and always made the lectures interesting. The class was like an hour and 30 minutes long and he made me not even want to touch my phone. The stories he told always made me laugh and made me actually engage in the lesson he was teaching. He takes attendance randomly for points so just go. You'll actually want to go.

Absolutely love him! He tells hilarious stories and always makes you laugh, but still manages to actually teach. I am a science major and theater is my favorite class this semester. Very laid back and understanding. Pop quizzes are open note and in groups. One paper, one midterm. Takes attendance occasionally but I never want to skip.

He is a great teacher. His classes are very enjoyable and overall great. I did not have any problems with him and I would highly recommend taking him if you need a theater credit. If you complete the work necessary you will pass without a problem. He is also a very open person, if you are up for a laugh, take him.

He is hilarious, he uses his real life stories to relate to the class (he has insane stories), gets you up and acting, and is the most entertaining person I have ever met. Best teacher, hands down! I only took his class for a random elective, but I am beyond glad I did. His class was on the other side of campus from me and I walked there everyday, excited to go to class and hear another one of his stories. Always cracked me up. Especially during our first year of COVID, he was someone that lifted my spirits.

Loved having JConner my first semester freshman year. easy class for gen eds and he always has a funny story to tell. I definitely would recommend for incoming freshman as it's an easier class with fun assignments and can really help with acclimating to college and easing into college classes
