He was not the best teacher I ever had, but I can't complain. He was pretty harsh on grading sometimes, but he was there if you needed a little extra help. He's not the best teacher, but i wouldnt say hes the worst.

Jason is a solid teacher. A great lecturer and keeps you interested. Face it, math is not easy at CLC, but Jason is as good as it gets. High recommendation for anybody who wants to learn. He will respond to email questions.

One of the best teachers I have taken! He will do anything he can to make you understand. Homework is optional. Just a great teacher. I am in my 3rd semester with him.

i was in his class for his first time teaching calc 2. he's slightly awkward at first but went way beyond my expectations. extremely helpful and easily aproachable, always people in his office. amusing and friendly in class. homework optional but necessary for a high grade. it's a difficult class, but jason makes it more amusing than usual.

This is my second semester with Jason, he's a great teacher! Makes class fun and all the quizes are based off homework problems so do the homework!! The tests can be hard, but its calculus, so its ganna be hard. But he answers any questions and makes sure you know whats going on. Take him if you can.

Jason was awesome. One of the best math teacher i have ever had. And I have had alot of awesome math teacher. You just gotta study in class. It was an easy A for me too. He curbed it from a 89.3 :)

Great teacher. First time teaching Calc 2 and did an awesome job. Loved his grading policy. He dropped one test and drops two quizzes. Funny guy and great teacher overall.

Mr. Hasbrouck is by far the best math teacher i have ever had hands down. if i was you i would make sure to get him as your math teacher while you still can!!!

I took this class online...the online class is CONVENIENT but i started having trouble after the second test. Jason has after hours tutoring to help which should be utilized, over all the class is easy, the teacher is helpful, all you have to do is ask for help and you will receive it. Great class and teacher.

very nice, never gets angry! very relaxed atmosphere. notes are orderly and easy to follow. grading is fair, tests are not the easiest, but no surprises. I would take him again!

calc II- Jason is a great teacher! He always tries to give as many examples as possible and explains how to do them very well. He's a great guy and is always available for help. He loves what he does and he's good at it! enjoyed taking his class

Jason is a fun teacher and quite clear. He will challenge you on the exams though and they are l-o-n-g, so work fast! This class requires a lot of hard work to get an A, but it is certainly possible. I found that he is a very fair grader and gives you plenty of ways to get in touch with him, should you need any additional help. I recommend him.

Jason is really nice, but gives way too much homework. Although the homework is always "optional",he give homework quizzes that are completely based off of your homework.

Outstanding teacher. Jason is VERY enthusiastic about math and he cares about his students. He makes class fun and is very clear. Tests are challenging and you have to work hard, but he's a fair grader. NOT an easy class, but if you're struggling, go to his office-he will help you out in every way that he can. I can't say this enough-TAKE JASON!

Calculus is pretty hard but Mr. Hasbrouck was able to make it so I understood. I could spend time in his office. There were lots of us that would ask questions and spend time in his office, especially before quizzes and exams.

I took it online and was very scared to begin with since I am horrible at math. Jason made it so easy, the videos he posted of notes really helped, along with review sheets and anything you needed to be successful! He communicated his deadlines very well and what he expected. I got an A in the class, I have NEVER got an A in a math class!

Wonderful instructor! I had a million questions and sent him tons of emails. He answered every one to my satisfaction. There was never a concept he didn't explain thoroughly and clearly. Nice guy too. :) Highly recommend Jason.

I?ve had Jason for three semesters now and in every class that I took with him, he has been friendly, helpful, fair, and he does a good job of explaining things. No matter how many questions I had, he always took the time to help me out. Definitely loves the subject. Take him if you can!

Mr. Hasbrouck was a really helpful teacher. He encourages you to ask questions, and is really there for you. Calculus is not an easy subject, so obviously this class is not an easy A.

I am so glad that I had Mr. Hasbrouck for MTH 108. I really struggle with Math, but he explained it in such a way where it was easier to comprehend. I absolutely recommend him. He's funny and you will enjoy going to his class.

Best math class I've taken. Math is not my strength, but Jason made it so much fun. You can be the dumbest person on the planet, and he will still explain things clearly. Just make sure you take notes and are on track with the subject at hand. GREAT TEACHER!!!!

Best math teacher I've ever met. His lectures were very clear, easy to understand, and funny. Tests and quizzes will be fairly easy unless you frequently miss classes. Easy A guaranteed class. You will never want to miss any class. Take him!!!

Most amazing math professor ever! I hated math before I took it with him. He kept the class entertained and every class I was either laughing or smiling the whole time! He was so helpful and clear on what he expects out of his students. If you take him you'll never walk into his class thinking "wow this class sucks"

Jason is an awesome guy. I took Calc 1, 2, and 3 with him and his classes were always fun. Always there to help and wants you to succeed. His tests were challenging but if you do the homework and and make the effort to understand concepts you will be fine. Favorite professor at CLC.

Jason is a awesome teacher! But what nobody warns you about is how hard of a grader he is. He marks off for the stupidest things so you dont get 100%. His Test are horrible too. His final took 4 hours it was horrible. Besides his grading he is an amazing teacher. Just make sure you study like crazy!

One of the Best math teachers I have ever had, only equaled by his wife Kim Hasbrouck(who also teaches at CLC). very helpful regardless of when you need the help quick to reply with helpful constructive instruction.

OUTSTANDING PROFESSOR! I really loved his teaching style and personality. He really makes you understand the material and you can tell he loves what he does. I always caught myself smiling and laughing in each class because he is such an adorable funny man who really makes class a fun learning environment. TAKE HIM! You will learn a lot from him.

Jason is awesome!!! I took calc with him in the summer and even though it is a hard subject he managed to make it easier to understand. Great teacher! He also often makes jokes in class which are dorky but impossible not to laugh at haha. He's definitely one of the best professors CLC has! I would take him again!

This class was tough for being a math 108 class. Make sure you do your homework because he gives quizzes like no other. Always study for your tests. what I hated the most was this class was 2 12 hours long and he would take so long to go over one chapter, he's a very slow teacher and we were always behind the other classes.

OMG there is no better teacher in this school. i was an A student untill i took Mark smith, who ruined my gpa. but then i took Jason best teacher ever. YOU COULD NOT FIND A BETTER TEACHER THAN HIM

Jason is an incredible math professor, easily the best I've ever had. Calc 2 is hard, but he teaches in a way that makes it easier and he never fails to make you smile during a lesson. He also bends over backwards to help you if you ask for it. Like any other class, work hard and you will succeed. I liked math before Calc 2, but now I love it!

If you get the chance to take Jason- do not pass it up! He is by far one of the best math professors there is! His classes are always fun and he never fails to make you laugh. If you need help, he goes above and beyond to make sure you understand. Great professor, would take again in a heart beat!

He is a MUST sign up. His lectures are great. He uses different colored markers and is very thorough. He even goes over any material from MTH 102 to refresh your memory! Up to 14 quizzes, but they are from the homework and he lets you copy from your notebook onto the quiz. This will help your grade if you are a terrible test taker.

Jason is by far the BEST teacher I've ever had. He is absolutely hilarious and made the entire 3 hr class as entertaining as possible. You can tell he really loves his job and all his students. I was going into the last test with a 69% and with his help i pulled my grade up to an 80. Hes hands down the most amazing teacher ive had. Take his class!

DE is my second class with Jason (Calc 2 was my first). Never have I met a more passionate professor. You'll become excited just by seeing him get excited over math (yes, it happens all the time!!). His style of teaching, coupled with his wonderful sense of humor makes class time FUN. In short, he makes mathematics a thing of beauty. 1010.

Mr. Hasbrouck is probably one of the best math teachers I've ever had. He's really upbeat, clear, and friendly. The only negative is that he's apparently really busy, and apart from his online office hours contacting him is pretty difficult. Also, homework quizzes make up a significant portion of your grade, so it is mandatory. You'll be busy.

Calc 3 was my 3rd and last class with Jason (now moving on to a university). THE best professor you can take. Calc is not meant to be easy, but Jason teaches it in a way that makes it really fun. He's always there to help you too. I don't think I'll have this awesome experience again with any other professor. I'll miss his classes.

Jason is by far the best math teacher I've ever had! He wants nothing more than to see his students succeed and is more than willing to help his students if any of them are struggling during his office hours. You must do his homework and study for his tests because he challenges his students, but you won't regret taking his class!! :)

Jason is a great professor, you can tell by the end of the first lecture. It's obvious that he loves what he teaches, he is always up-beat and excited to teach. He wants all of his students to be as excited about math as he is. I highly recommend taking him if you have the opportunity, whether you're good at math or not. 10 out of 10.

Had Jason for 2 years of calculus , and all I can say is awesome. Great guy and if you do not already love math this guy will make you fall in love with it. Very energetic, funny and knowledgeable. Take him if you can!

Jason is an amazing professor. I took him for pre calc and if he taught calc 1 I would've taken it with him in a heartbeat. He makes class fun because he is hilarious. This class is something you have to work at though. If you dont show up to class, dont expect to do well. Jason is really helpful and flexible to help you if you do miss class.

I took Mr. Hasbrouck for Pre-Calc and I enjoyed having him as a professor. If you show up to class and do your homework, there is no reason not to get a B or higher.

The best math teacher, ever! I was about to change my career because math is not an easy subject for me and I had struggled so much with another math professors. But when I took his class I actually got motivated to continue pursuing my goals and now I am ready to take my next math class. Truly, his teaching style is the best!

I took his online class. He is okay at getting back with emails. Weekly homework assignments, occasional quizzes, 3 exams and 1 final. Exams and final were taken on campus. Weekly homework assignmensts helped me with quizzes, exams and final. Don't get behind, ask for help! They key here is to ask for help. It is a math class. I recommend him!

I took this class while in San Diego and Jason was awesome at being flexible with me when it came to getting my exams proctored. He was inconsistent on what day the week started, but other than that he was great. He gave us as many resources as he could to help us learn the material

Jason is awesome one of the best professors I have had. He makes you look forward to every class. He explains things very well and gives great examples. He is willing to work with you outside of class if do not understand something. If you are thinking about taking Jason do it. He will make you love math.

As with any math class, if you don't show up, you probably won't do so hot. That being said, Prof. Hasbrouck is a fantastic teacher. He gives quick refreshers old concepts that you may have learned years ago that are super helpful, instead of the usual "you should have learned this already" from most math teachers. Highly recommend him.

Calc 2 is a challenging subject, so show up for lecture but he is also available outside class to explain anything that was missed. Quizzes are literally copying down homework problems. He is a very generous grader and teacher. Always available to help after class and during office hours. If you have the chance take your class with him.

A great person, a little disorganized for summer classes. He loves to teach, and is very excited about it, but could drop off on tangents almost every class which would leave not as much time to learn material.

If you're here deciding what professor you need for your college math course, look no further, Jason is THE best. Jason cares tremendously for his students, and if he sees effort he will always be there to help. He will take time out of his day to help no matter what. I recommend using his office hours, those help a ton!!!!

Very enthusiastic about math, loves what hes doing. His exams/quizzes are based of the homework he assigns so youll definitely want to do it. Easy to talk to; responds fast to emails. In conclusion math is now fun. Ø

His lectures are easy to follow. If you do the homework you should be fine. Quick with grading/responding to emails. The review exams are similar to the real exams so I'd definitely recommend doing them. He is very funny and enthusiastic! Offers extra credit too! Overall he's a 10/10!!!

Jasons great and funny teacher eand loves math! Online is never good, but making the best of it, and he's pretty understanding. Tests are worth a lot, but study guides help a lot. Funny and passionate about math. His notes are great, but if you skip class it would be hard to pass.

3 exams and 1 final exam but he drops your lowest grade and replaces it with your final exam grade. Also drops your lowest 3 homework grades. I learn better in person so I would attend his zoom lectures. He loves math and really wants students to understand. I recently just had a baby and he was super flexible with me! Prof. Hasbrouck is great!

I dropped this course due to outside circumstances, that being said I highly recommend this profesor. He connects with the students in a manner that creates a friendship bridge. His grading is very direct and understandable. The course is exam heavy so if u fail those ur out. His lectures are very easy to understand and he is always wanting to help

I had no business taking this math class, yet I managed to pull through. Jason cuts you quite a lot of slack. If I was able to do it, anyone can.

GREAT professor, take him if you can. He explains concepts clearly with lots of examples (which resemble hw and tests!), he makes sure students understand the material, he's very enthusiastic about the subject and honestly hilarious, expect lots of silly math humor. He's also a lenient grader, he'll give you partial credit wherever he can.

Take him!! Professor Hasbrouck is very considerate of grading. He responds to emails promptly and provides practice problems that are very similar to the tests. He also makes sure only to include the core topics on his exams, so you don't need to stress about learning every small theory or formula.
