Prof. Hendrickson is honestly one of the best prof. in lagcc. He's very clear, clever and wise. If you want to expand your mind while nurturing your linguistic abilities this is the prof for you!

Professor Hendrickson is an outstanding teacher. He is more than willing to help any students that are struggling with content or understanding an assignment. I would recommend taking any and all of his classes!

However B.S policy of his is mandatory outlines & making you re-write previous papers EVEN IF u got good grades on them initially. Will also fail u if u do not turn in ALL 6 papers.

His courses are life changing and he is knowledgable and trailblazing in his style. I feel like I learned more in this class than in the previous year at this college. However, It took him over a month to deliver the syllabus. He took ONE MONTH to grade my midterm paper, the final was due by the time he gave it back to me. This is unacceptable.

Intelligent, down to earth and overall great professor. His class is full of raw honesty and knowledge. Truthfully Participate & do your best work. Make the most out of strengthening any areas that you may be weak in as a writer. Do not ask when your paper will be graded. Like all good things in life, it will be ready at the right time.

I've been to 3 very different colleges and Hendrickson is easily one of the best professors I've ever had. He takes his job seriously, and it shows in his attentiveness to the topics discussed and how he interacts with students. I didn't finish the semester due to illness, but he was an advocate for me and I was very grateful for that.

He is one of the most influential professors I'v ever taken. Make sure you come to class ready to show effort and participation. Email him or talk to him whenever you need guidance because he is a tough grader but he values strong work ethic. He's funny and handsome aswell and I recommend him for any class he teaches especially Eng!

I took this Professor over the summer semester and it was amazing. Opened my eyes to so much more and his thought provoking lectures were a pleasure to be apart of. Doesn't hurt that he's possibly the best looking teach at LaGuardia with the brains to match. Would've liked an A instead of an A- but I didn't do the extra credit so it's my fault.

I had this professor twice and both times he has been helpful and i learned so much in his class. He gets emotional when he is teaching a subject that he is passionate about witch grabbed my attention and made me realize how important school is. best professor at LaGuardia and super attractive (that motivates students to go to class) LOL!

One of the most thorough, dedicated and engaging professors at LaGuardia. As long as you participate and are unafraid to speak your mind, you will not only get a good grade but also take something away from the class when it's over. Super relevant discussions in class. Take his classes as many times as you can.

Professor Hendrickson is the type of professor that if there's anything that you don't understand he'll be more than happy to help you until you understand it. He doesn't give tests but a few quizzes here and there. If you put in the effort you won't have a problem passing the class and if you rebooks that he asks you to read then it'll be easy.

Best prof on LaGuardia. He such a nice person and his teaching style is so interesting. He gives some short easy quizzes. You have to write one research paper, two other papers and the final is like a review of what you learned and it is really easy and fun. He gives great feedback. I learned a lot from him and I am happy I took his class.

marvelous prof. strange personality. inspiring and gives a expl! I learned ALOT in this class and improved my reading/writing skills. our class had interesting discussions and brilliant moments. He even gave me advice on skills that I thought I lacked which I will continue to develop and gave me hope. he is a SLOW grader but I highly recommend.

I took his class because of the other positive reviews he got. He sure didn't disappoint. He has amazing lectures about life, we also got to see documentaries about life experiences and wrote essays on it. He's a tough grader but he only does that so you can improve and work harder for what you want. He truly does care for the students tho.

I took prof. Hendrickson for ENG 101, and I must say he Is a great professor!!! He does make you work for your grade, and he is a hard grader especially when I think he knows you can do better. He is funny, relatable, and he keeps your attention. I would definitely take him again.

So I may sound dramatic but Professor Hendrickson changed my life. He broke down every thing we needed to do. He gave second chances and was the only professor I knew who took the time out of his day to email us stuff like websites or assignments. He honestly cares for his students. He does give a lot of work but Ive learned so much in this class

If you are looking to learn something about yourself or life, other than how to write, this is the class. He requires 100% participation; thoroughly grades each line of your paper and expects teamwork to play a big role in his lessons. He is young, creative, vibrant and relatable. He is understanding and genuinely takes pride in educating students

Best professor ever. Super caring, very funny, not mean at all. He keeps the lectures fun and interesting. Grades every sentence of your work to make sure you know what you're doing wrong. His quizzes are just based on grammar, weekly journal entries are just simple questions. One research paper in the end.

I took his Eng 101 class in my first semester and I am so glad that I did. He is an amazing professor who really cares about his students. His classes are very interactive and the way he teaches, is the best. You will never bored in his class. I promise.

I read couple comments about professor Hendrickson and he was said very strict about the grade. I was so afraid of that since I am a health science field and need good grade to enter my program. Indeed he has lots of paper to write but he is very good professor yet sometimes behind schedule. His class is not easy.

"What's the point of going to college if it's not to challenge yourself and your way of thinking?" This is what Prof Hendrickson said one time in class and it forever changed my way of looking at school work. You must take his class, it would be a disservice to your education if you don't. Great professor. Actually cares about his students and will help you with anything you need. Great professor especially during this pandemic and how hard everything is. The class itself is kinda hard considering it is level 2 english but he makes sure you need to know everything you need to in order to suceed.

Hands down one of the best teachers to take English with! His lecture are not boring. Participate, engage, dont miss class, dont miss an assignment and you will be ready to write his papers. BEST PROFESSOR EVER!! He cares about his students and wants to see them do well and he will provide help outside class for office hours. He is crystal clear when it comes to directions, he also has a great sense of humor and is easygoing. He is quite good-looking, a total sweetheart, and gives great speeches. This was the easiest college class I have ever taken. I am commenting as a native English speaker. There were very few assignments all semester so I would recommend for you to polish your essays and try to make them a little interesting. Classes were enjoyable if you like to participate. Overall, he makes this fun for a mandatory class.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND, really good at teaching and making sure students understand the topic. Hw is easy and no exam.

Easily the best professor I've had. His feedback on papers is really great; you can tell it's specific to the student's strengths. You're more likely to enjoy the class if you like participating. His grading system is pretty unique, but I'm not sure if it's something he's still doing.

He's knowledgeable, gives clear assignments, replies fast, and truly wants you to succeed. I don't know why there are bad reviews, his class is great if you participate and do the work.

Overall, he's a good and fair teacher. As long as you participate, show up to class (on time), and turn in quality work, you're sure to succeed. I will note that I did take his class during the summer, so I may have had a different experience than those taking his class during the fall semester.
