Jason is one of those instructors that make learning fun and challenging at the same time. I love his inside perspective due to his current career in the police force. I've continued to come back to his classes specifically because he's fair and understanding of the working student and also understands family life. Jason is a wonderful teacher

I am a terrible student. I hate showing to class. I don't do homework, and normally don't participate, but Jason pulls you from the groups individually to hear everyone's perspective, he makes you want to be there, and is more of a leader than a teacher.

It was a good class and I enjoyed his teaching style.

The many videos were interesting, but all the supplemental information required a slower student like me lots of extra time.

Enjoyed my class and the discussions with other mind sets in the class. It was nice as the time of class was right after getting off work and I did not even have to drive any where in order to attend my class.

I think that Jason did a good job getting us to engage in what the textbook is teaching us.

Jason was great with us all. He had an understanding that we all worked full time and had families so he was never on our backs. He was funny and had great in class discussions with us. He was easy to talk towns get a hold of if needed.

Great instructor! Weekly testsquizzes and discussion forums but if you are good about taking time each week to read and properly prepare, you will do fine. I would highly recommend this instructor and hope to take more classes from him in the future!

It would be helpful if Jason participated in giving feedback to discussion posts. While the students are responsible to respond to another student, Jason's input would be helpful in clarifying the topic at hand.

Jones is amazing as a teacher. I had a lot of outside things going on with my personal life as well as my family. He was very flexible and that made it so much easier for me to deal with everything. I only wish I could have done a better job of reflecting that appreciation.

Jason Jones is an exemplary professor who intelligently facilitates our learning process so that we might garner a deeper understanding of the subject matter. With our weekly forum, Jason sparked meaningful conversation on complex issues, often challenging our assumptions and gave us new perspectives on which to consider. Thank you so much Jason!

The additional materials Prof Jones provided each week including, articles, audio/video lectures, and suggestions for additional sources of information really helped with my understanding of the material.

Excellent communication with Jason via email, very helpful and responsive. Loved his lecture videos and he chose the most amazing things for us to read, very educational and insightful!! I'd enjoy more classes taught by him, I learned a lot and his way of providing information suited my style to a T! Thanks, Jason, for a great semester!

Great Professor

Strongly disagree with not being able to go back over tests before submitting them. I know I personally missed a couple of questions because I was unable to change my answer when I clicked on the wrong answer because it was very similar to the correct answer. I am one who likes to go through the entire test at least one time before submitting .

Professor Jones was knowledgable about the subject matter. His PowerPoint presentations were informative and interesting. I would take another class from him in the future.

As a busy dad with a 2 year old at home, being able to do a course completely online was amazing! And Mr Jones was a fantastic guide through my first course like this. I'm more likely to do more classes. Thank you Mr Jones!

Expect to read a lot but all is relevant to the class, and expect to watch long videos but all are entertaining. Quizzes on every chapter assigned. Lastly gives good feedback on forums.

I really enjoyed the class. I loved that Jason Jones posted the next assignments early to help us know what to expect for the next week and to plan ahead for that assignment. I loved that he was prompt with grading. My last instructor took four weeks to grade a forum. How can one improve if it takes that long to get feedback.

Great class! I definitely learned a lot about our government that I didn't know. He had specific reading and videos to watch that complimented the lecture, but further research and reading was necessary.

I had fun and the work was not too bad. Very easy to get help when needed and great communication.

Very well done. Although our classes were done online, you could still tell that he cared about the students, and he was passionate about the course given- which is extremely rare. If given the chance, I would take another class of his again.

Jason is a great instructor. He was always prepared and gave very informative lectures. His weekly assignments were challenging and rewarding. I would defiantly take another course with him.

Each week, the instructor uploaded videos and supplemental articles for us to better prepare for the weekly quizzes. Failure to watch these videos will lead to poor grades. The videos appear to be recorded recently, and so the instructor is involved and not reusing the same videos term after term.

I liked that Mr. Jones was professional but cared about the work that he put into this class and really cared if we understood everything we needed to do. Excellent job!

Had no previous experience with Mr. Jones, but was very pleased that the course was not going to be a cake walk as had previous on-line courses. Very clear and concise syllabus, and instructions for assignments were well explained and detailed. Had a great experience in the class, and would take another class in the future from Mr. Jones.

Easy class to manage, enjoyed the lectures.

Made me think about things and search for information. The ONLY issue I had with this instructor was the movie references. I have not seen ANY of the movies he talked about or had clips of so I could not relate them to the course. It was annoying and I do not think Hollywood movies should be used since not all watches that garbage.

Good class

Jason Jones is one of those rare teachers who you can tell really puts a good amount of effort into his teaching. His lectures are informative and well structured for taking notes, and Jason keeps it interesting. As you learn from Jason it is clear that you are learning from a man with real-world experience, not just a guy with a teaching degree.

Besides textbook chapters, Mr. Jones also adds links to support the material and help the students understand the textbook more. He's a good instructor, I hope I have him again. The only thing I ask is for more feedback. Not paragraphs, but a couple sentences. I mostly received one-liners, although, I did understand what he was looking for.

The class was fun, and provides a lot of information. His use of modern day events helps keep the course relevant and engaging. Definitely would want to have him again as a teacher.

The lectures are fun with interesting movie or TV clips to make the course work more entertaining and give some mainstream context.

He is a good teacher, offers help when needed, and gives more then enough resources to help you understand and finish your work. There is a good chunk of reading, and lecture videos. There is aa good chunk of homework not so much it's overwhelming. Good teacher.

Nice guy, very thorough in classes and cares about the material presented. Teaching styles are very clear and makes learning the material much easier. I'd take another class with him as the instructor if I could.

You'd better be ready to participate in this class. Each week (except for the last two) you're required to participate in a short writing forum. If you pay attention and complete every assignment, you'll likely get a B, easily. I missed some assignments due to a super-full work and school schedule (40hr+ workweek & 8 school credits).

This class did require a little more work than some online classes I have taken but not so much that it's overwhelming. This class can be easily taken amongst a full schedule if you can balance your workload well. The quizzes actually require knowledge of the course material, however, if you know how to navigate a textbook, that definitely helps.

I liked this topic and found it interesting and easy to do my work. I like Jason , he is fair and helps you with his input.

Jason Jones is truly an asset to academia. Not only does he engage his students in meaningful discussion, but he genuinely cares about each student's learning process. Mr. Jones was very professional and offered a lot of knowledge.

Good lectures. Liked there was no textbook.

Good class. I liked the articles in lieu of the textbook.

The only thing I would change would be to have the comments on other's discussions the following week. This would provide more time to read everyone's discussions and give better feedback. The discussions that are turned in last minute would be given as much consideration as those that were turned in early.

There was a lot of quizzes that assisted with the learning and the videos were very helpful.

Jason used relevant current information to supplement the class. He chose thought-provoking videos and references as well as humorous ones. He is a great professor!

He is very easy to understand and his knowledge of the course material is well above average. I like listening to his lectures.

This course actually confused me at first because I never really knew how much there was to learn about ethics. This course was very interesting and I liked how it started with the history of ethics and how it plays a role in my career.

Online class, so requires a lot of forum participation. I would prefer to take an in-person class from this teacher. Some people did not deserve the high scores they claimed to have received. Not the most engaging lectures, but it's video lectures where being engaging is no easy task. The material is dry but interesting and enlightening.

Great teacher, I would highly suggest him for any future classes you may have at Mt. Hood Community College. He definitely makes you work for your grade, but at the same time, he is teaching very well. Extremely helpful and takes his time in helping you understand what you are learning.

I love that Jason Jones posts the next week assignments early so I can start working on it as I work a job that I never know what time I will get home.

Mr. Jones is able to teach in a way that helps a student appreciate the value of education. He is a respectful professor that utilizes all the tools in his arsenal to ensure that his students are understanding the material. I truly enjoyed every minute of it.

Presented the material clearly. A really solid class with the perfect amount of reading and lecture videos.

This professor was a lot of fun. I enjoyed his teaching style and always provided us with links in every chapter to give us a head start in our research.

He taught a class on terrorism and was very knowledgeable. I enjoyed the class very much, learned a lot.

This was a harder class for me, just couldn't get into the subject. I'm glad I took it though. Jason graded fair and gave good feedback.

I had him for an online class and he does a good job. He provides us with tons of information to learn more about the subject, he communicates often with us which is a boon when we don't meet face to face, and he is very clear with what he wants from us. I've been taking online classes for a few terms and so far he has been the best one I have had.

He's a pretty solid teacher. I took an online class that he taught and I didn't find myself lost or wondering what was going on or what was due, it was all very clear and concise. He also does a good job making the class interesting and relevant. In some chapters I actually looked forward to doing the reading. Overall it was a great class.

I enjoyed Perspective on Terrorism very much! I looked forward to reading some chapters. He made the discussions interesting!
