he is such a sweet guy. Really funny, and sometimes looks a little nervous in class which is even more funny. Seems to really enjoy his work, and wants to challenge students a little bit. The classes are a bit boring, but I think that is just the material, not him at all.

He is tiny, and cute when he screwes up.goes fast in lectures-if u dont have powerpoint printouts u get behind easily.Pop quizes r easy (if u had time to study on top of everything else)tests r ok,the wording makes it hard to do well even if u studied,u end up guessing a lot. Hes a nice prof tho.

He is my definately one of my favourite profs. His tests are more than fair, his lectures are interesting and he tries to make the class as involved as possible, the assigned readings aren't heavy at all and his website has tons of useful information! GREAT prof! Highly reccomended!

the class it self was pointless, i learned nothing! but that being said he is a good prof. I wish he talked more about where in the brain memory is from. the class is very theory oriented. if you dont like alot of theory stay away.

Quirky & dramatic. But the material is not all that interesting. At least he finds it interesting.

I LOVE THIS CLASS. Jason's dynamic use of clever analogies (Star Wars,pregnant student-prof daddy) combined with parsimonious explainations serves to enhance distinctiveness thus facilitating encoding and decreasing the liklihood of interference. Dont know what this means? You will. He also trips over various objects..ENTERTAINING!! My fav prof yet

This prof was very funny!! He tried very hard to entertain his class and keep their attention at all times. His voice is really high so that makes him funny to listen to as well, thus keeping the attention focused on him!

Awesome awesome prof. EXTREMELY funny, constantly cracking jokes about everything. haha high voice soo it keeps your attention. Very nice, tests arent hard at all if you read the lecture notes at home!!!! hint hint!! All around best prof yet.

Amazing prof. Great notes that are a breeze to study, and tests that are fair and simple if you come to class and read the notes at home. Very entertaining.. he helped make the bland material a lot more interesting by constantly adding humour.. if you have the chance, don't pass up Leboe!

awesome teacher who keeps you awake and motivated

As stated by many others, a very good Prof. Quite funny, as people have explained, and does his best to make the subject matter as interesting and understanding as possible. Able to teach a class with over 100 students, even when about 20% of them don't want to be there. Did a good job. (Low helpfulness rating is due to the large class size!)

The best prof I had this year! Really funny, smart, and helpful, an all around great prof. He explains the material so easily that everyone can understand and his tests are straight forward. Be sure not to miss his lectures as you never know what he might say or do! He's always making up jokes and is really laid-back.

Funny guy! Class is very interesting. I like his "storytelling" lecture format (no textbook!). Exams are all long answer, but he tells you how to study and they are a breeze. Take Memory over Singer's Cognitive Processes and you won't regret it!

Great prof; lectures are pretty straight-forward, explains clearly, adds humor to the class. Exams are a little bit tough though, but he's willing to help to give pointers before the tests.

There's really nothing wrong with Leboe, his material, or his teaching style. The fact is that his tests are really hard (especially the final exam, oh my god...) and I only recommend this to people who are either interested in it or are very good at studying. If you're taking this for a GPA booster, you're either a genius or misinformed. Good luck

He is an interesting, and fairly entertaining prof and he really seems like a nice guy. Tests were harder than most in psych and assignments were graded pretty toughly. Had to really work for my A, and felt like A+ set at mid 90s rather than at 90 was unfair for a course with long answer tests.

Tests were insane especially the final. Just when you thought you knew what he wanted on the tests, he goes and changes them. He's extremely helpful though and an incredibly sweet man. Very cool and quite adorable. Just don't get too comfortable with the tests.

Jason is the best prof I've ever had. Especially for a class with long answer tests, it is really helpful if you ask him about the types of questions that will be on the exam.No textbook required.Course was challenging, but an A+ is possible! Make sure you understand the material..way more important than memorizing.He is super funny and nice!

Dr. Leboe is awesome. Helpful, gives clear explanations, and makes you laugh every lecture. However, I found his exams insanely hard, but if you know your stuff inside out you'll be just fine. Course includes essay exams, papers, computer lab demos. If you're looking for an easy multiple choice course, turn back now. I highly recommend Leboe.

Amazing professor. Strongly recommend. Clear and useful information presented in class with an emphasis on understanding concepts rather than rote learning. Note the 'in class'. Must attend class to do well. No textbook which rocks financially speaking. His notes are available online.

Material is good, hard time following in class, but going over it myself was better. Studying, I felt confident, but come test time, my grades plummetted. Thank God for the papers to get my mark up a bit. Test questions are definitely deceivingly hard.

I really liked having him as a prof. He has a great sense of humour and he's extremely easy to follow. Online study participation gets you free grades, and his exams are very fair. No textbook is a plus. He kind of reminds me of a leprechaun.

Humour kept me awake and interested in his lectures. Explains things very clearly, and as long as you take notes and read the text, tests are fairly straight forward.

Funniest prof I've had so far! Has very clear explanations, as well as examples. His notes are very easy to follow. Most of the material tested on exams comes straight from the notes, but it is recommended to do a quick skim of your textbook.

Had him for blended-media section. His explanations are clear, exams are very fair. Uses many examples to promote understanding. Only issue w/ the blended-media, is that his lectures are really long,& sometimes repetitive, but thats not his fault. Its hard when its a video lecture, but you still learn w/ him! Overall, FANTASTIC prof!

Leboe is THE MAN. I took his blended media course, and not only did he make the material very easy to comprehend, but he had an engaging teaching style with substantial use of humour. He also speaks slowly enough that you have enough time to take notes without having to pause the lectures. He REALLY made me enjoy psych.

Love this prof! the online lectures can be boring for psych but the live lecture that he has during lecture times are funny and much more intersting

Great prof, really clear. He sometimes repeats information a few times but then you know it's important for his exams. He's nice and approachable, and he enhances his classes with jokes.

Nota hard class but not an easy class either.all the lectures are online so you never go to class.As for the class 6 exams of 40mc,there not bad if you keep up with readings and lectures you can pull of atleast B+.CLass has alot of reading!tho first semester had like 6 chapters 2nd semester had like over 10!Lectures were alsolonger in 2nd semester.

This class was very easy. Didn't see the prof too much since it was mostly taught by the TA but he did occasionally come in when there were "live lectures". He seemed nice. All the material is online though so really you only have to go to class for the iclicker quizzes. They basically go through exactly what's online in class.

You never see him, the course is taught by a tutorial instructor 1 day/week. Lectures are all online, which is easy but sometimes they can get really boring. Exams are simple 40 multiple choice. A ton of reading 2nd sem, would recommend doing some reading on reading week. If you read, listen to lectures and show up to class, should do pretty well.

The class is taught by a T.A. So you never actually see him but you have to listen to online lectures narrated by him and his wife. If you take the 1/2 online one there is no point in going to class because noting there is on the test, its all text book and online lectures. Pretty easy class, kind of boring lectures.

This professor is amazing! I highly recommend taking a class with him. He's so funny and I'm still really impressed with how fast he got through the course material (due to time constraints from presentations), while still adequately preparing us for the test at the same time. Nice guy, one of my favourite Psych professors.

Took online course, clear schedule, great lectures that were very helpful. Assignments were easy to get done on time. Him and his wife did lectures together and were pretty funny. Overall, I enjoyed his class.

This class was a requirement for honors psychology, but ended up being a mark-booster for everyone in the class. The lectures were interesting and prof is hilarious. The majority of the class mid-Oct to late-Nov were student presentations, and prof asked good questions and marked really fairly. I'm happy Jason was my prof for this course

Do not take this class as an average booster. Take only if necessary. Tests were difficult. Blended media version is bad. Boring online lectures, amount of material is decent but it's hard to keep up when you don't have a class to go too. And you get an A if you have 85% where every other class it's 80%. I don't recommend.

Dr. Leboe is very helpful and very chill. He is willing to answer questions and willing to met with you outside of class. He is also very funny during his lectures but often doesn't cover the material thoroughly in class, but the textbook fills in all the blanks. His lectures are usually word for word from the text.

Great and very funny guy. Down to earth, a family man and overall very likeable. If you have the chance, take the full lectures with him - they are totally worth it! The notes are easy to read and accessible way ahead of time. Exams are fair, there is no midterm or final! No complaints.

Great Prof for Psychology ! He's very funny and keeps the class motivated to learn more! The tests are fair and theres no final. He is very inspirational for anyone who wants to do anything in the psychological field.

Jason is a very nice proff. If you take intro psych, take it with him. Sitting in the lectures was great fun and I'm hopeful that I'll cross paths with him again. He's an introvertered person but he keeps the ball rolling. Awkward and adorable describe him best. He is very helpful for answering your questions.

Very nice and clear. He strives for the students to pass and answers all questions. Didn't need to read the textbook at all, his tests were based off his lectures. He also posted all his lectures online. Some test questions can be a bit tricky. Also he isn't very tech savvy. Would choose this professor again if I could

Great professor! His online lectures were informative, funny, and very well structured. Responds to emails quickly. Easy A+ if you read all of the assigned material.

Entertaining, seems to genuinely care about what he's teaching, and has very child-like goofy aura - very easy to approach. He addresses people who are being distracting, and gives personal examples of things to relate to the material. Covers everything in class, so go, take a few notes, and it's an easy pass.

Intro to Psych DE is pretty straightforward. I recommend reading the book, making notes then listening to his lectures. MyPsych Lab is a great tool, if you do the practice quizzes, do the reading and take good notes, you shouldn't have an issue.

Easily one of the best professors I've had. Cares deeply about individual students, does his best to make lectures entertaining (which he succeeded at), and teaches things very clearly.

took online psych 1200. Lectures are useful as they cover lots from the textbook. a little cringe with the jokes but besides that the material is easy enough as long as you devote time to study. Clearly goes over what will be on the test and what needs to be studied. online option also had study quizzes that were very helpful.

Dr. Leboe-McGowan is an absolute treasure amongst U of M profs. His lectures are hilarious, and he has a great vocabulary (and cute St. Bernards). Responds fast. He is compassionate and cares about his students. There is a LOT of writing in this course, so stay on top of it. He made a difference in my university career and I can't thank him enough!
