Professor Lum was very supportive throughout the duration of the course. There were moments were I didn't quite believe my work was relevant, however the professor offered feedback pertinent to my success in the class.

This professor was very helpful and empathetic in teaching public policy. He was able to break things down for me being that I suffer from dsylexia in ways that was easier for me to understand. Prof. Lum is a great educator, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Be disciplined, do the homework, pay attention, get engage, and you should be fine. There is a lot of online homework, but it helps you a lot to finish your final project. If you email him, he will get back to you with all kinds of help. Glad I had him. Highly Recommended!!!!

A perfect course for introducing yourself to democracy and application, thereof. All of the assignments matched the discussion topics, and Dr. Lum's level of grading for all work was fair and transparent. He is a very sociable professor and challenges you to think outside of a traditional political structure and any conventional political norms.

Prof Lum introduced a solid class of public policy to me as a student. I had a chance to learn more about public policy pertaining the United States. Having not studied the US history prior this class, the class enhanced my knowledge in the history of the US.
