Your notes are the teacher's notes. You should attend class so you have the test in front of you. You do not need to buy the book at all with him. I made an A+ in this class. He curved for every test(10pts) and gave easy extra credit! Sexy too!

Good class (yucky subject, but required). Need to be in class or have a friend who takes good notes. Don't need the textbook. Test comes directly from notes/lectures. Highly recommend this guy!

Actually lectured!! (he knows the topic well) Didn't pull the typical powerpoint crap that most instructors do here) Very approachable, kind, and great sense of humor. Show up, take notes, and you're good to go!

Very nice instructor, curved on every test and gave extra credit work. Don't need the book. As stated above, attendance not required but the tests come straight from the lecture notes.

Great teacher. Take all the notes, read them, and you will be prepared for the test. Usually 10-15 pages of notes a day, but I write big. He is very nice, and does give extra credit. Great sense of humor, he titled the extra credit "Last Ditch Effort

Homework from book most nights, but gives answers next class that you can copy real fast and turn in at break. Tests are straight from lecture. Don't even buy a book for this class. Class is slow and hard to stay awake in, but be sure to write down everything he does... he actually writes everything down on the chalkboard. Boring subject.

He writes all the notes on the board. Homework due every class, but provides the answer at the beginning of the class and you turn in homework during break. His test are not the easiest but his class lectures are very clear and fair. If you attend class and due the homework you will do good on the test.

Attend every class, copy down all the notes, and you'll do great. He assigns homework every week, but it is really easy and takes about 30 mins. He also gives review sheets before each test. Just make a decent effort to review your notes, your vocabulary terms, and you should get A's. He curves tests and gives an extra credit assignment.

Very BORING class... not too hard though if you do homework and reviews.. Test are somewhat difficult.. I would reccomend him because of what i have heard about other teachers... oh yeah get ready to be annoyed the first few weeks mmmalright... you will understand eventually

Money and Banking. 3 tests, homework everyweek but is not hard at all. Take good notes and you will get atleast a B. Definatley recommend this teacher.

His class is so easy, but he is so boring that it is really hard to pay attention. He does NOT deviate from his notes. He simply drones on and on, with no student interaction whatsoever. It is like the students are not there. You have to turn HW in every class. He is not entirely clear sometimes and makes simple concepts seem harder than they are.

Class seems to last forever, but tests are straight from the notes. The notes are written on the board & are very detailed & organized. Gives weekly homework questions, which is the only use for the book. He is responsive & willing to help anyone. Easy class, made an A! Highly recommend for this subject! He knows what he's doing & explains well!

He is a good teacher and gives good notes. His class can be long but make sure you attend because sometimes his notes are different from what is on the book. Make sure you do the homework because it hepls for the test and it's for a grade. Overall, hes nice and knows his stuff.

The exams are straight from the lectures. You have to attend class otherwise you'll miss out on the material. Dr Murasko knows his stuff, and he's really nice. I learned so much in his class. He writes everything on the board, and you have to memorize everything for the exams.

I must admit this class was a lot of work. I suggest you take it during the regular semester ( I took it in the summer). Lots of good notes, he came straight from the notes on the test. Practice the problems and you will pass the class. Very knowledgeable in the subject, answers questions clear and to the point. Over all it was a great class.

Gives awesome notes and tells you what is going to be on the test (no surprises). You do have to study but if you do your homework you should do well on the exam. He is very nice and answers questions to the best of his ability. All in all, I am really happy I ended up in his class. Oh, and ladies- He is also really cute ;-)

He was a great professor, I highly recommend his class. There is a lot of note taking, so make sure you don't miss class or leave early. There is also homework due every week. If you make class and do the homework you should pass with no less than an A.

Excellent Professor! You will not regret taking this teacher, class not easy but you have to study your notes. Know the definitions and how to do the formulas correctly in the calculator. Test is no surpise, comes straight from lectures covered in class so make sure you do not miss clas.

Best M&B prof. Lectures are clear and outline is wrote on the board. Tests are difficult and don't always come straight from the notes. Homework is mandatory and is a large part of your grade. Will go over homework before it is turned in/easy to write in answers.

Lectures are clear, simple & very well taught. Weekly hw is easy but exams are ridiculous.Exams come from lecture notes (isn't in text)so if you miss class or don't understand something in your notes you're screwed. He'll lecture for 6 wks about GDP then for the review he'll say "The concept of GPD is on the exam" Awesome! Thanks buddy.

You only need the book to do the hmk. His lectures are long and tedious. Be prepared to write alot of notes in his class. The thing is he writes his notes in outline form on the board along with you instead of just reading powerpoints like most professors. He gives an outline of subjects to review for each test. Very straightforward class!

Dr. Murasko does a great job on explaining the topics. Sometimes he goes around in circles to explain topics. The books is use to a minimum, but be prepare to write alot and to stay the entire class.

Extremely helpful. Always available outside of class. Translates the horrible textbook into layman's language for easy understanding. Lots of homework but if you do well on that, you will do even better on the test. Write everything out on board which is strange at first but then you get to see the logic which helps.

Excellent professor! Enjoyed coming to class. Writes everything on board. Homework each week so you must have textbook. Exams come straight from homework and lecture notes so it's very important you attend class. He wants students to understand the material so he always gives examples. Tests are long (MC) so you must set aside time to study.

He is an awesome professor! Very knowledgeable on this subject which translated into his lecture. He made it easy to understand the material. Homework is due each class period which comes straight from the textbook. I highly recommend taking this professor! There are 3 exams and homework assignments. Study lecture notes/hw = easy A!

Show up for class and take notes and you will do just fine. He writes everything down on the board (which will drag the subjects out and take the entire classperiod), but there is never any confusion as to what you need to jot down. Easy A if you go over the notes prior to the exams and do the homeworks.

This was my first EVER Grad course so I was a bit nervous esp. since it was an Econ class which was a tough subject for me to grasp in Undergrad.He is a great prof. Everything you need to know he writes on the board. Material is tough, but the tests are fair and he is a fair grader. You'd be dumb if you didn't do the hw-it really helps!

2 tests worth 80% of your grade. Homework worth 20% of grade. Homework assigned every 2 weeks and takes 4-6 hours to complete. It is hard, but practice the homework and the exams are just like it. Can use cheat sheet to put formulas only for exams. Writes all lectures on board, only use book for homework problems. Attend class or will be lost

Dr. Murasko is the best teacher that I have taken at the University of Houston Clear Lake. He knows the material and reiterates it in a way the students comprehend it. Dr. Murasko is very passionate and I am glad that I had the opportunity to take his class.

This class takes effort. I had taken the required pre-req economics classes online, but was not prepared for this class. I did not realize math was involved. You will need to memorize formulas. He is a great instructor and really tries to help students. Make sure you complete the HW. The tests come off the notes and HW. The study guide will help.

Great professor! You must attend the lecture every week or you will be lost. He teaches exclusively from his notes. The book is only used for homework. Six homework assignments and 2 exams. Exams are short answer and solving problems. If you take notes and do the homework you can make an A. Very helpful!

This guy taught with passion, explained the information thoroughly and always made sure the class understood. I used the 1st ed. of the book and made by with no problem. Homework is mandatory and will boost your grade in the end. Study and know your graphs from the homework, test is based directly off of his set of notes, graphs and data.

I took Murasko class because I had too for my major.I think he is a good teacher but he does trick you on his exam, everythig he goes over in clas isnt exactly like the test, you have to study for this class if you want to pass not an easy A, you to work for it.

Knowledgeable guy. Book is only required for homework that's due each class. It's graded on completion not correct responses. His tests are easy. He provides study guides and you MUST study. I didn't study and failed with 60s on two exams. Final exam I made a 100 and received a B-. He will curve the test. He's understanding & quick reply to emails.

This teacher speaks quite monotone, as if he has his lecture memorized. It is only when you ask him specific questions does he seems like a real person. It was noticeable how much he liked the FED, but I guess he can't protest the curriculum. His tests are hard but he gives good notes. He reminds me of Patrick Bateman from America Psycho.

Economics is my least favorite & weakest subject but Dr. Murasko made me be very interested in it. I made a F & C on my first 2 test & passed the final with an A+. Ended up passing the course with a B-.Homework is easy & worth 15%. Overall, he is very helpful, you can email him with anything & will respond right away. TAKE HIM, you wont regret it!

This is my second time to take the course (and fail) and I will hopefully be taking this professor again. The course is extremely difficult but the material is given in an understandable format. I wouldn't recommend this course online or in mini. Do all HW & study because high grades are needed on every assignment in order to pass.

Great Professor! He provides lecture notes on BB that you can print out but also reviews the material in class. I would recommend taking notes and not missing class. There are 2 midterms and a comprehensive final. He gives back tests to help study for final. Not a hard class if you take notes and come to class.

If you do not go to class you will not have any notes from his lectures. These notes are what you need to be able to complete the homework that is given each week. Also, the homework is essential to look over for your exams to achieve a higher grade. Definitely enjoyed this class and will enroll in another class with him in the future.

Class is all lecture, with easy homework due at the beginning. Usually lets you out about 50 minutes early. Sometimes it gets boring, but then again it's school. Tests are difficult but if you put the time in to study they aren't too bad. Gives thorough reviews. If I had studied more I'm confident I would have made an A.

Tests are tough and consist of only things discussed in lecture or on homework. Final Exam's are old test questions. There is a 1pg paper. Listen, take good notes and you will pass. Attendance not mandatory, but you'd be stupid to skip out. I never used the book. I'm not business savvy, but if you know how to do basic addition you're fine.

Amazing teacher. Lectures are a bit dry, but everything not discussed in lecture will not be on the exams. 3 exams total plus a paper. Homework is completion grade. Totally without an ego and is willing to help you understand the topics. Test are multiple choice. There is no way you can fail this class if you attend.

Very nice professor and also very helpful. However, tests are tough. I didn't miss a class all semester and I struggled on every test. Prior to this I had never received a grade below an A. Maybe it was just a concept I couldn't grasp. Lectures are long and there is no class involvement.

Greatest professor at UHCL. If you hate economics, you won't with this professor. He is very clear and his notes are very organized. Do not miss class because you will miss crucial exam information. There a 2 tests and at least 5 homework assignments that he goes over in class. You will only fail if you do not show up or if you do not take notes.

Dr. Murasko is a knowledgable professor and his lectures are great. One down fall for me is there is only 3 test in the whole class. The 3 test are very important they make up your whole grade in the class. The test are pretty Hard. One advice I would give is to stay ahead of the new chapters each week. There is a hw assignment each week also.

Dr. Murasko is great but class is very challenging. You must attend to pass. All H/W and exams come straight from his lectures. Take excellent notes and STUDY. Only 2 tests and they are HARD. Do all of your homework (graded for completeness not accuracy), and you can bring your grade up by a letter, which helps offset exam grades. Don't buy book.

Dr. Murasko is definitely one of my favorite professors at UHCL. He know's his stuff and presents the material in a clear way that's easy to understand. His tests are based off of the homework's and notes taken during class so as long as you're doing the homework and taking notes you're good for an A. He's super nice and cool, for sure recommend.

I absolutely loved his class! It wasn't very interactive--mainly just him giving lectures everyday--but it was straightforward, and as long as you put in effort to study for the exams you'll make an A. We didn't use the book at all, so I wouldn't recommend buying it unless he tells you too. Also, he has ridiculously amazing hair. Just saying.

Class consists of a mid-term (40%), final (40%), and 6 homework assignments (20%). HW is graded on completion, not accuracy. He provides the solutions for you to study. Tests are 80% mathematical, 20% short answer . HW problems and reviews are exactly like exam. Be prepared to take lots of notes, there's no book. Attendance isn't mandatory.

He gives you all the material you need to pass the class. He is very clear on what needs to be learned for each test. You have a homework assignment everyday, pretty easy if you take notes. 3 major test in the class. The final is 50% comprehensive and literally he pulls the questions from the first two test. The other 50% comes from new material.

Online MBA program. No need for a textbook as you just read/print PDFs for the readings. Spent around 5 hours a week on this class and you're allowed a formula card for the midterm and final. Weekly quizzes but allowed multiple attempts. Easy A if you want to study a bit more. Interesting readings and articles!

So far my favorite professor at UHCL. This is my second semester and he is the most organized and is very specific on what you need to know. Weekly assignments that help you with the midterm and the final. I took him for summer 2017. For 8 weeks it's been pretty easy but of course you must learn the material. Def would take him for every class.

A book for this class is not necessary so it saves some money. He provides you with PDFs of the readings each week. The homework and quizzes will help you do good on the exams so don't skip them specially the homework assignments since they are not for a grade. His class is organized and easy to follow.

Took summ 17 online. 2 exams and a multiple choice quiz for each week. No book needed. Weekly lecture notes, no more than 10 pages. Super organized and easy to follow. Gives test reviews and allows formula card. Just study and do hw problems.

Dr. Murasko's Summer Money and Banking class was tough. There is a lot of econ jargon and some of the concepts are counter-intuitive . Diff subject but Wonderful prof. No book, he gives handouts. Attendance not mandatory (everything you need is in the handout) but lectures are GREAT! Hmwk is 10% of grade, he goes over hmwk before the new lecture. He's funny but to the point. Class gets out about an hour early each time. Easy to understand, breaks on time.

My favorite class this semester. Great teacher. There is weekly homework, which isn't hard. Need to attend class to turn in HW & take notes. The notes are whats on the tests. Didn't read the book at all. He gives you a great review sheet for each test. Two tests, 6 HW's, & one project. Would recommend this teacher!

I am not good at econ, and I was terrified to take this class. I ended up doing well because this professor is so great at breaking things down, explaining, and working examples. This was my favorite teacher I had throughout the MBA program. He was funny, cared about us and made sure we were comprehending concepts.

I don't find economics interesting, but Murasko peaked my interest for the subject by explaining the material in detail at a level non econ majors can understand. Weekly handouts are what he lectures on, homework assignment each week and 3 midterms. Study the homework and handouts and you will ace the exams.

This is the 3rd class Ive taken with him and he is always great about explaining things in ways normal people can understand. Homework is graded on completion, so unless you just dont do it, youll get a 100 on that. His class doesnt make me feel like I want to drop out and the ladies seem to love his hair

Awesome professor, no book require, and great lecture(easy to understand). 4 test total, final is accumulative( half of the material is on the 3 old test and the other half is new material). Test are 50question, multiple choice. Test Question are mainly from the review and homework. Homework are easy, require time online though.

First of all, he is really hot; like your friends hot dad type of way (his campus picture doesnt do him justice. His class is very clear, 2 exams, 1 homework assignment every week, no textbook necessary he provides reading material, and he always replies emails quickly.

Online MBA program - 8 week course. No need for a textbook. Minimum you need to spend around 5 hours a week on this class and you're allowed a formula card for the exams. Study the logic!! Weekly quizzes, multiple attempts. If you want to pass, definitely complete all of the homework problems. They help you to study the most!

The BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!!!!! The grading criteria is very clear. I had him for Summer 2018 online course. 8 quizzes online, 1 mid-term, and final. Final is not comprehensive. Depending on how the class performs on the test, he might curve the test grade or he might not. Study his review throughly and you will ace every exam!

I wouldn't say that attendance is mandatory, but you do get credit for doing your homework due at the beginning of each class period. He writes and teaches his own material very well. I thought he was hilarious. He's straightforward with no tricks or gimmicks. I wish I could take another one of his classes!

The semester was easy but the final is designed to be difficult. Its also 50% of your final grade, which I feel is a little unreasonable for a 8 week course. Do well on the homework and quiz this way you have some cushion for when you take your final. Study and practice and youll pass.

Professor Murasko is amazing. 1 paper, 3 tests, homework every week (as long as it's completed, you get a 100). He curves every test. He genuinely cares about his students and wants us to learn. He makes very funny jokes sometimes, but you have to be listening in order to catch them. By far one of my favorite professors.

Dr. Murasko is amazing!! took him for Money & Banking and the class was only once a week plus he always let us out early. 3 exams and you get reviews for all of them. Final review is half questions from the first 2 exams so keep up with old exams. And HW due each week but it's pretty straight forward. Definitely recommend taking him!

I took Dr. Murasko online during the winter mini session. I loved that he actually GIVES you reading material that he wrote himself! No purchasing a textbook or excessive reading. We had 7 quizzes that were all open note and the answers are written clearly in the reading. The exam was slightly difficult, but he provides you with a study guide.

This professor sums up the textbook in handouts he posts online for you to access. When he writes the lecture notes on the board, he writes them in note form so everything he writes is all you need and easy to see what you need. His test reviews are very simple, answer the questions on the review and youll get no less than a B+ on your exams.

Dr Murasko is such a caring professor. His lectures are clear and precise. I never really felt the need to ask any question because he is really good at explaining the material. The test are easy as long as you take the time to read your notes, his lecture handouts to understand the material. 2 Test, 1 final , 12 Hmk assignments. No book required.

Dr. Murasko is an amazing professor. The class I took was originally scheduled for F2F, but was moved to online due to the pandemic. Dr. Murasko made sure to meet with us every Wednesday via Zoom to review homework from the previous week. He worked out the problems with us, and you can tell he genuinely enjoys his job. EXCELLENT teacher!

Murasko's class is a tough class in my opinion. This class is solely based upon a homework average and 3 test grades. The key note here is to study/get the reviews well in advance. You don't necessarily need to take notes as his lectures are straight from the reading handouts that he gives out via Blackboard. Study, study, study!! Best of luck!

Overall a really straightforward class. Weekly homework for completion grade, a weekly quiz over the homework , and a final exam that's half your grade. No textbook which is nice. He explains everything really well and is easy to understand. I would take his class again.

Dr Murasko is a great professor! He cares for his students and makes Managerial Economics fun. At first I was intimidated by the material but ended up mastering it really well. I made an A+ in the class and performed very well on the final. I totally recommend Dr Murasko, he is an incredible professor! Final exam is worth 50% of your grade.

I really enjoyed this professor. I've never taken economics outside of HS and I didn't find this class hard. You have HW for completion grade, weekly quiz, and a final exam that is half your grade. He gives a very thorough review for the exam so as long as you can do the review and practice test, you will be fine. He uses all of the class time.

Weekly homework assignment. 4 exams on ProctorU.. I wish he gave quizzes and more homework so I could raise my grade. He takes a high % for exams and if you are a nervous test taker like me it can really bring down your grade. You can email him with questions, and he posts reviews for each exam which are nice.

If you run across any negative ratings for Professor Murasko just know that that student did not try whatsoever. This is hands down the most easiest class ever. I have learned more than I have in any other course. He responds to emails if you need help. Homework is graded by completion. Exams are very similar to the review. He is great! Take him!

Two exams are weighted 85% and homework 15% of your final grade. He gave me full credit for all my homework assignments, but I did not pass my exams. I finished all my assignments and I still did not pass the class. Does not give credit for attendance/participation. I usually do not see exams weighing more than 50% of your final grade. Do not take.

Professor Murasko is definitely one of the most well-versed professors I've ever had. His lecture notes are straight forward, his homework's are fairly simple & his lectures are very educational. Took this class online. He has homework due almost every week and grades it by participation. The homework and study guides are basically the tests. He would only do about 1 math question on each test. It is a lot to study so make sure you give yourself a couple days but as long as you master the review you will be fine.

Best professor to start your MBA program with. HW is based off participation and worth 20%, quizzes based off homework and worth 30%, final exam based off practice exam and worth 50%. Econ isn't fun for anyone, but Professor Murasko makes it doable. He helps anyway he can and answers emails quickly. 5/5 would take again.

His lectures are concise. Homework answers can be found directly from his lectures. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I'd recommend not to miss a day. For each of his exams he has a review sheet you can complete. His exams are based on the information from the review sheet. Super straightforward. You won't regret taking this stress free class!

Dr. Murasko is hands down the best professor I have had at UHCL. His lectures are straightforward and the homework is not time consuming and comes straight from the lecture notes. Professor Murasko was the BEST professor EVER. He taught a lecture every class and wrote notes on the board. Each week a homework and assignment was due. Three exams with the final being cumulative. He gives reviews for the exams, and it is spot on to the actual exam. He really sets you up for success. 1000% recommend. Do not hesitate to take him!

Absolutely one of the worst courses I have ever taken. Professor does not teach students any of the homework or test criteria through the provided materials. There are no other available materials to utilize in order to understand or complete weekly quizzes. Very little information provided in lecture or handouts is actually used in the content.
