Good professor; you can tell he's interested in his subject. Class is mostly lectures, but we also watch several films and write short reactions to them. Tests are easy, multiple choice, and he gives us a great study guide that has everything on it. The class is divided into groups to discuss various geographical regions. No map quizzes! :)
Good Lectures. He was a lot more enthusiastic than any student cared to pay attention to. Know EVERYTHING on the study guide and you will make and A. Go to all the classes, because he gives random grades for attendance grades. If you miss a video that you have to write a reaction on you are screwed. Do ALL the regional discussion articles!!!!
Mr. Rhodes is a great teacher. Nice guy, cracks jokes here and there, and he knows what he's talking about. For every test, he gives us an outline of every lecture. Offers tons of extra credit, which is great. just do the assignments you're given and you'll do fine.
Great teacher and there are lots of extra credit opportunities, take advantage! Also, he randomly takes attendance so just attend class and you'll do fine!
Rhodes is a great professor, his lectures are incredibly interesting and he always chooses good movies to watch. He gives A LOT of extra credit opportunities and his quizzes are easy!
Take him for Geography!! He is an amazing person and great teacher! Going to class is not mandatory, but he will pick up your in class hand out every one in a while and those are easy A's. Everything discussed in the class is interesting. The test and quizzes are not hard. This class was a joy to attend! He is the best teacher! TAKE HIM!!
Mr. Rhodes is awesome. He is a great teacher and is willing to do whatever he can to help you out. He is very passionate about what he is teaching and is very easy to talk to. The class itself is ridiculously easy and a guaranteed A if you just do your work.
Dr. Rhodes is a great Prof. If you go to class and do the simple assignments you will make an A.
The easiest class i have taken so far. Quizzes are kinda hard but once you carefully read the book it is easy. NO TESTS. only end of the term project. attendance is not mandatory. Take him, even though the lectures are boring
Best professor i've ever had. Explains the lecture well and grading is quite easy. 10 easy online 5 question quizes, 3 lowest quizes are dropped. Other assignments are pretty easy and participation in class means extra credit. If you have the chance . TAKE HIM . TAKE HIM.
If you need a Social Issues credit, this is the class to have. Super easy, extra credit out the wazoo, and the books that he assigned are actually very interesting. Lectures are long, but they're pretty interesting but not essential to pass.
If you need an easy A, this is the class to have. Over the course of the semester we needed to read 3 certain books to have quizzes over and I haven't read single, but I finished the class with a 97. He's a nice guy and is by far the easiest class I've had.
Great professor. Really makes you curious about how are planet is doing. You do a few random assignments in class. You don't really have to take notes. Buy the books because your grade is based on the quizzes and articles you find after reading the chapter. There's a project at the end of the semester which is also pretty easy.
Rhodes was a nice guy. Had to do readings in preparation for weekly D2L quizzes for 47% of grade. 2 written reactions to documentaries we watched in class for 13%. Poster display for 13%. In class writing for completion 13%. You have to read, but he's an easy grader and there's lots of built in extra credit. NO EXAMS, so no need to take notes. :)
I found Professor Rhodes really good, i got A in his course. Only you have to do assignments and quizzes on time. He assign one project at the end of semester that's really easy as well. Highly Recommended!!!
Rhodes is a good professor. lectures are a little boring if you don't like what he's talking about. Quizzes are over chapters in the books he assigns, but are short, 5-question quizzes. Attendance is not mandatory, but he does take up random, in-class assignments for grades. Overall, he's a great professor and the class is a super easy A!!!!
Professor Rhodes works hard to make his class interesting and I really appreciate that. You must read 3 books and take weekly T or F quizzes. NO TESTS :) NO PAPERS :) you watch 3 documentaries that are interesting and write responses for two of them and there's one end of semester poster project this class is a piece of cake!
Professor Rhodes is a very good professor. Students have to read 3 books and take quizzes on certain chapters with each book. This class is not hard at all. Simply show up to class and you will receive an 'A'. There is one project at the end, but it is not hard to complete. I would take him again if I could. Highly recommended.
Does a great job at incorporating the ideas and opinions of students into his lecture. He provides time for discussion among students, and is very clear on his requirements to pass. He requires A LOT of reading, but it is very interesting. His quizzes are thought-provoking, 10 quizzes drops lowest one, all TF. Over 20 extra credit opportunities.
Easiest class ever. No tests. Just quizzes. You get 100s, which are actually 125% in his class, if you just read. Doc reactions are easy. Honestly if you read and make sure you show up for the docs. there is no need to come to class. Your quiz grades will make up for lost attendance points. I got a 100. Wish I put in less effort.
Nice and accomodating! Class consists of 3 reaction papers, quizzes, participation, exams, 3 documentary reaction papers and class project. Class is so easy and the papers are extremely easy. Gave a total of 12 extra credit points that would go toward final average. Exams are take home essay but extremely easy. Must take. Easy AB course. Got an A!
Rhodes is fantastic. I think most people walked out with a new outlook on what they wanted in the future. Lectures are interesting; I looked forward to class. You know everyone near you. 34% between 3 essay exams, 17% class project, 17% 3 writing assignments, 13% quizzes, 11% attendancein-class work, 8% between 3 documentary reactions. Take him!
Professor Rhode's class is pretty easy. His reading quizzes are a little hard to understand, but his grading scheme for them is helpful. Also, there are simple random in class assignments, but they don't affect your grade too much. Also, he gives you a chance at 10 points extra credit that is added to your overall grade. Ex. 90 average +10 100!!
He was one of the best professors i've had so far. No exams and makes his lectures interesting for students. Weekly reading quizzes that you can get up to a 125% on. Def. take him! Finished his class with a 99 overall average. Takes up random class assignments to count as attendance.
NO EXAMS. His class is a real eye-opener. Read certain chapters of one book. Weekly quizzes, 5 questions, true/false. Along with article assignment every other week depending on last name. Can miss one question and still get a 100. Write 2 documentary reactions out of the 4 that are shown. Easy end of semester project. Random in class assignments
Assignments are easy & there is no right or wrong. He likes opinions and critical thinking responses. You need all the books; participation & attendance doesn't matter even though in the syllabus it says otherwise. He gives short paper assignments almost weekly but again they are easy. Two exams both online. Also he does class discussions.
Pretty easy class. Attendance wasn't "mandatory", but if you miss class you may miss some in-class work that could mess with your grade. There are no test, just an end of the year poster display, online quizzes from the reading, and documentary reactions. He is a nice, helpful guy. Worth taking to get general education requirements out of the way.
Professor Rhodes was really knowledgeable about the material he taught. He encouraged class participation through feedback and group discussions. I strongly recommend taking this professor. As long as you read the material, do your homework, and come to class you will do just fine. He's a great teacher and Kennesaw State should have more like him.
By far the easiest and most interesting class I have taken thus far. Was not expecting to learn about fast fashion and what it entails in this "geography class." Coming to class is not mandatory but he does give bonus for showing up. Gives tons and tons of extra credit. NO tests. If you do not get an A, you did something wrong.
Very easy class. just read the chapters for the quizzes(quizzes 46%) and you will be fine. If you do not do well on quizzes there is about 15 extra credit point. you can go from a 75 to 90 in the class. TAKE THIS CLASS.
Professor Rhodes is the most insightful professor at KSU. His class was interesting and you WILL learn from his lectures and readings. Easy online quizzes from assigned reading every week. No exams. He truly cares and wants you to learn. I would take again in a heartbeat. EASY EASY A!!!
He was a really nice professor but wasn't very clear about due dates. He was constantly changing the due dates and there is a lot of assignments to keep up with. I made an 89.4 in his class and he would not even talk about giving me an A even though we were able to submit any extra credit at the end because our website closed for maintenance.
Took his first online class. If you read the articles, you will make an A. Offers extra credit. Highly recommended!!
Jason Rhodes was hands down the best professor Ive taken. He was so easy, gave so much extra credit and never took attendance. Did article reseacher, copy and pasted the link with a breif paragraph of a summary. SO MUCH EXTRA CREDIT. Currently i plan on taking him again this coming semester. GREAT MAN
Jason Rhodes is amazing!! He provides very clear lectures, has NO unreasonable expectations, offers tons of opportunity for As and is a great communicator. I HIGHLY recommend him!!!
Best professor I've ever had. Same thing every week. gives great detailed directions and LOTS of extra credit.
I took professor Rhodes during the summer online for geography. The work load was a lot heavy, but it was expected for the summer course. You had to go through a power point, and pick an article that related to the material, summarize it, and relate it to the material. You had to do the same thing with a documentary he would assign, etc
Amazing Teacher. If you do the work you will get an A. I never understood why there were students who were doing poorly in class. Just do the work and you get an A. Also annotate. This will help with his tests. Seriously, he was a great professor, I am so sad that I was unable to take more classes with him.
Great Professor overall. Provides great lectures, weekly assignments include a reading with a quiz about it, discussion questions you have to answer to the lecture, and finding an article that is related to the weekly reading. You watch 5 films through the semester and tests are easy since there is a study guide to it. Easy A but a lot of work.
Professor Rhodes was AWESOME!! Lots of extra credit opportunities, DO THEM. The class is easy just turn in the assignments one time and it's an easy A.
I took this online over the summer in a 4 week class and it was SO EASY. I actually learned a lot during the class and he was very understanding and clear on when things were due! Everything was due by the end of each week, and I usually did it all the day before easily. Just put in work and it's an easy A! He was very nice too over email!
Professor Rhodes sets the class up where you should get nothing but an A. Gives you tons of extra credit options. There is either weekly readings or documentaries to watch along with discussion posts and article summaries. Do the work and the class is not hard at all. Prepare to keep up with the assignments, a few a week.
Professor Rhodes clearly loves what he teaches. I loved the material & the way he presented the course. This class is an easy A IF you are willing to do the work, there is a ton of writing that is required that can't be completed a few hours before the due date. He almost had me looking into becoming a Geography Minor if I wasn't about to graduate
This was by far my favorite professor at Kennesaw. I took his class online, and even though I never met him in person he was definitely my favorite. He really cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He gives LOTS of extra credit opportunities so it's easy to get an A in the class. I highly recommend taking a geography class with him.
This online class doesn't have a book, so he would post 15-30 page excerpts from books every week. The assignments are work-intensive, but they're not super hard and his grading criteria is pretty clear. He also provides a lot of extra credit chances. He posts lecture transcripts, which really help (I prefer reading over listening). I loved him!
He is honestly the best professor I had so far in my college career. The workload includes listening to lecture and make a post about it, read an article and take a 5 question true or false quiz about it, and posting an article relating to the content. There are documentary reactions but they are easy. He communicates great. TONS OF EXTRA CREDIT
Great professor Provides you with so much extra credit at the end of the semester there is NO reason you shouldn't get an A or a B. Test and quizzes are easy just print out powerpoint Discussion, lectures, reading are very time consuming. Documentaries were interesting. Just from doing extra credit i earned 14 points added to my final grade!
The assignments take around 2-3 hours to complete each week, online, excluding and documentary or reaction paper that you need to write. It's an extremely easy class to make an A in AS LONG AS you stay on top of your assignments. He also offers extra credit almost weekly and there is no reason at all for anyone to make less than an A in his class!
Took this class for an easy A, and it was, but I REALLY enjoyed it. The material is interesting and I looked forward to it every week. If you do the work you'll pass no problem. There is no book, instead he posts material to read every week. Weekly discussion board post, and movies to write on, but all very easy and lots of extra credit.
Wonderful Professor! I learned a lot! I highly recommend taking him. It was a very interesting class!
Ridiculously easy class. No textbook but have to watch videos - all found on Netflix and YouTube. Never met the guy but he's very nice and gives amazing feedback. Truly cares about the student. I didn't need any, but you can add 14 points to your final grade if you do extra credit, but the class is so easy you don't need it. Take him for an easy A.
I have nothing bad to say about this instructor he is so respectful, and wants all his students to pass with As. There is a lot of work due each week but I found most of it actually very interesting. Absolutely take him if you can!!
Took GEOG 1101 online. He literally says in the syllabus if you are looking for an easy A, this is it. SO easy! All you have to do is a little bit of reading and a few discussion posts (which are just basically your opinion) each week. I was able to finish the class a month early.
This professor is extremely enthusiastic about geography and does his best to get his students interested as well. There is so much extra credit offered that there is no excuse to not get an A in this class! My only criticism is that a lot of the course material was obviously biased towards one viewpoint, but I'd recommend this prof any day.
Such an amazing professor. You do have to do a little bit of reading, but if you just set aside an hour or two and get all your work done at once it's very manageable. The course gets you thinking and I really appreciated his approaches! 10/10 recommend
TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! He is a great teacher and cares about what he teaches. I am not a geography major and took him as an elective he was amazing. He does give a-lot of work but it is so you can have a bunch of grades. The work is easy and you can go at your own pace. I LOVED HIM VERY GOOD GRADER, GREAT LESSONS, INTERESTING, VERY POSITIVE!
Outstanding professor. I took this course online, if you just keep up with the work that he sets out for you each week you will make an easy A. He gives A TON of extra credit opportunity so there is absolutely no excuse to make anything less than an A.
Have never seen a professor try so hard to help his students. Easy, but very interesting class with tons of extra credit. 1-2 hours of reading/responding a week. No textbook, he uses interesting articles instead. Gives clear, consistent grading criteria. Exams have no trick questions, he provides transcripts for what you should know. Take him!
AMAZING! His World Regional Class was super interesting - we talked only about current events (NO MAPS!!) He gives you so much extra credit you could not even take a test and make an A. Weekly discussion posts (basically did you do it), one poster, and 2 online open-book exams. If you want an easy A, take him. He is super sweet and wants to help!
His online course is very straightforward & you cant fail literally unless you dont do work or read the length requirements for postings. He offers a TON of extra credit throughout the semester so even if you miss an assignment you can still achieve a A, and the workload isnt heavy. Be prepared to read, easy quizzes, & article discussions!
Take him! He obviously took a great deal of time to make the class interesting and varied. A lecture, a reading or movie, two posts a week. He releases all the assignments at the beginning so you can finish the course a quickly as you want. The subject matter was deep and important. Finally, a core class that wasn't a waste of tuition.
Super easy class! As long as you do the (easy) assignments you'll get an A. After he grades them, you get a chance to edit the assignment for a better grade if you didn't originally make a 100. I definitely recommend him!
I took his online Geography class over the summer. If you set aside the time to do the assignments every week, you WILL make an A. Professor Rhodes offers so much extra credit and is very responsive to emails. He's passionate about the topics that are discussed and I would definitely take him as a professor again.
Professor Rhodes is great for GEOG 1101, he provides readings that make you question the way the world works. Professor Rhodes is great for Geography and Non-Geography majors alike. ( Easy A and Interesting class as well)
Seriously awesome teacher and a fun class to take even if you don't have interest If you do the work its an easy A and gives tons of extra credit I would absolutely take him again.
Professor Rhodes is amazing and his course serves as the perfect introduction for Geog and non-Geog majors alike. 11/10
Professor Rhodes was great! I took his online class and enjoyed it. It's not too hard, but you will have to put in the effort. He gives good feedback on work and provides plenty of interesting extra credit. Would definitely recommend him!
Jason's Geography of Clothing class was awesome! His easy grading system makes it so you are graded for what you learn! He provides amazing content and asks questions to get you thinking. The books are required but they are worth the read! Can't wait to take his class again!
Jason Rhodes is by far one of the best professors I've ever had! He is understanding with late work, gives SO MANY extra credit opportunities (each one bumps your grade a point) and enjoys what he teaches! Easy A and a super nice prof.
Mr. Rhodes is by far one of the best teachers I've had since attending KSU. There is absolutely no way you can fail this class! Extra credit is offered, he allows make-up work and late work, and responds almost immediately to every email and he understands that his class is not the only class your taking. I wish all teachers could be like him.
Professor Rhodes was always quick to help me via email. The class workload is quite heavy, weekly lecture + responses, quizzes about long readings, watching a documentary + writing a reaction. But he gives so much extra credit you're not gonna know what to do with it. Try to keep on task and it's a guaranteed pass. And if you do well guaranteed A.
Easy A but the work load is heavy. I took the 4 weeks class so there were a lot of assignments due each week. There are 2 tests ( all MC), articles, lecture discussions, and documentaries.
I took the 4 week summer semester, I wanted to drop it when I saw the workload but I didn't. Its manageable for sure but way too much for an intro course. 2 tests (MC/essay question). He responds fast and the information was interesting... never taking him again though.
I took this class in the spring for credit now I will say that the workload is heavy but there is literally unlimited chances for extra credit. There's really no reason to fail.
Professor Rhodes is amazing!! I had him this past summer for my 4- week long Intro to Human Geography course and he really does care about both his students and the material. He gives a BUNCH of extra credit opportunities at the end of the semester so making an A is always in reach. Make sure to keep up with the readings and assignments.
He is the best professor! I took it online and it was the best online class. He is the most caring and gives you more than enough ways to improve your grade and there's no way you can fail if you just do the assignments every week. He's super helpful and makes the content interesting. Take him!!!
Easiest A ever. Best professor that I've had at KSU. He gives so much extra credit that you can't fail. On top of all that, he's an amazing guy.
A very genuine professor who cares about your well-being & understanding of the material. Course work is reading heavy but is easy to complete with time management. 10/10 would recommend taking this course. Final & mid-term is multiple choice with an essay question that is given before the time period.
This was my second time taking Professor Rhodes. He is so caring and down to Earth. I enjoyed having him again and wish I could take him for a third time. He is an easy grader, and will rip off the clothes from his back to help anyone. Youd truly be doing yourself a disservice by taking anyone else for the geography courses he offers.
He is simply the BESTEST person and the teacher ever, I can say nothing bad about him, just listen to his lectures which are extremely detailed & do his readings and you can pass with a grade above 100 because he gives MANY extra credit homework and his reading quizzes are out of 125 points, even if you don't get an answer right, you have a grade
I took GEOG 1101 online. Rhodes is a great professor. For an elective class, too much work. NOTHING on quizlet. Tons of reading, a quiz a week, about a page of replies to lectures a week, sometimes a documentary instead of a lecture, but a two page paper comes with that. Tons of extra credit, but lots of work. I got an A but an annoying amt of work
Jason gives a lot of work. Expect to have to read useless books or watch useless documentaries in order to complete his assignments. This class will demand that you take a couple hours per week to do his unimportant work. Although the material is easy, it is just too much! Lots of extra credit!
To be put simply, this is an easy "A" course with an exceptional professor. There are a plethora of opportunities for extra credit. There is a lot of reading between the lectures and the reading every week but it is manageable. Best professor ever!
It is a lot of work but I promise it's not hard, he gives tons of extra credit opportunities and is very caring. Like I said, it is a lot of work but he makes it nice and interesting with the sources he provides. He gives study guides (answer keys) to the exams and the quizzes, you'll have to read like 20 something pages most of articles. Great!
Professor Rhodes is the best. Every single week there are at least two extra credit assignment that increase your course grade by 1%. He is very kind and allows for many opinions in his class. This is definitely a great class for an easy A. I have no clue how you could possibly fail.
If youre looking for some easy online summer credits than this is as good as it gets.
easiest A, the lectures were in depth but manageable and discussions were not too hard just stay on top of work, also plenty of extra credit and easy grader, have to read though can't use quizlet
This class was pretty easy with 4 lecture, 4 documentaries, 8 quizzes, weekly discussion posts, 4 article assignments, and a written essay style midterm and final. Its a lot to handle in a 4 week summer class, but it's manageable so long as you dont procrastinate too hard. This professor is kind, lots of extra credit, and is willing to help you.
Prof. Rhodes is a very nice professor and I thoroughly enjoyed his class. I would definitely recommend taking his class if you can.
Easy A if you do the work! Theres a lot of extra credit
easiest A, the lectures were in depth but manageable and discussions were not too hard just stay on top of work, also plenty of extra credit and easy grader!
Easy A!!!
Very nice guy! Easy assignments due weekly, accepts late work, completion for most assignments but tests can be kind of difficult. Take him, he's very caring and willing to work with his students.
Take him, he's very caring and willing to work with his students.
Hes great! I loved this class and learned a lot. Offers a ton of extra credit and gives feedback on each assignment. He seemed to really care for his students. Highly recommend taking his class!
Professor Rhodes has been the best professor I've had yet! He is very enthusiastic and excited about geography and gives interesting documentaries and readings to learn from that aren't boring at all. PLENTY of extra credit, would 100% take him again!!
Awesome Professor, always care but also makes sure you learn the course material.
He is a nice guy and is always giving back personal feedback. He does give a lot of work for an 1101 class, but it is easy. He gives lots of extra credit opportunities and they are super easy to do. The class is pretty straight forward.
The class requires you to do a lot of assignments but nothing is that difficult. The tests are open note and you'll get an A in the class if you read the lectures and do all of the assignments. the only bad thing is that he's a slow grader.
I took an online, four-week class and I found it to be very interesting. If you do the work, read and watch the documentaries, post discussions, etc., you will do well. Like anything in life, you'll get out of this class what you put into it. Take the class, it's interesting and relevant. Great teacher!
he gives a lot of hw during the summer and you have to pay for 4 documentaries that you must watch
Never felt so successful in a class - taken as a summer 4 week class finished with a 98 and enjoyed the class it feels like a lot of work at the beginning of the semester but once you get the swing of it its easy
Professor Rhodes is the best! Lots of assignments but hes a pretty easy grader. Put in the effort and youll do fine. His lectures are interesting and he has a sense of humor that keeps you engaged, even in an online class. Lots of opportunities for extra credit. Provides great reviews for tests. Easy A. Take him!
If you really want to know about Rhodes, he is amazing and super lenient. Coming from someone that struggles in geography. Basically, you take a quiz and do discussion posts super easily. He's amazing and understands we have other classes. If you can take him he's so amazing.
TAKE HIM SO SWEET so easy I would say 2 hours per week is enough to get you an A in this class. So caring and offers extra credit that could boost ur grade 10 points. the best take him !!!
There is a lot of assignments every week but as long as you complete everything you should get a decent grade in the class.
More work than bargained for.He gave chances to do late work and extra credit which I appreciate. However every week we had to reach a chapter, take the quiz, do a discussion post and reply, do another discussion post on 'supplemental' material, and another discussion post about the lecture (transcripts were provided though).Great prof lots of work
He's really nice, and his class is fun, you will have to purchase documentaries for cheap and write your opinion about them. Then you get your A and enjoy your life, easy as that, take him, seriously!
summer class? dont take. theres like 7 paragraph assignments perweek. AND on top of that there's 2 quizzes that have 5 questions so you cant even miss like 2 questions. sooooo much work for absolutely no reason at all. there is no using quizlet for answers. for the most part he writes his everything. he does give PLENTY options for extra credit tho
If you need an easy science class... take this one. Three assignments a week... going to class is important because he does in class assignments. LOADS of extra credit. I did not go to half of the lectures but within the last two lectures he gives you extra credit so make sure to attend those!!
Professor Rhodes was great and very enthusiastic about the course. His class was graded entirely on online assignments, with the only tests being the midterm and final. The weekly load might seem like a lot, but it isn't bad and he always lets you turn it in late or do extra credit. No attendance check but there is in-class work fairly often.
Extremely easy class. I received over 100% in the class and skipped 2 assignments. 3 weekly assignments, quizzes are curved by 25%. Midterm and Final, but he gives you all the answers during review day (highly recommend you go to those). Class was hybrid, and only spent 1-2 hours weekly outside of class working on his assignments.
jason is amazing, by far the most chill and lenient teacher you will ever have. this dude gives more extra credit than actual assignments and will extend deadlines as long as you email him. makes an effort to know who you are, also the class content is very interesting and he's very knowledgable!! you couldn't find anyone better for this class :)
super easy, got a 110%, gives crazy amount of extra credit super nice guy
It's hard to not do well in this class. He is a lenient grader and provides so much extra credit. Readings and documentaries were always interesting and informational. TAKE HIM!!
He is so generous if you miss assignments! His lectures are interesting and short. Just make sure to do everything on time and you will ace the class. Some readings are long but very engaging. Take him if you want an easy online class!!
This is the easiest class ever, it is impossible not to get an A in this class. The work is easy and he also provides a ton of extra credit. He is also very caring and passionate. Just take this class.
Lots of discussion posts, but very worth the easy A. I spent maybe 2 hours a week on this class and ended with a very high A. There is also SO MUCH extra credit, totally worth it!
Loved his class! A lot of article reading though
Lots of work outside of class but very easy.
Very informative class - the issues discussed here are very relevant and important to talk about. There is a lot of homework - at least 3 separate required assignments plus optional extra credit. This prof is very big on partner/group work for the in class assignments which honestly just feels forced, but aside from that i enjoyed him.
TAKE THIS CLASS! Professor is super nice and knowledgeable about the material which is very interesting. Class is 50% online, with online work being either watching a documentary or reading a short excerpt of a book and a small discussion post. Easiest A while also learning about modern environmental problems. Can't recommend this class enough!
He is a great professor; attend class, and you'll ace his material. He's a very easy grader and passionate about what he talks about, making showing up easier.
Professor Rhodes is one of the best. This was the second time I've taken one of his classes. If you fail his class you are going to fail all of your other classes. Endless extra credit and opportunities to get the grade you need. The class I took him for was technically a science, certainly a top-5 General Ed science class at KSU.
Wish all the professors were like him. There is nothing less about him. He is over beyond amazing. There are extra credits and you can turn all you assignments any time. I was having a little hard time through my semester and his class helped my gpa. I would say this is the real professor. I give him 10+++ for his work and methods.
I took his Class online and Over the summer so it was super quick and had a lot of information. I think he is a great Professor who actually made me care about what I was learning. He actually had immersive lectures. I will warn you that the Reading quizzes are difficult but there is so much extra credit that it doesn't matter how you do on them.
Really easy class as long as you did the 2 discussions and 1 quiz every week. You would read a powerpoint that he hides questions in for 1 discussion and the other would be an article assignment where you would find an online article that related to the reading for that week. 2 exams and soooo much extra credit.
One of the best professors I've ever had. He's passionate about what he teaches and gives out tons of easy extra credit assignments. Attendance isn't mandatory but he does have in class assignments. honestly no reason you shouldn't get an A in this class
The class was not hard. Just kind of repetitive and did the same exact thing every week. Had to read a decent bit but was surely easy. Whole lot of extra credit. Its almost as if you can do nothing the whole semester and pass with just extra credit. I recommend
Easy class. Almost impossible to not get an A if you do the assignments. He's available to help you if you need it.
Loved this professor, one of the nicest I've ever had. He is super caring and understanding and does not make his class difficult. Willing to give extensions and is nice about it. The class is documentary and reading heavy but he makes up for it. Lots of extra credit opportunities as well.
week looks like: lecture discussion where you answer questions within lecture, reading quiz no lockdown!, and a discussion post with an article related to reading quiz. quick grader. lots of xrta credit to save ur grade if u do bad on a quiz or exam. Easy A take him NEOWWW.
Professor Rhodes produced a great online class. Recorded lectures w/ PowerPoint weekly. Each lecture has 4-8 questions you'll answer via Discussion. Each week has a documentary/reading component, docs with 10-12 sentence discussion, quizzes with readings. Discussion posts for articles related to the content weekly. 2 exams, great review prior. A++
This professor was amazing! He gives lectures that are actually over what you are studying and definitely go to his test review sessions because he gives all the answers to the test. There is a good amount of homework every week but it is very easy and he grades very graciously. Lots of extra credit, I gave mid effort in the class and got 101.
The best professor at KSU. I wish I had taken him in person he seems like an amazing person. LOTS of work because it was a 4-week class but they are enjoyable to read it's a lot so be aware. HUGE Extra credit opportunities and only 2 exams. Just do the assignment just like he said and you will get an A. 10/10 would recommend it and take it again!!!
Very boring lectures.
Professor Rhodes is an engaging instructor who makes this class really interesting. Lots of extra credit and partner work, but it's manageable if you stay on top of the readings. unstuck ai was a game-changer for prepping for tests.
Genuinely the most amazing professor! He truly cares about his students and is so helpful even outside of class things. He got me in contact with multiple people for my future career and he was always willing to meet with me about anything. I cannot recommend him enough. Please take any of his classes, it is so worth it!
Professor Rhodes is amazing! His class is very organized and every week you have a documentary to watch and write a reaction to, an article assignment, and a video assignment. He genuinely is passionate about his subject. He is kind an understanding about absences or late work and he gives TONS of extra credit every week.
THE BEST! Extremely easy class with a light work load and a super caring professor. His lectures are actually very interesting and I enjoyed the documentary's that we watched. 100% take his class.
The best online teacher I've had at Kennesaw. Very manageable workload, easy quizzes, interesting lectures. You can tell he is passionate about what he's teaching. Gives a lot of extra credit. Take him!
THE GOATTTTT!!!!! Super caring and understanding professor, 100% take this class.
loved loved loved this class!!! the readings were actually interesting and there's a lot of extra credit (most people wouldn't need it though) super nice professor and a solid class all around would take again
This class was such a breeze with Prof Rhodes. Each week consists of a response to the lecture (audio or transcript), a reading/documentary, an easy, short quiz, and an article assignment. He provides a ton of extra credit assignments (one-several per week), and gave me an extension whenever I needed it. I highly recommend his class!
This professor is great, he made the class material actually interesting to learn. He cares about what he's teaching and makes students care as well. A lot of the assignments were literally just watching movies and doing discussions. Very easy exams.
He genuinely cares about what he's teaching and his material is actually super interesting! He cares about his students and makes sure we are all well taken care of in terms of getting assignments completed. he also let us all try chocolate in class one day.
Very caring about students, exams are open note, takes late assignments, offers plenty of extra credit and it's open all semester, but I will say it's definitely going to require that you sit down and do the work for an hour or two per week.
AMAZING teacher! Weekly discussions/assignments on current global issues, and discussions in class about what we learned. He doesn't take attendance, but there are in-class assignments. Assignments, extra credit, and PowerPoints all on D2L, open until the end of the semester. Few quizzes and exams, super easy. Hard to fail this class!
The best professor I have had at KSU and I am a senior TAKE HIM!!!!
