His name is acually Jason Roberts. If you don't like liberal people, then you might not like him, but he's really fun and helpful. He's pretty easy as far as grading goes; I didn't have any issues. If you ask, he'll tell you about his band. Over all, really cool teacher.
This teacher tends to mumble and go on tangents. He allows students to take over the class which includes students verbally bashing each other in seriousness, not in fun. The method of essay writing is decent, unfortunately the lack of discipline makes it difficult to learn.
Mr. Roberts is fun, and a great teacher, it is refreshing to have a teacher that can relate to the students. I hear he is a good musician, and that makes him all the more cool.
Mr. Roberts is excellent. He not only taught lectures, he also tries to make them as short as possible. He helped me succeed with English A. Now I'm on my way to English 1A. I like how we do small quizzes from literature books. If you want to go along with English, use Mr. Roberts.
I really don't think he is well-prepared when he comes to class. I didn't learn much from him compared to my other English classes. The syllabus or calendar is not very clear. If you really want to learn, consider taking other more serious professors but, if you want to get good grades take him.
If you want to open your mind to a new way of thinking, take his course. Be sure to ask him when the next exam is and what it is on. This professor is wonderful. No homework...only essays and 25 question exams. FYI...Don't take him this summer-he is getting married. He already warned us!
He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Very interesting and makes you really think about your essays. I took the class the summer course before his wedding and he was still rediculously awsome. Hard grader but that is only because he wants to make you better at writting. It was hard but definitely worth it.
Hes really nice and smart. A little difficult, some of his assignments are better suited for grad school. Didn't learn the 5 types of essay. I bet he reads these too. Hi Jason!! and hes easy on the eyes :P

he is basically the hottest professor at sierra
J. Rob is a chill teacher who is very approachable and laid back. However, the subject is boring as hell. If you dont know what a verb is and you dont know where a comma goes, you shouldnt be in college.
super cool and easy to learn from!
He makes everything clear and understandable.
way hot
I took Jason for both 1A and Eng B. I felt that both times he was an awesome teacher and an overall cool guy! His course challenges you to think in a new way and really makes you look at what you're writing so you're not waisting anyones time. I only wish he tought more! And yes...he is HOT!!
this teacher is one of the best teachers i have had. He is funny, relaxed, and really helpful. I never was interested in english before him. His class was easy to pass.....but get the books online, they are a waste of money cuz u wont really use them!!! --GOOD TEACHER
Good teacher, wish the students were more encouraged by him. He is a hard grader but fair. If you put a good amount of effort into it you will do fine. Assignments are somewhat lengthy.

I dont think ive ever enjoyed a class more than this one. Its really refreshing to be able to actually enjoy a class and learn at the same time in college.I learned so much from writing essays which used to be my worse fear. Jason is overall one of the best teachers that crossed my path, and incredibly smart. English A was great!! o and hes hot!!
He makes you work for what you get. I can say that i didnt really try to do quality work when i started college but after his class i felt that i tried and that he improved me as a student. Mr. Roberts helped me with my problem of slacking. So not only is he a good teacher but he taught me something that will help me in through out college.
His class is extremely boring and he doesn't explain his paper topics very well. Peer editing doesn't help because other students aren't quailified to edit papers!!! Plus, with peer editing you have no idea if what you wrote is what the teacher wants! Avoid this teacher! I will!
He is as astute as a teacher one can find, although his style is unorthadox he follows though well.
Reminiscent of a young Dennis Hopper.(easy rider) Don't be late to his class. Share your opinion. Let your heart spill on to the paper. My writing improved ten fold. Thanks Jason.
Jason is a great guy! Loves music, he has his own band and makes crazy awesome music. Guitar genious. His class was pretty fun, I liked it. There were times when it was hard, for example when he introduces you to the "Funnel of Death", but once you get the hang of it, you'll be fine. Make sure you read the assigned reading, THERE WILL BE QUIZES!
This dude reminds me of Bill from the "Bill and Ted" movies. Very down to earth guy. He wants you to really think outside the box and analyze things without just stating the obvious. If you work hard and put forth your best effort then you should come out fine. Highly recommend for those pursuing an English major.
Jason is very sarcastic, and a bit unorthodox. However, his class discussions are very interesting, and makes you think outside the box. He is hard, but I would take him again in a heartbeat. I learned so much. Besides, he has his own band!
Very awesome teacher... very easy to talk to and extremely understanding!!! GREAT CLASS!!!
Great teacher! makes class interesting and doesn't do the same old stuff! Makes you think outside of what is considered normal. Essay writing workshops help a lot!
He is an amazing prof. He pushes his students to think out side of the box while writing as well as pushes them to create their own world view. Its way more than an english class, its critical thinking as well.
Professor Roberts is a great teacher! I have tried to get in the classes that he;s teaching because I already know that he's GREAT!
Not impressed. Took 1B online. Instructor has not been in contact with his students in the last two weeks of class. He is late getting essay feedback to us. He bought a house and his wife is pregnant, so that was his excuse one week. Also, assignments are not very clear and their is little interaction online with students.
I loved this teacher!! He is very helpful, i felt comfortable going up and asking questions, and I would always get an answer. I learned so much in this clas and my writing definitely improved. Hes such a funny guy which makes the class more interesting. You can't miss class on the days essays are due, besides that attendance is not a huge issue.
The best teacher I've ever had. Thanks to him, I have a totally new way of looking at literature. He makes you think for yourself instead of just recieving and memorizing info. Wants to hear your ideas & wants you to ask questions. He even invited us to come back with questions for other classes. Also, he is hilarious & interesting so class is fun.
Best English teacher I have ever had
Jason is an AMAZING Teacher!! He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He makes you think out side of the box and he really cares aobut helping you. Not easy, but if your work hard and work through the workshops its hard not to do well. TAKE HIM for english...he's the best. He is super nice and funny too:)
Jason is a super funny teacher and I love the way he teaches class. He directs the essay writing process differently than other teachers and it makes so much more sense!! He is able to tie all of our readings into the essays we write to make them more cohesive. He is willing to help anytime and encourages you to speak to him. A very good teacher!!!
Good teacher and helpful too. There is a lot of work in this class so be prepared ( don't underestimate his class) but you really do learn everything you possibly need to know to move on to the next class.
I found Jason to be extremely confusing. He would say one thing and do another. He would not tell us anything about homework assignments and then grade us really hard on them. Everyone in the class feels this way. Jason needs to hone is teaching skills.
One of the best english teachers at sierra college! His class is always awesome and a lot of fun. Take his class!
Awesome teacher. Explains things very well and is very funny. Highly recommend him
great teacher. Loves the writing like you love your Old E.
Excellent teacher. Highly recommented. Summer online class and you have few assignments due.
He is a hypocrite who claims to respect different opinions and grade objectively, and then turns around and deducts points for a paper with a different perspective than his. If you agree with him, your spelling and grammar can be wrong and you'll still get a decent grade. But heaven help you if you disagree.
Jason is a great teacher who has a laid back teaching style. Really cool guy to talk to and he relates the material well to things happening in the real world. One essay due per month. A progression style is used using multiple drafts. Doesnt grade papers until the end of the semester in our portfolio. Take his class!!
Great teacher. His class is fun and interesting. Semester goes by fast and so does his class. He's very good at explaining everything we needed to know about writing and becoming a better writer. I would recommend him for everyone. hes humorous, so makes the class interesting and hes not bad to look at, and his lectures are great.
Roberts is anamazing techer. I took his ybrid class and learned alot not just about writing. He is very helpful and pretty easy. There is hardly any reading and no research project. I highly reccomend him. Amazing guy and teacher!
Took his Eng 1a Hybrid class. Not boring at all, gets down to the students level so we understand. Fun assigments, blogging, writing, group work. Never embarrases anyone. A bit confusing when it came to online part, not much guidance. Great teacher, had lots of fun. Portfolio at end of semester is VERY important, dont blow off! raised my C to an A!!
As far as the creative writing process goes, you will learn a great deal. Unfortunately, Roberts either doesn't know what he wants from his students, or doesn't know how to articulate it. The reading is mostly mediocre, with a couple of gems. The real problem is the short story writing, though. Talks one way, grades another. Favors some students.
Changed my views on writing forever. His methods and teaching really clicked with me. Found tese classes to be my favorites, and Prof. Roberts was the reason.
He is one of the best Professors I have had since I started at Sierra College. Just follow his guidelines and submit everything on time, you will be surprised about your grade. Few assignments during summer. I wish he taught English 1B.
He's by far the best instuctor I've taken at Sierra College. In his class we did alot of one to one gorup interaction with other students. Professor Roberts is very helpful in class and when you meet him in his office.
I took his online class. Although the work load was acceptable, the instructions were confusing, so the class was kind of hard to keep up with. He tried to work with me some, but was very rude & defensive when I spoke to him. I had to drop. I only recommend him if you have a LOT of time to spend on this course.
Awesome, helpful, understanding, thorough!
I herd he was a great teacher so i decided to take his online class...all bad. It was allot of work and super confusing. He did not explain what I was doing wrong so I had to try to figure it out my self. He wasn't very helpful.
Awesome teacher!!! Took summer class online. I'm not that 'into' reading and writing. Writing process was much better than anticipated! Jason was extremely helpful and quick to respond when I had questions. Very organized and thorough. Dates and assignments clearly explained. Texts were not dull. I would HIGHLY recommend taking his class!!!
When i started taking his class i thought it would be hard but its not as hard as i thought. he does sort oworkshop everytime your paper is due and he'll help you to write a pretty decent essay. there is no final in this class and he has a good sense of humor. If you can, i'd take this class for english 01A!!
English 1A online was a fairly easy class. As long as you keep up with the workload and turn the assignments in on time you will pass with no lower than a C. I didnt like the grading schedule. Didnt recieve grades for essays in about a month. Overall a fairly easy class.
Great class. The assignments were fun. Fairly laid back structure. Only used the text for the first half of class. Mainly discussion and work-shopping our written assignments. This class is great for English majors and Roberts is a great professor.
Discussion Boards, 3 essays, MLA Project. Took this online. Had to work for my A, but it was generally easy. He was really nice, but I needed to email or go in to clarify a lot. I often felt his instructions were unclear. He takes a really long time to grade anything, but I think that is understandable. Overall it was a really good class.
Took the 1A online class. 3 essay's, couple discussion post's and MLA research project at the end. Overall descent online class. Proff replied very fast and gave good instructions. Workload is easy. Proff is a moderate grader.
Jason Roberts was by far my favorite teacher at Sierra. As an English major, I was already excited to take a creative writing class, and he just made it even better. He does not give A's on papers easily, but he makes the class fun and entertaining. TAKE HIM. It will be the right decision.
Very confusing class to take. His instructions weren't clear. He never participated in the discussion board even when it was obvious we were confused. Most assignments took 3 weeks + to be graded. Assignment due dates consistently changed. No clear direction or instruction. Just a lot of reading without any lecture/discussion with him.
Poor instructor. Mean and rude to most if not all students. Not available for help through email or during posted office hours. ALL assignments were graded super late, and he is really disorganized. Not a good experience.
He is challenging and thought provoking but over all my most favorite professor out of all teachers I have ever had with in the last 20 years of school. Seriously great and even made me think about becoming an English major.
Just a really self absorbed guy who forgets he has students. He was not helpful when I tried to ask for help many times. He changes his mind a lot, forgets stuff, and he lost one of my assignments. The other assignments were all turned back REALLY LATE. He basically makes students teach the other students. So he can play on his phone and mumble.
Jason is a really cool person . He's extremely smart and knows his subject ! He really wants you to be critical and come up with great ideas . He makes it difficult by not doing enough essay work in class. You are mostly left on your own until you get the hang of his harsh grading system. However , he is fair . So be creative and professional
Great professor overall. Very helpful and approachable. I recommend his class, really knows what he is doing and enjoys it.
I took English A twice prior to taking Roberts class. Roberts was way more helpful than the other teachers. I passed my final because of him. Awesome professor. He really cares about his students. I totally recommend him for English A.
He is one of the best English teachers that requires critical thinking when it comes to essays so you will learn a lot. Take him he is a amazing instructor.
Not sure about other reviews. Professor Roberts was not helpful, and I asked for help. His classes are okay, liked all my classmates. But he is really forgetful, not organized, and NEVER available to answer questions, he kept putting me and others off. I passed thanks to the writing center, not his instruction or assignments. I don't recommend!
He's a good instructor. We read three different novels and wrote essays on them which, if you didn't do too hot on, you can revise them and get a better score. There weren't any tests really just a quiz here and there to make sure you actually read the books. There wasn't an actual textbook. He's legit. I learned a lot taking his class.
One of the best English instructors on campus. He has by far been the most helpful when it comes to writing. I definitely recommend him as a teacher! His class is never boring.
Really cares about student success. Thank goodness there are still teachers out there who are willing to help. Roberts is really approachable if you need any help with understanding assignments.
I would say Professor Roberts was a typical online teacher. Gave all the information we needed and expected students to be responsible for deadlines without reminders. His "Strategies for Effective Writing" handbook has really helped guide me in my writing and earned me an A on a first draft, and I will continue to use it.
Take this class. Roberts is very helpful but you do have to put in the effort. He will help if you ask for it.
Every time you miss a class he is quick to give you a zero, but when you show up and turn your work in he either loses it or forgets to put it in the grade book. Too many distractions in this professor's life. He is not vested in his students success.
Jason really wants you to succeed and be critical of all the material he gives you. there's quite a bit of essays but you should expect that if you're going into an english class, he gives you time to revise them as well which is a plus. He can get a little side tracked but other than that he's a great instructor and I would recommend him to anyone
Expects you to be in class and does not accept any late work. He makes that pretty clear. Not difficult if you stay on top of your work. No extra credit :(
Roberts is a great teacher he wants all his students to pass the class and he understands that every student also has an personal life and tries his best to fit your needs. He is very helpful when it comes to his work.I highly recommend you take him, he will change the way you feel about English teachers and will make your college experience easier
Put in the effort and you should be fine in his class. Can't say anything bad about his class or teaching methods. Jason Roberts is literally the best and does great teaching the material. Take his class.
Can't say anything bad Professor Roberts. He pushes you to think critically. Not an easy A, you do have to put in the effort.
Cool guy and the class is easy. Not organized at all!
Easy class. It was film sooo...
Best teacher ever!
Nice prof when he answered emails but not much feedback given as an in person class. not much feedback either from classmates due to unclear prof. directions. glad i got the writing practice but prof. not highly accessible or great at emailing when needed or wanting additional feedback.
Suppose to be a easy "A" filler class but that is so untrue. Grading is very unclear, feed back is very minimal when you need it, no compassion for issues in life for assignments but allowing his un-organization skills to effect the class. This is a film class that he treats like a proper English lecture class. Not worth the hassle and issues.
Roberts is a great teacher!!! Forget what others have to say, you will love him. he is a little hard but only because he knows you can do better. he gives out his office hours and is available during does times. take him you will love him
I have taken 2 of Professor Roberts English classes, I am enrolled in one right now. He is a very nice and funny guy, but when it comes down to it, he's very unorganized. My grades are still not updated online and the semester is almost over. Although the class is fun and good reads too! He is passionate about teaching, but sometimes he isn't clear
looks like Brendan Fraser, the dude from George of the Jungle. He is a really great professor a mastermind of putting together words. For his class DONOT slack off because it will bight you in the rear, stay ontop and do the work before hand. It is not Hard if you do the work, at least try your best. He wants you to succeed so Talk to him for help!
Over smart
I'm taking Professor Robert's class online. The reading material is really interesting. I have 3 weeks left and he's only graded one of my 3 papers so far. I got the highest score in the class and it was only a B. So yeah, he's a really tough grader. You definitely have to put in a lot of effort if you want to succeed. Have to do stuff almost daily
Professor Roberts not only taught me how to write, he also showed me the beauty of it. I have taken 3 English classes with Professor Roberts, one which I took just because I became so passionate about writing. Now, a Bachelors degree later and about to start Grad school, I still view Professor Roberts as a friend and mentor.
lots of group discussions /activities, there are never lectures, lazy/unorganized when grading papers, you have to use a binder (which is easily unorganized if you don't know where to place your files). He tries too hard to be the "cool hip teacher" but just comes off as a pushover. Brags about his band too much. Has a weird teaching style/lazy
Jason is a nice guy and the creative writing class I took was not particularly difficult. He did teach some valuable things about writing, but the main thing is he was INCREDIBLY UNCLEAR! He's so confusing and I never knew what was going on assignment-wise. It was bad. If you're the type of person who needs clear directions, take someone else.
Jason Roberts is the best English professor I've ever had. His teaching style is unique and very helpful! He defiantly makes his class worth coming too. A lot of writing but the prompts are always interesting. Would defiantly take again!
Roberts class was interesting. He teaches his students to form arguments, so he picks some rather controversial topics. This makes for some weirdly inappropriate lectures. Thankfully, he is unbiased on opinions. Sadly, he's not always friendly either. But teaching wise, he's very good. His class is difficult but will make future writing feel easier
I definitely enjoyed Jason Roberts' creative writing class. I learned a lot and he helped me to not be so shy about my writing. However, I have to admit that his process is very disorganized, and his instructions are occasionally unclear. That being said, he is far from being a bad teacher.
He is very specific with what he wants to seen you work. Revision is key. Stay organized and follow instructions a long with textbook and you will be fine. Summer course was mostly interaction w/ peers.
I took this course online, but Professor Roberts did his utmost to stay on top of grades and in contact with students. The assignments were clear as to what was required and grading criteria. His feedback on assignments was encouraging and very hekpeful, especially for submitting revised essays at the end of the semester. I heartily recommend him.
This Prof is a nice teacher, but he was super spacey and didn't grade our work until the class was almost over. He left me feeling like I got an A because he didn't stay on top of the workload.
I am usually do not enjoy English classes and get bored in them but prof. Roberts makes the class fun because he makes lots of jokes and has us do a lot of group activities. He also gives us tools to help with our organization, which I really need, and he gives very helpful feedback on essays.
I took him for 3 semesters and yes we makes you do a lot of drafts but it really does help. He is a great professor, he made me improve on my writing and is the reason for me finally being able to enjoy and understand literature!
I enjoyed Professor Robert's so much I took him several times. He is a great guy! He is very inspiring and truly loves to teach. His classes are not lecture based and there is a lot of classroom discussion which I found more helpful. He isn't per-say "easy" but he definitely makes class enjoyable and a comfortable welcoming environment.
Professor Roberts was one of my favorite teachers so far. Funny and very approachable. No tests or quizzes, just one portfolio showing all your work. 3 essays- provides all the sources and materials. More group workshop based rather than lecture based. Accessible during workshops and outside of class. Very open minded and will grade based effort.
He requires a lot of reading. However, it isn't very difficult. He is a laid back grader, hilarious, and a great teacher. Easily would take his course again.
I took three classes with him, one was online. I love his way of teaching. His lectures are very interesting. I would definitively take him again.
He's a good teacher and he's clear with all his grading expectations (until the end). His class may be a little disorganized towards the end due to multiple classes he teaches, but you can definitely get an A with bare minimum work - just follow all the rubric guidelines! Laid back teacher and open to suggestions! Must take it you want an A.
He is an ok teacher, I feel like these reviews are not accurate. He is very unorganized, he also takes way too long to grade your work and gives you little time to fix it and return it. I would looking a different teacher.
I took his summer English 1A class and I had a terrible experience. The instructions were unclear, the links/videos provided didn't work half the time, and he took too long to grade. Whenever I would ask for help, he would refer me to the syllabus and course instructions. I wouldn't be asking if I understood the instructions provided. Never again.
Amazing professor. Took an online class and he was very thorough with work directives. Everything was due on Friday which gave us plenty of time to complete assignments and everything was easy to follow through. Pretty easy class to ace, just follow guidelines and do your homework. Really easy to pass and would definitely take this class again!
Roberts is such a great human being. He definitely cares about your future and is very understanding. He is an approachable professor even when it may not seem that way in the beginning. He tends to give an intimidating vibe, but after a while you can talk to him like a friend. I will be taking him for another semester!
Prof. Roberts is hands down my favorite teacher through out my whole academic career - and I'm half a semester from graduating Law School. When I first met prof. Roberts, I didn't know a thing about writing; now I love to write, and he taught me how to do so effectively.
Jason is so kind and encouraging. (I had him for 1A and 1B, too.) He cares about his students as individuals, and he's always ready to listen and give advice, even about non-class related things. He taught me everything I know about writing -- when I started, I could barely write an intro paragraph. In his classes, you get out what you put in.
I took his English 1A class online if you complete the assignments and follow his guidelines then you'll end up passing. The only thing about him will through you off is that he gets behind on grading. Overall, Roberts is very clear on giving great feedbacks with essays. He will let you revise the essays for a better grade!
Roberts is a great professor. He never lectures at us, instead he opens up the topics for discussion. He expects everyone to insert their own take on the text and ponder literary movements with your classmates. Rest assured, you'll always be heard in his class. He gets behind in grading and at least has the best intentions to be organized.
Professor Roberts is one of the best English teachers I've ever had. As a future English teacher, I plan to use a few of his teaching styles. He made class a ton of fun and taught me so much about essay writing and how to analyze writing in different ways. I 100% recommend him for anyone considering any of his classes.
Had Roberts in previous Eng class and enjoyed his lectures and feedback despite his spiral of disorganization. Returning for 1A , it was a complete mess the entire semester. He didn't follow ANY criteria of the syllabus he set up, talked a lot about politics, and came in majority of time with a unprofessional attitude. Very disappointing/difficult.
Jason was not clear with his assignments and actually had to cancel some because he couldnt keep up with grading them. Also, he had you do some assignments that felt unnecessary and tedious. Hes not reasonable when it comes to grading and was very disorganized. Ive taken his class twice (A & 1A) and wont be taking any with him again. :(
For the online class the directions for assignments are very unclear. The syllabus is nicely laid out but the assignments are very hard to follow as a lot of the time they just don't make sense.
Jason is very vague in his assignment requirements, so completing them is often times very frustrating. His dog barks in his lectures which is distracting. There is no syllabus. The course outline and manner he presents is disorderly and confusing. He's overdue on grades (3 wks). He often time asks for response but doesn't clarify the question???
He's a good teacher he just takes forever to grade and it is kind of annoying when he is like 3 weeks behind on posting grades but all in all if you do the work half way you'll get an A trust me.
"I forgot this is an 8 week class." What? Jason is all over the place, granted he had an event that distracted him from grading, but he is detrimental to your own individual organization. Ex: I completed an assignment he assigned for the 20th. That due date has been in the syllabus for 6 weeks. This week, he changes it to the 28th. Ridiculous!
I felt Professor Roberts was a very fair grader & instructions were clear, you just have to listen to his video lecture for precise instructions before you do the work. He gives excellent feedback on the essays you write. He actually creates a video of his voice walking you through the improvements needed in your paper & you can resubmit! Awesome!
I learned a ton about writing in this class! I used to find essay writing difficult but now I have tools that make a huge difference. Roberts is so personable & approachable. He answers all questions timely & is flexible. He pushed out a couple of assignment dates because he had not given feedback on a prior assignment. I really appreciated that!!!
Jason Roberts literally changed how I viewed everything. After taking this class i learned so much more then english and how to right. Literal life lessons. Made a huge impact on me. Great guy and teacher!
Professor Roberts is awesome. The material we went over in this class changed my life. I found him to be completely reasonable and accommodating when I needed. He was very responsive. He recognized when he made an error and gave us extra time. No one is perfect. Some of these comments seem crazy to me. Maybe slow to grade, but with good feedback.
Professor Roberts was probably one of the least responsive professors i've ever had. I would email him and he would respond weeks after, sometimes even after the assignment was due. He's a slow grader and even postponed due dates because he couldn't catch up with his work load. He's very disorganized which makes an easy class seem stressful.
Jason has a lot of cool interests and had interesting information to share. But he comes across as being a bit set in his ways. He seems to have an idea of what "good fiction" is and does not seem to budge on it. His feedback can kind of subjective. He is encouraging but seems a little aloof. Enjoyed the analysis portion of class more than writing.
Jason is a sweet and kind professor, He has a nice personality and wants to help his students to succeed in the class. He gives great feedback on essays and tests. He is my favorite English professor and I have built a great relationship with him.
If you put in the work, you get what you deserve, but he doesn't round grades. Reasonable in expectations and grading. For class, lots of long readings that are used for essays or quizzes. 3 essays, project, and reflection are due towards of the semester. Going to him for feedback multiple times for essays helped my grade immensely.
Really great guy and overall pretty good class! The only bad things are he is REALLY disorganized and isnt clear on grading criteria. We didnt even get to half the stuff we were supposed to and were pretty rushed throughout the semester since he was all over the place. Really enjoyed his class though!
Professor Roberts is easily one of the best teachers I've had. Very empathetic and just a cool guy. He is much less focused on the content of your work than the amount of effort you put in. If you turn everything in, you'll finish with an A. I finished this class WAY more confident about writing and planning out writing assignments.
I loved professor Roberts! He is a great teacher, opinionated but in the greatest way possible. If you do the reading and the work youll do great in his class. Plenty of time & workshops for the essays so theres no excuse to not have it done. He also offers for you to visit him during office hours to review essays even if its for other classes.
This class was mostly group discussions/activities. There was no lectures given, it was mostly him talking about politics and then asking the students their thoughts and how to compare them. Attendance gets you extra credit. He was very disorganized, and we were behind by 5 weeks. I would not take this class again.
I think he forgets that he is teaching an English class
I took Jason's American Lit class my final semester at Sierra as an English major. I loved his teaching style; he was very open and approachable if you had questions or concerns about projects/assignments. He had a great sense of humor that he brought into the classroom, making his class that much more enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend Jason.
Jason is late but wants his class there before him. His dog is very loud and distracting during the lecture.
forgets he is a English teacher
