He is very nice and he follows the syllabus. He will help you whenever you need it and always replies to emails quickly. One post a week on a topic regarding government. You have to reply to two student's post as well. Quizzes and tests every other week. He gives you good feedback on your posts. Final is online.

He's a little tough, but fair and the test are pretty easy, but he doesn't slouch on the discussion boards.

Professor Rooks class is not an easy A. You will make an A as long as you do the work and follow his guidelines. His quizzes and tests are all online, including Midterm and Final. All answers for the quizzes and tests are in the powerpoints. Make sure you answer the discussion post correctly with citations and you will be fine. He's very helpful!

Professor Rooks is a easy professor to have. I took him online during the summer. You have a discussion board each week to do. If you don't do them then it will hurt your grade. He expects you to write the discussion boards like a college student so you can't slack on them but that's the only thing be really asks. Tests & final online & EASY!!

This was an excellent course! I enjoyed every single bit of it. I expanded my knowledge about politics and politicians and leanrt new things. Something that I loved about this course was the extra credit opportunity, I got to choose my own topic!! The professor is always there, I never experienced any unanswered questions or concerns.

Fantastic teacher!!! Professor Rooks is a fair grader, but you have to put forth the effort. There is a lot of tests and quizzes, but he gives you the study guides, so if you do not pass the tests or quizzes, you should not be in school. There are weekly discussion posts and exercises, but you can pick which one you want to do that week.

Prof. Rooks class was superrrrrr easy. I can't stress the word SUPER easy any more than I just did. When it comes to this class, the man knows his stuff. So don't try and get over. If he could teach all my college course, I would definitely take him over and over again.

This class truly wasn't that difficult. The only reason i put a 3 for level of difficulty is because i despise writing papers. and by the word "paper" i mean a 300 (or more) word essay (not as terrible as i worked it up to be in my head). The class was interesting enough that I've considered actually re-reading some of the book.

Amazing teacher, I thought he was fair with all students and did not treat anyone different. Gave great feed back and gave good pointers if needed. Even though it was online it made me want to do the work and get a good grade, that is always a plus on my side :)

He is an easy grader. This class has a lot of writing assignment like every other week, but quizzes and 4 exams are online except a final exam. Have a quiz and test review make everything go really easy.

I was just going to clep out of this class, but after reading other reviews, I took it and really glad that I did. It was a really good class and the writing assignments really do make one think about the subjects. Professor Rooks gives good feedback and is understanding and funny. Prof Rooks is the best I've had thus far. He alternates tests and 500 word essays every other week. The test are uber easy if you use the study guides but he does dig in on the writing. This was an interesting class, with an interesting teacher. I was pleased with taking his class and it was so much better than my "People and politics " class 17 years ago. He offers extra credit (that's how I got a 104% in the class!), which was an essay on lots of subjects. He gives great feedback on the writing posts each time as well.

Prof Rooks is an excellent teacher. He will make you question your stance on the issues in the assignment, while providing excellent feedback. A quiz every other week, plus six to seven 500 word assignments. Put effort into class & you'll make an A. Quizzes/tests are open book. You should also know how to properly write a paper.

Prof. Rooks is simply AMAZING! His course is not tough and all the test are online so it's very easy to complete. The best part is he has study guides that help with all the testable material so it's really hard to not do good in his class. I took Him for American Government online and he was amazing. Every test was based on the study guides word for word. the final will be the same way. He makes funny jokes here and there. Acts very professional but has a sense of humor which is good. This was my first online college class and I thought it was moderately hard, the papers were the hardest part but test were easy. If you didn't do some of the papers and still did good on the tests then it didn't effect you too much, maybe like one letter grade, which I liked very much.

Be prepared to write a lot of papers over given topics. I would not recommend taking this course until you have taken ENC 1101, unless you are a naturally gifted writer. Assignment and test due dates are pretty straight forward so it's not as if there are tons of assignments due throughout the week.

Good overall instructor gives study guide all test are online. So nice not to have to drive to school to take test. Study guide and test closely resemble each other.

Assignments due every week, so you have to be on top of things!

The work for this class is pretty easy as long as you do your research for papers and get your information from the power point or book when doing the quizzes. An A is easy to maintain as long as you do your work.

The work in this class is fairly simple and straightforward. The grading on the essays are not the harshest, and the feedback from the professor and the student feedback (that is required for the class) is always useful to expand one's writings for future classes. It is easy to maintain a passing grade with in the class.

Jason Rooks is an excellent professor. I really enjoyed taking his class and would most definitely take one of his courses again. Even though there is quite a bit of work to be done, I highly recommend taking one of his classes.

I took Professor Rook's class online and it was my favorite class all semester. This is a teach that truly wants to see his students succeed and does what he can to see that happen.

I took this class online and did not have much trouble with it. The directions are always very clear- there are a lot of writing assignments but they are not very difficult. Quizzes can be a little tough but he does give 1 or 2 fun bonus questions. He also allows you to gain extra credit at the end of the semester. This is a great online course

Great online class and great teacher!

Although he gives many essay assignments, he takes the time to individually read each paper and give personal feedback to each student. He also uses light humor in all of his emails, and even at the end of tests. He also offers extra credit if you truly need it.

I'm taking the class online, and it has been easy. The study guides with questions and answers take the stress out of the entire semester! All questions on tests come from those study guides (even final exam). The only thing that makes you put the real work into the class are the 7-8 essays (one every 2 weeks) but it's only worth 20%.

Took online and I loved this class! He is super funny! Every other week we had to do a 500 word disscussion board post. Not hard at all. In the alternating weeks we took tests. The tests came straight from the book. All of the questions were easily found. The midterm and final were questions from our old tests. Definitely would take this again!
