class was interesting enough. pretty simple. however, he has a strict attendance policy. very strict. he takes points off of your final average if you don't come to class. sucks. but if you can make it to class, you'll do alright.

Dr. Scofield was so easy. I've heard he is the easiest human development professor at alabama. jus memorize the notes that he does in class and u should make an easy A. he also posts the notes online on tegrity if u happen to miss some notes while out of class.

Super easy. Buy his notes in the book store and he has study guides online for each test. You also have 3 projects and they are easy A's. overall, easy A... take this professor if possible. and DO NOT buy the book, i didn't open it once and he doesn't want you to either.

Great instructor. Good examples to help students comprehend concepts. Book is useless, he will prob. tell you that 1st day of class. Go to class, do the extra credit, make good test grades=easy A!

Great teacher! If you have to take Human Development definitely take him! Fill in the blank notes, 4 tests and a project with each test. Go to class, get all the notes and study and you will get an pretty good grade. Do all the extra credit he offers and it will raise you grade at least one letter!

I had him for Honors HD 101. He thoroughly explains each concept with interesting examples and videos. The notes were easy to comprehend and the tests weren't too hard. Each project was pretty simple. He always made sure everyone understood him. Take his class if you can!

Such a great teacher, and a super easy class. Attendance is passed around every class so go and sign in. The notes are printed off, you just have to fill in the blanks. There is a project for every test, but they aren't hard to do. The tests are straight from the printed off notes, and he gives so much extra credit!

Scofiled made this class extremely easy to get an A in. I never made above an 86 on a test and walked out of the class with an A+ thanks to all of the extra credit he offers. The projects aren't very time consuming and studying for the tests wasn't all that difficult, either. Overall, he was a great teacher.

I never made above a B on the tests and got an A+ for the course. Do the extra credit and you will succeed! His tests are tricky but if you go to class and do the extra credit you will be fine. I recommend!

TAKE THIS CLASS. Don't waste your money buying the textbook. He doesn't use it. His tests are tricky. I've never gotten above a B, but will end up with an A for the semester because of extra credit. He keeps class interesting. He shows a lot of funny videos and always lets us out early which is a plus.

Interesting class. He plays video clips on a daily basis and reads off his PowerPoint. I memorized my notes and got everything in class, but could never make a 100 on the test...always 1-2 questions we never talked about. Take the extra-credit opportunities. He is kind of rude when you talk to him alone, but is pleasant in class.

Easy class. He keeps it very interesting with fun videos during lectures. He takes attendance everyday but you will not mind attending this class. Exams are fairly easy as well.

He supplies his power points in note form at the Supe store and follows them directly in class. 3 tests and 3 projects, projects are easy and tests are alright but he does not prepare you much for them. Attendance is mandatory except for your few unexcused ones that are allowed.

Dr. Scofield is great! He's funny and pretty laidback. His Honors class consists of 3 tests, 3 easy projects, and a paper. He gives a ton of extra credit opportunities and is very willing to help. Pay attention to lectures, study the powerpoint slides, and you should be fine. Highly recommend his class.

He is a really fun professor. He knows exactly what he is talking about. He shows a lot of videos and gives a lot of examples. His tests are mainly examples and you do not need to buy the book just his power point notes. I would recommend him to anyone.

Teaches from PowerPoint - and you can buy a packet of all the slides for about $8. Don't bother buying the textbook. As long as you show up and pay attention, this is not a difficult class.

Tests seem easy, but I always received lower than I thought. offers a lot of extra credit. keep up with the journals, DON'T WAIT! very good speaker and holds attention well. definitely by the power points from supply store, teaches directly off of them.

Dr. Scofield is a fantastic professor. There is a ton of opportunity for extra credit and the journals are really easy. A lot of my friends said the tests were hard, but if you show up, take notes, and then review before the test, you'll be fine.

Dr. Scofield is a really engaging professor. I think the majority of the class enjoyed his lectures because he made it interesting. The class is not difficult at all, and there are extra credit opportunities that are a breeze. I strongly recommend attending lectures and make sure to review the class notespowerpoints before exams.

Dr. Scofield is an excellent professor! His test are challenging but if you go to class and pay attention you will do fine. He also gives lots of extra credit and other easy assignments to help boost your grade. I would take his class again if I could!

Highly recommend Dr. Scofield for HD 101. He knows his stuff and is very funny. He almost always finished 10-15 minutes early, and his powerpoint notes have been printed and are available for purchase at the SupeStore. Don't buy the textbook, you won't use it or need it. Just go to class. He gives out extra credit like candy.

My favorite teacher I have. The textbook just provides a more clear depiction of the bullet points in the powerpoint slides at the super store. Honestly, you could google them but I find the textbook more helpful. You only lose 1 point for not attending and attendance is taken randomly.

I didn't take the class serious and I wish I would have. His notes can be bought at SUPestore. His tests can ruin your grade if you don't study. So dont mess up like I did. Takes attendance.

Dr. Scofield is so funny and genuinely interesting. You can buy his notes at the SUPeStore, but he still takes attendance and it is still beneficial to attend class. He shows videos and makes everything relevant. He made it so interesting I seriously considered picking up a minor in Human Development.

Dr. Scofield was my favorite professor I had this semester. The lectures were really interesting and easy to understand. There are only 3 tests during the semester and if you study the notes, you'll easy get an A. He takes attendance a lot, so you should go to class. I would definitely take this class again.

Very helpful. There are homework assignments, but they go along with class materials so it isn't busy work, it actually helps. I never skipped a class just because I enjoyed the lectures and his teaching style. I would highly recommend this professor.

Very friendly guy, and the lectures aren't painful at all. The tests are easy enough if you pay attention in class. Sometimes he randomly takes attendance, though, so that's something to watch out for.

It's only the third week of the semester and everything is the way it should be. He is clear about what he expects. He has a wordpress site made where you can find everything you need to know. His lectures are entertaining and he really cares about making sure you understand the material by using memorable examples. 10/10 would take again!

Professor Scofield's class was not painful to sit through at all. He was very funny and he used really funny and memorable examples in his lectures. He barely gives homework and his tests are easy if you go to class and buy his notes from the Supestore. Would take again!

He is a very easy going guy. He takes attendance but its only worth 1 point each class. He assigns articles to read every week and you have to turn in a response for them. The tests are decent but he does not post the notes so you have to buy them from the supestore. It's an easy class but I recommend attending for a good grade.

Professor Scofield is a good professor but it is a little difficult to stay focused in class. Make sure you go to class because some stuff he says in class is on the test. Overall a good teacher though.

He is a very nice guy and his lectures keep you engaged. His tests are online and he takes attendance 25 times throughout the semester. The only homework you have are Journals which take 5-10 minutes.

You have multiple journals, around 25, 3 test and a research paper. VERY easy class and easy to get your points. Lectures got a little boring towards the end, but I went to class everyday in a hybrid class and very much enjoyed it. Pay attention and you'll get an A. Very nice professor highly recommend for 101.

Attendance isn't mandatory for this class, but if you do not attend or do not go back and take notes on the lecture, you won't pass the exams. The exams are all 50 questions, open note, but they relate very heavily to the powerpoint slides and things mentioned in lectures. Good notes are crucial to pass. Dr Scofield was very nice and teaches well.

His lectures are great! The weekly journals are a great grade booster, and there is a decent amount of extra credit. As long as you study your lecture notes, you will get a good grade on his tests. I really enjoyed this class, and I learned a lot of useful information!

He is such a sweet man! His class was very easy and had a lot of structure. You have journal entries all throughout the class and 3 bigs test throughout the semester. Just do the work and youll make a good grade!

Professor Scofield was a great professor for my spring 2021 semester. He did not require individuals to attend class but if you attend lectures and listen you would do well on the tests. Scofield is very considerate with his extra credit. Would definitely recommend him!

Dr. Scofield is one of my favorite professors so far. He is a very very very chill guy and actually pretty funny. He goes over the material well and you can buy a copy of his slides at da ferg. As long as you dont forget to turn anything in and just pay attention, youll do very well. I struggle with learning and ADHD and was able to pass with an A.

This class was very interesting but I will warn you the test are harder than expected so make sure you study for them, but they are manageable. Also at the end of the semester, he has a research paper, and if you spend more than an hour on it and actually try you'll make a 50/50. Some people just don't try and that's why he has some bad reviews.

This class was so easy. I only went like 3 times this semester, and I passed with an A. All of the work is easy, and it takes like 10 minutes max. The tests are online and open note. He also posted all the notes on blackboard, or you could buy them from the ferg.

Great professor and straight forward class. The honors group met a few times out of class over zoom to discuss additional case studies, but they had no additional assignments.

Tests are all online and you have 25 journals to do throughout the semester, but they are short and easy. There is one research paper at the end but if you work hard you will get a good grade. The tests are lowkey tricky though.

Lectures are engaging and fun although I did not attend second half of the semester and still ended with an A. He provided several extra credit options too.

Great guy and very good lecturer! He really knows his stuff and seems to enjoy his job. Attendance was technically not mandatory but there were in class assignments that could only be done in class. All the tests were online and open note, including the final. No textbook necessary.

His lectures aren't boring and he tries to make them fun for his students. Attendance is not mandatory but he does give 25 in-class assignments throughout the semester, worth 2 points if completed in-class and 1/2 credit if completed online. All tests outside of the final are not in-person and if you listen during lecture they are easy.

He is an amazing professor! However, his class is full of information that is hard to be tested on. It's all application-based questions with very similar multiple choice answers. So, make sure you write down EVERYTHING he says! Other than that, I would take his class again! He's great.

One of the best professors I've had so far! He cares about his students and wants you to succeed. Tests are open note and the final is a cumulative exam. Overall, he's a really great guy and his lectures are pretty engaging.

Dr. Scofield deeply cares about you doing well in his class. He's a great communicator, and his lectures are very comprehensive, even if you have him at the crack of dawn. He always did his best to make the tests/final fair, and maintained classroom engagement by creating short response assignments that related to HD in some way.

Great professor, great lectures, great tests. The final was literally just a mishmash of all 4 tests we had. Reused sample questions on the tests too. Showed some freaky sausage party esque videos tho which was funny
