The class is easy; you have to go on Wednesdays because that's when you present, but on Mondays, it's the research day, and you don't have to go as he is chill even if you are running late. Overall the environment is positive, and he is so helpful he even connected me with someone from Unicef.

Professor Shela is fantastic! He provides useful feedback to make you feel comfortable, confident, and great at public speaking and giving speeches. He makes class very enjoyable and ensures that everyone gets to meet each other at the start to get to know each other better. All assignments are interesting and the grading criteria are very clear.

I would 100% recommend him for Com 3021. We had speeches due every other class but he was very clear on what he wanted to hear. He'd give us some days off which was great because I would need the time to prep for either his class or another. While attendance is mandatory, he's very understanding if you just aren't feeling well.

Hands down one of the best professors at Baruch College. Genuinely cares about his students and truly is a gem. Class itself is basically departmental with 4 speeches so the workload isn't hard but slight (basic) research is required.

Communications classes can often be stressful, but Professor Shela's class was very light and relaxed. There is a total of four speeches, so the workload is very manageable and not overwhelming. The professor is very supportive of his students when it comes to the speeches themselves, as well as recommendations and career advice.
