the readings are really interesting. Mostly stories about people with disorders and if u write lil summary you get full credit. And no textbook---the notes on blackboard are better than any psych text i've seen!!

His tests are very straightforward, because he gives a review sheet stating exactly what you need to know. Final exam is not cumulative, so this class was an easy A+. I am no longer at KCC, I took psych36 with him back in the fall 2013. His class literally inspired me to become a mental health nurse. He is an awesome professor, very friendly and he makes it a fun class. This was the best class I have ever took at my time in KCC. All thanks to him.

TBH prof Jason is the best prof I ever had in my whole life. He has a very good knowledge. NO HOMEWORK. EXTRA CREDITS and it's up to u if u want to do it. 3 exams and 1 final. He gave us the 3rd exam taking home test. I got 100 in all his tests because of the extra credits. No need for the textbook. Funny class

Had a 3 hour class that seemed like it lasted for only an hour, with so much excitement and activities. He likes to teach and make sure that his students understand even though you can't get it the first he will keep on trying until you do. He gives extra credit and gives great feedback on tests. Lots of extra credits( I never did any), 3 regular exams but the lowest exam grade is dropped(one of the exams may even be a take home) and 1 final. Overall, he's an amazing professor.

THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER! Even though it was an asynchronous class, he was always available and replied very quickly to all emails. One quiz a week and 1 homework. Gives plenty of extra credit opportunities. His lectures, power points and study guides are all you need for the tests. Kingsborough needs more professors like him.

It's the 6th week that I took Prof. VanOras's class, and I haven't had such an amazing professor ever. It's my third semester. If you have a chance to take an open slot, just don't hesitate and go for it... I'm on my way to get an A+ and I'm 100% sure that I'll succeed in this class because of the professor's energy and way of teaching.

One of the easiest professors' to get an A from! He is amazing and his lectures are super informative and helpful! 10/10

Professor Jason Van Ora, He is one of the best top professors I have had ! He makes sure everyone understands the material and willing to go out of his way to help any student! His tests are based on what we learn in class and not at all tricky, he truly is amazing, I learnt so much! I 100% would take this class again no doubt . 10/10!

Hands down Jason is the BEST professor I have ever had! He cares so much about each and everyone one of his students and goes out of his way to make sure everyone understands what he is teaching. Gave an outline at the beginning of the semester that will have all of the answers to the multiple choice test he gives. He offers a lot of extra credit!

I thoroughly enjoyed Professor VanOra's PSY11 course. He keeps it extremely interesting, I can listen to him talk all day. Gives great examples and demonstrations. This was an online asynchronous course, however I wish I could've taken this class in person.
