His class is not that bad, just do the reviews because they are just like the test, just different numbers. He repeats what he says all the time, but his class is really good. Wetherington is easy, do your homework, study and it's an easy class. Stats was extremely easy, he pretty much gave you the test the week before, and you knew exactly what you were in for.

He was really nervous. I mean I just took the class for an easy A (and it was easy.) He wasn't so personal, he didn't even remember my name by the end of the class. I never did homework and slept a few times in class, although I answered the most questions in class. I reccomend this class if you don't understand math at all.

He is amazing! I loveed him, i like to be taught to where i remember the material when i get home! He took his time and made sure every one understood him! i loved his class! Highly recommend!

Mr. Wetherington is a very good math teacher! Prior to taking his class, i never understood math at all. Unlike all my previous math teachers, he actually takes the time to make sure that everyone understands the information and goes through all the information at a slow pace. I definitely recommend this class!

i had wetho in all of high school and college. i personally think he's an awesome person and a great teacher. he doesn't mind explaining a problem to you, whether it takes 5 minutues or an hour, he'll make sure you understand it. and he makes his class fun, constantly making you laugh. i'd definitely recommend him to anyone.

Mr Wetherington is a great teacher.I had him over the summer for College Algebra. It was a 6 wk course, 3 hrs a class- twice a week. He was soo patient and has a great sense of humor. He gives partial credit on his tests, and extra credit for attendance. He tells you exactly what to study for his tests too!

I had him for Int. Algebra and he was awesome. He's a total math geek, he really loves the subject, and he will explain problems over and over until you get them. His reviews are very exact, there's no suprises on his tests, except the math puzzles for xtra credit - Hard! :) Really funny with a great sense of humor. Definitely Recommended!

He won't go on until everybody understands the concept. His tests are easy but are time consuming. He's a brilliant man-- sit down with him if you don't get something, and he'll be happy to explain it. Does have a communication problem, and doesn't like to get personal or make eye contact, so don't expect to get friendly with him. Overall, great!

I really liked him. He's really loves math! Have him do a math magic trick for you ; ) He gives reviews before the tests that are EXACTLY what you need to study and will go over the problems over and over for you! Awesome teacher. He looks like a huge oversized baby. Easy to understand. Absolutely loves math! Almost named is baby Mathematica lol. Take him as much as possible!

He is a good teacher but this is just a hard subject. He will do as many examples as you want and try his best to get you to understand. He is not a harsh grader and factors homework into your final grade. I was satisfied with what I received from this class.

He is an excellent teacher ! Always very helpful and makes sure that it is clarified, asking... "Does any one have any questions?" He's funny in his own mathematical way and very, very great. I extremely recommend him and his class to anyone who wants to learn and have an easy grade. Wonderful!

Think of Reid from Criminal Minds, crossed with Eppes from Numb3rs. Best math teacher I've ever had. Really wants his students to be successful, gives plenty of time for questions, and never makes you feel dumb for not getting something the first time. Or the seventh.

I took him for several cources. He's excellent. He works with you and if you ever have any issues he makes time to try and help. Also I felt comfortable asking, he never made you feel like you were asking a stupid question. Awesome teacher!

If you take notes and do the homework you will be fine. He is very clear with the problems and will also help you after or before class. He doesn't use scantrons for his test but don't freak. Mr. Wetherington is, by far, the best math teacher I've ever had. He explains things so fluidly and teaches through examples. His class is never boring, especially because he makes every attempt to insert humor (even if it's math related) into the class. I really enjoyed having him for Precalc this semester and plan on taking Calculus with him.

Wetherington is an awesome math teacher. His tests are not multiple choice, but he gives you partial credit if your answer is wrong, he will credit your work up to where you messed up. He is eager to help you and answer questions. Calculus can be very difficult, but he teaches it in a way that is easy to understand. I definitely recommend him!!

He's sweetest guy around! He really does care about your understanding of math. He doesn't use scantrons; all answers are to be worked out, but if you show your work, he will give you some credit. Not often do you see a teacher that honestly cares about everyone understanding the material but Wetherington does and makes it fun. He never makes you feel stupid no matter what you ask. He feels more like a helpful friend than a professor.

Amazing math teacher, actually the best teacher I've ever had in any subject. He makes everything easy to understand, and is very willing to provide extra help if it's needed. He is a very good teacher and quite funny. He make learning fun and takes the time to help. Seems a little bit shy at times when he is teaching but overall I would recommend him and would take his class again

This was my 6th math class, for college. Out of 5 professor I had, this man blew them out of the water. I recommend him to everyone, if you want to succeed in math take him. You will not regret it. I even failed to answer a question on a test, though I had all the formulas set up, he let me finish it a week later and gave me full credit.

This teacher is hands down the best teach I have ever had in any subject. He can be a little awkward at first but he knows exactly what he is talking about and he will make sure you understand everything. 5 tests, the fifth is optional if you want to replace a grade. I am the worst with any math and i managed a B+.

This guy was an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING math teacher! He absolutely loves math, especially the upper level math beyond precalc! I had him for Calculus I, II, III and Differential Equations and he was phenomenal. I would highly recommend him to anybody, he really dumbs the book down and makes it understandable! If you struggle with math like I do, this is the teacher you need to take. He's super awesome with extra help outside of class if you seek it, he really dumbs down math for ppl who struggle, & its difficult to fail his class if you do all the homework, test reviews, and take the optional last test. Took him twice now, I love his teaching method.

Best math teacher ever. The setup is very simple just show up, listen, copy everything down, and do the homework. Everything is out of the book, so no mathlab needed. He will provide a very helpful list of test review problems, most of which are problems that were done in class or for homework, but I did them again anyway and got an A as a result.

Jason Wetherington is absolutely amazing! If you didn't pass his class you either did not ask for his assistance or you didn't put in any effort. I have also taken Inter Algebra with him and I passed with an easy A. He gives you plenty of time to study and to do homework, he is not at all overwhelming. Highly Recommended!

This professor breaks down calculus and not only helps you understand how to solve equations but why each component of the equation is there and where is comes from. He has a deep love for the subject and makes the students love it. If you have a hard time understanding math, he will clear everything up for you. You won't need a formula card.

Jason is an awesome guy, as with math you need a teacher that will help you and not make you feel like an idiot. He is very helpful I took this class online and he responded to emails anytime during the day and late at night. Easy to get ahold of on the phone as well.

Mr. Wetherington was great! you have a lot of h.w. but he lets you do the h.w. unlimited amount of times and the quizzes up to 3 times to get the best grade and that helps tremendously. He answers promptly via email and explains whatever you don't understand. I wish I could take him for all my math classes. you only use mymath lab

He allowed me to re-take a test after receiving a "D" and he was very gracious on allowing wiggle room for small errors made during a test or quiz. Although he does not explain things through email, he is always willing to meet with you and show you at his selected campus. Unlimited tries for Homework, 3 tries for Quizzes, and 1 try for Tests.

I had him from College Algebra to Calc 3/DE, and for new students that are looking to complete their math credits, do not hesitate to take him(his class will fill up fast). He's patient, knowledgeable, and is there for you when you need help. It was a great experience learning from him, and getting to know him over 5 semesters. Good luck, have fun.

For somebody who doesn't exactly enjoy math, Wetherington's classes are bearable and even fun to a certain extent. Great guy and very funny. Ask to play a game of chess with him after class!

Took Intermediate Algebra online and was able to finally get through this class with a "B", since this was my 3rd attempt. Lots of practice on the hw, able to do problems unlimited times until you feel comfortable. The midterm and final are proctored, but you are allowed to bring in one sheet of paper with notes front and back. Make it count!!

The class is very straightforward. 5 Tests, 4 Homework Assignments. Each test has 1 homework assignment to go with it (except the last test which is the comprehensive final) He gives you a review so you know exactly what to study for. If you honestly work hard on this class, you will succeed and get an A. He's the best math teacher here!

There are 5 tests(80% weight) and 4 homeworks-- the homeworks only count for 10% of your grade, and he makes your lowest test grade 10% of your grade. He gives clear reviews online, so there are no surprises when you take the test. Honestly, Wetherington is the best math teacher I have ever had, and he made my experience in this class very smooth!!

Awesome teacher, like any math class, you will need to ACTUALLY LEARN, but if you have a hard time with math like me then this is the teacher to take for sure. He clearly explains everything and does everything he can to help you succeed. A genuinely nice person too. Took online intermediate Algebra and College Algebra with him.

This professor is genuinely concerned about his students and goes above and beyond to make sure the students are set up for success. He is easy going and patient. He knows math isn't for everyone but makes it easy to digest by relating problems to real-life situations. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who lacks natural math skills.

I am really bad at math and I have stayed after almost every class and asked him about homework questions. He explains everything as much as you need him to. Gives out questions from the book that are almost identical to the test so if you study the review and understand those problems you should pass.

I am in his class now online though. He does give you partial credit if you miss a few things, But you have to work for your grade. Math is not my best subject, but keep trying to take better notes. My only problem is the note-taking. Because I am bad at note taking. Just work hard, and you will get a good grade.

I took the class online and he was very wiling to help me on any of the sections of homework I was stuck on. I only saw him during the mid-term and final and he was very kind. I would recommend him to anyone who asked.

The Pre-Calculus class has 4-5 exams and homeworks to match them. The grade you get is primarily determined by the exams, and your lowest exam grade is only worth half as much as the others. Dr. Wetherington is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He explains things in-depth and will help you understand. He gives generous partial credit.

I'm taking online College Algebra with this professor right now. He is very helpful, I only have seen him on my midterm. but he does answers and help through email and post video explaining problems if you ask. There are lots of homework. 4 tests online and 2 in class ( the midterm and final). he does give practice exercises before tests. Awesome!!

I took Prof. Wetherington for Calc 1 and 2 and I loved it. You have to work hard for your grade, but he is super helpful and always aims for his students to succeed.

I am about halfway through College Algebra and hate math but love the teacher. I am really bad at algebra, but he's really helpful. If you don't understand something, just ask and he'll create a video for you. That helped me get a great grade on my last test. He's awesome about preparing for tests. Already signed up for another class with him.

Math is my nemesis but Mr. Wetherington makes it SO much less horrible. He is extremely passionate about math (ask him about his vintage math books!) and very patient with questions, both in-class and after. His class is lowkey & he genuinely just wants everyone to have a good time hanging out and doing math. Also his math jokes are top-tier, 10/10

his college algebra class is very easy to understand, as his videos show examples from the homework. his wants all his students to succeed and tells everyone how to get an A in the class.

If you understand the concept class was not mandatory at least for the online class.

While I didn't pass this class (on my own accord), Professor Wetherington set me up to succeed. Anytime I had a question, he was ready with a response and also made personal videos for better understanding, which he does for all homework problems.

This professor was amazing!! He was very helpful in addressing every question I had. Extremely fair when it comes to grading!

Uses MyMathLab for homework and utilizes honor lock. Go through the lessons and learn what you can. If you can't, you can search up YouTube videos on the subject. MyMathLab assignments also provide feedback so you know the correct steps. Practice tests are exactly like the actual, but shorter and with different numbers. Practice makes perfect.

This was the best math teacher I have ever had. I took him during the pandemic and to ensure you don't miss lectures he posts all of them. he goes through the course the exact same way MyMathLab questions are in (homework and tests). He does use honor lock but I don't think he goes back and watches them. He rounds up grades!

Mr Wetherington definitely cares about us, and he let me retake a test and fix homework pass the due date when I was stuck taking care of my great gramma for a week and missed the assignments! Please take his class if youre struggling with math :)

Great teacher. The best calculus ii teacher you would want. he gives you test review a week before the test which are complete almost identical. just be aware test make up 75% of your grade and homework 25%.

Mr. Wetherington is by far the best mathematics professor that I have ever had! He takes the time to clearly explain things that are complicated. He also lets you work for extra credit (partial credit on answers that were wrong, i.e. test was graded as a 67% and after showing you clearly marked scratch paper, it goes up to perhaps even a 85%).

The class was basically run by Pearson's textbook, with Wetherington as the overseer- which isn't a bad thing for those who prefer the online format like I do. I actually found it more useful to dive straight into the homework and click the "Help me do this" button at the bottom left than to read the textbook- you learn better that way. Great class

I took this through zoom because I wasnt able to get to either campus the classes were being offered at (North or West) and he told us we had to come in person to take two tests and wouldnt work with students to give it online, i was able to take one test at porter but had to drive over an hour to get to north. doesnt work with students but easy

Amazing professor! He does give a lot of homework but ultimately it helps you be successful on your quizzes and tests. He takes the time to go over homework problems and to make sure you understand the information. He is hilarious and engaging in class lectures. I highly recommend him for any math class.

Overall really enjoyed the class and he has videos for each lesson that went over majority of the homework. zoom calls were mostly used more as a office hours rather than lectures. He was really nice and understanding.

Keep up with lectures and notes. You can work ahead on homework assignments. Remember when your tests are and completing practice tests make tests easier. No comments but you can always reach out for more help. Great online resources, extra homework assignment walk throughs.

Mr. Wetherington is an amazing professor! I took him for College Algebra and Math for Liberal Arts. He explains math in a way that is easy to understand. The homework is completed through My Math Lab, and he does examples from the homework in class! He gives a practice test that can be completed through My Math Lab, and it is exactly like the test!

This is one of the best math classes I have ever taken. He explains everything so well and makes sure that he covers everyone's questions. Tests are not stressful and he has flexible homework deadlines. He's super nice and he likes to crack jokes about math that are honestly pretty funny :) 10/10

EASY A! Videos/notes for every chapter. Listen to the videos while attempting the HW because every video he goes over HW questions at the end. He is super quick to respond and will walk you through it if needed. I took his class in 7 weeks, 4 HW a week, 3 practice tests, 2 non-proctored exams online, and the last exam (non-cumulative) is on campus.

Super nice professor, practice quizzes, and homework are very similar to the tests. I also liked how he would record the zoom meetings so if you are unable to join that day you can watch the recording back and see what you missed. Great class!!

Prof is engaged and wants students to succeed. Homework is challenging but helpful prep for tests. Highly recommend using resources like Unstuckstudy and YouTube alongside the class. Overall, a solid math course if you're willing to put in the work.

Currently taking this class but you can tell he really cares about you succeeding, that doesn't mean he'll give you "handouts". However he helps you understand the coursework, great communicator, never have to worry about him not responding to an email.

W teacher, he's like the Bob Ross of Calculus. He is flexible if you cannot take a test on a certain day. He goes over exactly what you need for the homework in the lectures. He records his lectures on zoom and publishes them on Canvas. Holds review days before the tests. Has an optional test at the end if you need the boost. He loves calculus!!!!!

AMAZINGGG!!!!! He really cares about his students and wants his students to succeed. He responds to emails the same day, practice tests are identical and almost the same on his tests. He's very nice and is never rude like other math professors (Spiwak). TAKE HIM YOU WON'T REGRET!!!
