Jason knows his math, and he's great at teaching it. Some teachers make math way too difficult. Jason makes it easy, and he provides extra help if you need it.

He is a great teacher. He is tough, but fair, so don't take this class if you don't like to work. He is willing to work with you. Very good looking too!

Jason is fair, helpful, and cute (for a country boy). Do the homework! If you can do this, the tests will be a breeze. His test questions are either from the easier sections of the homework, or they're like the example problems he does on the board. Advice: Don't be slack. Don't be late. Don't act dumb. Cute, silly, and mouthy won't help either.

Still whining in college? Jason makes ANY math simple. Easy A! I've taken 3 of his classes, even 130. Over half my MAT120 class exempted the final; he must be doing something right. He shows you EXACTLY what you need to know for each test and gives extra credit. Yes, he's strict on attendance. It's not personal. Welcome to the real world, folks.

Jason Wetzel is the BEST statistics teacher I've come across!! I was taking another professor & dropped it... not him!! Not only is he very straight forward and helpful, but looking @ something that fine makes 8am not feel so early!! His tests are fair and so is he... come to class on time, don't use your cell phone & study what he tells ya = A+

Mr. Wetzel is a very good teacher. He is helpful and tries to be fair to everyone but some take advantage. He can't help it if we mess up on his tests. He is pleasant and friendly and I am glad he was and still is my teacher.

Best Teacher in the world. He helps you out a great deal with his notes that are already pre printed, you just have to go to his website and print them out. He also has practice test on there and they are just like the real test that are given ! You will actually learn and he makes it very easy !! Highly recommended !!!!

GREAT TEACHER! I took the Internet/Hybrid class. I'm not going to say it's easy b/c math isn't easy, but if you attempt to do the work, then you don't have a problem. I took same class different teacher made F, I made a B in his class...WOULD strongly recommend.

His lectures are easy to follow, i guess you could say for Math, he puts things into basic vocabulary. In order to get through most college classes, you need to be self-motivated to study and show up to class. Same applies for this class-do the work, show up ON TIME, and you shouldn't have any issues passing this course. Overall GREAT instructor!

i really liked him a lot. he was clear with what he was saying and overall it was easy for me to understand. i didn't like that the homework was online but it did help me to pass with an A. he's not bad to look at either ;)

he is good at teaching math

Very good teacher. If you are willing to do the work you will have a good grade.

Wetzel is a great teacher. I have already signed up for him next semester. Explains things with a sense of humor and does not take math too seriously. I like him as a teacher and I suck at math.

Mr. Wetzel is easy to get along with. If you respect him, he'll respect you. You definitely have to study for this class, but he is willing to help. Keep your cell phones off, out of sight, attend class, study, and you'll be fine!

I loved having Mr. Wetzel! He's hard but very direct - you know exactly what is expected of you, and that's great! I agree with another comment, if you respect him and his rules, you will get along great! He's very helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him for those who are truly there to learn.

Wetzel is a great teacher he always emails me back within a day. Just he can see whatever you do online so especially if you are taking hybrid you have to the work.. If you do not take the class seriously he will not take you seriously.

I am taking JWetzel again for 102 I say he is the best regardless of what people say he works with you and wants you to take college serious !!!

He is a no nonsense teacher. Is happy to help and clearly states everything. I took a hybrid class so we never used a book. did hw and took quizzes online

Wetzel is EXTREMELY nice, but strict. He expects you to be on time and present to each class. I had a hybrid class, so the one time a week that we met he went over the printed notes thoroughly and was very helpful when asked questions. Excellent teacher.

I think Mr. Wetzel is a very organized professor. When teaching in class he goes really fast, but if you stop him to ask a question he is more than happy to answer it. You are always welcome to go see him for extra help in his office if you do not understand something gone over in class. If I had to take math again I want him as my teacher.

Mr. Wetzel is not a professor that is keen to cater to people who refuse to put in the effort to do well. If you work hard in his class, he will make sure you have the tools necessary to succeed. People say he gets rude when you ask questions, but that is only after the same question has been answered several times. Time constraints and all. GREAT!

He was an overall good teacher. The biggest thing he did was go over examples. I did this in a summer class, so it was very rapidly paced. I would recommend him again, because of his willingness to help you with office hours etc. The tests were medium as far as difficulty level.

Avoid him if you are not savvy with teaching yourself. His in-class notes go over exactly what will be on his tests, but the online work has lots of extra non-applicable information you must learn to save your online grade. He doesnt take kindly to people with questions, AT ALL. BUT, he is very fair in regards to his exams and grading.

Very organized! Pay attention in class and do homework and you will have a positive outcome. He is very fair with his testing, you just have to study.

Mr. Wetzel is a professor for the self-motivated. Any who want to a professor who encourages critical thinking on your own should enroll in any of his classes. He makes very clear his expectations from day one. Not surprised by negative feedback here,but I'm sure most negative comments come from students not willing to put in work. Great teacher!

Mr. Wetzel doesn't waste time on information that isn't necessary to learn math. He is very to the point. There were some concepts I don't remember seeing in his videos, but he responds to emails quickly is very receptive to your needs. I wish he taught higher math online. I also love that all his required work is always open to work ahead.

I did not have much interaction with Wetzel personally; however, he was always quick to respond to my e-mails when I had an issue. His class was more of a re-fresher for me. The MyMathLabs program was a great tool for taking the course. I loved Wetzel's personal website he created for the class that provided additional help.

You could not show up for class if you had completed all necessary work that was going to be worked on in that next class. Overall good teach, definitely explains, but he is strict.

You do not need the textbook, but you do need the math lab code (like $80, so not bad). He has homework (3 of them w/ 15-30 q's) posted that is due every two weeks. Every few weeks he also has a quiz (3 tries), a practice test (3 tries), and a test (1 try on campus) that is due. The Prac T has similar questions, so if you can do it you'll be gucci.

Mr. Wetzel is Amazing! I don't get why people give this guy such poor reviews. He teaches well, assigns relative homework, and his quizzes are super helpful for the test. He is always ready to answer questions after class or in his office. Math 102 is hard, you have to work to pass! No need for textbook, just mml code. Plus he's not bad to look at.

If taking the class online you won't hear much from Wetzel, but his video lectures are great, the course work is not too hard and you can work ahead. Beware of the final, there are not study materials and it is very hard. Keep a list of formulas you need to know!

I can not understand why people are giving him such a hard time, if you do the work and do exactly what he say youll be fine. Getting anything lower than a 85 in his class is rediculous, he's a good professor. Just STUDY and do the practice problems he gives you. I ended up with a 94 in his class!

This guy is freaking awesome. If you want a real teacher who doesn't waste time this is your guy. Do what he says, practice and study his unit reviews and there is no way you can fail. To everyone saying he doesn't like questions I'm not sure where you're getting that. He's always available to help and goes above and beyond! LOVE THIS GUY!!

Professor Wetzel is a good teacher. As long as you show up to class and pay attention and go over the notes he gives you, you'll be okay. He is a really good teacher, and explains the subject very well. He does call people out though for being on their phones or sleeping in class. When he is teaching, pay attention and you should pass.

I've taken two classes with him now, and he's great if you hold up your end- he has no time for childishness or excuses. He expects students to be adults and is very clear about expectations. His notes and lectures are well-organized, and he explains the material well. Come to class, pay attention, do the work expected of you, and you'll do fine.

He has high expectations, but as long as you give effort and put in the work you will pass. He'll be gracious in grading as long as you do your part.

He is a really good teacher, you just have to work for the grade. The class is hard, but he is very specific in his notes and the online homework isn't hard. His tests are hard , but it's usually pretty clear on what is going to be on the test. He gives study guides and goes over them in class. He counts attendance the minute the class starts.

I tool MAT102 online with Mr. Wetzel and I wish all of my professors were as clear and precise as he is. 10 of 10 would recommend.

I won't lie, I had to work hard for even just a B. I'm already pretty bad at math, but I chose Mr. Wetzel for Stats based on a recommendation. He's like most college professors, work and show him you care and are ready to work hard, and you'll do fine, even if you're not a natural with math. DON'T SKIP CLASS, you'll regret it.

I am honestly surprised that his rating is so low on here. Mr Wetzel is a great math teacher. He is very chill and also teaches very well. I am personally good at math but he also explains everything well for people who are struggling. Showing up to class is very important so you'll know the material but other than that this class is an easy A/B!

He will quiz you to make sure you're paying attention. Do not bring your cell phone, headphones, or earbuds into his class & expect to use them. He doesn't have time to deal with your interruptions. He's very no-nonsense. This is not an easy class so be prepared to work for your grade. Also, don't ask for extensions or your final grade will show it

Don't come into class late, make sure you're paying attention in class or he will call you out, don't have your phone out, and do all the assignments. Sometimes he will call on a random person to tell him something (for me it was something we learned like 3 units ago) so just make sure you are able to remember things you learned a long time ago.

This guy must be a loser with no life! No happy person goes out of their way to accuse people and make people life harder. If hes so great has a teacher than why isnt he teaching at a university instead of a technical college. I hate people like this who act big but their really small

I read the reviews for this class and was nervous but after the first week, the class was easy enough. Do the homework and quizzes enough time to memorize them, learn the calculator to help you even more, and take notes! Learning the functions was helpful with the tests. The Max questions on the test were 20, most fairly easy if you understand math

Jason Wetzel is great for mature students who take personal responsibility for learning material, but might be a bad fit for students seeking high levels of interaction. His videos are fast and don't waste time. Grades are posted reliably and quickly; he spends time doing his job instead of apologizing.

The man isn't difficult to get along with. Biggest things are do your homework and attend class. Each unit has a set of notes. Make sure you use those, he teaches with them. Take notes. Make sure you know how to use your calculator. Expect pop quizzes a week or two into each unit. He goes over test and quiz answers afterwards. Good teacher overall.

I love Prof. Wetzel! He teaches the material clearly and at a nice pace. Definitely talk to him after class if you need help with anything, he's happy to help! He likes pop quizzes usually a class or two after learning the material, so be prepared, they aren't worth much tho if you don't do well. He was super flexible and willing to work with me.

Personally I love Professor Wetzel, as long as you pay attention in class and don't interrupt him (just don't talk while he's talking, please raise your hand) you're going to do great. He is willing to answer any questions after class for those who need to stay
