Mr. Wholstadter was such a great teacher. He will really help you out if you're not quite understanding things, he's very understanding and patient, and his required books are actually really interesting.

He is very helpful and very nice. He will explain something untill he is blue in the face to make sure everyone is on the same page. The work load isn't too bad and he picks out interesting books for the class to read. He is a very good teacher, I would pick him again as a teacher.

I had him a few semesters ago, and I liked him a lot. He seems to care about his students, and you can tell he really loves english. I also enjoyed reading Nickel and Dimed. Very good, considering it was maditory reading! PS: He's verrry good looking. I think he deserves an extra chilli pepper!

Wohlstadter is a great teacher, WAY better than the evil demon i had last semester. Hes a real cool guy, i got a B on the class without Busting my butt.VERY helpful.He gives 4 essays, all very easy to do, lots of group work so that was helpful, homework was read, n goes though it in class. Just come to class, its a breeze Overall Exellent teacher.

He is a great Prof. He repeats himself which is helpful so that you are clear on what he is asking you to do. Attend class, take notes, and ask questions. Start the essays as soon as the assignment is given. Part of his grading philosophy is based on your efforts - easy A.

I look forward to his class. You do have to put full effort into his assignments. He assigns four essays & two in class essays. He makes you write other stuff too but it turns out only the essays make up your grade. We only used the book for the first half of the semester. My advice is to save yourself the money and photo copy in library if time.

Most of your grade is based on the essays you write. He grades pretty hard so it ended up being a challenging class. Overall though it was a pretty solid class, if anything it seemed worthy of being a college Enlish class, which makes sense as to why it was challenging.

Well organized with an enthusiasm for the subject matter that is infectious. Attendance, reading, & writing are required, but nothing unreasonable. The syllabus was so full that unfortunately we did not have a great deal of time for class discussion, making things feel rushed. He is kind, articulate, knowledgeable, & professional.

I took professor Wohlstadter for English 50 and English Lit. 137 and he is the best. He eat sleeps and lives english. He has his is Dr. a PHD of english. He has mad skills that aren't no joke. LOVE HIM!!!!

I hated English until I took Jason's class. He was very interested in the students and willing to help all the time. He was crystal clear, and if I could take his class over and over again. I would. He's a hero in my eyes.

Jason is by far my favorite teacher. He explained things clearly, and he was super helpful! Truthfully, I didn't think I was smart enough to move into English 101, but because of Jason, I feel that I'm good enough, and I'm glad. If you take this teacher, you'll definitely be inspired like I was, and you'll learn so much in his class.

He was a great professor. 4 essay, a midterm, and the final are basically your grade. There are around 10 quizes on vocabulary if that. There are also 16 journals throughtout the semester, but they're easy. YOU NEED TO COME TO CLASS! He takes role everyday ad that counts towards your participation points. I would reccommend Wohlstadter to everyone!

Overall easy class. There are 4 out of class essays, and 2 inclass essays. The textbooks are needed to complete all assignments. There are a few vocab quizzes, but are very easy and he makes everything easy to learn. He does take role everyday. He is very understanding and always there to help. EXCELLENT PROFESSOR!!!!

I would highly recommend taking him for any of your english classes. He was always in a good mood and worked hard until everyone was on the same page. If any of his students need help he is there to help them 100% of the time. He is an awesome teacher! I hope I get into his class this semester!

Jason is a very excellent professor. he's very clear on assignments and everything is pretty basic. Basically we have 4 essays and 2 in class essay he does give out some grammer quizes but they are extremely easy. my only complaint is that he's a very strict grader when it comes with the essays. overall a really good professor!

I loved having him as a professor. There was a lot of reading and a lot of analysis, but it was a great class overall. He is a very understanding professor and he has so much fun teaching the class and makes it fun for the students.

The subject material is on war which I was not too interested in before this class but after taking it I feel well educated on war. I enjoyed the class discussions and the more you participate in them the clearer the class becomes. Reading mostly consists of short essays. Flexible on what to write in your essays. Very enjoyable class.

You can tell he is really passionate about his job. He has a very balanced lesson plan and I'm only bored in his class when there are guest speakers. Overall a very simple class if you already know how to write essays (MLA, Grammar, ect.) I would definivly recommended this class.

Mr. Wohlstadter is an amazing professor! I really enjoyed his class and as long as you do the work (which isn't hard) then you'll pass. If you're struggling you can ask for help in class, via email, or during office hours and he is extremely helpful! Definitely recommend him for 101

Professor Wohlstadter is a great professor. He is very clear on assignments and his grading is fair. He is good at emailing students and always welcomes you to his office hours if you have questions. Make sure you're on time and participate!

I wish all of my teachers were like Jason. He communicates well, and is there if you have any questions. He grades average to hard, but over the course of the semester I went from getting a D on my first essay to getting an A in the class because of his feedback. I worked hard for it, but that's what felt so great. Take the course, don't hesitate!

He is by far the best English teacher I've taken. He's the ideal teacher everyone wants. He makes sure to make all things clear to his students & makes everyone feel included. He also engages everyone & makes the class fun. He does, however, take his job seriously, so he grades tough (not too tough). Just participate & you'll do just fine.

Yeah, everyone has read or at least heard of Frankenstein, but he makes reading it and writing about the book a new experience. Also, he's pretty funny and cute in a dorky way. Jason is a very funny teacher. His classes are always fun to be in, and though he lectures through almost the entire class, he keeps them interesting and interactive. He only assigned two essays for this course, and there were two more in class essays on the midterm and final. Quizzes every other week or so, over-all a fun experience.

Wohlstadter is by far the best teacher I've ever taken. He cares about his students grades and how well they are understanding the material. You definitely need to be in class, but it is not a waste of your time. I learned a lot in his class and I would take another class with him again.

Get ready to read a lot, but it's pretty interesting. He loves Wuthering Heights and no one else does and it's hilarious. He's pretty conscious of social issues and it's really cool to see that in a teacher. He get's so excited about the material he's teaching it's adorable. I took Professor Wohlstadter a few semesters ago and I am glad I did. The assigned readings were interesting and easy to follow. His instructions on the assignments were clear and if we had any questions, he was more than willing to answer and help. He shows that he cares about the success of his students. Took his class Mondays-Thursdays. He likes all of his students to participate which is not asking too much. Essays were pretty clear and easy. He turned me into a good essay writer honestly. He's pretty straight forward and blunt. I wish he was teaching 101 next semester. Its better not to miss because you will learn new material everyday

Coolest dude ever. He's super into his lectures and I would definitely take his 101 class. So helpful and caring. Goes off topic sometimes and does this thing with his hands that makes him hilarious. My favorite professor. It's an easy A but I did have some struggles on my essays which he gives great feedback on. Really wants to see you succeed.

Mr. W is an awesome professor. He's very enthusiastic about his job. He's cool and funny and easy to talk to. He cares about making sure his students understand what they are learning. I appreciated all of his advice on my essays. Too bad he isn't teaching ENG 101 next semester, if he was, I would've gladly taken his class again.

Really cares about his students, supper funny, and focused. Went on tangents sometimes but was always able to bring it back to the main point. Read in class and outside of class a lot but the books he assigned were really interesting and worth reading. Six essays in all, but they all had good and interesting prompts, and more than willing to help.

He is a very nice teacher, and I really worked very hard in this class, I started writing my essays a week in advance and I still got C in it. He is very difficult to grade, He expected a lot from the students, but he is also very approachable to help you. I learned a lot in his class. You will have homework and participation is very important.

Professor Wohlstadter was great! He is very nice and explains EVERYTHING very thoroughly. You will not be confused about what is expected of you. He helps you out as much as he can and is also very patient. I wish he were instructing ENG 101

Work and grading is fairly easy and clear. Specifies what is expected in your essay. He will make down any incorrect punctuations especially commas and run ons. Books that are being read in class is easy and straight forward content. He seems like he tries too hard to be funny and at times very awkward, but overall a great class!

He is an amazing instructor. He truly wants all of his students to be successful in his class and provides so much support and information to pass his class. There is a lot of busy work but it is very easy as long as you are on track. I would recommend him to any mjc student. I grew in his class and gained so much confidence in English.

Professor Wohlstadter is a really good teacher. You pretty much have homework every day of the class, but it's doable and super easy. The only thing that would make you worry is the Mees which if your essay is perfect you will have it. You just need to follow directions and stay in contact which him. It is an easy class but makes you work.

Mr. Wohlstadter is a great Professor. His class is contract grading and based on 4 quizzes, homework and 6 essays as well as extra credit which he offers a lot. He is patient with students and offers lots of support. I honestly think anyone can pass his class because he does everything he can to help his students learn and pass.

Most of the assignments in the class I took were discussion boards, and there are 4 essays to write, but you learn a lot about argumentative writing in his online English 103 class. this was a good class and the professor was great but I hated the grading in this class. 80 percent of the grading is based on 4 papers. 20 percent is homework and quizzes. I got an A in this class but barely and he grades papers hard so the to get an A in this class you need to be able to write well. Overall great class other than that.

I feel like my writing improved quite a bit throughout the semester because of the structure of his class and the well-developed lessons he'd provide. The essays were very straight-forward, and it felt pretty stress-free when writing them. No complaints, take him.

Wow, just wow! This is the type of lectures I wish we could replicate for all classes. Instructions are clearly given, teamwork is often a required, and the learning environment is always an excellent, comfortable zone. I absolutely recommend you to take this course. Reading and writing is obviously required but don't be discouraged, it's not bad.
