May seem a bit mean at times, but that her style. Often speaks so fast it goes in one ear and out the other. Good professor that knows her stuff, but be prepared for culture barriers.
Has passion for teaching and is helpful to students. Keeps her subject knowledge upto date and has a professional outlook. I would like to recommend this professor to other students.
she is very helpful and friendly. No matrer you are her students or not, if you have questions and willingness to learn, she will help you out regardless who you are. She is a great teacher.
her homework is easy, and most of her quizes and tests are too.
AN EXCELLENT PROFESSOR WHO KNOWS HER STUFF AND CARES FOR HER STUDENTS. PAYS ATTENTION TO THOSE THAT DO NOT PERFORM WELL AND GIVES THEM EXTRA REVIEWS DURING OFFICE HOURS....SHE IS A VERY CARING PERSON--TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HER OFFICE HOURS IT IS WORTH IT
Worst instructor EVER!!! Unclear, unhelpful, belittles people for asking questions, doesn't provide helpful insights, nothing. Just flashes stuff on the overhead, and reads the chapter outlines to us (too quickly) and calls that a "lecture."
Exams are easy and she clearly cares that her students learn the material; however, her lectures are useless (she just shows an outline of the book and all examples are from the book). Be confident with your self-study skills OR must attend her OH.
Rarely shows up to class on time. When she does show up, the 'lectures' are useless and she'll usually dismiss the class early. Very easy -- but if you really want to learn the material, you may want to try a different instructor.
amusing
She's kind of intimidating.. gives off this vibe that you don't want to ask for help or she'll make you feel stupid. She can be funny, at times..
She cant pronounce things correctly which gets very confusing in chemistry. She shows up late to most of the classes INCLUDING THE FINAL!
This teach is halarious. Chem is no walk in the park class, but she makes it intresting. You do have to study to understand but she is allways willing to help us out. She crakes jokes on some of the students who aren't not paying attention, and picks on people based on the color of there shirt.
Terrible, terrible professor. Avoid at all costs. Dr. Tse is much better for CHEM 101.
She is one of the MOST difficult professors to follow. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. She is helpful, but all over the map when it comes to lectures and things she says. She says one thing and turns around and changes it the next day or a week later. WACK! She can't figure out grades properly eithor. Avoid her!
i admit any sci class is hard this was no different, but jassi made it bearable. yes half the time i didn't understand but if you really are interested the class goes by pretty fast. jassi so totally cares about passing her students too, she rocks for that, as far as science classes go, with her you're gaurenteed to pass if you take it seriously.
She moved very quickly and talked very fast, but if you are attentive, she covers everything well. She does not repeat things- it is easy to get behind if you do not come to class or do not pay attention. If you go to her office hours, she will make ecery effort to help you out including giving extra study sessions. Great teacher.
Took this class to review HS chem material. Was somewhat helpful. She can be confusing at times so read the book. I observed that she stated some erronenous facts (maybe that's why her exams are a little off?). When class asks question, she confuses them and can't seem to state it in another way. Her homework is optional and for extra credit.
she's not that bad. if i didnt take chem in high school id be ****ed
Everything that people are saying is true. Just make sure to follow along in the book and DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!
never take this class or the teacher!!!
She wants her students to do well and bends to make it happen, not very fair to students in my opinion. DO ALL OF THE READING, REGARDLESS OF WHAT SHE SAYS. Sometimes it is difficult to understand her lectures and she's not the most responsive in class. I do really like her and respect her, but I don't know that teaching is the best thing for her.
Kaur is a good teacher for lecture, but not so great for lab. She covers material well and is sometimes funny, but has a strange sense of humor. She really cares about students learning and doing well and if you go to class and do homework, take her advice.... its a breeze. If you're still having trouble she can be very helpful in office hours, but less so IN class b/c frankly she doesn't want to waste class time.
This class and teacher was a joke. I would definitely recommend that you stay away from this teacher. She is definitely not brilliant, prolific, kind, or witty (she has a dry sense of humour) My advice would be to take another professor; one who is actually passionate about teaching because frankly Jassi, teaching isn't your field.
I took her class in Fall 04 when it was first offered. I was very interested in the class cuz I thought it would involve "real food" type of studies but it was just like chemistry. Although I got a B for the class and A for the lab, I didn't like te class. She is a nice person but I guess her level or the way she teaches makes it hard to understand
Bad teacher. Horrible. DONT TAKE AT ALL. IF IN CLASS, DROP AND TAKE LATER ON.
I took Kaur my first semester in college. It was absolutely challenging but can be done. Make sure you study the textbook as well as your notes and don't be afraid to see her during office hours....shes very helpful. Just remember to STUDY! Cant stress that enough. I hr lecture=about 2 to 3 hrs study at home. I did this and passed with an A.
AVOID this professor, seriously. She is VERY disorganized, scattered and seemingly uninterested in teaching. Her lectures are scattered and follow no outline. I managed an A in the class (you've GOT to read the book!) but her style didn't work for most of her students (any?). She is habitually late to class. Study the old exams that are online - she takes almost all of her exam questions from there. And for take-home tests/quizzes, just google the question and you'll find it online, word for word, on other exams from other universities. Take Tse or go to City College instead.
goes WAY too fast, luckily it's an easy class with easy tests so im doing ok, but her lectures are ridiculous
This professor cannot teach to save her life. Her lectures are unclear and hurried. She is rude to students. There wasn’t a textbook assigned for the class only a reader she put together, but it provided no help for test preparation. One of the worst professors I have ever experienced.
This professor, although a nice person to me, was really rude to other students if she doesn't like you. She tends to be late to her classes all the time. She isn't that great at teaching either.
Completely unprofessional and uninterested in teaching. Came late, acted irritated to even be there, gave one fair test that was then graded ludicrously and then one completely unfair test that had virtually nothing to do with the lectures or labs. I've never had a teacher who cared less about her students or about teaching. Seriously shameful.
Always comes late. Strong accent and talks way too fast, it's hard to take notes! Assumes you know all the information, so doesn't bother to explain in dept. Always got C's in my tests. Make sure you know how to study for her class, because I didn't. Passed though...
AWFUL. teaches horribly - speaks way too fast, extremely unorganized, always late, very unclear, seems uncaring, the list goes on. basically, shes just the worst professor EVER. if you have no choice but to take her, be prepared to STUDY 24/7 with the textbook which is a much better teacher than she is.
She's horrible. If you ask her a yes or no question about chemistry, she always answers with a "SURE." She assumes that her students know EVERYTHING about chem. She talks too fast and she does have a strong accent. She came to class late A LOT and she didn't seem all that nice. She's not all that great and I definitely would not recommend her.
Absolute WORST teacher I have ever encountered. I wouldn't wish taking her class on my worst enemy. A college education shouldn't mean that students should have to put up with teachers like her.
she is pretty nice, but in order to do good in her class, you need to really go over your notes from the lecture and sometimes even from the book. her quizzes are pretty hard if you don`t know your concepts.
Absolutely the worst professor I have had at SFSU! A total slacker, tests have little relation to material covered with lots of typos and some baffling grammar. She basically does all it takes to reduce her workload. I pity the people who have to take her class. Stay away!
I absolutely hated this class. She had very dry humor (which is nice) but the way she teaches is HORRIBLE. The only people that pass in her class are those with previous knowledge of Chem. She does not explain things clearly and she goes through materials TOO fast. She isn't too open to questions & comments, she think she's always right!
dont take her!! very bad at speaking.. and really hard to understand!!! she doesnt do what she says. like she said she would post up notes and grades but does it last minute... i dont recomend her!!
She really tries to come off as a hard ass the first couple of lectures but it is worth the effort to stick with it. Do her reviews because sometime the test ends up being practically identical. On test she let us do test corrections for some points back, and she ended up curving the overall grade of the class by 2%
Jassi is awesome, once you get to know her. She comes off hard, and is never on time for class, but she loves what she does and she is really smart. If you ask for help, she is more than willing to help you. Lectures are pretty fast, but going to her office hours are what help the most. plus, she sometimes gives you extra points for seeing her!
food chem was very interesting with her, i learned a lot. she's very helpful but her lectures are very fast paced. her accent makes it difficult to understand what she is saying, but she is more than willing to help you. sometimes she's scattered and unorganized, but the homework is easy.
class is very fast paced..cant understand what she says...she seems strict but she actually is nice and homework is easy...she does not teach the class like its an introduction...if you need to take chemistry, find another teacher
shes okay...if ur willing to really hustle and do everything you can...shes hella hard 4 no damn reason...the class aint that serious but she makes it out 2 be liike a graduate study course...after awhile she might grow on u but she defintely makes u work 4 ur grade.
She likes to intimidate her students. I was scared at first to go to her office hours, but once I did, I learned that she is a very nice woman who really loves Chemistry. Pay attention in class or you will get lost very quickly! The final is optional.
She was awesome. Yes, she is very fast paced and sometimes very scattered and unorganized, but she's extremely helpful and WANTS you to do well. She's very encouraging and rather motherly if you give her the chance to be. Show up to class and be friendly and she'll become like a good friend. I loved her class.
at first she is kind of intimidating. the way she calls on people is scary...she picks a color like green..and whoever is wearing green has to answer her questions!but she is really chill if you give her a chance..me and a friend were crazy worried about our final grade and just called her up and asked for her advice haha!just give her a chance! =)
Once you get to know her she is really nice. She may seem intimidating but just give her some time. She does call out on people and put them on the spot but it's not that big of a deal. She really cares about her students. Exams were easy.

Very hard to understand her accent and subject. She knows her subject well but is a bad teacher. She is a nice person overall but her class is very hard to understand, her tests were somewhat difficult and she gives a pop quiz once a week for attendance. Make sure to do all of the assignments that she gives out, it is very useful in the end.
I thought she was a good teacher for CHEM101. You better be prepared to work hard because she doesn't put up with slackers. However, if you are conscientious you will get along well with her and do ok in the class. The people who complain about her are the ones who are doing bad in the class.
She is super mean...and she prefers her favorite smart ass students and don't take her class if you want to pass chemistry
If you do not work hard do not blame the professor, she is really good, organized, caring and take good care of all the students. The teacher is so good that you are lucky if you have her, she goes beyond the call of her duty to do things. students that fail are the ones who talk bad about her because it is their fault not teachers, she is so good
when she teaches she jumps all over the place and seems unorganized. hard to understand accent and is very hard to pay attention.
everyone who said jassi is a bad teacher is seriously mistaken. this woman is a genius! she knows her stuff and will help you if you ask for it. she volunteers for a consumer opinion panel for the FDA, too. she's got a weird sense of humor and her class was fun, but a lot of work. just set time to do the homework, ask questions, and you'll be fine.
Ok. If it was not for david, jassi would have screwed us. And believe me, I studied my butt off. She is just simply confusing and not helpful. She is good at just stroking your ego, to avoid your grade concern. It is ridiculous. The labs are fun but she made them miserable.
Please get yourself straight. You do not even know the class you are taking, and how unprofessional you can be naming the professors on the site. she knows her stuff so well that she is the one that was helping other TAs who walked into the class while she was teaching as they did not know the experiments. Guy doing the lecture was so confusing.
this woman is terrible. she speaks too quickly, she is rude, ALWAYS LATE & mocks you when you have questions. she's really intelligent & her study guides are okay, but I taught myself everything. That & who leaves for an entire month during a semester, and gives out a midterm a week after she gets back & complains when her students do poorly?
excellent professor, had to deal a lot this semester she was too sick but is still so nice in every way, very helpful and caring person
She's really funny. Just do your hw and study for the tests and you'll get an A.
She definitely knows her stuff. However, she goes through material extremely fast and is always late. If you ask her a question that she thinks you should know she tends to be rude. She gives study guides that are very helpful for the tests. Just make sure you take time to read the book for yourself and do the homework. It will help a lot.
the worst teacher on the planet. She mocks her students for asking questions. She is not friendly, talks too fast, and does not care about her students at all. She knows a lot but is an awful educator. She gives a lot of extra credit because everyone fails the tests.
Extremely disorganized. Labs were a joke. Often said "I have no idea what is going here" and was clearly unprepared each week. Blamed the other sections and the lab lecturer for everything. Comments on lab reports were often illegible and/or nonsensical. Needlessly complicated what would have been relatively simple. Avoid!
Has her favorites. Hates the kids who sit in the back. Always tardy. Her accent is hard to understand when her talking is suddenly going from 0 to 60. She tries not to make students feel stupid but fails at that. Dreaded coming to class. Hated the tests. Might as well teach chemistry to yourself. I got a good grade studying everything myself.
not good
Jassi clearly wants students to succeed. She also clearly knows what's going on. Her style can be frantic, she often rushes, and she doesn't listen well. To get info, wait until things are quiet (ie the end), repeat your questions until she knows what you're really asking, and wait for her to finish talking to see if she answered your question.
Very disorganized. Jumps from one thing to another. I learned more from high school chem than this class
Where do I begin. This woman is nice....if you are one of her favorites, but if you are not...look out!!! No one answers any questions, and she is unethical, for which I am currently consulting the dean about. Dont take this course!! She should be fired. Just to clarify, this has nothing to do with a grading issue, and i have close to a 4.0
I can honestly say she is the worst professor I have ever had. She is unfair in her grading and tries to trick people. She is extremely harsh in her manners and I spent the entirety of this class feeling like an idiot. She is never in office hours when she tells you she will be. Awful teacher. Avoid!
STAY CLEAR! This professor is insane! She can't teach at all. She is unfair in her grading and has massive favortism. Most of the time she's glaring at the class and making her students feel inferior when asking questions. Hard on tests, marking you down for literally every little mistake possible. DO NOT TAKE HER!
grest teacher and excellent individual
Do you know how in high school you sometimes had teachers who you were sure you were smarter than? Well that is the feeling I had all semester with this prof. I honestly don't think she knows what she was talking about. Incredibly horrible teacher.
She's extremely condescending and unhelpful. When you ask her a question she just smiles and asks you back the same exact question. Her notes don't help and most of the time are actually WRONG. When taking tests she actually stalks around glaring at us and actually stands over you WHILE you take your tests, making it impossible to think. AVOID!
Probably one of the WORST teachers at SFSU! She's always in such a bad mood and basically shows us that she doesn't want to be there. Doesn't answer questions when asked and it's hard to understand what she's saying most of the time. Pretty condescending and has said more than once that she won't go over something because we "should know it." AVOID
This professor is really giving and handles her students really well. She marks her exams very carefully and always mentions breifly why are you loosing points if any. She clearly indicates the things you should read under reading schedule on her syllabus and make announcements in her class at all times if there is a change. TAKE HER
Very caring and knowledgeable professor. One of the best I have seen in this university. Always willing to help. I'll look forward to taking more classes with Dr. Kaur.
A brilliant and helpful professor. Would recommend strongly.
This professor is one of the best that I have taken so far. She expects to think a lot. The notes are very helpful and are published ahead of time. Take her as she tells you what she expects openly and clearly. I read previous comments and was scared but i think students were not good themselves and blamed her. she is so cool, TAKE HER
was in her office today very approachable, guided me on my answers for practice test, told clearly what she is looking for. Great person and very helpful..I really think I should visit her more as she helps you learn
clear in instruction, great professor
Very helpful and great teacher took class with her last semester---helped a lot with concepts
I honestly feel that all of the positive comments are from Dr. Lazy herself. I really can't believe anyone would feel this way about her. Take her if you don't want to do any work and get a B -- she doesn't give out As and she ALWAYS tries to end class early.
She is an excellent professor. This class had some reading and if you did that read her notes that she posts her power point lectures on line. There were two exams and 8 reports. She gives study sheets, upon which the exams are based. In addition, she gave clear instructions on how to write scientific reports. hope she teaches org chem 2.
Nice teacher, but that's about it. I honestly got a C- in this class by failing the midterm and doing all of the lab reports, and I KNOW I bombed the final. Lecture was kind of useless; labs were kind of fun, kind of.
Dr. Kaur is not the best "teacher," but it is clear that she knows what she's talking about. Her objectives are clear, even though it can be a challenge to understand her in lecture. She can be condescending so if your feelings are easily hurt, be prepared. Overall, she is a smart woman... just do the reading and you will do just fine.
WOW...this woman is the rudest teacher I have ever had in my entire life...but, whatever.
A challenging class, but I am sure every student can pass if they put effort!Although Chemistry is tough subject, never give up!
She's a great professor. She really cares about her students and tries to help as much as she can. The subject is challenging, which is why I think some people do badly. You just need to put in the study time. It's not her fault, she's very clear and knowledgeable. It was an interesting and it would be to your benefit to take it with her if you can.
she is very helpful, and makes the test pretty easy, which is a definite plus.
Summer. Thought it was going to be hard, but turned out to be super easy. She tried to scare us on the 1st day by giving us a piratical, suggested people who scored under 50% to leave. You should have stayed. Very, very helpful. Friendly. Semi-accent. Don't be afraid. Ask for help, esp if you don't like Chem. Make it easier on yourself.
Good proffessor
She is a hard teacher but only because she expects us to know what we learned and make use of it... what i didn't like was she is not approachable but once you face your fears and talk to her she is really nice... midterm and final are the SAME as her study guide if she gives one out some Q are word by word
An excellent teacher who can teach without any text and gives real world example, took her class in summer, not on campus now--hope she is doing ok
really good prof, miss her
Great Professor and a person as well. Helpful, caring and reaching out for her students. Gave suggestion on how to get better. Likes to take care of all her students
Class isn't mandatory. Slides are provided for each class. Quizzes and study guides are helpful for her exams. Sometimes there are pop quizzes.
Very intimidating at first- I feared if I missed one session I would fail. But as time goes on you will catch on to her attitude. USE STUDY GUIDES POSTED ONLNE.Memorize them, she uses them word-for-word often on tests. Class attendance is not critical but she does often give pop quizzes especially in the beginning of semester.
This is my fourth time taking Chemistry, dropped the first three times. Finally stuck it out with her, and it was awesome. She really looks out for the student's best interests, and without her I would have never been able to understand Chemistry.
Her study guides on ilearn are the test itself. Just memorize the answers on your study guide and you WILL get an A. She sounds intimidating but she's not,and I think that she's really rude. Easy A for nursing majors, but you will not learn anything so you're screwed in the future for TEAS test and what not.
She's a really good teacher. She cares for her students. She does seem intimidating, but she is not. Didn't take a lot of notes in class; the notes are provided on ilearn. Her tests are easy/fair. Her study guides are exactly like her tests. If you do your job studying them than you will get an A. She does give pop quizzes, but it's for attendence
great teacher with knowledge of chemistry. goes a long way to care for her students. really caring indeed.
Seriously the positive comments on this site must have been written by her!!! She's rude and is not a teacher trying to help students. She seems really bitter and unhappy with her life. She's mean in class. Her accent is heavy. Her manners like picking on students make her a bad teacher. Go to one of her classes & see for yourself. She's EVIL!!!
Love this teacher she may sounds mean but she's not. She is strict but she has a nice sense of humor. Some people do not get her jokes. She does have pop quizes and wants all her students to pass. Do not take her for an easy A. You have to work for it. Study the book and study guides. Great professor
Nice professor, she does challenge students to learn and think for themselves. This class is easy if you study the book, notes, and study guide. Also visit her office hours she is awesome. She does have alot of pop quizes for attendance points. Overall she is a great professor.
Overall, Jassi is not a bad professor. I actually learned a lot from her. Sure she may seem scary and rude but she is actually very nice. Don't worry you won't die in her class, all you have to do is study the notes and STUDY GUIDES!!! And you will do just fine.
LOVED her class! It is so easy bcuz she goes at a pace where she makes sure you understand. Attend every class talk to her get to know her cuz shes actually very nice&sarcastic/funny Do your practice probs after each lecture to really understand the stuff I failed HS chem but w/her teaching I got an A &got a great understanding of chem :)RECOMMEND!
She wants you to pass & helps you out so much TAKE HER FOR LAB! Labs are boring its like lab from junior high or high school so its not fun but just go to each lab STUDY FOR QUIZZES & get an A :) don't be scared of her go up & talk to her she's very helpful
Great teacher and caring person. You can get a good grade if you work hard and try to keep up with the class and learn what she recommends.
She`s very knowledgeable, energetic, and cares a lot about students, i thought this class would be very hard and boring, but trust me guys you will love working with her. She`s one of the best instructors i have met.
Either you love her or hate her. She's very passionate about Chem which makes it a little more entertaining. She'll give out a quiz on the first day but don't fret it. Do all the hw, all the answers are in the chapters, study the study guides, they're exactly the same as her tests (except for the 2nd one), don't be intimidated.
I would not have gotten the grade I got with out showing up everyday. She notices you. She knows what she is talking about and loves it. To future students SHOW UP EVERYDAY! And she likes to play games with your head when it comes to grades, that's no fun. Other than that it's a love/hate relationship, mostly love though.
She can be perceived as intimidating at first, but through the semester you'll begin to see how kind she can be. She's very strict, but nice. I highly recommend that you do the study guides that she posts online and study them well, for they are very similar to her exams. I also recommend that you until class since she likes doing pop quizzes.
a great professor who knows her subject, students and cares for us all....highly recommend her.
Having trouble with the exams.Things we are told to skip keep popping up in exams. Also stuff from future chapters.Very unapproachable, somewhat aggressive and irritable. Never accepts her mistakes.Skipping lectures and office hours, leaving early arriving late.Shows the powerpoint during lecture and leaves. Could write an essay about my grievances.
One of the most frustrating classes. Where all these positive reviews are coming from I don't know. The answer keys for study guides and exams are consistently incorrect, and when confronted with this she gets defensive and brushes you off. Exams are graded inaccurately and lecture is a read-off of confusing powerpoints with little explanation.
Probably the worst professor I've had. Recommended if you can attend class everyday and teach yourself. She will constantly give wrong answers, is unapproachable, constantly cancels class the night before, as well as give hard tests. Not for most students.
I bet that you can never find anyone worst than her in this entire universe. I can't believe those positive comments about her(it must be written by her pets) I can't even find one positive thing to say about her. never listens to you, doesn't help you in her office hours, she would give you a wrong answer if you ask her anything.
I can honestly say she is the worst professor I have ever had. Why is she still there teaching? I can't find anything good about her to say. she has a horrible personality and attitude. she hates herself and everyone. stay away from her if you can
She wants you to do well in the class but doesn't really show it. She does put the wrong answers on the study guide answers on purpose. She is intimidating and unapproachable. She makes you feel stupid if you ask a question. She goes through the power points fast and assumes you understand it. She doesn't explain the slides well enough .
I took this class before and got an F. took it with jassi and got a B+. She is a great teacher and really does care about her students, she just does not like slackers and if you put in the effort she WILL notice and help you out. Also, TAKE HER FINAL QUIZ INSTEAD OF THE TEST, IT IS RIGGED SO YOU DO WELL! Seriously an awesome, smart teacher
Jassi made me really enjoy Organic Chem. She's tough but once she notices you, she really tries to help you. I really like Jassi and she only wants her students to succeed. She reads the power points off the screen and doesn't really elaborate enough. She just assumes it's easy stuff but it's really not. Her study guides are similar to the tests!!!
a really bad teacher. always leaving students confused and never get back to them. It's super hard to get in touch with her. I've tried emailing her so many times through out the semester and she never replies to me. Came to her office and she wasnt there. Final is worth ALOT you need to pass the final to pass the class it's 180pt of the 500 total
great teacher with lots of patience and repeats herself. find her in the office even though there is no office for her due to science bldg closure---she uses labs, library even a table outside of library to help her students. wow
Worst teacher ever. Didn't learn anything from lecture. You must spend time learning on your on. Lecture and test didn't connect. Only good thing is that she allows make-up test, final quiz instead of accumaltive final in order to save your grade. You need it based on her style of teaching. Don't not take class if you are a fulltime student w/ job.
Jassi may seem intimidating and rude but she's really not. She moves very quickly throughout the course, and doesn't spend a lot of time explaining things in class. Very easy to get an A, just study the study guides. Very similar to exams. However, you learn VERY little; bad for nursing majors (TEAS test). Have to take initiative to learn yourself.
I already hated chemistry in high school, taking it this semester reminded me why I hated chemistry. She is not clear in explanation, she assumes we know everything. You will forever get a sarcastic answer if you ask her in class. Only good thing is she lets your retake one test, but other than that prepare to be confused the entire semester.
She is very funny. Super nice. She really wants her students to do well but she is very very very fast paced which makes it hard to follow along. She assumes you already know everything she is talking about. Fairly easy grader. Hard to understand her accent.
She speaks really fast and is sometimes hard to understand. She assumes her students know what she's teaching. Her grading is easy but keep the papers. Basically read over manual and workshop yourself and pay attention in lecture and you will understand. I didn't get a grade from her but I calculated it myself.
follow the class schedule and read assigned chapters before going to lecture. she speaks very quickly and doesn't really answer questions, so you'll have to teach yourself. class is easy, just make sure you really study with study groups. her grading policies are very confusing, just do all the work, go to class and you'll be fine
Great teacher flexible. Caring. People taking her biochemistry. ..90percent students from her previous class. Amazing.
GREAT TEACHER AND CARING INDIVIDUAL
Best chem teacher so far
Jassi is one of the best teachers I have ever had! She really does want the best for her students, especially if she sees you in class regularly and you ask questions. She is always there to help and is very funny. Take her lab with the lecture, that way she gets to know you much better! Take the class, you won't regret it! I love Jassi so much!
At first her accent was hard to understand but you get use to it. I really loved her ,If you attend class and her lab everyday shell notice you. Unlike other teachers she really cares about you. Go to her office hours she is always willing to help you just need to ask!!
Jassi will come off intimidating at first, but you will grow to love her. She is confusing at times. She is willing to help you if you have questions. Some of her study guides will help you on the tests. She cares for her students and her future. I learned to love her in the end of the semester! Make sure you know the material well!
Jassi was awesome. She had many inspirational speeches during her lectures in which she helped connect course material to our daily lives. She always gave out study guides before each exam which helped tremendously!!! Mostly everything on the study guide will be on the test. There's no point in studying from the book.
One of the best teachers on campus award winning
Cares a lot for her students. Told us that if we needed help in future courses, she's more than happy to on her own time. More interested that we are learning and setting us up for success rather than memorizing just for the exam. Crucial to go to class every day. Constantly reviewed past material during class. Made it easier to study for exams.
