the most painful hour i have ever sat through, it was a night class and half of the class dropped out after the first half of the first class, he did not smile once, spoke in a very low voice, gave a ridiculous quiz first class and then put students on the spot to answer them. no laptop or any electronic devices allowed, clearly hates his job.AVOID

Two classes w Prf. Sadr my last semester before graduating and I wish ALL my Psyc classes had been with him! Learned SO much. Amazing guy. SUPER smart, interesting, funny, approachable. (HOT!!) Obviously cares a lot and does everything he can for you to learn and do well. Super interesting lectures and really useful course. Really opened my eyes.

I didn't survive an entire semester in his class so I may not be in a position to judge. However, from what I did experience, his classroom environment felt hostile and tense at all times. He has ridiculous techniques and no sense of humor. He wishes to be referred to as "Professor"- totally impersonal, unfriendly and even demeaning. Don't do it!

RUN! I am a fourth year student and it was the worst prof I have had. I get As and Bs and I got a C in this class. He is not helpful when you go for help, he gives ridiculous exams that have more than one possible answer, and he is rude to students, and makes an example of those who are in his mind "bad students".

One of the worst professors I've ever had! His classroom is incredibly hostile and he has stupid little tests at the beginning of every class that are just a waste of time. I was really excited to take PSYC but from my experience, I found him to be rude, inconsiderate, and didn't care about his students. I found it weird that he didn't include office hours or a email on his course outline. When I sent him a email (after having to find it) it took him a whole week to reply. Awful, I regret not taking the day class.

Ignore comments about Sadr not loving his job. Sadr is a serious professor, with a slightly dark sense of humor that slips through the serious face he puts on. His tests are reasonable, but you MUST read the text very clearly and actually want to learn in order to do well. Check his history at Uni of MA in the USA, their comments are more accurate.

Really really great guy. Super interesting & important class and he did an amazing job of explaining things & answering Qs. You still have to do *your* part and read & study before & after each lecture. Quizzes every day help u get into that routine & self-assess. (There are no "pop" quizzes.) Not a lot of reading but u *actually* have to do them.

Wonderful brilliant guy and totally the highlight of the whole course. I have literally photocopied his two chapters to give my friends and family back home over Christmas. Looking forward to more classes with him as the single instructor. Best thing about 1000 was finding out about him because I don't think his courses would have been on my radar.

I skipped his second lecture because his first one was so terrible, he talked about everything except his chapter. 75 minutes about how he hated cell phones and you shouldn't sit next to friends. I agree phones and friends are a distraction but he didn't need to drag on about it the entire time. Everyone I talked to hated him as much as i did.

Absolutely terrible. He spent his entire 75 minute lecture talking about how nobody knows how to learn properly, cell phones and laptops are the devil, and if you didn't do the reading before class you're a literal piece of trash. Feels more like a punishment than a lecture.

His lectures BLEW MY MIND. And his chapters are EXCELLENT. By FAR the best professor, speaker, writer, teacher I've had after three years, in any department, Psych, Neuroscience, whatever. WAY smart, clear, organized, and very funny, interesting, accessible, intuitive and helpful in/out of class. BAD/FAKE students should find somebody else.

On the personal side, he's a very genuine person, accessible, funny, honest, and seriously cares about students success. On the professional side, he's clearly an off-the-charts genius but also very organized, totally fair and straightforward, clear, and obviously very experienced and hardworking. That's a great combination and very rare to find.

Very unapproachable. Drags on about how technology is the devil and talks very monotone and quietly so it's incredibly hard to hear/understand in a room of 200+, especially if you have not perfect hearing. Explains everything so slow and repetitively you can really tell he believes he is smarter and above what he is teaching. Do not recommend..

Easily the best prof I've had at this uni for any class in any departmnt. If I could have learned from him starting first year or if the techniques and skills and knowledge he teaches could be shared with kids in high school or earlier, school would just work so much better and life in general would be completely different. Thank you, sir.

Fantastic prof. Students looking for easy marks rate him poorly, however his teaching style should be adopted across any educational platform. Hes quirky and extremely intelligent, and doesnt necessarily care about the right answer as long as you understand the material, which requires reading and understanding the material he assigns. Seems to enjoy abusing power dynamic of professor and student, utilizes the course as a means to control others to the most neurotic extreme.
