Mr. Duenas class is very easy to pass ,u just have to do ur HW and participate in class.He doesnt give alot of work though.He is funny and very interesting when he talks to us in class also.

He's a good professor but when it comes to certain papers he grades kind hard. he can be a little annoying at certain times. we had to do a research paper as the final grade which as very stressful but got through and did well in the end. He is very helpful and he does work with you on things

Professor Duenas is the best.I for Enc0015 and Enc0025. I had problem with my essays, but Professor Duenas helped me with them until I got them right. The point is if come to him for help, he will not refuse you. He will work with until you got it right. 1101 is easy for me now thx him. I highly recommend Professor Duenas for your English classes.

I currently take Professor Duenas for ENC1101, and I must say he is an INCREDIBLE teacher. The class is extremely easy, but you will still learn how to improve your writing abilities significantly. Does not give many test or quizzes, and loves to give extra credit. He gives you many chances. I would take him for EVERY class if I could. EASY A!

Professor Dueñas is great. Deadlines for his online class are fair. All the assignments are easy as well as the quizzes and tests. Midterm is proctored and its an easy essay. No Final. Four essays are expected and that includes the final research paper. Do the work and youll pass. Only negative comment is that he takes forever to grade work.

Incredible professor!! His classes are really dynamic, so he tries to use games and different learning styles to make it easier for students to understand the topics discussed in class.I learned a lot with with him. Now I feel more comfortable and secure when I have to write something for other classes. I would highly recommed this professor :)

Professor Duenas is a very cool teacher who no one should have difficulty passing. The homeworks were Easy and understandable, you can always find him in his office if you need help. You get 2 chances to miss class and don't be late for his class a lot !

He saved my life, if you show him that you want to pass and care he'll help you any day anytime, i was taking the class online and had a hard time keeping up he helped me a lot. Stay on top of your due dates, start your essays ahead of time and think about your research paper topic and brainstorm. EASY A class!

Very funny professor, tends to go off topic but overall pretty cool guy. The textbook and workbook were not needed even though he said it was mandatory. I recommend him for enc 1101 on the summer term, quick and easy A.

Professor Duenas is such a caring person, I promise you he is just like a teenager and he talks a lot but it is interesting! This was one of the easiest class I have taken literally 3 essays and 2 discussion topics and you're done! We would do some online assignments as well but super easy! just do the work and you will pass!

He was a very good professor. He gets off topic and says some pretty funny/crazy/weird stories and jokes. Although, he did take forever to grade essays which I did not like. If you do all the assignments you should earn an A.

Despite having for a 50 minute class it was a fun experience. He is a funny professor and teaches the subject in a clear manner. Professor Duenas is one of the best English professors at MDC North. I first had him as my English Professor in Summer 2018. And I Decided To Take Him Again in Fall 2018 for 1102. He Would Most Likely Help You to Succeed and Help You Become A Great Writer. I Would STRONGLY recommend him as a professor ENC1101 & 1102. He is very inspirational.

His classes go by fast since hes always popping jokes and talking about life, not a serious and boring teacher like the rest of my professors.

Prof. Duenas is very nice and knowledgeable. He is great at teaching, but he goes on irrelevant rants far to offend often leaving little time of actual class. One big thing is prepare to have nothing graded for a while unless you go to his office and have him grade something on the spot. If you are at least a decent student I highly recommend!

Hes a very good professor. You dont have to show up to class, only if you want extra credit. His class is very very easy. Theres a couple of essays. If you have a concern he will email you back quickly and will help you. Hes very nice.

At first, I was bit afraid because English is not my best subject but he is an extremely chill professor and the homework is not hard. Just a bunch of quizzes(2 tries),discussion boards and about 3 essays. He does not take off points for late work. He gives you plenty of resources to do well in essays. Just do all the work and you will pass.

Professor Duenas was a great professor. Don't be afraid to ask for help, if anything, he encourages you to do as best you can. If you are determined to succeed then he will help. As far as essays go, he knows what he is talking about, and if you need him to elaborate, ask! He does take a while to grade but he has many students so give him time.

I was warned about this professor but he was pretty good imo. He assigned not too much work. He was a tough grader, but he taught me a lot about APA. he was sweet and down to earth. a little tough but hes a great professor. Easy class in my opinion. and you learn too.

His a good professor, his class in not mandatory for face to face. There a total of 3 papers including your final research paper. If you do your second essay the final paper will be easy! He gives good feedback, but he does tend to repeat himself a lot in class and more around a lot. His helpful and the work is not overwhelming.

Great professor offers great feedback. I took his class online and it was a mini term. The only advice I could give is do not leave your final research paper for the last week i made that mistake and I was stressing. I can not reccomend his class enough I submitted many assignments late and he still graded them after I turned it in.

Prof. Duenas has been without a doubt the best English teacher I have ever met, in addition to being good at his job, he is an extraordinary person, he knows how to uniquely link class topics with daily life, creating a better understanding for his students.

He is a really good english teacher really nice and just wants for you to succeed. Besides him getting a bit carried away on rants during class, his assignments are very clear he gives plenty of resources to you. I recommend to read the modules on canvas, do not leave the final research paper for last minute, and read his feedbacks.

Loved the way this professor had all the homework's and instructions organized. I chose to have him as my professor for English 1101 & 1102. Made the class super easy and was not a stressful class. He made assignments enjoyable! 100% would recommend him.

Not done with the class yet, but he's a good guy. Easy and fun class, but he takes forever to grade + isn't organized. Another thing to know is that all assignments are weighted the same? But if you miss one your grade drops heavy. He lets you make them up though w/ full credit. Only reason I wouldn't take him again is bc I should've done the CLEP.

I had to come on here and acknowledge Professor Duenas. There are 3 essays and a midterm. He's heavy-handed on assignments but honestly, I don't mind that because it increases your chances of getting a higher grade. He's a passionate speaker, you can tell he knows his stuff and does a fantastic job keeping us engaged. Looking forward to enc1102!:)

All of the assignments are available online and are quite simple, and Professor Duneas is kind, humorous, and smart. The midterm is really simple, its just the basic information you should already know in an essay. Additionally, he discusses a lot of his personal life, which I believe makes him even more entertaining.

He is an amazing professor, and I love his teaching style. He is very hilarious, and I would one thousand percent recommend that you take his class. Assignments are straightforward, and is a fair grader. I love the fact that he gives you more than enough time to complete an assignment, which is very considerate and helpful, unlike most professors.

Overall not a difficult class. Gives a fair amount of homework but it's not a difficult to complete. He gives 2 attempts after you submit an assignment so once he critiques it you can make adjustments to get a better grade. He also gives extra credit to boost your grade. There is 1 midterm exam but no final exam. The exam wasn't too difficult.

Professor Duenas consistently reviews assignments before they're due, setting high expectations for student success. He values student participation and a genuine desire to learn. Beyond academics, his lectures offer valuable life lessons. He's always willing to provide both academic and personal support. I feel fortunate to have been his student.

I feel like ive learned so much. provides the best tips to make writing 10x better, gives templates to follow when writing essays, packbacks, research papers, etc. would 100% take him again. no textbook required, attendance is mandatory and gives extra 5% by the end of semester for full attendance,

Took him for both ENC 1 and 2, he does take a little to grade assignments but he does allow you to resubmit for a better grade. Attendance was 10% of final grade, I got an 89.4 because my attendance was spotty but overall very easy class. All of the assignments were online, and there weren't too many; the assignments we did have were tied together.

Very easy class if you do all your work. There wasn't a midterm or final; there were three overall essays, 10 quizzes, and a few discussion posts. Attendance is important to him, so he gives extra credit if you have perfect attendance. The only downside is that he goes off topic a bit and can make you late for your next class.

A lot of reading but he is a nice professor and gives good feedback on your work! The only thing that got me was the honerlock final which you have to write an essay...it was very stressful.

He's an excellent professor. He explains concepts very clearly and provides a lot of useful information. He also shares sample essays and videos in case you need extra clarification outside of lectures. Most of the work in this class is done on Packback. He offers extra credit, so take advantage of it—it can really help your grade.
