Took him for College Alg. He is one Funny mofo. He is patient and goes out of his way to explain everything and anything. DO NOT be absent, not because he is a jerk about but because Algebra can be hard if you miss the lectures. I absolutely LOVED this class!! i took Mr. Garcia for college algebra and found math super easy! he helps you alot, so that you wont fail! four test (including the final) one research paper (super easy! 2 pgs) and some quizzes! HES THE BEST! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM! i still cant believe i got an A!

He's very patient and explains everything very well. He also jokes around a lot and the class is never boring. If you fail, then you got to be really stupid. This is college; don't expect him not to drop you if you fail to show up or don't put an effort. Easy class.

I dont like math, I'm not good at it and I still have an A average so far, I thought about dropping the class because it was just too much for me at the beginning but he encourages you and helps you,we had 2 take home exams so far which helped me a lot,I think I'll pass the class with and A! he is extremely nice and helpful, he gives study guides.

Garcia is really good at breaking down all his lectures. He is funny and makes the lectures fun as well. I highly recommend him... BUT if you are doing the HAWKES crap. KEEP UP WITH IT!!!!!!!!!! As for me I didn't :( But with all the math he taught me I was able to get a PASS grade by taking the Accuplacer. Overall he is a wonderful professor

I had not taken a math course in over 10 years! Mr. Garcia is great! He makes sure you understand and is willing to go out of his way to make sure everyone is following along. As long as you attend class everyday and do all homework you should get an A for his class. Since he's teaching MATH 1414 this semester, I made sure to sign up for his class.

Took Algebra in a mini-mester. It's alot of material to cover in such short time. Mr. Garcia is and excellent teacher and helps out as much as possible. Text book was not required but My Math Lab was and it's expensive. Sometimes he would teach things differently than instructed on Mymathlab and that was confusing for me. Overall, I do recommend.

He was a really great teacher. If you are lost or don't fully get it, he WILL help you and keep repeating it until you understand it. He wants you to really learn the material. Make sure to do all the labs, they are pretty easy. Very chill and nice teacher.

Im taking his Math 200 class and he is very helpful. My weakest subject is math and he explains everything until you understand it. His practice quizzes are a great help. If you are the type of student that is always late or leaves early or even misses class a lot, be prepared to fail. The tools are there, you just have to take'em & use the them.

I took him for math 80 and 85. He's a very good instructor and teaches in a way that I understood, but he withdrew me from his math 85 class at the ending of the semester..I wish he would have understood my situation. I liked his class, but I found another professor just as good as him, so I won't be taking him again for any math course later.

He's a great teacher, very lenient, if you have any questions he's always very happy to help and explains everything thoroughly! This is honestly a very easy class and that's cause math is so not my subject! I managed to pass with a B but that's only because I slacked off a little. So i'm sure if you pay attention and do the homework you'll pass!

I took this class as a Hybrid so it was kind of difficult. We met one day a week for about 3 hours and went over notes the entire time. DO THE WORK AND YOU WILL PASS! A lot of other students didn't take the time to do their work and wondered why they were failing. ALL of the HW is done on MyMathLab. Final Exam was EASY.

Mr. Garcia is the best professor! If you struggle with math take him!! I learned a lot from him, he even made the subject I struggle with easy for me to learn. He is a great teacher. if you fail, it's because you slacked. He is flexible. He will drop your 3 lowest quiz grades, and does everything he can to help you pass and improve yourself.

Great teacher he is the only Math teacher I recommend. There's quizzes every day but they're like 3-6 problems just to make sure you're studying.

Mr. Garcia is a good teacher he makes the class fun. He does everything on my math lab. The quizes are usually in paper but he lets you know a day before what he will be quizing you on. Usually after every 2 lessons covered. He is understanding and cares about his students. He doesn't mind going over something u didn't understand.

I took Mr. Garcia's developmental math, and within the first half of the semester took my math TSI, and passed. Really specific with step by step, and encouraging.

He cares about his students, if you need help with a certain assignment dont be afraid to ask questions. He tells some stories that are funny, hes a fun and funny man hell make you laugh. His lectures are good he uses my math lab for assignments. Copy all the questions from the homework trust me youll be glad you did!

Took him for a second attempt at Math 0200 and managed to pick up the material better than my previous class. The class is 3 hours and 45 minutes long but it does fly by, and he uses most of time to lecture, with the remaining hour usually reserved for MyMathLab HW. The final is cumulative, so be sure to study. Overall, great professor and class.

Took him for Math 100 During the summer. Since it was a summer class we had to learn 4 months worth of material within 4 weeks but even with so much memory crunch he was very thorough with his teaching and was always willing to explain and help when you couldn't understand the problems. Amazing teacher and i would take him again.

Took this class online Spring 2019. This is not a FULL online class. Mid-term and final exam are taken in campus. Easy A! Not a heavy class and pace is slow.

I love the way he lectures. I took him for both Math 100 and Math 200, super easy teacher if you're willing to do the work assigned. He gives pop quizzes daily but it's just to test make sure you're actually learning and understanding the material. MyMathLab is the only thing he requires. Lectures are fun. Took him for Summer 1&2, totally recommend

I took Mr. Garcia for math 100 & the hybrid algebra class. This is my first year back in college & I was completely clueless going into math100. Mr. Garcia is patient, kind & will try his best to make sure you understand the work, & he tutors. I was so close to dropping midterm of algebra but mr. Garcia told me not to give up, & Im glad I didnt!

Honestly just a great teacher. Always willing to listen and offer assistance if you are struggling with what you're doing. Laidback and hilarious. All you really have to do is show that you're willing to learn and give it your all. He really appreciates that and it will go a long way with him

You have to be focused and pay attention to his lectures if not you will not pass. He gives quizzes every time you meet for class. If you are absent you will miss a lot of information.

I really enjoyed his class, lectures were never boring because he would say a few jokes here and there. I took him for Summer II so the course was very fast paced, but he was very understanding. He replies quick on pronto, and is always willing to help during his office hours. I recommend you take this course with him.

Precal 2412 is not listed since it was his first time teaching it. Professor Garcia will work with you if you are busy for whatever reason & allows for requizes. I had a ~55 in the middle of the semester and took it up to a B thanks to his cooperation. Lots of Homework but the exams are easy if you can complete them. Gives very useful exam reviews.

He is such a nice and understanding professor, but you have to make sure you are taking the class seriously and pay attention during class. Math is not by any means my best subject so I really appreciated him explaining everything in a simple manner. He was always quick to answer pronto messages and was willing to work with every student.

Online Summer Class. Prerecorded lectures via youtube. Gives great notes. Stay on top of assignments! DO THE REVIEWS! Before attempting quizzes or exams. The program he uses has great resources as well. Extra videos and step by step instructions. He can be difficult to get a hold of. Quite a bit of homework.

Professor Garcia is a great teacher who makes the material engaging. The lectures are helpful, and he's always willing to provide extra assistance. Doing the reviews before exams is a must. I also found unstuckstudy really useful for test prep alongside the course resources.
