He tested on everything he taught and the only grades that count are the tests. Simple and easy.

Professor Domnitch was extremely helpful in helping me succeed in math. His classes are enjoyable and lectures are never boring. I will promote Professor Domnitch's class to anyone who is required to take this class. Thanks to Prof. Domnitch (and some hard work)I recieved an A in math.

what you put in is what you get out, i thought he explained everything very well. only 4 tests throughout the whole sem. and before the test we would recieve the actual format just a change of numbers- its up to you how hard u practice

I recommend this professor if you take the class in person. The on-line version is more difficult. He lets you go home early and his test are just like the review sheets. Easy "A" class if you pay attention.

I took Professor Domnitch for Mat 0020 and thought he did a wonderful job of teaching the material, so I took him again for MAC 1033 and had no problems with the material, I would suggest this teacher to anyone who needs to take college algebra (I am taking him again this semester for MAC 1105).

Great prof!! Funny anecdotes. Occasionally he goes off on a tangent; but, overall he's a great lecturer. He always stops and asks if we have any questions. Seems concerned about his students.

BEST MATH TEACHER EVER!!! He seems really intimidating at first. Don't get on his bad side!! If you follow his rules, he is the most encouraging teacher ever. Don't assume that he will not allow you to make up a test; even though it says that on his syllabus. He's really easy to talk with and has a dry sense of humor. I Highly recommend him!!!

I took him for College Algebra and I have to admint I was a bit intimidated after reading some of these posts. His teaching style is somewhat intimidating. He always answered a question with a question. Overall, he was really the best math instructor I ever had. His lectures were crystal clear. Be prepared for class or there will be consequences!

My first professor prof graziose taught this class in a most difficult manner,his jokes didn't help at all and most students were somewhat lost.i had gotten a 50 on my first test. Then graziose broke his leg and Domnitch took over. his Test are an exact copy of the HW and i recieved to 100%'s on the last two tests. thumbs up.

Math is by far my best subject and the class I took was a joke for me. He is a nice guy and if you study will be easy. Only 4 homeworks and 5 tests all year. All tests and homeworks online. I made a 100 so I thought it was really easy.

Great teacher! He makes sure you understand everything he teaches by teaching it in the easiest format possible. He's kind of a **** if you're obviously dumb though, but if you have common sense and you can match his wit he'll like you. Sometimes he doesn't even show up for class but he's alway in his office for extra help. He's not for everyone, but I personally loved him.

OMG...I took college algebra with this prof in the Spring of 2010. By far, he is the best math professor I have ever had. I am not sure how he did it, but he was able to make all the complex stuff seem easy. I sometimes felt stupid after asking a question, only because each time I did, Mr. Domnitch proved to me that I was able to answer it myself.

He is a little funny, he always go off topic for a little bit but goes right back on, he's very entertaining.... his work are easy but all the homework and test were online an i hated that cause i would forget

Book for this class is useless, he does not refer to the book once. You WILL need a tutor for this class because he's obsessed with himself and "student dudiligence" and will not answer Qs on BBrd. I failed the class because I didn't complete one test at 6 PM sharp, and failure to turn in any test results in automatic failure of the entire class.

Best teacher ever. I really feared this course prior to taking it. In addition to taking this online course with this professor, I attended a live presentation he put on; it was fantastic and helped me to see statistics in a new light. Whenever I asked a question, he responded with a question, this helped me understand better. I highly recommend!

Took online. A lot of students complained about not being able to contact professor, but for me it really didn't matter. Course was well structured, and I got an A easily.

He is, by far, the best teacher I ever had. I don't mean only the best math teacher, I mean the best teacher ever! His notes are very clear. If you do the HW, you should have no problem passing the course. I can't imagine why others are complainin; he doesn't even teach some of the classes they are complaining about...lol. Great teacher. He responded to all my emails within 24 hours. Hr was extremely helpful. He does stick to his syllabus on everything, so be sure to read it carefully! His lectures are funny; he brings the subject home. I would take him again if there's a class I need that he's teaching. I highly recommend him!

Mr. D is the greatest! I hated and feared math before taking his class. I can't say I love math now; I do have a whole new perspective on it though. I would recommend taking a course with Mr. D!

As far as I am concerned, all other teachers/professors should model their teaching style after Mr. D. I, of course, don't know how much time he takes to prepare his lessons. It seems, to me, he must spend night and day wondering how he can reach his students. I think he's the best!! If you need to take math, take it with him!

I took a class with Mr. Dominitch about 3 years ago. Back then, I wouldn't have given him a great rating. I just finished another term with him; what a change!! I can't believe it was the same teacher. Where was this guy 3 years earlier? Anyway, if he continues to teach this way, I highly recommend him. He cares about his students!!

Mr. Domnitch always showed up on time, he taught the information well, and he was occasionally entertaining!! I was rarely bored; he certainly kept my attemtion throughout the whole class (on most days)! If you hate math as much as I do (or did), take statistics with Mr. D!! Mr. D is very clear with his instructions and how the course is conducted. The "homework" assignment questions are a good reflection of his online lecture notes and his tests. His "how-to" video lectures on spreadsheets are the best and helped me immensely!! Overall a great professor!!!

Absolutely the best professor I have ever had. His explanations were clear. He didn't simply use the problems out of the textbook. he reviewed material before each test. He did what a professor should do!! Excellent!!

He really seems to care about his students. He will not accept any excuses for slackers (people who try to hand in late assignments etc.). If you do what you are supposed to do, you will probably pass his course. I highly recommend him.

Although I hate this express, Mr. D "keeps it real." For the statistics class he brings in newspaper and magazine articles to demonstrate how numerically illiterate we all were prior to taking the class (and how numerically illiterate the authors of the articles were). I learned so much from him. I highly recommend him.

Took this class online and it was so much fun. Personally not a fan of any math course. Prof.D is a great stats instructor and he made the course breeze by. Summer C course is best, it may be a rush but its worth it. There are 5 tests, there is no final 5th test is final test. Post 12 discussion questions or tips for each of the 5 units. Take him!

Course was well structured. His notes and videos were great. He responded within hours to all emails I sent to him. If you're good at working independently, this is the class for you!!

If you can't work independently- don't take. I hate math but I like this teacher. He sets the test schedule and leaves you alone. I haven't heard from him all semester except once. I had a question and he answered it in less than 24 hours. Grade is based on disc posts and 5 tests. Take the practice tests and post discussions and you will pass.

This guy is super nice and funny. Definitely makes math interesting/fun. Your grade is only based on the 5 tests that are online.. online classes aren't bad at all. As long as you do the homework/pre-test (all online) you should be fine! The tests are about 2 hrs long but they're easy.. Best math teacher!

Great teacher. Does not require you to show up, but if you do he actually teaches. Very clear when he teaches and always explains things to you if your having trouble. Gives no homework, and your grade is based on 5 easy MyMathLab exams which he goes over and even has a review day. Excellent teacher, recommend to anyone taking MAC1105!

Eh. I hate math. He was very helpful and accommodating though. I'm sure if I put more time into it, I could have gotten an A but yeah it's kind of a weird subject, Finite Math.

Mr. D made this course as tolerable as possible!! I took college algebra (with another instructor) immediately after this course and I got an A; He must have done something right. Although he provides plenty of resources online, his lectures are very clear and straightforward. I am now registered in his Stats class.

This guy is funny and he tries to make the course as interesting as possible. He gave us all the tools to pass the course. Show up to class and you should do fine. TAKE THE ONLINE PRACTICE TESTS!! I would recommend him to others and I would take another class with him.

I also had Domnitch for Intermediate Algebra, and would take him for every math class if I could. He takes the time to make sure everyone understands a concept before moving on. All test are taken on-line, which is a plus. He also provides a practice test and will review it in class. He makes lectures funny as well.

Will drop the lowest test grade. Did not grade attendence. Will definitely be cooperative with students he sees making the effort. I made the mistake of thinking I could take my online tests until 12 when I really had until 6 and he let it slide because I attended, took notes, and participated. You could do a lot worse

Wow, after reading some of the previous comments I needed to check whether or not I selected the correct professor's profile. This guy is the BEST instructor that I have EVER had!! I took him for two classes. One was online, statistics, and one was live, a survey of calculus. In both classes he responded to all questions asked.

I'm with the last person that posted. I took online statistics with Mr. Domnitch and he was always on the ball. He once even responded to one of my emails within 30 minutes--that was at 3:00 AM!! Now that's dedication!! He provides plenty of his own resources as well as the e-text. With all of these things, it is imposs to Fail--if you do you work.

He is pretty funny. He tells stories that reflect current events and turns them into statistics problems. He always expects students to do work on their own; so, if you are unable to work independently, he is not for you. He focuses more on the application of what we learn rather than just crunching numbers. I learned so much in his class!

If you have to take stats, take it with him! He's very entertaining and he knows his stuff!

Math is not my best subject. Mr. Dominitch made this class interesting to me. His comedy, however, needs work. I highly recommend you take your math course with him.

He is funny and quick witted. His lectures are awesome; he includes current events/research to all his lectures. I wish I had taken his class earlier in my schooling. he opened up my eyes to many things. We used spreadsheets for most of the number crunching; this became invaluable when I started working.

Pretty straight forward as long as you read the syllabus and follow instructions. If you're not clear on something, you can email him or post it in the discussion part and a student will answer since posting questions or answers is a grade. Reviews are just like tests just different numbers and you can take review multiple times.

Mr. Dominitch is totally awesome. He used real life situations to make the class more relevant. I would recommend him to anyone who needs this class.

I was never any good at math but Professor Domnitch is great, don't let his syllabus fool you. He really doesn't require that you go to class but if you struggle like I did going to class makes all the difference. I would not recommend taking the online version. Lectures are good he makes jokes and keeps us focused. Overall great class, great guy!

I took this class online, you're supposed to use excel and watch his videos but I used a graphing calculator and the tutors in the SLC. The last 2 tests are kinda hard, the first 3 were learn-last-minute level of easiness, at least for me. If you turn a test in late immediately meet with him, there might still be hope for your grade if you do.

This instructor is the best math professor I have had. He sometimes goes off on a tangent, but he brings it right back to the lesson. During one of his "rants" he brought up the term "actuary." I had no idea what that was and he explained it. I am now a senior actuarial science student in GA -- with several job prospects! I highly recommend him!

I just completed a statistics class. Although he always kept us to the end of class, his classes went by very quickly. A lot of information was packed in each lecture. He entertains questions before he moves on to the next topic. I thought this class would be beyond my comprehension; but, his teaching style is impeccable. I enjoyed the course!

Took this class online. Must purchase mystatlab and do the homework on there. Homework can be extremely time consuming and frustrating as you basically have to teach yourself the material for this class. If you don't have a problem learning on your own then this class is for you. Review tests are identical to real tests except for change in numbers

I suck at math. At least that's what I thought before taking Mr. D's class. I was so scared. He opened my eyes to how math is used in everything we do! He's great, caring, and funny!

A great teacher. He sticks to his syllabus deadlines and he's a very tough grader. His lectures are great though! He is very thorough.

Basically, do what he tells you to do and you will pass. follow his syllabus and you will get an A or B. Now, don't get it wrong, you need to put in the work also get a ti 84 calculator and youtube. you'll be ok

He's super sarcastic and at first you don't understand his humor and he gets upset about it but after time you start to realize he's actually funny. What he teaches in class isn't exactly what will be on the homework but at least the practice tests are very similar to the actual test. No textbook needed. Must have laptop to bring to class.

This class was easy and I am terrible at math. Only your test scores count towards your grade and he gives you unlimited attempts on the homework, practice test, and the actual test! Be aware that homework and discussions are still mandatory. The practice tests are almost identical to the actual test, so all you really have to do is study that.

This professor is great. The class is very simple and there is no grey area when it comes to grading. He gives you 5 different sections. Each section has homework, a practice test, a discussion post, and the actual test. The only thing you are graded on is the test. BUT you want to do all the other assignments or else you will fail. Easy A.

He's very straight forward and fair. Absolutley everything you need to know is IN the syllabus. Follow the syllabus and you will do great! Only con I have is not being able to see your grade throughout the semester. But it keeps you motivated!

How to pass: Don't ask him anything. Leave him alone. Utilize the discussion boards. Do everything on time. Take the practice tests over until you get it. Google everything. Don't think because you are good at math that this class will be easy. It's not like math. READ SYLLABUS. Don't whine, go with the flow, buy a calculator, teach yourself. Done

He brings out the best in his students! At first, I was fearful of attending college; Mr. Domnitch helped me to have the confidence to continue with my college education. He showed me I CAN do this!!

He teaches and explains everything you need to know to pass very clearly. Very funny, while still teaching things. Do the practice test and you will get a good grade on test and in the class.

Statistics isn't the easiest, but using excel formulas makes this very easy. The lecture are very specific and the homework and practice tests make it easy to do well on the exams. Highly recommended.

He lectures are PP presentations, and videos of himself teaching excel and formulas. He had some dry dad jokes in there which made it somewhat interesting. Homework, practice quizzes, & DB posts are mandatory but no grade is given. Only thing that's graded are your 5 unit tests. No tests are dropped, but he did give me EC for completing all HW

The first three test are easy, the last two are challenging, only advice would be do not leave those two to the last moment. Discussions and homework are mandatory to pass the class, but you are only graded on the five test. Use youtube and google to learn the material if excel is not your strong point. I think if you try you will get the A.

U need to complete hw to pass class. But hw isnt counted towards grade. U need to post 10 discussions per chapter... everyones writing anything jus for credit, easy... exams are all that your grades on so thats your biggest concern. I went to tutoring n did them w a tutor and passed class with an A. the exams are taken home on my math lab,easy.

Jay Domnitch's online statistics class is what a perfect online math class looks like. Very easy to understand class format, and his lectures and slides are very informative. The only negative about this class is the 10 discussion posts per unit, but that is a minor criticism.

As long as you: Complete all homework for completion, not accuracy. Post 10 times per discussion. Use the workbooks provided to make the pretests easier! Practice the pretests untill youre ready to test. You will pass! Very doable! Grade is based off tests only. Proff rounded my grade up to a B because all hw and discussions were done

I took this professor for statistics a few years ago. I left college for personal reasons. I wanted to take professor Dominitch for another class, but I found out he no longer works at the college. That is disappointing because he is the best math professor I have ever had.
