Mr Koepke is very knowledgeable dedicated and very helpful professor, I do respect him for what he does.Definitely I recommend him to any student.
Great teacher. Seems to enjoy teaching. He's not easy but he is helpful and fair..
The best A&P professor at Edison
the best teacher you can have!!!
WONDERFULL, HELPFULL, FAIR ENJOY REACHING
Top notch prof. You won't find any better. Class is still difficult due to subject matter, be prepared to study!
Fantastic teacher. You can tell how much he enjoys the subject. He makes you want to learn.
The best teacher you could ever have !
He is one of those great professors that any student would love to have.He makes the class so enjoyable & fun based on the fact that he teaches a hard subject.I would highly recommend him.Study the PP & go to friday's lab and you will ace that class.Btw,if you are a LIONS fan,you get an extra point :)Great person & family oriented as well!
As good as it gets for A&P; he's wonderful, and he's HOT!
Awesome professor! Makes the class fun and is able to joke with you. Serious when he needs to be! Read the PP and be prepared for the short answer questions on the tests! Would take him again in a heartbeat and recommend him to everyone!
Fantastic Professor. I took him for AP I & II. Class material is not easy, but if you study you will be fine. He is very helpful. Pay attention to the power points and read the chapters before class.
He is great .. I love his class... the way he teaches its amasing... Awesome teach .. Take him!!
I would not recommend him to someone who is not good at learning bones, muscles and tissues. 70% of his exams are from the lab book .This is not the best practice of teaching. The exams should be 50%lab and 50% of phisiology. That will give everyone a chance to pass the class. However, he is not a bad professor.
Best professor I've ever had! He presents blank power points, which you print out & bring to class to help you take notes & follow during lecture. Everything on exams is covered on power points. Very helpful, understanding, well spoken. Quizzes every other week, with option to drop the lowest. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Took Koepke for Anatomy and Phys. 1 and 2... Very straight forward you put in work you get a good grade. Powerpoint lectures and 10 question quizzes. Exams can be a little difficult so study hard
If you want to keep your GPA, STAY AWAY. Goes to deep into all subjects matter for the level of the class. Good instructor but he would be better suited at a major university, not a CC.
Professor goes very in depth with the material. He is the type that you will fail the test, but in the end you'll understand the material. ALOT OF STUDYING. Take this class by it's self. Great professor for University, but not CC. I thought he was all over the place when he teaches & goes way to fast. Not an easy A it's very hard work.
Great Professor highly recommended. Do the power points and lab and you will ace the class. University level courses, challenging to Edison student, due to the level of teaching...
One of the best professor's I've ever had both at University or State college level. Even though this is a state college he teaches and expects you to learn at a university level. Many people complain about it, but why be mad that you're getting university style teaching for half the cost? I rather be prepared then take an easy A.WORK HARD!
You want to be a medical professional? You have got to know this stuff COLD. Learn it by reading, outlining, drawing the stuff in the text, using flashcards, doing practice tests. You must put 8-12 hours a week BEFORE he gives a lecture. And by the way, you will never be so proud as when you get an A from this excellent teacher.
He is not an easy teacher but you will learning. If you want an easy A do not take this class. But if you want to learn and be prepared for later courses than TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. If you can't pay attention or the type to day dream. RECORD THE LECTURE!! He allows you to record by using your cell phone.STUDY THE POWER POINT and youll get an A!!
Excellent!!! Challenging, but you will learn a lot.
He is an awesome teacher!!!A&P is not an easy subject but he gives you little hints of what could be in the exams during his lecture. If you can record the lecture, he asks question in regards to stuff cover in lecture. Study PP and do lab work and you will get a good grade. You do need to put the time and study to get a good grade.
He is a xecellent teacher, but if youy want an easy A, forget about. Hi push you to the limit, and it is a lot material to study. Take ONLY HIS CLASS!
I took Koepke for A&P 1. He is one of the best Science professor Edison State College ever had. His class is not easy at all, but if you study hard you'll do well on his class. He doesn't give you an easy A like other professors do, you really have to earned it. He makes the class go faster. I love his teaching style. Best Professor Ever!!!!
Extremely thorough and interesting. Explains everything in detail and very helpful. Reasonable and understanding. This is not an easy course and requires a lot of studying. If you have to take this course, he's the best professor if you actually want to learn.
I took him for A&P1 and I will take him for A&P2. I like his teaching style. Gives 5 in class quizzes and drop the lowest one. He's a great professor and make his class FUN even tough A&P is hard. Make sure you print all the PP before class and MUST STUDY TO PASS his LONG and HARD tests.I would recommend anyone to take him. Get ready to learn!!!
I took the blended course that met once a week and it was pretty tough. The practical part of the exams you don't get a word bank and have to label pictures from your memory. Usually no study guides. Good teacher, just takes a LOT of studying on your part.
Took the 12 online, 12 in class version. It was great. Lectures were online so I could watch them when I wanted and could pause and re-watch. Class time was spent reviewing lectures and doing activities. One of the best professors I've ever had. Very clear in his expectations. Watch the lectures and study and a good grade is very attainable.
You get a grade for attendance and an opportunity for extra credit. I got a B and worked hard for it. This class is not easy, and I have been in the medical field for 4 years. I took the part onlinein class 1 day a week version and its hard. He makes way too many videos. There is just too much to cram in only one semester. It was a lot of work.
Took him for A&P 1, very hard class!! It was a blended course .The practical part of the exams you don't get a word bank and have to label pictures from your memory. You must study for this class or you won't pass. There's quizzes every time you come to class, which he tells you what's going to be on it and gives you a study guide for the tests.
I have only attended one of his lectures so far and I am already swamped with assignments and completely overwhelmed! He gives way too many assignments, which leaves you little-no time to actually study and retain information. I work a full time job and have other commitments in my life but he does not care at all. Do not take this class!!!!!
great
Professor Koepke knows his stuff. On his online lectures he sounds very serious but in class he is goofy and makes learning fun. Expect to do a lot of home work. If you don't show up to class or slack you will not pass. Makes you work for that A
Professor Koepke is a great professor. I took his "blended" class which is part classroom time and part online lectures. I had no problem with this class and its expectations. The course work yes was hard but Professor Koepke is straight forward and tells you what he wants you to know and what to expect on your exams. I enjoyed his A&P I class.
I'm taking this blended class and I have been an A/B student all along. So far I have a D in this class and I have studied but the tests are very hard. He states that you need to spend 20 hours of time each week toward this class and that is VERY unrealistic even for someone who has no responsibilities outside of school, which most people do have .
I took Koepke for Anatomy and Physiology 2 blended class and it was horrible. Quiz grades were never in until the day before next class. Lectures were long and confusing. Even if you think you get it, think again. It will be worded in Chinese on the exam. Attendance is mandatory. Help was never offered. Office hours were never mentioned.
I took the blended class; meets 1/ week, the rest on the internet. The lectures were great, good sense of humor. The class focused what to study and made learning the material simple. Print the handout, go to class, study from it, and it's easy. There is a quiz or test every class, which breaks the studying down; one section to learn at a time.
Don't take this class if you are a full time worker and want an A . Too much staff to cram in one semester and almost everything is on line. Also test are really difficult you have to label models memorized which can result frustrating and test are also long.
not an easy one with him test are long and difficult and too much staff to cram
Truly a knowledgeable professor. I took him over the summer and he was able to make things work out very nicely. He has videos of all his lectures and gives a lot of good study material. If you study, and stay on top of things you will succeed in this class and you will learn so much. Amazing class, amazing teacher.
Honestly the best professor at FSW. I took him for both A&P 1& 2. His lectures were never boring, truly interesting, and he is very funny (video lectures are a plus). He helps you understand the material and you will truly learn a lot! BTW as a full time student/worker, his class is doable. Just put time into in and STUDY!!!!
I had Professor Koepke for both Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2. One of the BEST professors you will ever have; both hilarious and intelligent. There are always extra credit questions on quizzes and tests. Tests are mainly multiple choice with maybe 1 or 2 short answers questions. This class is impossible to fail as long as you study! Take Koepke!!
One of my all-time favorite professors. Take him! You will work hard but you will learn so much. He wants you to succeed. Hands down best A&PII professor out there.
i read the comments on how this was a tough class and what not, and i thought i was in trouble. Turns out this was the best choice I made. He gives good lectures in class and also on his power points so you don't have to open your book. He doesn't give out homework but there are canvas quizzes that helps prepare for the exam. He's a great prof.
Prof. Koepke is an excellent teacher. Take him for A&p 1&2 if you really want to know anatomy like the back of your hand. he prepares you for the medical field. he uses very short and explicit PP of the chapters, and ask easy and clear question from them. no trick? study and show up on class or watch his online class video and you will pass with A
Prof. Koepke is a fair and amazing professor. The use of online lectures allows you to study again what he teaches in class- or preview before lecture to enhance learning. The power point lecture handouts are the greatest tool to help study. He gives a lot of opportunity for a good grade as well as office hours to chat if you need it.
Professor Koepke is the best Anatomy professor! He makes sure you really understand Anatomy. If you study his powerpoints and study the material you will pass for sure. Just be ready to dedicate lots of study time for his class. His tests are somewhat heavy, he makes you label lots of things during the test also. He is understanding and caring.
Inspirational teacher that makes learning fun and interesting. Quizzes every class, but he posts lectures online that allow you to go at your own pace and refer back to them if needed. Very fair and fun! Would def take his classes again.
I took Koepke for A&P 1 and 2. He is incredible. Now just to let you know, he makes you work for it. He is tough, but he gives extra credit and rewards you for taking the time to do the work. You earn what you put in. I got A's, but he made me work for it. He makes you learn, but if you want to learn more then take him.
Hardest course I've ever taken. The class itself requires LOTS of study time if you want to pass, ESPECIALLY with Prof Koepke. I was a couple points from an A and he brought it up, but only because I had a 20 point difference in 2 quizzes. Class quiz like every week and they're hardly ever what's on the study guides. He's tough, but teaches well.
Professor Koepke is a great professor but the blended course was one of the hardest course I've taken. I work full time and took another class, I got an A in the class but definitely worked for it.
I took Koepke for A&P 1 and 2 and would not have it any other way! His courses are blended and he posts lectures online. Definitely makes you work for your grade but A&P is a hard course. Tests are exceptionally hard but as long as you study the PowerPoints you should be able to pass. Got an A in both classes.
I had Professor Koepke for Anatomy I & II. He is a very knowledgeable professor and will answer any questions that you have!! Quizzes weekly but if you pay close attention to your Power Points and Study Guides you will know what to expect. He is very organized and you always know what to expect. Expect to spend a lot of time studying material!
I took professor koepke for AP I and II, he is awesome. When it comes to labeling pictures he doesnt give you a word bank because he wants you to leave this class actually remembering the things you learned because if your career is in the medical field it is crucial to actually know about the human body. Hes only being tough for our own good.
Koepke is a really difficult prof, but he's the best person to take for A&P. You will retain the most knowledge by taking him as opposed to other profs. You need to devote a ton of time for studying and homework or you won't pass. He's really funny and a great prof, but that course material is just very difficult, make sure you have the dedication.
Best professor I've ever had. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Gives quiz every class with extra credit. Tests were not hard if you study. Is a blended class so many lectures were online. Great format. I learned so much from Professor Koepke.
Another great professor at FSW. Hell make sure that youll understand every little bit. Very nice guy with funny jokes. If you study good, youll get an easy A!
I took both A&P 1 and 2 with him and they were my favorite classes in undergrad. The material is hard, but he is a wonderful professor and makes things easy to understand. He provides SO many resources on blackboard that it's difficult NOT to be prepared for exams. You get out of it what you put in. He will prepare you for RN, PA, MD, PT etc school
For the récord this was a blend course, meaning it was half on classroom and half online. His lectores are great and very intertaining, the only complain I have its that his test are really hard and detail, 100 question per test between baking parts from images and question, for me it was a really hard Class, but I have learn a lot.
Loved taking this class, cant wait to take him again for A&P 2 next semester!
Very pleased with this professor. Loved the hybrid class. Allowed for in-class instruction with the flexibility of online work for those with busy schedules. Professor genuinely cared that his students learned and you could see that in his lectures and teaching style. He made what could be a daunting subject exciting to learn.
fantastic teacher makes learning fun, would take any class he may teach.
Prof. Kopeke is an amazing professor. His class requires you to show up and pay attention. He provides you with all the information needed to achieve an A. His lectures are interesting and engaging. He makes power points that are accessible. His blended course is made up of quizzes online and 3 in class exams, all of which are easy. He's very funny
I like to refer to him as bald Jesus. Even in a pandemic, the criteria is clear and his lectures are exactly what you are tested on. Conceptually the course is not very difficult, just requires a lot of studying. 7 Exams and long videos for the lectures, but use the quizlets he provides to study too.
Dr. Koepke is wonderful, He provides you with the necessary sources needed to pass the class; study guides created by him, quizlet links, Animation videos, along with video lectures and PPx. As long as you study you will pass his class. His class also consist of doing discussion post and lab assignments, quizzes, exams ( I took him online).
Professor Koepke designs his class in a way that takes off the stress from the student. Although exams are 50% of the grade, the other material balances it out. I received a not so decent grade on 2 exams and still managed to finish the class with a 88%. He's a great professor take really takes the time to make a difficult subject simple.
I had to take the class online do to COVID and had to withdraw from it. I messaged him regarding my grade and concerns. He said it be best to withdraw instead of offering help or guidance on how to study for exams.
Prof. Koepke was a great teacher for the online course. I learned a lot from it, and if you do all the work and use the quizlet and study guides you will get a good grade.
I loved professor Kopeke. Yes the material was a lot and you had to work for it, but taking him was definitely worth it. Walking into class for lecture, I would understand everything he talked about, and made the class more understandable. If you want to understand the material in this course, I definitely recommend him as your professor
WORST professor I think I have ever had. He is quite incompetent when it comes to helping out students. I had to withdrawal from his class because I could not take another second of his horrible teaching style. Reported to the dean a lot, make sure you do not make a single mistake with his class because you will pay for it! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Someone referred to him as bald Jesus & I can't say that they're wrong. He really made me work for my A, I passed with over 100% but I studied every day. The way he structured his class really benefits all medical field majors because you HAVE to understand the material to pass. Use all the support materials, lectures, PPT, mini-games! loved him!
This is THE worst professor I have ever had in college. He does not care about his students at all and when I asked for help he told me to read the textbook. He also will not take any late work for any reason. I don't think he cares if you were in the hospital he just says "thats how life goes". DO NOT take him if you want to learn or pass.
Dr. Koepke is an amazing professor who is willing to answer all questions. The class was well structured and he took the time to keep us updated on a weekly basis.
So this class is not a class to play around and turn in late assignments. You have to be on your game 110%. I bought the physical book because I learn by book. Also for the faith of your grade, you need to practice on allpurposegames and quizlet from beginning to end of the semester. Be early to discussions. In all, wish you the best luck.
When I first started the class I thought it was super hard and that every assignment was so specific. After the first month I came to realize that this class isn't hard at all if you focus on what is in the module. He gives games to play, quizzes, labs, discussions, lectures, powerpoints and quizlets. Follow the modules and study you will do great!
Well, to begin don't take this class with another class if you're going into Nursing at FSW, then take it while in the program, not beforehand. There is a quiz the day before class and a quiz in class every time. . You get to dissect animal hearts. Tough class to say the least, I struggled and ended dropping out. Most of the class did as well.
Professor Koepke is easily the best professor I've ever had. He has very detailed powerpoint lectures and he expands and explains each concept thoroughly, and all of the study guides contain the same info that will be on tests/quizzes. He is really funny and understanding as a person, which makes his class a lot more enjoyable.
In the beginning it is a bit overwhelming, but was very reassuring! It's important to stay on top of the lectures and online assignments. I did the blended course where we meet once a week and rest of the work online. Lectures and other helpful tools to study! Use them you'll be okay!Overall, It's doable! Do not take with any other intensive course
Greatest professor i have probably ever taken. Exams can be heavy, however, EVERYTHING on his power point is on the exam, he also makes quizlets and study guides for you to study. he makes a heavy content class very easy to understand. i took this class with ORGO... and got A's on all his exams, easy A if you study everything he provides. TAKE HIM
Best teacher EVER. I was concerned about how well I would do in this class, but he really provides you with everything you need. As long as you utilize everything provided, you will succeed. We are one month away until the semester, and my grade had never been lower than an 87, and I had about a 95 up until then. I already registered for AP2.
He is a really good professor. As long as you do the work and the assignments provided to you, you should do good. Studying for A&P requires at least 2 hours each of your day to study in order for you to understand the modules.
i would not recommended to take this professor.
Professor Koepke was a really outstanding teacher for online would take him again. His course is hard but he'll help you and respond to you in a short amount of time.
He was amazing. I had to study hard but he provides you all the information that you need. Quizlet, youtube videos, power points, online quizzes and in class quiz every week. Exams are 75 questions. If you know how to study you can get a good grade
I recently took it as a mini B term, and while it was very difficult, his lectures are easy to follow, and his assignments are self-explanatory. He readily answers emails and provides outside resources if you don't understand something. I could tell he cares about his students. If you do the work and put in the effort, you will pass.Great professor
I took Professor Koepke about 12 years ago for Anatomy and Physiology 2, and by thr grace of God I am a RN now. Professor Koepke help me to accomplish my nursing career goals. God bless you Professor Koepke.
Professor Koepke is hands down one of the greatest instructors I have had in higher education. His expectations are grounded and laid out like a detailed roadmap. Follow them exactly and you will find success. I still refer to his lectures to this day. My girlfriend, whose in her last year of medical school, even watches him for refreshers!
Professor Koepke is a great teacher. His class is outlined really well and he communicates often and with intention throughout the course. He makes a very difficult class much more digestable. You definitely do have to put in work but he gives you so many different resources that it's easy to choose a form that is convenient to your learning style.
I would not take this professor. He was a struggle to deal with and does not seem to respect his students. He is not understanding and basically wants you to live and breathe this class like it is your whole life. Some students may have other experiences with him but there are better options out there especially for a difficult class like this
A very nice guy, but helps you a-lot.
I took this class online and don't regret it. Professor Koepke explains every topic very well. It is a tough class, you have to put in a lot of time to get a good grade. Make sure to listen to the lectures and study the labeling assignments. Make sure to study ahead of time, since there is A LOT of information to cover.
