This guy is amazing...some people are scared of him but he gives you the real deal. this class is hard so study your stuff..the final will get you anyway regardless how good your teacher is. you have to be in his class..by the way, shut your cell......

He is the best teacher for this class. It's tough and everyone knows that but he tries to simplify it in order for you to understand. He's funny too. One thing though, if ur cell rings, you're gonna have to sing or talk about you in front of the class.

brilliant...tough course...I was 100% I failed due to my absolute lack of effort but ended up with c-. If you put forthg half an effort, you can easily get a B or higher. Boutchkova Is easier to get better grade going into final.Great guy, great teacher, but his tests don't really reflect the final.

he makes extremely funny jokes all the time and his sample quiz and midterm are extremely helpful and no need to read the book. however, the final will turn out to be a nightmare since it's made by Boutchkova not him. you better read the book on your own 2 weeks before the final.

He explains well and he knows the material from head to toe...u'll never get bored in his class and if u wanna do well, u better attend all the classes and practice his past mid-term and quizzes; however final will be really tough. Keep ur cell on only if ur ready to sing and dance for the class.

He clarify calculations but not theory. If you are in finance major, I do not recommend him. You have to read all the theory by yourself. But his quizzes are very helpful to pass this course. And power off your mobile in the class!!!

wow i wish all my finance teachers were like him. i had the honor to be in his last class for 308. sorry guys but hes never teaching comm 308 again.always keeps the class happy and cracks jokes and yet somehow teaches a very hard course.

Really good teacher and really funny. He had the whole class cracking up almost every class. He is a very tough marker especially on the presentations. If you take really good notes in I'm sure you can ace his class.

I had him in 1994 and he was one of the best profs I had.. funny and really great teacher. He gladly remarked my paper when I asked him to rechecvk my grade. I hope to run into him one day and thank him for being the ONLY teacher from my university years that I have such fond memories

I originally took this course with Mr. Rakita and had to drop it. Then I took it with Mannadiar and I have to say it's like night and day. Everything was so clear with him and very interesting. His class was a lot of fun and very enjoyable! Although the final is very tough compared to the stuff that was covered in class. Expect the worst!

I loved his lectures, I NEVER fell asleep. His exams are fairly straightforward but he is extremely picky about what he wants and will dock marks on small details and technicalities. From that standpoint, he is an excessively hard marker.

Great teacher...anyone who says otherwise is just lazy and wants to get a good grade without any effort...No need for book, if you understand all the examples he shows in class, you can get an A...final is hard but fair! I enjoyed this class. Many students complained a lot on the discussion board about error in practice question answers and some typos but if you're good in math and have any kind of Finance or Econ background you should do fine. The material is fairly easy to understand (his videos are actually not that bad and he is easy to understand) Got an A:)

By far one of the better teachers in Finance; Want to learn? take his class. He talks very fast, so you have to be ready when you step in class. Finals are fairly hard, but really mark you on point. Projects are long and marked really harshly. But he's helpful and understanding.

You should attend every class because there is no textbook in his course; he covers theory & problems on the blackboard. The midterm is fairly easy if you don't make a mistake. For the group assignment, be very detailed (don't double tax) and make the presentation professional. The final is cumulative and covers the projects too (ex: find TCOP)

This Online class was quite easy. I don't know what the complaints are all about, really. I could see how you could be disappointed if you expected to put in zero effort; however, with a minimal amount of work, coupled with good math skills, an A is quite easy to attain. If you feel comfortable with simple math and business concepts, take it.

AMAZING. Best teacher in JMSB. People who do not like him, tend to be those who can't add or use basic logic. He really cares about the students and is HILARIOUS. Had the whole class laughing most of the time. Would take him again for ANYTHING. Scored high 90' on midterm, without doing much studying. Just attend class, and you're set.

Mr. Mannadiar is a really entertain and good teacher. He makes the class pleasant mostly when you are taking during summer. His past quizzes and past midterms are a very extremely important tools to prepare you for the midterm. So try to score good grades for the first half of the course because the FINAL is killer super long and challenging!!

ok i really dont get what all the complaints are about, i took this class as an elective...my major is in chemistry this is the first class i ever took in business and i got an A-. read the material, know your stuff and you can get a decent grade.

Straight forward teaching. Bludgens you to death till you understand. Will repeat and quide you throughout the semester

I definitely recommend taking fina450 with Jay! There's no textbook, Jay tells you EXACTLY what to expect on the midterm and final. The actual midterm was the same as the practice midterm, all he did was change the numbers! He repeatedly explains problems. Just make sure you have a good group for the project! I got an A- with minimal effort.

EASY CLASS! He's a very cool guy. Go to class early and talk to him. He's very interesting. Make sure you go to class cause his exams are straight from what he teacher in class. Summer class = no group project = SUPER EASY. Hardly any effort put in and got an A-. Take him if you can!!!

2 multiple choice quizzes, part theory, part problem solving. Basic questions, basic problem solving. Final was easy, same format as the quizzes. Just need to know the basic theories and calculations. Formulas are provided for final. All calculations can be done on the calculator in 2 minutes. Easy A+. Strongly recommended.

This is why this elective is not an easy A. The final is 50 M/c qestions and is worth 70%. Which means every question is worht 1.4%. That means if you make 10 mistakes your down 15%. No matter how smart you are trust me you will make a couple of mistakes here and there and your grade will sky rocket downward. It was online. No idea if prof is good

As previous comments have stated, the practice exams are very similar to the actual ones. The only challenging aspect of the course is the group project. It is meant to be difficult to test your understanding of real world situations. From a practical standpoint, a good grade in his class led to a job interview at GE capital due to his reputation.

Prof Mannadiar explains the course material well, but don't skip any classes because lectures are full of useful information and you will fall behind. He prepares you well for assignments and exams. Take FINA 210 with him if you are willing to put in the work.

This is by far the easiest class you'll ever take, though if you are not as quick with numbers and calculators you may have some problems. Attendance is A MUST in the sense that if you miss, even the first 15 min YOU WILL BE LOST, so find a friend. NO SURPRISES for quizes or exams, but he is not kind for part marks. Humorous and kind to questions!

I'd recommend this professor but with a warning. Do not avoid the practice exams. Going to class is not enough to do well on the midterm and final (especially). He taught in clear terms and explained himself well. His examples were relevant and well supported. Don't underestimate COMM 308.

Easiest A I've ever gotten. Class consists of two quizzes and a final. Final was multiple choice. Has video slides with examples/calculations along with practice questions from the textbook. I wish I could do it again.

He looks tough and serious, but he's very nice and helpful after class. Moreover, I don't think he is a hard marker.The mid-term AVERAGE of my class was 80%.He gave me 87.5%.I could actually be lower because I lost more than 12.5 marks after I calculated. The bad thing for his class is that his notes is fast so that you have to keep in pace.

Greatest professor ever! Very easy class. Impossible to fail. Do your work and you'll do great. I would definitely take one of his classes again. If you follow the guidelines, you will do great.

Tough grader but the material is fairly easy. If your final answer isnt right then you've probably lost the majority or all of your marks. He explains very well and gives PPTs so you do not need a book. Make sure to attend classes to take notes in order to get your A-. If you go to class, listen, take notes this class is an easy A-.

Amazing Prof, Very clear about what is needed to succeed in his class. FINA 450 was one of the more interesting classes at JMSB and he is always available for discussion.

there's 2 sections to this class. the online or inclass. I signed up for the online section and it is alot easier online. the quizzes are relatively easy and for the final exam just focus on the past final exam for practice and you will do really good.10

Dr. Mannadiar is one hell of a teacher! If you take FINA210 in-class, prepare to study. He gives easy to understand lectures with a good sense of humor. He is strict, but fair. Work on your calculator skills cause a single mistake means you lose bunch of marks. He will answer your questions, and he will like you if you participate. Easy A class!

If you're looking to get yourself a high GPA, if you are not skilled in math, if you are looking for a class to get an easy A, this class is not one of them. Only 2 tests during the semester, and if you fail one of them, good luck buddy. This class may be worth it for students who are already in the FINA program, but save yourself the grade...
