very funny.. and fairly easy ,3 essays gives extra credit, a requiered performance to see and a final which he gives the questions to before .However you really don't learn much from the class so if you want to learn something, don't take him.

Very cool teacher. It's clear he loves his subject. Easy work if you pay attention. Few tests, a bunch of papers (only one was REALLY HARD). I thought theatre was just old but he made it interesting.

He's fun; and while you think you that youre sitting there, having fun and not learning anything the truth is that he is really teaching. I thought I learned nothing, but then when the final came, and i knew all the answers, i thought to myself wow, I didn't know any of this 3 months ago. Fun prof!!

If I could choose one word to describe Jay, it would have to be excellent. Jay is a great professor, very clear in his teachings, and an all around great guy. I would definitely reccomend him to anybody who plans on taking theater classes.

Everyone probably gets an A+ if they do the midterm and final project. I thought he said if the students fails the Final Exam, they fail the class, guess that was a joke cuz I failed the Final Exam. Took him kinda long to give out the final grades. His class was just great. Easy A+!!!

Professor Jay Michaels is a kind-hearted professor. His 3 speeches are in between 3-5 minutes and you can read off your outline when going up! You also Dont have to dress and he is easy. His final is a piece of cake. Textbook isnt really necessary and he is very funny. Trust me unless you never come and never do a speech, you wont fail his class.

He is without a doubt, the most interesting and welcoming professor I've ever had at college. He will always say something nice about you, and he goes out of his way to make sure you feel comfortable. While the first few speeches are difficult, you get the hang of it. He makes you feel like he wants you to do well, and he really does.

Basically he cares pretty much of you as individuals, not just students. He understood my weakness in pronouncing the words and articulation problems through my own perspective and walked me through each steps until I become better and better. A great professor, i went into his class scared out of my mind hearing the word presentation however, after the first speech it wasn't so bad and i got through it. It's not as bad as it seems guys. 3 main speeches 2 to 5 minutes long, 3 mini speeches and a final speech. He helped me conquer my fear of public speaking.

We need more Professors like Jay Michaels. He is hilarious, cares about his students, and makes class enjoyable. He is genuinely a good guy, which is why many respect him. My only complaint is that I took him during the summer session, and I would have easily loved to spend more time in his class! I would recommend him to anyone!

This is one of the BEST professors I had this awful winter semester, which I would highly recommend. He gives great feedback on presentation and is not a professor that wants you to fail. He class is an A+ unless you're not there and don't do your presentations than you failed. His test are easy too. He teaches winter and summer sessions.

Awesome prof just took his final and it was funny as hell. I took him cuz of the ratings and everything people said about him is true. we did 5 presentation but the first one was just to warm up (you introduce a partner to a class and other presentations were based on stories and a poem. Had such a fun time being in his class. Loved the final.

Prof J Michaels is an amazing professor to take for the summer classes. He gives amazing feedback and does not give negative feedback to the students. I would recommend taking this Prof class. Also he does take you out of your comfort zone but it was good for me since I am an introvert which helped open up & talk more to my classmates.

Public speaking class with Professor M. is Chill and exciting. Its hard to say its an easy A class but I feel like Professor really gives everyone a chance to Ace it. Especially with students with learning disabilities or language barrier, he gives generous grade. 3 speeches (dont be shy and always with POWERPOINT) + easy MCQ final w 50 questions.

I never write reviews, but this professor is really worth to write about. He is the BEST speech professor in KBCC for sure! Everyone starting with A+, you just need to keep your grade by doing the work he assigns. 3 speeches, 1 group project, final 50 multiple choice questions. English is not my first language and it was so comfortable in class!

Excellent educator but don't take his kindness for weakness. Show up and put your camera on if the class is synchronous!! Professor Michaels is the BEST. This was my second class with him and you know what - I'm taking a THIRD class with him. He will give you praise and confidence and truly help you to project and speak with articulation and meaning. If you have an opportunity to take one of Professor Michaels classes - do not hesitate and enroll right away!

REALLY cool professor. Knows so much about various kinds of media, super willing to engage with a variety of topics. He's super good at bringing people out of their shells, and he's very understanding of the fact that you may not have ever done public speaking before while still expecting you to bring your A-game. Great professor. Just how a professor should be. It's not about grades with him. It's about development. I felt he should have been a bit harder on the students. It would have helped them to improve and grow more. Always has a good thing to say about everyone. Wonderful person. I chose him over other speech professors and I am quite glad I did!

TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN. He is my favorite professor i ever took his class was the only class i would be excited for, he would go above and beyond to try and help you become a better you. He Motivates you to do better. He makes you want to come to class.

The professor is a knowledgeable teacher. In class, I had many opportunities for speech practice, and he gave us feedback and suggestions in time. I got a lot of inspiration and encouragement from him, which made me improve a lot and believe that I can do better than I expect. If you really want to improve yourself in speech, just take his class.

He's very knowledgeable and experienced in the field. Although his lectures were a bit lacking, he is a great professor.
