Prof. Schwarz is one of the nicest people I met. He was a great teacher. I don't know why someone would say his class is hard. College is not for you to find a teacher that is extremely easy. It is about taking classes with teachers that stimulate you intellectually. He is an excellent teacher!

Great class and great teacher. The tests were long but very fair, and he always went ove rthe material. No homework but one major project that was both easy and interesting. Always good notes and intellectually stimulating. Very helpful if you need it, just ask him!

I took this class at an accelerated pace. Tests were difficult: true/false, multiple choice, fill-in the blank, and short answer. But, he will give you direction on what to study IF YOU ASK. 5 min PowerPoint presentation required. Keeps lectures interesting. Good communicator via e-mail.

I liked this class. He is a great teacher. He likes to talk so write down all his notes and also some of what he says in class. If you don't understand something just ask him.

This teacher is very easy and very understanding. You have to study for his class and act like a college student but you can play with him and he is very personable. He will help you all he can and if you miss a class, he invites you to his others. Great teacher. Highly recommend.

Great teacher! All the notes are on powerpoint, that he puts together with music and all.(Every once in a while he adds a funny slide that he goes by quickly, so pay attention!) If you are at all interested in sociology, take Professor Schwarz. He grades on tests, attendence and a very easy powerpoint (that if you present, you get a 100%) Take him!

Once you attend class study your notes then the test are just fine. as far as memorizing statistics, there arent many to memorize. This professor is so cool he doesn't require attendence but if u come everyday he gives extra credit there's no homework and all of your grades are based off easy test that are given directly from the notes. He the best take him if u wana have fun.

For this being my first class in the summer of my coleege experience, I really enjoyed. I learned some interesting facts about the human society. Plus Professor Schwarz really helps his students. Tust me your will never be bored and won't expect a grade lower than a B. Thats just how good he is. I wish that he could teach more of my classes.

This guy is so awesome. All you have to do is take notes and study. You do that and you'll be fine. I've opened the textbook twice and I have a 97. He's constantly making jokes and keeping the atmosphere light. Everyone needs a humanities class so take this guy and boost your GPA.

Totally awesome! super clear and soooo funny his class was my favorite, if you dont like it you honestly didnt go. He discuss everything that is gonna be on our test and grades fairly, and his research paper is super easy... great teacher!

This is a good class to take. Just take notes and go a day prior to the tests for the study notes. I was going to drop this class because my first test was a low F. It was my fault as I didn't go a day before to pick up the notes. I didn't drop and I'm happy I didn't. I still got an A in his class.

Incredibly funny stories that relate to every single issue, theory or subject w/in Sociology.He will help you as much as he can. You feel comfortable and are not afraid to ask questions more than once. If you want an A study, but, his study guides are generally helpful, with extra credit here and there. He is awesome!

Oh my goodness! After taking this class twice with another professor and failing I almost decided to skip this subject, but wow! Professor J made this subject incredibly interesting! He gives extra credit and is SUPER helpful. You won't stop laughing at his stories that pertain to the subject. TAKE HIM! He is AWESOME! You will NOT regret it!!!!!!!

Great Professor who is passionate about his subject. Often includes some comical, personal-life anecdotes which make class-time light-hearted and amusing. The writing credit is broken up into multiple, manageable assignments as opposed to one long research-paper. Lecture notes are crucial to your success, so go to class. You'll enjoy it anyways.

TAKE THIS CLASS!!! best and most easy going class I have ever had. He is awesome. 2 current events and 2 apa style papers. Take good notes and you will ace the tests. gives lots of extra credit for class games. learned a lot and without having to stress out. Wish more classes were taught like this. Professor Schwarz is entertaining! His class is based solely on the notes HE provides. Tests are given from his notes; they are worth 200 points. Rarely do we use our book(if ever.) Three papers assigned- none of which are worth nearly as many points as the tests. He's very nice, and willing to give extra credit. Not a difficult class.

You will regret not taking this class. Passed with an A+ without the book, just take good notes (impossible not to-he tells you what is going to be on the test and what NOT to write down). Super funny, interesting, and he always lets you out early.

Great professor! I took his Tuesday night class and loved it. Don't buy the textbook because you won't use it. Four tests, two current events, one paper, one self paper. No busy work. Explains concepts very well. I signed up for another of his classes next semester.

Great professor! I took his SYG2441 (Social Institutions) class this semester. Pretty much no busy work, only assignments that pertain to what you're learning. Look over your notes/show up to class (extra credit!) and you'll be fine.

If you need a GPA booster or simply need the credit take this class.The professor gives tons of extra credit to make sure that you pass the class and makes the class interesting.He throws in random facts to make things interesting and the book is not really needed.

He's hilarious!! Always told us stories about his life and never kept us more than 45 minutes. You have to study a bit, but for the most part he tells you everything that's on the during his notes. Easy A!!

Not one to give opinions on this but by far one of the best. He's a riot and makes class fun, very knowledgeable and respectful of his students. It was a very interesting class. Professor Schwarz is extremely fair with his grading. It is not an "easy" A. It takes studying and class attendance to earn an A in the class. He is one of the very few teachers out there that have a very clear understanding of what they are teaching. As a whole, this is a class that I would recommend to anyone!

pROF sCHWARZ is really laid back, goes through all power points in lecture and gives print outs even after he emails them to you! Gives extra credit through out semester , so go to the seminars! For tests and quizzes he gives a study guide, ALWAYS! Highly recommended
