Dr. Shore doesn't really know how to teach. I would attend all of his classes and didn't really get anything from them. I would study for the tests just by myself and the material made sense. Dr. Shore explains chemistry as it is - he doesn't "dumb" it down to make it easier to understand, but instead expects you to understand the concepts for what they are, which is why he's challenging. He expects you to study out of class, and it's necessary with the amount of information covered. Do the worksheets, read and go to class; you'll pass.

He starts out the beginning of the semester intense to weed people out, but don't let it scare you. He is a great professor and cares about his students. You get what you put in. Make sure to watch the lecture video before class and do the turning point questions, as mundane as they seem. Also, go to SI and tutoring and you'll be okay.

Dr. Shore is clearly knowledgeable in the field and usually his lectures are very easy to follow along. This class does require a lot of work but Dr. Shore does everything he can to prepare students and supplies them with the resources they need to succeed.

Dr. Shore does a good job of making students aware of all the resources on campus. His class is pretty repetitive which can be boring, but in my opinion it made it a lot easier to learn.

Love Jay Shore, make sure you watch and take notes on the video lectures and go to class. Diligence is more important than intelligence.

It's a very straight forward class, your grade reflects your effort, lectures can be a bit tedious and confusing at times, but he's always been helpful when I ask questions. Study and memorize the stuff he tells you to and it's an easy A. The SI's are super helpful with that as well. Good luck y'all.

Professor Shore's CHEM112 class can be tough, but put in the effort and you'll be rewarded. The lectures are engaging, and using resources like SI, tutoring, and unstuck AI for study prep makes it manageable. If you stay on top of the work, you'll do well.

Dr. Shore is a great professor. Do not be scared of these other reviews, simply do the video lectures and take a few notes on each. SI's are incredibly helpful and the practice exams are amazing. Definitely would take again. Funny guy too.

Literally the best chem professor I have ever had. He wants everyone to understand what they are doing in class, and makes sure questions get answered. Also he is super funny, which is always a plus

Dr. Shore is an amazing professor. The class will start off very hard with quantum mechanics, but it will only get easier from there. The class is reverse lecture style, so you watch the lecture before going to class. The exams are very easy to study for, do the worksheets and practice exams and you will do amazing! He is also really funny.

He gives plenty of materials for you to succeed. There are pre-lecture videos with questions, questions during class, and post-lecture assignments that all help you understand the content. Most of these questions also end up on your exams. He gives plenty of time in class to ask questions if people are confused.
